Hello and welcome to chapter 18 and part 2 of the battle against Xehanort and Organization XIII. As you can tell by the title, I decided to split the chapter titled Battle against Organization XIII into two separate chapters. Like I said before, this chapter will consist mostly of one on one battles between our heroes and Organization XIII. However, I'll be focusing mostly on Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora's battles. This is where the real fighting begins.
Chapter 18:
In the Shinobi World, Hiashi regained consciousness and found himself in a healing room in Konoha Hospital. Looking around, he quickly grabbed the attention of the medic looking after him.
"Lord Hiashi," said the medic.
"What happened," Hiashi asked.
"The Hyūga Compound was attacked four days ago by beings called Heartless and Nobodies," the medic explained. "You and the other Hyūga tried to fight back, but they were too much for you and your clan. When Lord Hokage found out about this, he ordered us to bring you all here for examination. The other Hyūga are doing fine at the moment, but we're keeping an eye on all of them to ensure they're alright."
"I see," Hiashi replied before remembering something. "Hinata…! Where is my daughter, Hinata?"
The medic then sighed, "I'm afraid your elder daughter was kidnapped and Naruto and Lord Hokage sent out a five-man squad to find her. I'm afraid I don't have all the details about the mission though. You will have to speak to Lord Hokage about it."
"Then please, send out a message to Lord Hokage immediately," Hiashi requested. "I must speak with him at once."
In the World of Science, so many S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents were doing their best to keep the Heartless and Nobodies at bay. They were using all the weapons in their arsenal but the Heartless and Nobodies just kept on coming. Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Mockingbird were leading the frontline against the demonic beings.
"This is getting really ridiculous," said Hawkeye as he fired another arrow.
"Tell me about it," Mockingbird agreed as she kicked another Heartless. "How many of these things are there?"
"We'll have time for that later," Black Widow pointed out as she shot another Nobody. "For now, focus on protecting these people!"
At the center of this, Agent Coulson was contacting one of his fellow agents, Agent Maria Hill, about the situation in Japan. Unfortunately, Agent Hill did not seem too pleased by what she heard.
"Agent Coulson," said Agent Hill. "I have received reports that mysterious beings known as Heartless and Nobodies have been wreaking havoc upon Japan lately."
"I'm afraid that's true Agent Hill," said Agent Coulson. "We're doing all we can to contain them, but we are outnumbered. According to some the people responsible for the incident in Tokyo Disneyland last night, these Heartless feed upon the darkness found within the Hearts of all life forms. The Nobodies are the empty shells of those who fall into darkness and turn into Heartless. Some of those people are actually fighting these dark beings as we speak."
"I see," said Agent Hill. "Who are they?"
At the Keyblade Graveyard, Hinata, Syaoran, Kagome, Tasha, Kairi, Kero, and Yue all arrived at where the Gummi Ship was located. Upon arrival, they noticed that a large number of Heartless had gathered together around the ship and Shikamaru, Kiba, Akamaru, Donald and Goofy were becoming exhausted from fighting back at them. Acting fast, they each prepared to attack the Heartless in their own way and wipe them out.
"SILVER BLAZER…!"
"EIGHT TRIGRAMS AIR PALMS…!"
"GODS OF THUNDER, ANSWER MY CALL…!"
Unleashing their attacks, they took out all the Heartless surrounding the Gummi Ship with almost little effort. Upon landing, Hinata and Kairi went inside the Gummi Ship where Katara and the other Princesses of Heart were.
In the Gummi Ship, Katara was healing the Princesses of Heart when they regained consciousness, but were a bit disorientated from being sealed within crystal prisons. As they regained consciousness, they felt a slight pain in their bodies. Seeing this, Katara quickly used her water healing to help the princesses.
"Don't move," Katara told them. "You were just sealed inside crystal prisons so you all might feel stiff for a while."
"Thanks a lot, Doctor," said Alice.
Before Katara could say anything, Hinata and Kairi entered the Gummi Ship.
"Who are you," Katara asked Hinata.
"I'm Hinata Hyūga," Hinata answered.
"You're Hinata," Katara gasped upon seeing Hinata's figure. "I can't believe Naruto didn't notice you before."
"I'm really jealous of her right now," Katara thought. "Of her assets at least."
"Please don't give Naruto a hard time," said Hinata.
While Katara was healing the Princesses of Heart, the others waited outside for the rest of them to return from battling Organization XIII. They all had their sense on high alert, just in case more Heartless or Nobodies came in and attacked. At the same time, they could not help but wonder how their allies and loved ones were doing.
At the battlefield, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Aang, and Spiro were all fighting alongside the Guardians of Light against Organization XIII. It was largely a one-on-one battle for each and every one of them. Yen Sid vs. Master Xehanort, Mickey vs. Young Xehanort, Aqua vs. Terra-Xehanort, Aang vs. Ansem, Naruto vs. Xemnas, Lea vs. Saix, Spiro vs. Xigbar, Ventus vs. Vanitas, Riku vs. Kuxir, Inuyasha vs. Demyx, Sakura vs. Luxord, Sora vs. Apprentice Xehanort, and Roxas vs. Aros.
In one corner, Naruto was battling Xemnas while in Nine-Tails Sage Mode. The blonde knew that the battle was going to be intense so he went to one of his strongest forms right away to battle against the all-powerful Nobody.
"RASENGAN BARRAGE…!"
Naruto came down on Xemnas with his Rasengan Barrage, slamming a Rasengan Sphere in each of his hands down on the powerful Nobody. Xemnas summoned his Ethereal Blades and used them to stop Naruto's attack dead in its tracks. The collision of the two attacks caused a shockwave that sent them both flying a dozen meters in the other direction. The two combatants were quick to stop themselves and looked upon one another while panting.
