"Sam, no texting at the table!" Adam said for what seemed the millionth time that night.

"Sorry." She said, putting her phone away.

Just as she put it in her pocket it made a dinging noise. She reached for it, but her dad looked at her and reached his hand out.

"Give it to me." He said.

"Dad, I was just reaching for it to turn it on silent! I swear." She said.

"Give me your phone Samantha! You can have it back after dinner."

Sam looked at Rose who gave her a what am I supposed to do look, Sam angrily gave her dad her phone. It was only until after dinner after all.

"Who is Nigel?" He asked as her phone went off again.

"Just some boy I met today." Sam said, "and don't look at my messages."

"I didn't his name just keeps popping up. Like he can't live without talking to you for one minute." Her dad said. He turned her phone off.

"You met him today? So, he lives in New York?" Adam asked.

"Yes…he's going to my school. He's very nice." Sam said.

"I don't care how nice he is. I think you're too young to be dating anyone."

"Who said anything about dating? We've only had one date." Sam said.

"One date! Did you ask permission? Alison, Rose, did you know about this?" He asked.

"No, they didn't. It was a spur of the moment thing. Dad, I'm fifteen. I can go on a date. We're going out again Friday!" Sam said.

"No, you're not! You will not talk to this "Nigel" anymore."

"How come Rose is allowed to have a boyfriend, but I can't see Nigel?" Sam asked.

"Do you want to end up like your sister?" Adam asked.

"What?" Rose asked.

Alison put her hand on Adam's arm, trying to calm him down. "Dear, I think you are over-reacting. Can we talk about this privately?" she asked.

"I didn't even kiss him today. We're taking it slowly." Sam said.

"You could be lying to us." Her dad said.

"I'm not a liar!" Sam yelled.

"Neither was Rose until that boy came along!" Adam yelled.

"Aren't you thankful for everything Jake has done for us?" Rose asked.

"I am extremely grateful for that, but one act of kindness doesn't make him a good and trustworthy person! You are an idiot for not seeing that! Look at you! Pregnant, before you even start high school. I used to be so proud of you! I would brag about you to my co-workers, now you are the biggest disappointment a father could ask for!" Adam yelled.

Rose stood up from the table tears in her eyes and ran upstairs.

Sam glared at her dad, and if looks could kill he would have died right there on the spot.

"How could you. I just wanted to go on a date. You didn't have to spin your worries about me onto Rose!" Sam said and ran after her sister. She locked the door to their room, Sam pounded on the door.

"Rose! Let me in! Please…I didn't mean to cause an argument." Sam cried.

"Just go away. Go see your Nigel." Rose yelled so Sam could hear her.

Sam went back downstairs. "Give me my phone." She said.

"Excuse me?" Her dad asked.

"She won't let me in the Room. I'm calling Rose." Sam said.

Her father gave her the phone. "Only call Rose." He said.

"Whatever." She went back up the stairs, still disgusted by her father's words.

"How could you say those horrible things to her? Our daughter!" Alison yelled.

"I wasn't thinking. I'm worried about Sam…you know I didn't mean them." He said.

"She doesn't know! I don't care if you meant them or not! You still said them, and they were very hurtful and vicious words. Sam is smart enough to make her own decisions, they are two different people! You will treat them as such. You have not been supportive of this pregnancy at all. I understand, it's not ideal. I also understand, she's young. Is it the life I wanted for her? No, but it's what happening and it's her reality and she is already having a hard enough time. If you can't support this pregnancy than maybe, it's you who is the real disappointment." Alison said, and walked up the stairs to see if Sam was having any luck.

THE SHOP

All of the Dragons were there waiting. Jake was excited to see the young wizard his grandpa was talking about. The door opened and his eyes widened as the excitement left him.

"NIGEL? You called in Nigel?" Jake asked Lao Shi as he escorted him to the back room.

"Good evening." He said, greeting Jake and the other dragons.

"You're the all mighty wizard? You're just a kid." Jun said.

"Actually, I prefer sorcerer and isn't the American Dragon just a kid as well?" Nigel asked.

"He knows your human identity?" Jun asked.

"We go to school together. Besides you're only two years older than me!" Jake said.

"I suppose with your baby on the way there isn't much of a difference maturity wise, but my dragon form is much more impressive you have to admit." Jun said and released his wings which Jake had to admit were bigger than his, which meant Jun was faster.

Hercules intervened on their childish squabbling.

"Being a father has nothing to do with maturity. Jake still has the mentality of a fifteen year old."

"I hadn't the slightest idea you were going to be a father, Long. Does she go to our school?" Nigel asked.

"It's none of your business." Jake said.

"Have it your way. We still have to fight together." Nigel said.

"My grandpa says your magic is powerful against shadow demons." Jake said.

"I know a spell or two that should help. What's the plan so far?" Nigel asked.

Fu came over with Lao Shi to discuss the plan.

