A/N: Here is Chapter 22 for you all! As always, go to Chapter 1 for disclaimers. Without further or do, here is Chapter 22.

"Well at least we now know what he has done to you and mom." - 9-month-old Kali

Chapter 22: New Adventure

Meanwhile, Aisha, Kali, and Penda were heading towards the Outlands. Kali then suddenly realized Timon and Pumbaa heading their way. "Oh great," Kali muttered rolling her amber eyes.

"What sis?" Aisha asked. She then noticed Timon and Pumbaa following them. "Oh I get what you mean," Aisha muttered.

"How in the world are we going to get rid of them?" Penda asked.

"Play dumb," Kali said. She then shouted, "Aisha, Penda let's go to a nearby watering hole!"

"What," Penda began. "What..."

"Just play along with it," Aisha hissed.

"Oh," Penda said quietly. Then he shouted, "Hey that's cheating!" They pretended to run to the nearby watering hole. Instead, they hid behind a nearby tree. They saw Timon and Pumbaa heading to the watering hole.

"Phew that was close," Kali said, wiping the sweat on her forehead.

"Very close to being caught," Aisha said. "But now that they are at the watering hole let's go to the Outlands."

"You bet that sis," Kali said smiling at her twin. With that, the three cubs began heading to the direction of the Outlands.

A few minutes later the three cubs had reached the Outlands. "Oh god this place stinks," Penda said, covering his nose with his paw.

"Yep," Kali said, covering her nose with her paw as well, while Aisha did the same thing. "This place really does stink. I honestly don't know why Zira and her followers would live here though."

"Right?" Aisha said. "Like why live here? Why can't they live in another land?"

"Well from what I heard Zira wants revenge on dad," Kali informed her sister. "Zira has been quite bitter ever since Scar died. And she believes dad killed him."

"Why would Zira think King Simba killed Scar?" Penda asked.

"I have no idea Penda," Kali said, shaking her head. "Probably because she was Scar's queen during his reign."

"Zira was Scar's queen?!" Aisha asked with wide eyes, shocked at what she heard.

"You weren't told this Aisha?" Kali asked unable to hide the shock.

"No," Aisha said shaking her head. "Who told you this?"

"Mom and Kopa," Kali confirmed.

"Why didn't they tell me?" Aisha asked.

"Ask them," Kali said. "I have no idea why they didn't tell you."

"They have a lot of explaining to do," Aisha said. Just then they heard a voice say, "Who are you guys?" The three cubs gasped and spun around to see a lion was roughly a year old. This lion had a brown coat, blood-red eyes, and a jet black mane on top of his head. And he looked scrawny.

"Who are you?" Kali gasped.

"What are you termites doing here?" The lion asked.

"Did you just call us termites?" Kali growled, glaring at the brown lion.

"You had better not be threatening us," Aisha growled. "Or I swear to the kings above I will end your life."

"Whoa ok jeez," the lion said. "I didn't mean to call you termites."

"What's your name?" Penda asked.

"Nuka," the lion said.

"Nuka?" Aisha said. "But that means stink doesn't it?"

"It does," Nuka confirmed. "But what are you kids doing here?"

"We were just exploring," Kali informed Nuka. "Until we came here. Is it even forbidden to come here?"

"Well..." Nuka began. But he then heard a voice say, "Looks like we got food here." Nuka spun to see Zira standing there. Aisha, Kali, and Penda gasped realizing Zira had come onto the scene along with her followers.

"Well, what are you ladies waiting for?" Zira asked with a sneer. "Get them!" With that Zira's lionesses charged towards Aisha, Kali, and Penda.

"Guys we gotta run!" Kali shouted.

"But Kali.." Penda began.

"Now Penda!" Aisha shouted. With that, the three cubs made a run for it with Zira's lionesses right behind them.

"Nuka!" Zira roared furiously once the lionesses were gone. "What are you doing here?!"

"I-I-I," Nuka stammered nervously.

"You were supposed to be watching Kovu and Vitani!" Zira shouted furiously.

"I-I'm sorry mother," Nuka said nervously.

"Sorry doesn't work!" Zira snapped. "Go back and babysit them now!"

"B-But mother," Nuka stammered.

"I said now!" Zira roared, striking Nuka in the face sending him crashing to the ground.

"O-Ok mother," Nuka stammered nervously, getting up on his feet and rubbing his face. With that Nuka headed back to the termite mound to babysit Kovu and Vitani training.

Meanwhile, Penda, Aisha, and Kali had gotten back to the Pride Lands. They looked behind them and realized Zira's followers had stopped chasing them. "Phew that was a close one," Kali panted, catching her breath.