"How interesting," said Xemnas, "to think that someone could actually handle my Ethereal Blades without the need of any weapon whatsoever…"
"Oh, I'm full of surprises," Naruto replied.
Naruto and Xemnas then charged at each other for another attack.
In another corner, Sakura was "playing cards" with Luxord. Both were powerful magicians who used cards as their weapons, but the question was which one was prepared for anything the other could throw at it.
"So, you're going to defeat me with cards of your own, Child," Luxord asked. "Let's see how well you play this game."
"This is no game," Sakura replied.
"Oh it is a game, a game of life and death," Luxord "corrected" her. "The main rule is, the first one to run out of time is the looser."
"What…?!"
Luxord suddenly transformed Sakura into a giant six-sided die, with her face in place of the one. Sakura was confused as to why she was a die, but before she could question it, Luxord began his attack on her. Sakura moved the best she could while in her die form, but she got hit by Luxord's attack.
"This is bad," she thought. "I have to change back somehow."
Suddenly, Sakura remembered something.
"SHIELD…!"
Activating the Shield Card, Sakura protected herself from the spell and changed back to normal. After that, she continued her fight with Luxord.
In the air, Spiro was evading shots from Xigbar's arrowguns while shooting fireballs as a counterattack him. He may have been covered in armor, but he knew that his draconium armor could not cover everything and he knew better than to just let himself get shot down.
As he attempted to shoot Spiro down, Xigbar laughed, "You're making this too easy, you know. I can keep this up all day."
"Is that right," Spiro replied, deflecting one of Xigbar's shots.
Suddenly, Xigbar's arrowguns ran out of ammo. Upon seeing this Spiro dove in and attacked using his tail like a whip or a club, sending Xigbar slamming into a nearby rock.
"I take that as a no," said Spiro upon landing on the ground after he attacked.
Spiro then pounced upon Xigbar in an attempt to take him down for good. But upon nearing the Nobody, Xigbar surprised Spiro by firing shots from his arrowguns, knocking him back. Luckily the armor protected the young dragon from any serious damage, but he was shocked for a moment after the surprise attack.
"Like I said you overgrown lizard," said Xigbar as he got back on his feet. "I can do this all day."
Spiro regained his composure and replied, "I see you reloaded your weapons. I let my guard down and charged in without thinking. I won't make that mistake again."
Spiro got back on his feet and continued to battle against Xigbar.
On the ground, Inuyasha was trying to deal with Demyx and his water clones. He had his Tetsusaiga out, knowing that he would need it for the battle at hand and that the battle with Xehanort was a battle that decided the fate of all worlds.
"DANCE WATER DANCE…!"
Demyx summoned more water clones to attack Inuyasha.
"Are you done summoning more of these worthless clones of yours," Inuyasha asked in annoyance.
"You getting bored of my performance," Demyx answered. "Well, you picked the wrong opponent to take out."
"Shut up," Inuyasha raised his Tetsusaiga above his hand prepared to attack.
"WIND SCAR…!"
Unleashing his Wind Scar, Inuyasha destroyed all the Demyx water clones with a single blast, leaving the original all alone. Demyx was shocked upon seeing the destructive power of Inuyasha's sword.
"Any more clones you want to throw at me, Kid," Inuyasha asked, his sword in hand, ready to attack again.
Near the center of the battlefield, Aang was doing his best to take down Ansem. He wasn't in his Avatar State yet as he still had not figured out how to go into it, despite having been told how by Wan and Raava.
"It is interesting," said Ansem as he evaded an airbending current from Aang. "I would have expected to Avatar of the Bending World to be a more formidable opponent. Why have you not gone into your Avatar State yet?"
Aang then used earthbending to try and bind Ansem in place. He realized that he would not be a match for him without going into the Avatar State. After binding Ansem, Aang used earthbending to surround himself in an earth tent, giving him the time he needed to go into the Avatar State, or so he was hoping.
Inside the tent, Aang meditated and began calling upon Wan and Raava.
Near the downed alter, Sora was holding his own against Apprentice Xehanort. He had faced Ansem and Xemnas in the past, but he had never faced off against the very form of Xehanort they had spawned from.
"Take this," Sora slashed his Keyblade at Apprentice Xehanort's body.
Apprentice Xehanort summoned his Keyblade and blocked Sora's attack with little effort. He then slashed at Sora, sending him flying a few feet in the other direction. Sora got back up and he and Apprentice Xehanort quickly got into a sword dual with their Keyblades. Sora seemed to be doing well at first, but Apprentice Xehanort once again forced him several feet in the other direction.
"I am disappointed," said Apprentice Xehanort. "I expected the one who took out my Heartless and my Nobody to be more of a challenge."
Sora got back up and replied, "I'm not done yet…!"
Sora quickly went into one of his drive forms, his limited form. His cloths changed color, with a red jumpsuit, a black hoodie that's black on the outside and blue on the inside with white sleeves ending in grey edging and a red crown on the knees and sleeves, white gloves with blue, black and yellow straps, shoes mainly yellow and black with belt-straps holding them closed with grey lower portions that end with a small triangular patch of blue.
"Limited Form, huh," said Apprentice Xehanort.
"SONIC BLADE…!"
Sora used Sonic Blade and started to execute a number of successive thrusting attacks against Young Xehanort.
In the Shinobi World, the five Kage were discussing what was going on. Suddenly, a messenger came in with a message for Kakashi. "Lord Hokage sorry for interrupting, but Lord Hiashi would like a word with you immediately."
"Hiashi," Kakashi gasped.
"What's going on Hokage," A. asked.