"A heard of Unicorns is set to appear in central park tonight, the burst of magic should draw their attention and-"

Jake's phone went off.

"Long, Silence that please." Nigel said.

"Sorry." He was about to ignore the call when he saw it was Rose. "Actually, I have to take this." He said.

"Really? We have a city to save." Fu said.

"Yeah it's Rose." He said.

"Fine, but whatever it is tell her to make it quick." Fu said.

"Rose?" Nigel asked.

"The baby mama." Jun teased.

"Don't call her that!" Jake said.

He answered the phone. "Jake. I'm sorry, I know you're busy…" Rose started.

Jake could tell she was crying. "I'm gonna take this in the other room." He said to the others.

They shrugged and continued to catch Nigel up.

"What's wrong?" Jake asked.

"I want you to come get me. I don't want to be home right now." Rose said.

"Baby, I can't come get you right now. I'm in the middle of something." Jake said.

"Jake, please! Sam won't leave me alone." Rose said.

"She's your twin. Talk to her. I can swing by in a few hours." Jake said.

"I don't want to talk to her. This is ALL HER FAULT!" Rose said.

She started crying again and Jake couldn't take it. He hated hearing her cry, and if she wanted to get away from Sam it must be important.

"Okay, I'll pick you up and drop you off at my house. Then I have to come back here for a while. I don't know when I'll be done. If you need to get away that badly though then this is all I can offer right now." Jake said.

"Thank you, Jake!" Rose said.

Jake walked back to the group of magical beings. "I have to go deal with something." He said.

"You can't just leave!" Hercules said.

"I'll be back in like thirty minutes. I just have to take care of something. I'm sorry." He said.

APARTMENT

Rose started packing an overnight back right when she got off the phone to him. Jake told her he'd be there in about ten minutes once she gave the address and to be ready. She would have to sneak out quickly if she didn't want to be seen by her parents and Sam. She finished packing and reluctantly decided to let Sam in, figuring it was the only way to get past her. She had been switching between banging on the door and calling her. She guessed her dad gave her, her phone back.

"Where are you going?" Sam asked immediately noticing her bag.

"Jake's. I'm going to spend the night there. He should be here in ten. I just need to get away, maybe let dad cool off for the night." Rose said.

"You're right about that, but this isn't my fault." Sam said.

"Yeah, like you weren't obsessing over Nigel. The reason dad's so afraid you'll get pregnant is because you are so boy crazy." Rose said.

"I'm not boy crazy!" Sam said defensively.

"Really? You're really the one dad should have been worried about. I had sex once. In MIDDLE SCHOOL you were blowing guys who couldn't even tell you and me apart." Rose said. Every hurt feeling finally coming out. She was tired of everything falling onto her shoulders, she pushed Sam out of the way.

"At least I knew how not to get pregnant!" Sam said. "Dad's right. You are an idiot. You had sex once. I don't know why he's mad at me, I'm not the one having two babies." Sam yelled.

Rose heard her phone go off, she answered it. "I know, I'm coming." She said.

"Here. The rooms all yours. Jake's here. If mom or dad asks, I'm with him."

"That will only make dad hate him more." Sam said.

"I don't care." Rose walked down the stairs not even caring if her parents saw her, she even slammed the door behind her.

Jake was in his dragon form, she got on him and he quickly flew her to his house. His parents were watching TV and Haley was in her room, but he just walked her past them up to his room.

"If you need anything my parents are right downstairs." He said, giving her a quick kiss and flying out the window.

AN FEW HOURS LATER- CENTRAL PARK

It was decided that Nigel was to use a spell to help mask the scent dragons naturally gave off to other magical beings, because like goblins, Shadow Demons have a keen sense of smell.

"For the love of hell, mask these Dragons smell" Nigel said, chuckling at his own spell.

"Really?" Jake asked.

"You asked for a spell. I'm just being creative." Nigel said.

"That's a good one, I'm adding it to the book." Fu said.

"I don't see anything. Where are they?" Hercules asked.

"Well, do you see any unicorns?" Nigel asked.

"No."

"Then we have to wait. Who knows how long that could be?" He sighed, leaning on a tree.

After an hour Fu asked Nigel if he knew any spells that could attract magical creatures. "I've never used any spells of the sort." Nigel said.

"Just make something up. You're a wizard-

"SORCEROR!" Nigel corrected.

"Whatever, you have some strong magical powers. Try making something up." Fu said.

"Fine…uh…They haven't been here in a year, make the unicorns appear?" Nigel said uncertainly.

"I guess it didn't work." He said.

Jake shrugged, "Guess we'll have to wait-"

"UNICORNS!" Nigel said. "It worked! I did it! I'm awesome! I-"

"You need to shut up if you don't want to scare them away!" Fu whispered.

Jake watched as a huge pack of flying Demons, all black like Shadows which is where Fu said they got the name Shadow Demons flew into Central Park. He remembered what Fu had said during training one day.