"Yeah," Aisha panted as well, catching her breath. "They were so close to getting us."

"We shouldn't go anywhere near the Outlands again," Penda said.

"Agreed," Kali said. Then suddenly they realized Sarabi and Sarafina heading their way. "Oh no," Kali gasped.

"What sis?" Aisha asked, confused.

"Grandma Sarabi and Grandma Sarafina are heading our way," Kali said.

"Oh shit," Aisha muttered. "We are so in trouble now." Just then Sarabi and Sarafina approached the cubs.

"Hello there young ones," Sarabi said. "What are you guys up to?"

"Oh heh not much Grandma Sarabi," Kali said nervously hoping her grandmothers wouldn't ask too many questions.

"I thought you and Aisha were spending time with your brother," Sarafina said, looking at her granddaughters with suspicion.

"Well, we uh were," Kali stammered nervously. "But he changed his mind."

"Kali," Sarafina said with an eyebrow raised at his granddaughter. "What's going on?"

"I'd like to know too," a voice said. The group spun to see Kopa along with Nala enter the scene.

"Kopa I thought Aisha and Kali were with you," Sarafina said, looking at her grandson.

"They were," Kopa confirmed. "But because of me getting angry with Kibwe earlier today I needed to cool off. So I let them explore on their own."

"But were you guys really exploring?" Sarabi asked, looking at her step-granddaughters.

"We uh were exploring," Kali stammered nervously.

"Were you though?" Kopa said, narrowing his sea-green eyes at his sisters.

"We uh-uh did Kopa," Kali said, hoping her brother wouldn't ask too many questions.

"Kali," Kopa said slowly, his eyes still narrowed. "You and your sister have never been good liars. Now were you, Penda, and Aisha really exploring the Pride Lands?" Kopa raised an eyebrow when he said that last part.

Kali opened her mouth to lie but the looks on her grandmothers, mother, and brother's faces made it useless to lie to them. "Fine," she grumbled. "We didn't actually explore the Pride Lands today."

"Where were you guys exploring?" Nala asked, with a raised eyebrow.

"The uh," Kali began nervously. "The uh-uh-uh Outlands."

"Why were you guys at the Outlands?" Kopa asked his eyebrow still raised.

"Well Kopa," Aisha said. "I will tell you why we did." With that Aisha explained why they went to the Outlands but decided to leave out Zira and her lionesses trying to kill them. But they did tell them about Nuka.

"So you met this lion who is roughly a year old named Nuka?" Kopa asked, his eyes wide.

"Yeah," Kali said. "His name was Nuka."

"Did he say who his parents were?" Kopa asked.

"He didn't," Aisha said. "That was until we saw a lioness."

"Who's this lioness?" Kopa asked.

"This lioness had the same blood-red eyes as Nuka," Kali informed her brother. "She also had a tan coat and a piece of her right ear missing."

"Could this be Zira by any chance?" Kopa asked.

"Could be," Kali said with a shrug. "But anyway she commanded her lionesses to kill me, Penda and Aisha when she approached us."

"She did what?" Kopa asked, his voice rising with anger.

"She commanded her lionesses to kill us," Kali repeated. "But when we were back in the Pride Lands they stopped following us. I guess maybe they didn't want to get caught." Kopa's eyes went wide in shock when he took in the information. He then let out a growl and headed towards the direction of the Outlands.

"Kopa where are you going?" Nala asked.

"Going to the Outlands to confront Zira," Kopa declared.

"Kopa are you insane?!" Penda cried out. "Zira's lionesses might have you killed!"

"That doesn't stop me from confronting Zira though," Kopa declared. "I am going to the Outlands and that's final and no one will stop me! She is not getting away with this! She almost had you three killed!" With that Kopa started to walk to the direction of the Outlands.

"Kopa stop!" Nala cried out, running after her son.

"Now I don't think you three will be getting away with this either," Sarabi said sternly, looking at Aisha, Kali, and Penda.

"Aw man," the three cubs grumbled.

"It's your own doings," Sarafina said, picking Kali up while Sarabi picked up Penda and put her on her back then picked up Aisha. With that, they headed back to Pride Rock but knew it was going to be a long walk back.

A/N: Oh boy! Kopa is heading to the Outlands to confront Zira! Let's just hope Nala is able to stop him from making a terrible mistake though. She's already "lost" Chaka, and most certainly doesn't want to lose Kopa too.

Anyways, that's it for Chapter 22. See you guys later in Chapter 23!