"I'll get back to you on that, Lord Raikage," Kakashi went to see Hiashi.
In his room Hiashi was waiting for Kakashi to arrive. When he did, Hiashi asked Kakashi about the mission to rescue his daughter.
"According to a stranger named Sora, Hinata is one of the eight Princesses of Heart and Xehanort needs them all to create the χ-blade," Kakashi explained. "That's why his group, Organization XIII, kidnapped her. Unfortunately, once the χ-blade is forged, the Eighth Princess will die. As we speak right now, Naruto, Sakura, Shikamaru, Kiba, Akamaru, and Lee are looking for Hinata along with Sora and his comrades."
"I see," Hiashi sighed. "Then please, ask Lord Kazekage to inform Naruto."
"About what," Kakashi asked.
Hiashi explained to Kakashi what he wanted to have Gaara and Killer B. tell to Naruto about. After hearing it, Kakashi relayed the information to the other Kage.
"I see," Gaara replied.
"So it would seem that the Hyūga Clan is more involved with this than we originally believed," said Ōnoki.
"It certainly seems like that," Mei agreed.
"I'll inform Killer B. about this immediately," A. said to the others.
"And I'll inform Hotaru," said Mei.
In the world of Science, Eriol was in London dealing with a large number of Heartless and Nobodies. With him were his guardians Spinel Sun and Ruby Moon who were both in their true forms, fighting alongside him as the Heartless and Nobodies continued to come from all directions.
"One after the other," said Spinel.
"Yeah, this is getting ridiculous," said Ruby.
Ruby and Spinel attacked and destroyed a few more Heartless and Nobodies, but more kept coming and coming. Eriol used his staff and destroyed a large number of Heartless.
"Keep fighting you two," said Eriol. "We must protect the citizens…!"
More Heartless and Nobodies arrived and tried to attack the trio.
Elsewhere in the city, Kaho was helping to get the citizens to safety. "Everyone, please stay calm…!"
At the Keyblade Graveyard, the number of Heartless and Nobodies continued to increase, especially around the Gummi Ship.
"SILVER BLAZER…!"
"SHADOW STITCHING JUTSU…!"
"FANG OVER FANG…!"
"GOD OF FIRE, ANSWER MY CALL…!"
They unleashed one attack after the other, but the Heartless and Nobodies kept coming and coming. They were drawn towards the energy and presence of the Princesses of Heart within the area as they were attempting to attack their pure hearts. They desired to destroy them, in contrast to Xehanort's desire to use them to create the χ-blade.
At the battlefield, the Guardians of Light and their allies' battle with Organization XIII was beginning to intensify.
In the center of it all, Masters Yen Sid and Xehanort were battling at their best against one another.
"You never should have let all those None Keyblade Wielders join this fight, Yen Sid. Now they shall suffer a fate greater than they could ever have imagined," Xehanort criticized Yen Sid.
"Perhaps you are right, Xehanort," Yen Sid partially agreed. "However, none of that matters now. What is done is done. You should be more worried about how this will all play out without the Eighth Princess around to absorb the parts needed to create the χ-blade."
"Indeed," Xehanort agreed. "I always have backup plans in case one fails. However, there are things that neither you nor I can predict. Still there is one thing that may prove to be a chink in anything I have planned, even in my backup plans. That Uzumaki boy… As soon as I am finished with you, I'll kill Naruto Uzumaki myself."
"You shall do no such thing Xehanort," Yen Sid announced.
Yen Sid then unleashed a bombardment of fierce strikes against Xehanort, and Master Xehanort did the same with Yen Sid.
Meanwhile Naruto was still in his one on one fight against Xemnas. By now, Xemnas had realized that Naruto was no joke and decided to go all out.
"This ends here," Xemnas announced.
Xemnas then took on his dragon form and prepared to kill Naruto with everything he had. In response, Naruto placed his hand on his seal and went into Tailed Beast Mode.
"KURAMA…!"
Naruto took on the form of Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox, and started punching Xemnas' dragon form in the face.
Kurama spoke to Naruto. "Naruto, this man…"
"Yeah, I know Kurama," Naruto replied. "He's the strongest opponent we've faced since Kaguya, so we have to be on our toes. But still, I'll save Six Paths Sage Mode for last, if I can help it."
"Very well," Kurama sighed. "But use that form when you feel it is necessary, no later than that."
"I will," Naruto agreed.
Xemnas took to the air and prepared to attack Naruto from above. Naruto was not intimidated by this as he had seen things like that before. He got on all fours and started running like a wild fox to avoid Xemnas' attacks. His cloak may have protected him from attacks, but he remembered from his fight with Inuyasha that it could be penetrated. Xemnas fired an energy beam from the mouth of his dragon form at Naruto, but Naruto evaded it countered with a Tailed Beast Bomb.
While fighting, Naruto heard the telepathic call from his fellow Jinchuriki.
"Naruto, this is Gaara," Gaara called out. "Can you hear me?"
"Yo, Naruto, this is Killer B. here," Killer B. called out. "Please respond."
"Gaara, Hotaru, Yukimaru, Octopops, what's going on," Naruto asked telepathically.
"We're contacting you through our Tailed Beasts," Hotaru explained.
"Then your connections were reestablished to," Naruto gasped. "That's great. What's going on back at home?"
"Nothing too good," Gaara answered. "The number of Heartless and Nobodies has only increased and each of our villages' shinobi are running out of chakra. We can't keep this up for much longer."
"Naruto, what's going on," Kurama asked in annoyance.
"Sorry Kurama," Naruto answered. "Take over the fight for a minute. The other Jinchuriki have some information we may need."