"They are deadly creatures with claws that are capable of tearing through your skin and breaking your spine, squeezing the blood out of you, devouring your body like there is no tomorrow, Kid."

Well, is there tomorrow? He thought.

There had to be. He was starting a family; his pregnant girlfriend was in his home.

With a newfound determination, Jake lead the others into battle.

He went straight for the leader. He was the biggest and the tallest. The unicorns had run soon after, without being harmed.

"Gramps and I will take care of the big guy. Nigel, give us some light!" Jake yelled.

"Are you sure you don't want a protection spell instead?" Nigel asked.

"Is there anyway you could use two spells at once?" Jake asked.

"One would be weaker! I can't protect you all!" Nigel said.

"Just protect who you can. We could really use some light over here!" Jake yelled as he narrowly dodged a punch but was quickly knocked to the ground by a smaller demon.

Nigel finally got the two spells going, protecting Lao Shi and the Greek Dragon since he was closest to them.

"Great! Keep it up!" Jake yelled, trying to pry the demon off of him. They were strong. He used fire to stun the demon and knocked it off of him. Going back to fight the leader with his grandpa.

Thankfully, Nigel was protecting his grandpa. He remembered how fire had stunned the demon and he knew a big fire blast from four dragons would have an effect on the demon.

"Guys! Get over here!" He yelled. Everyone stopped what they were doing when they heard Jake call for them. Nigel was able to protect all four of them now that they were in the same spot.

"I stunned the demon that was attacking me with my fire long enough to attack him. I think what this guy needs is a big ball of fire from all four of us dragons. If I'm right he should be too stunned to move, and we can attack him all at once. Once he's down the other demons should go running!" Jake said.

"Smart thinking, young dragon." Lao Shi said.

"On three?" Hercules asked.

"Count us down Nigel." Jun said.

"Will do. One…Two…Three!" Nigel yelled and all four dragons simultaneously gave their best breath of fire. Four huge balls of fire hit him all at once, knocking him unconscious. All of the dragons used that opportunity to destroy him, with a little sorcery magic. Sending him and the other demons back to the fiery pits of hell where they belonged.

All three dragons powered down and cheered. Jake gave Nigel a high five.

"Thanks dude, you really came through." He said.

"Thank you all, pleasure helping out. If you ever need a sorcerer again, you know who to call. Good night mates." Nigel said and vanished.

"I'm going to head home. I have a long flight back." Jun said.

"Do you need a place to crash?" Jake asked.

"No. I think you and your girl need some time together." He said.

"You can stay with me tonight. China is a long flight." Hercules said.

"Thank you. I appreciate it. We should head out though, I'm exhausted." Jun said.

"Me too. Goodnight Jake. It's always a pleasure." Hercules said, and him and Jun flew off.

"Gramps, Fu I'm gonna head home. Rose is actually waiting for me." Jake said.

"She's at your place?" Fu asked.

"Yeah…long story. I don't even know half of it." Jake said.

"We will see you tomorrow Jake, and you did very well. I am proud of your quick thinking in the midst of battle. Well done."

"Thanks Gramps." Jake said and took off towards his house.

He was nervous when he opened the front door, but all of the lights were off. He hadn't checked his phone, but he didn't have any messages for once. He walked up the stairs into his room and saw Rose. Asleep, hugging one of his pillows. She had changed into clothes she had brought. He smiled at the sight of her and went to shower. When he came back, she was awake. Looking at him in his towel.

"Have you been sleeping this whole time?" He asked, pulling a pair of boxers on.

"Your mom came to check on me and give me some water. Other than that, yes." She said.

"Do your parents know you're here?" He asked, laying down next to her.

She put the pillow down and wrapped her arms around him instead.

"Yes. They want to come talk to your parents in the morning. I'm sorry…I just had to get away. Everyone was fighting and we all said terrible things to each other…it's not good for the babies. I can't be under a lot of stress like that." Rose said.

She almost started crying again, but she felt Jake kiss her head.

"I hate hearing you cry; I definitely want to hear more about this but in the morning I'm exhausted."

"Thank you for coming to get me." Rose said.

"Goodnight beautiful." Jake said.

"Goodnight." Rose kissed Jakes chest before laying as close to him as she possibly could, practically on top of him.

Jake didn't mind. He liked feeling the warmth of his babies. He liked the closeness he felt to Rose. He was glad this Shadow Demon business was over. Now he could focus on her and the babies without having to constantly look over his shoulders.

He closed his eyes and fell asleep with the girl he loves in his arms.

A/N: If you've read this far, thanks. Also, I've decided on the girl's name. It starts with an A. Still debating on boy's names. I have time. I didn't plan for this story to be so long. Also, I don't know if anyone noticed (or cared lol) but I've been spelling Jake's dads name wrong. It's Jonathan, not Johnathan.