"Okay, but don't take too long," Kurama sighed. "I don't know how long I can hold this fool off."
Kurama then took over the fight against Xemnas While Naruto got vital information from his fellow Jinchuriki.
Elsewhere on the battlefield, Sakura was doing her best against Luxord. The two magicians were "playing" cards against each other, Sakura's cards against Luxord's cards, both trying to make the other run out of time.
"WOOD…!"
Sakura used the Wood Card as she tried to imprison Luxord in a cage of vines.
"I don't think so," said Luxord. "Pay close attention, child…"
Luxord put himself into one of his cards, preventing Wood from imprisoning him. He then shuffled his card with four other cards and scattered them all face down to confuse Sakura.
Sakura was shocked upon seeing Luxord "imprison" himself within one of his cards, and it only got more confusing when Luxord shuffled his card with four others. Sakura tried to search for Luxord among the five six-foot tall cards that were surrounding her. Sadly with the cards facedown and moving, that was no easy task. Next thing she knew, the cards stood up with their backs facing Sakura as she still tried to find Luxord. To Sakura, the cards looked as if they were going to imprison her as she tried to do to Luxord with the Wood Card earlier.
"This is bad," Sakura thought. "I have to find the card he's in before he attacks…!"
Sakura took her staff and activated one of her cards.
"TIME…!"
Activating the Time Card, Sakura attempted to freeze time and stop Luxord so she could have the time to find his card. But to her surprise, Luxord's cards were still moving as if the Time Card was never activated while everything else was frozen in time.
"Trying to freeze time, are we," Luxord taunted. "Well my element is time so this spell does not work on me I'm afraid."
Sakura was horrified upon learning that one of her strongest cards was useless against her opponent. However, telling her that the Time Card was useless against him, Luxord gave away his position to Sakura and her comrades. Suddenly one of Sakura's guardians, Yue, arrived on the scene and attacked Luxord, being unaffected by the Time Card's magic as well.
"Yue," Sakura gasped.
"You should pay attention to your opponent Sakura," Yue pointed out. "By telling you he was unaffected by Time's magic, he gave away his position."
Suddenly, the Time Card's magic dissipated and everything started to move again. Kero arrived on the scene soon after to assist Sakura in her battle against Luxord, much to both Sakura and Luxord's surprise.
"Kero, Yue," Sakura gasped.
"We're not letting you do this alone, Sakura," Kero replied.
"I don't know how your two guardians managed to get through my barrier, but it matters not," said Luxord. "The game is far from over child."
"We'll see," Sakura glared at Luxord.
Sakura took up her staff as Kero and Yue stood side by side her.
In Feudal Japan, Totosai was doing his best to keep his home free of the Heartless and Nobodies. He continuously breathed fire at the Heartless and Nobodies, but he was running out of energy to do so, fast.
"This is ridiculous," said Totosai. "I haven't had to waste my strength on something as simple as this since the So'unga Incident."
In Draco Sanctuary's neighboring land, Homo Sanctuary, the humans were having just as much trouble with the Heartless and the Nobodies as the dragons were. All throughout the city of Uther, the capital of Homo Sanctuary, Lilly and her friends were doing their best to help everyone in their home to safety.
"Everyone, hurry," said Ally as she and Bob helped to escort the civilians to safety.
"Do not panic, people," said Bob. "This shelter will protect you from those Heartless and Nobodies. It's full of light magic so they will not attack you as long as you're in there."
Lilly watched as the civilians were escorted to safety as she looked up to the sky, hoping that Spiro was doing something to protect them all. She had heard that Spiro and Tasha had left their home world to do something to stop the Heartless and Nobodies attacking them all. "Bob, Ally, how is the evacuation of the city going," she asked her friends.
"We're doing everything we can, Lilly," Ally answered. "But Bob and I can't keep it up forever."
"I'll help then," said Lilly.
As Lilly joined the evacuation effort, she looked to the sky and thought, "Spiro, wherever you are, please hurry. We cannot keep the civilians safe forever. There is not enough room for everyone in this shelter as my friends let them believe and the light energy that surrounds the inside will not last."
At the Keyblade Graveyard, Inuyasha was swinging his sword, cutting down one clone after the other. At the end of the day, he was not getting anywhere against Demyx.
"You're getting on my nerves Kid," Inuyasha complained.
"Well, did they ever pick the wrong guy for this mission," Demyx giggled.
"BUBBLE BLASTER…!"
Demyx fired one of his more offensive attacks at Inuyasha, hoping that he was tired enough for his attack to be successful.
Inuyasha slashed through the last of the water clones, but then got hit by Demyx's attack and took some damage. But much to Demyx's surprise, Inuyasha still had more than enough fight left in him.
"So, you finally decided to attack me yourself, huh," Inuyasha smirked. "Well then, prepare yourself kid."
"WIND SCAR…!"
Inuyasha fired the Wind Scar directly and Demyx, knowing that it would cause major damage, if not death, to the Nobody if it made contact. Seeing this, Demyx acted on instinct and attempted to shield himself from the attack. He summoned several pillars of water and absorbed most of the Wind Scar's force, minimizing the damage that would his him. He even got in between the path of the claw-shaped bursts and managed to avoid any damage. But just as the attack disappeared, Inuyasha jumped at Demyx, knowing that he was still alive, and swung his sword down on him. Demyx saw this and used his sitar, the Arpeggio, to block Inuyasha's Tetsusaiga from slashing his flesh.
"I knew that you somehow survived my attack," said Inuyasha as he tried to make his sword cut through Demyx's sitar.
"I knew that they picked the wrong guy for this mission, but this is ridiculous," Demyx complained as he tried to push Inuyasha's sword away from him.
"Yeah well you're here now, so no complaining about it," Inuyasha pointed out.
Inuyasha and Demyx moved away from one another and prepared to attack each other once again. Tetsusaiga took on its Diamond form and Inuyasha was ready to swing it.
"BUBBLE BLASTER…!"
"ADAMENT BARRAGE…!"
In the air, Spiro was still battling Xigbar. It was mostly an exchange of shots between the two combatants, both exchanging shot after shot, blast after blast. Spiro was firing a barrage of firebeams at the Nobody while Xigbar was shooting a bombardment of arrows from his arrow guns at the firedrake dragon. The battle was not going anywhere as neither combatant was able to deal any real damage to the other.
"Is that all you've got, dragon," Xigbar asked as he continued to shoot. "If it is, this will be over sooner than I had hoped."
Spiro knew that Xigbar was right so he had to adapt his strategy to better handle the Nobody. Changing tactics, Spiro took a deep breath and unleash his supersonic screech upon the Xigbar, stunning for a brief moment. The sound carried on for miles and everyone in its range heard it loud and clear. Upon being paralyzed, Xigbar was helpless as Spiro flew in and sank his talons deep into the flesh of the one-eyed Nobody and carried him into the air.
"You are right, Xigbar," Spiro agreed. "This will be over, for you…!"
"What are you doing," Xigbar gasped upon seeing that he was in the air.
"What does it look like I am doing," Spiro replied. "I am carrying you into the sky, towards your doom…!"
"NOVA TWISTER…!"
Spiro started to spin rapidly and surrounded himself and Xigbar with fire as he spun in midair, turning them both into a flaming drill. As they spun, the heat of the fire surrounding them reached a temperature that would melt solid rock and was rising fast. Realizing that the young dragon was attempting to burn him alive, Xigbar shot one of is arrow guns at the Gummi Ship several miles away. While the shot did not damage the ship, it was not meant to damage something made of metal. The moment the shot hit the ship, Xigbar disappeared from Spiro's grip, catching the young firedrake off guard. He did not know what had just happened, but he could no longer feel Xigbar in his grasp and stopped spinning.
"What is this," Spiro gasped upon stopping.
Spiro scanned the area, searching for the Nobody by his sent.
At the Gummi Ship sight, Tasha noticed that Kero and Yue had gone missing and asked, "Where did Kero and Yue go…?"
"They probably went to help out Sakura on the battlefield," Syaoran answered.
Suddenly, Xigbar reappeared and surprised everyone.
"Surprised to see me," Xigbar asked everyone.
"Xigbar," Shikamaru gasped upon recognizing the Nobody's face.
"So you remember me," Xigbar smirked. "That makes things easier for me."
"You know this guy," Kagome asked.
"He's one of the people who kidnapped Hinata," Shikamaru answered Kagome.
Kiba and Akamaru instantly became furious upon hearing what Shikamaru said to Kagome.
"So, you're one of the people who kidnapped my teammate," Kiba growled.
"Oh, did I hit a nerve point, Dog Breath," Xigbar teased. "Well if you don't mind, I'm going to take her back to the battlefield now so that she can take in the seven part of light and thirteen parts of darkness."
"We won't let you do that," Tasha shouted.
"So it's a fight then," Xigbar asked. "Bring it on young dragon…!"
Syaoran pointed his sword directly at Xigbar and glared at him knowing that a fight was about to ensue.
"GOLDEN BLAZER…!"
Suddenly, Spiro arrived on the scene and fired his Golden Blazer at the Nobody. The blast caught everyone off guard, including Xigbar as he was hoping not to engage Spiro again so soon.
"Sorry I'm late," Spiro apologized to his comrades. "Someone forgot to send me an invitation."
"Spiro, how did this guy get here," Tasha asked.
"He aimed his weapon at the ship while we were in the air and fired one of his shots at it," Spiro explained, having seen Xigbar's actions while he had him in his grip. "Next thing I knew, he disappeared and reappeared to where you all are."
"Teleportation," Shikamaru gasped. "So that's how he reappeared so suddenly back at the village," he thought. "He must have shots that can teleport him to anywhere he shoots, much like the Flying Raijin Jutsu. We have to find some way to take those weapons of his away from him…!"
"So now you know my trick," Xigbar grinned. "Let's see you try and counter it."
"That will not be easy, but we will get around your trick," Spiro announced.
In the Bending World, the Northern Water Tribe was heavily attacked by the Heartless and Nobodies. Master Paku and his disciples were using their waterbending skills to protect the civilians.
"Everyone, strike…!"
Master Paku and his students attacked the Heartless and Nobodies surround the palace with a waterbending wave. The worriers struck them down with their spears and sword, but it was no use.
"Master Paku, they are still coming," Chief Arnook called out.
"I can see that Chief," said Paku as he bent the water surrounding the palace to stop the Heartless and Nobodies.
Unfortunately, Paku's efforts were not enough as he could only control the water so much and the Heartless and Nobodies surrounding the royal palace came out in places he could not reach.
"No…!"
One Heartless came down and was about to attack the chief. Paku tried to stop it, but it was no use. But just as all hope seemed lost, the water around the palace came to life in a way even Paku and his students could not do, even at night. The Heartless and Nobodies were all destroyed and a light came out of the water as it parted. Arnook and Paku both gasped as they saw someone appear as the light faded.
"Yue," Arnook gasped.
Yue look towards her father and tearfully smiled at him. "Hello Father."
"Princess, but how is that possible," Paku gasped upon seeing the former princess.
"I am no longer a princess, Master Paku," Yue corrected. "I am the Moon Spirit and I cannot stay in the mortal world for too long. I am only here to help stop the Heartless and the Nobodies from attacking my former home. But rest assure my former people, Avatar Aang will find the source of this problem and stop it."
At Yen Sid's Tower, the others were still waiting for the Princesses of Heart to be returned safely. As they were waiting, some were growing more restless than others about what was going on.
"What's taking so long," Beast asked as he paced back and forth, hands behind his back. "They should've been back by now. Why aren't they here yet?!"
"That's what I want to know," Grumpy agreed, being equally restless and impatient as the Beast.
"This Xehanort guy must be much stronger than we thought," Aladdin worked out.
The Beast turned to Aladdin and asked, "Aladdin, you have your genie, don't you? Why didn't you just ask him to bring everyone back?"
"I already tried that," Aladdin pointed out. "It didn't work."
The Beast then sighed while looking out the window of the tower.
Suddenly, Heartless and Nobodies started popping out inside and around the tower and prepared to attack everyone inside.
"What the devil," Doc gasped.
"We're under attack," Beast yelled.
"Everyone, prepare to fight," Leon called out.
At the Keyblade Graveyard, Aang was inside the earth tent, gathering universal energy and trying to link with Raava to enter the Avatar State. As Princess Yue had explained, going into the Avatar State outside of the Bending World was harder than it was inside it and Aang had to be in perfect sync with Raava for it to work. He may have been able to go into the Avatar State with ease back at Disney Castle, but he was informed after that battle that the Cornerstone of Light made it easier for him to do so. As soon as the process was complete and Aang was perfectly synchronized with Raava, he went into the Avatar State, came out of the earth tent, and prepared to resume his battle with Ansem. He breathed fire from his mouth and each of his fists and feet in a star formation, pulled water from the air underground, drew chunks of rock from the surrounding cliffs, surrounded himself in an air bubble, and had the other three elements surround and orbit his body rapidly in rings.
Ansem was shocked and intrigued. "So this is your Avatar State?"
"Do you even have to ask," Aang responded along with all his past lives all the way to Avatar Wan speaking through his mouth. "With this form, I have the power and knowledge of all the past avatars coursing through my body."
"I see," Ansem replied. "That explains why your voice sounds like many people are talking at once. But will all that power be enough to save you from the darkness? I think not. For you see, darkness concurs all worlds!"
Ansem then summoned the World of Chaos Heartless and fused with it to combat Aang's Avatar State with everything he had. He also summoned his dual-bladed Soul Eater halberd as added offense against the young avatar. Aang was shocked at what he saw. Before him was a "human being", fused with a gigantic "airship", and preparing to fight him as a single entity.
Within seconds, Aang and Ansem resumed their fight. Aang unleashed five streams of fire from his "ring of fire" at the Heartless in different angles. Ansem used his halberd to block the firebending attack from Aang, spinning it like a fan. Aang then took one of the rocks form his "earth ring" and fired tiny fragments of it at Ansem at machinegun-speed. Ansem again used his halberd to deflect the pebbles by spinning it like a fan. But while he was doing so, he failed to noticed another stream if fire coming at him from behind. When he did notice it, it was too late and he was consumed by the flames. Fortunately, he survived the blast, but then Aang came in close range and unleash a strong gust from his "air bubble" and sent Ansem and the World of Chaos slamming into the cliff behind him.
Recovering from slamming into the cliff, Ansem summoned his guardian and had it unleash energy disks at Aang. The young avatar saw these disks and used the water whip technique to unleash two whips from his "water ring" and had them whip all the disks from the air before they hit him. He then extended the whips at Ansem, but the Heartless was ready for it.
"COME GUARDIAN…!"
Ansem used his guardian to block the water whips, forcing Aang to retract them back into his ring. Aang then shot a strong fire blast from his "ring of fire" directly at Ansem's guardian, hoping to distract the being. It worked, and while the guardian was distracted, Aang used his waterbending to coil Ansem in a rope of water and separated him from the World of Chaos. It seemed to work and he slammed the powerful Heartless onto the ground. He then used his earthbending to surround the Heartless with a tent of crystals.
"I hope those crystals will be enough," Aang thought.
"Aang, don't let your guard down," Raava informed Aang.
Aang soon found out what Raava meant when the crystals started to fracture and Ansem appeared once again, this time in his second form.
One the ground, Sora was still in a sword dual with Apprentice Xehanort as he unleashed thrust after thrust with his Keyblade, using his Sonic Blade technique. However, Apprentice Xehanort unleashed his Dark Impulse upon the young Keyblade Wielder, clashing with the Sonic Blade. The two attacks collided and caused a struggle of light and darkness between the two Keyblade Wielders. Sora soon gained the upper hand as his determination to stop Organization XIII grew. Eventually, the two Keyblade Wielders pushed each other away from one another and stared each other down, panting.
"The Keyblade War will never happen," Sora announced.
"You think you can stop an event destined to happen," Apprentice Xehanort questioned calmly. "The seeds of war have already sprouted and they will grow."
"Not without the Eighth Princess of Heart, they won't," Sora countered before attacking again.
"STRIKE RAID…!"
Sora hurled his Keyblade at Apprentice Xehanort five times, summoning it back to his hand each time. However, Apprentice Xehanort deflected the attack every single time with his own Keyblade. "My turn," he said.
"ROCKBREAKER…!"
Apprentice Xehanort summoned ten rock pillars from the ground and directed them all at Sora. Sora noticed the pillars and was quick to respond. But before he could do anything, his limited form ran out and he reverted back to his normal form, forcing him to handle the oncoming attack without any enhancement for a while.
"THUNDARA…!"
Sora used the Thundara spell and shot down all the pillars with a series of thunderbolts. Sora then charged at Apprentice Xehanort and started striking him with a series of slashes from his Keyblade. Once again, Apprentice Xehanort deflected them, though not all of them as some got through his defenses.
"COME GUARDIAN…!"
Out of nowhere, Apprentice Xehanort summoned the exact same guardian Ansem had in his possession and used it to defect Sora's attacks.
Across the battlefield, Aqua was fighting Terra-Xehanort, the younger version of Apprentice Xehanort, with everything she had when he two summoned the dark guardian to block her attacks.
"Terra," Aqua called out.
"When will you ever get it," Terra Xehanort replied. "You're friend's heart belongs to darkness now. There is nothing you can do to change that."
But Aqua refused to believe that and answered, "No. I'll keep fighting until I get through to you, Terra…!"
"Then Parish," Terra Xehanort then razed his Keyblade into the air.
Apprentice Xehanort did the same thing in his battle with Sora.
"METEOR…!"
Both Terra Xehanort and Apprentice Xehanort summoned meteors and prepared to hurtle them down onto the battlefield.
All over the battlefield, everyone saw the meteors the incarnations of Xehanort had summoned. They were massive pieces of rock the size of a Tailed Beast and would do major damage to everyone involved in the battle and beyond. Masters Yen Sid and Xehanort even noticed them and were shocked.
"What, no," Yen Sid gasped.
"Those fools," Xehanort grunted. "Did they have to summon meteors that big…?"
"What, oh no," Mickey gasped.
"Apparently, those two really don't have my future form's memories," Young Xehanort shook his head.
"Terra, no," Ventus gasped upon seeing the meteors.
"Don't you dare look away," Vanitas attacked Ventus while he was distracted.
"This is bad," Riku noted.
"Don't worry, you won't be here when those meteors hit," Kuxir attacked Riku while he was distracted.
"Isa, we need to get out of here," Lea said to his friend's Nobody.
"The only one who is getting out of here is Master Xehanort with the χ-blade," Saix continued to fight Lea.
"You and I could stop those things if we remerge with Sora," Roxas said to Aros.
"Like I would ever go back to our original form," Aros responded to Roxas before continuing the fight.
"Terra, no," Aqua called out in horror of seeing the meteors.
"What, you can't be serious," Sora gasped.
"It's too late," Terra Xehanort and Apprentice Xehanort said to Sora and Aqua simultaneously. "It has already begun."
"We have to stop those things," Sakura said to her two guardians.
"Yue, you know what to do," Kero said to Yue.
Yue agreed and he and Kero merged with Sakura's staff, transforming it. The staff's main shaft grew to around three meters in length and the circle around the star disappeared. The wings also grew in size. In addition, a crescent moon and sun appeared under the star. This was the staff's Guardian Form, and with it, Sakura's powers were at their most powerful.
With her staff ready to go, Sakura prepared to take out the meteors. But before she could do anything, Luxord stopped her in her tracks. "The game's not over yet Lass," he said.
"I don't have the time," Sakura sighed.
"What the hell," Inuyasha gasped upon noticing the meteors.
"What are those guys thinking," Demyx gasped.
At the Gummi Ship, the battle with Xigbar was still going on when the sight of the meteors at the battlefield caught everyone's attention.
"Holy Smoke," Spiro and Tasha gasped together.
"What's going on over there," Kiba asked.
"I don't know, but if those meteors hit the ground, our friends and allies will be crushed," Shikamaru answered.
"You may as well consider them dead now," Xigbar smirked.
"Sakura…!"
"Inuyasha…!"
In the Gummi Ship, Hinata, Kairi, and Katara noticed the meteor and were immediately agitated.
"Aang…!"
"Sora…!"
"Naruto…!"
Thinking on his feet, Shikamaru used his radio to contact Naruto on the battlefield. "Naruto, this is Shikamaru…! Do you hear me…?"
On the battlefield, Naruto had finished his communication with Gaara and Killer B. when he received Shikamaru's call. "I hear you Shikamaru," he replied. "What's going on?"
"Look above you," Shikamaru said over the radio.
Naruto looked above and saw the meteors coming down thanks to Terra Xehanort and Apprentice Xehanort. "Oh crap," Naruto gasped.
"Yeah, and if those meteors hit the ground, everyone will die," Shikamaru replied.
"Alright, I'm on it," Naruto replied. "Over and out…!"
Naruto then took over his Avatar body and knocked Xemnas into a cliff with a strong punch. He then turned his attention to the meteors. "Kurama, do you think we can handle this," he asked Kurama.
"Don't worry, I've prepared chakra for you," Kurama answered.
Naruto then deactivated his tailed beast avatar before he briefly entered Six-Paths Sage Mode, raised his hand into the air, created two Tailed-Beast Bomb Rasenshuriken, and prepared to use them on the meteors.
"TAILED-BEAST BOMB RASENSHURIKEN…!"
Naruto hurled his attack at the meteors, destroying them on contact. While Naruto went out of Six-Paths Sage Mode, Aang noticed what he did as well and used his earthbending to catch the debris and add them to his earth ring.
All around, everyone was shocked at how powerful Naruto was when he destroyed the meteors with just one attack for each. Shikamaru, Kiba, and Hinata were surprised as they had witnessed Naruto do the same thing to Madara's meteors last year before the Infinite Tsukuyomi activated, especially Hinata. "Naruto," she thought with a smile.
Masters Yen Sid and Xehanort were both impressed.
"What in the name of Walt," Yen Sid gasped.
"We have both only seen recordings of the Jinchuriki in action, my old friend, at least until now," Master Xehanort smirked. "Pity, if it wasn't for the Nine-Tails or the seal that holds or once held it, I would have picked Naruto as my thirteenth vestal in Sora's place. But alas, when someone tries to transfer his or her mind or heart into a Jinchuriki, they either get trapped by the seal or devoured by the Tailed Beast."
Yen Sid glared at Xehanort and said, "You sound as if you tried it before, Xehanort."
"Of course, I haven't," Xehanort replied. "But I'm more than willing to help you try it yourself if you like."
Yen Sid took up a fighting stance and said, "You're not tricking me into doing something you would do Xehanort!"
"I never was," Xehanort then attacked Yen Sid and their dual continued.
All around them everyone else resumed their fights.
At the Gummi Ship, the battle with Xigbar was getting more and more chaotic as he fired shot after shot at his opponents.
"Heads up," Xigbar fired some shots at Shikamaru.
"SHADOW STITCHING JUTSU…!"
Using his Shadow Stitching Jutsu, Shikamaru managed to deflect all the shots that were fired at him.
Spiro then charged in and attacked Xigbar. He sunk his fire-covered draconium talons into his flesh and carried him high into the air.
"Let's see you try to escape this time," Spiro said to the Nobody.
"NOVA TWISTER…!"
Once again, Spiro tried out his Nova Twister attack on the one-eyed Nobody, hoping for different results now that Xigbar was somewhat weakened. Xigbar felt the heat and his cloths began to burn from the flames as he went on. However, like before, he fired a teleportation shot at the Gummi Ship and teleported away from Spiro, as the last one he shot disappeared after he used it. But this time, his opponents were ready for him.
From out of the Gummi Ship, Katara, Kairi, and Hinata came out and attacked the Nobody with their abilities. Katara used her waterbending, Kairi slashed with her Keyblade, and Hinata attacked with her gentle fist attacks.
"GENTLE STEP: TWIN LION FISTS…!"
All three girls came at the Nobody with everything they had. Their attacks were so vigorous that Xigbar could not find any room to counter attack. He tried firing his Sharpshooters at the three girls, but Hinata and Katara deflected every single shot he fired. But then Xigbar remembered his special shots and prepared them into his arrowguns.
Hinata's Byakugan noticed the special shots and she was quick to warn everyone. "Everyone, look out…!"
But it was no use as Xigbar fired the special shots at Hinata, Kairi and Katara. The moment the shot hit the area in between the three girls, it started draining each of their energies rapidly.
On the ground, the others saw what was going on and were horrified.
"What's going on," Kiba asked.
"Apparently, Xigbar has shots that drain a person's energy," Shikamaru answered. "That's how he was able to capture Hinata back at the village."
"But why didn't he use those things on Naruto," Kiba asked.
"More importantly, why didn't he use them on either me or Spiro when we attacked," Tasha asked.
"He must only be able to carry so many of those shots at once so he can't waste them on just anyone," Spiro pointed out.
"What are we going to do," Goofy asked.
"That's it, I've had enough of this," Kagome drew her bow and fired an arrow at Xigbar.
Upon hitting him, the arrow purified Xigbar and somehow cast the fragment of Xehanort's Heart inside the Nobody out. Xigbar felt this as his power was drained and his connection with Master Xehanort was severed. Xigbar's power dropped rapidly as he lost his Xehanort half and returned to normal. As he returned to normal, his special shots disappeared and whatever energy was taken from Hinata and the others was restored. Next thing he knew Kairi came in and used her Keyblade to knock his Sharpshooters out of his hands and onto the ground below. However, Xigbar summoned his weapons back into his hands and prepared to fire at them.
"Nice try girls, but I won't go down so easily," He smirked at them.
But before Xigbar could fire, Spiro came in and tackled him off the ship and into the nearby cliff.
On the cliff, Spiro started thrashing at Xigbar with his claws and teeth, trying to take him out quickly. But Xigbar quickly knocked the firedrake off of him and prepared to attack again.
"Heads Up," Xigbar fired his Sharpshooters at Spiro.
Using his speed, Spiro evaded every single shot from the Nobody until he was all out.
"My turn," Spiro arched his neck and prepared to attack.
"GOLDEN BLAZER…!"
Firing his Golden Blazer attack, Spiro scorched Xigbar to a crisp, killing him in the process and sending him back to be a part of Braig once more. With the Nobody gone, there was one less Seeker of Darkness around to create the χ-blade.
Spiro looked at Hinata, Kairi and Katara and apologized for letting them see such a terrible thing happen before their eyes, but they all forgave him quickly as there was no time for such things.
Tasha looked up and noticed a dark sphere in the air. "What is that," She pointed out.
Everyone looked at the piece of darkness before it flew back to the battlefield.
"I think that was a piece of Xehanort's Heart," Kairi explained. "It must have been cast out of Xigbar when Kagome shot him."
Spiro then realized something. "That's it. I think I know how to weaken the Seekers of Darkness. But we will need Kagome to come along."
Kagome gasped. "What can I do?"
Shikamaru quickly picked up on where Spiro was going with this. "Interesting plan, Spiro," He thought. "I just hope it works."
And that was chapter 18 and it looks like Spiro figured out how to defeat Organization XIII. For those who don't know, Kagome's ability to cast out fragments of Xehanort's Heart from Xigbar's body is the same power she used to cast Naraku's presence from Hitomiko in her respective series. Now I apologize for not focusing on the battles involving Riku, Ventus, Aqua, Mickey, Lea, and Roxas. But as I said before, this chapter was broken up into 2 parts and those battles will get focused on in the next part. And as you saw, Hinata, Syaoran, Kagome, Tasha, Katara, and Kairi are going to get involved. Stay tuned.
Chapter 19: Battle Against Organization XIII Part 2
