Vader walked around the carbon-freezing machine, analyzing it. He watched as Lando's crew set it up, fixing the last minute details. This should do. He figured Luke wouldn't go with him willingly just yet, so he was going to put him in carbon-freeze before he brought him back to the Emperor and his ship.
"This facility is crude, but it should be adequate to freeze Skywalker for his journey to the emperor." Vader said outloud.
"Lord Vader, ship approaching X-wing class." The admiral said running up to him.
" him to land." Vader told the man before he bowed and walked away.
His plan was working out nicely. He knew Luke wouldn't be able to let his friend suffer. He didn't expect him to get here so soon, but he was glad he did. He was growing tired of waiting.
"Lord Vader, we only use this facility for carbon freezing. You put him in there, it might kill him." Lando said clearly trying to talk him out of it.
Hmm. He can't have Luke die. That would ruin his whole plan. " I do not want the emperor's prize damaged." He said thinking about what to do. " We will test it on Captain Solo. Bring them here. We need to do this before Skywalker arrives." He said.
He watched as Lando hesitated and before quickly leaving. What a weak man. He knew this scum would manage to be of use to him.
Then very soon after he asked for there presence, they were all brought before him. He could sense confusion and fear out of most of them. He mainly sensed hatred, which he thrived off of. He looked over at Padme and before quickly looking away. She wasn't going to stop me this time.
"What's going on buddy?" He heard Han angrily say to Lando. Good, he hasn't been told yet. This will be even more enjoyable.
"You're being put into carbon freeze." Lando quietly said not eve looking at any of them.
"No. You can't do that." Padme said looking at Vader with such sadness trying to get him to stop everything he was doing. He forced himself not to look into her sad eyes.
"What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me." Boba said to him snapping him back into the moment.
"The Empire will compensate you, if he dies." He said looking over at Han. He watched as him and the princess looking at each other with such fear and sadness. He also sensed love. Oh, they were in love. He thought, this will make this all the better. They will both learn, love isn't all that great. He glared over at Padme. He remembered telling Padme how hinding their love would destroy. Little did he know at the time how true that actually was."Put him in." He told his imperial troopers as they grabbed him from behind. He watched as both of them didn't take their eyes off of each other.
The wookie managed to attack some of his Imperial Trooper and throw them around. He wasn't going to let him destroy his plan. He went to grab his lightsaber ready to attack, when he heard Han say. "Stop Chewie. Stop!" He yelled trying to calm the beast down. "Hey. Hey listen to me, Chewie. This won't help me. Hey, save your strength. There will be another time." He sighed. "The princess, you have to take care of her." He said as Leia walked over to Chewie to calm him down.
He was wiser than he looked he thought.
"Do you hear me? Huh?" He asked with such defeat in his voice. He looked at the princess one more time and kissed her. Vader looked over at Padme and noticed she was holding back tears in her eyes. He was growing tired up this and indicted to his Imperial Troopers to break them apart. They grabbed him and set him up in the carbon freeze machine.
"I love you." Leia said to him.
"I know." Han said as he was lowered down. He looked and saw the Wookie and Padme holding Leia as he was lowered. He watched the crew member hit the button to active the machine as the hole Han was lowered into filled with smoke. They quickly raised him up and he smirked as where one stood Solo now stood a block of carbinite that Solo was encased in.
They lowered him down and Lando went to check to see if he was alive." Well Calrissian, did he survive?"
"Yes, he's alive." Lando said. "And in perfect hibernation."
Good it worked. Now he just had to bring Luke into here. "He's all your, bounty hunter. Reset the chamber for Skywalker." He looked over at Leia and laughed knowing he finally found a way to shut up her snarky comments.
"Skywalker has just landed, Lord." His Admiral walked over and said to him.
"Good, See to it that he finds his way in here." Vader said. "Calrissian, take the others to my ship." He told him changing the plans again.
'You said they'd be left in the city under my supervision!" Lando yelled at him.
"I am altering the deal." He said looking over at Padme. "Pray I don't alter it any further." He walking away from them.
"You are a coward! Luke will never join you and you know it! That is why you have to trap him, cause even you know it's true!" Padme yelled at him as she was dragged away.
He turned around and watched her struggle away. I'm sorry I couldn't make you feel any different. He thought before turning away from her.
Padme tried breaking away from the grips of the Imperial Troopers, but it was no use. She gave up and allowed them to take her away. She looked over at her daughter and saw such sadness on her face, that it broke her heart. If only you knew the pain, you continued to cause this family. She dreaded finding out what he had in store for the rest of them, after seeing what he did to Han. She grew sad thinking about her friend knowing there was nothing they could do to help him. She also feared for her son, they said he has arrived, hopefully he can sense a plot is happening and do something to escape.
She heard blasters and look over to see the bounty hunter was shooting at someone. She tried to get a better look, but the imperial troopers just pushed her forward. She looked over at her daughter and saw she was looking as well. She heard more shooting and the imperial troopers grabbed her arm trying to move quicker. She looked and finally got a look at who was being shot at and saw it was Luke. She tried to break free from their grip, but couldn't.
"Luke! Luke! It's a trap!." She screamed at him hoping he would leave. They would be fine. He didn't have to be the hero this time.
Leia and Chewbacca must have also noticed him for they begun to yell as well for him to leave.
"Luke! Leave! Vader is here!" She yelled before they shoved her through the doorway and shut it. She continued fighting them and hoping that her son got the hint and left. this place. She just hoped for once he wouldn't be a hero she knew he always tried to be. The hero is father used to be.
Soon after they got pushed through the door, they were stopped by guards. She noticed the weren't imperial troopers nor were they any guards Vader would have. The Imperial Troopers stopped as the guards pointed their guns at them. She noticed they outnumbered the Imperial Troopers. She looked over at Lando figuring they must be his guards. What is he doing? He must know it is too late to be the hero. He started to take the blasters from the imperial troopers. She looked over and saw Leia also had a confused look on her face.
"Well done. Hold them in the security tower and keep it quiet." Lando told the one guard as they took the Imperial Troopers away leaving just them.
He handed both her and Leia blasters and went over to Chewie to uncuff him.
"What do you think you're doing?" Leia asked him with rage and confusion in her voice.
"We're getting out of here." He said struggling with the cuffs.
"Do you think that after what you did to Han, we're going to trust you?" Padme asked him.
Before he had time to answer, he managed to get Chewbacca uncuffed and the first thing he did was wrap his hairy paws around Lando's throat. Usually she wasn't a fan of unnecessary violence, but this scum ball deserved it.
"I had no choice." He managed to say trying to breathe.
"We understand don't we? He had no choice." Leia said full of sarcasim.
"I'm just trying to help." He said as his voice got softer.
"We don't need any of your help." Padme said.
"Ha-. Ha-" He tried to say.
"What?" Leia asked.
"Han. There's still a chance to save Han." He managed to say as Chewie slowly eased his grip on his throat. "At the east platform."
"Chewie." Leia said with determination in her voice."
Chewbacca let go up him dropping him to the floor. They all followed Leia as she was practically running down the hallway. Padme looked back and saw that Lando was following them as well. She rolled her eyes. Why doesn't he just get the hint to leave us alone.
Vader opened his eyes, feeling his son's presence, he was close. The time had come he was going to meet his son face to face. He has thought of this moment, since he found out his son was alive. He heard the door open and shut and heard the footsteps of someone walking in. His son. He walked over to get a closer look as Luke walked around clearly not seeing him yet. He has not been trained to feel his surrounding with the force yet. I will make sure to teach him like I should have done years ago.
He noticed he looked like a younger version of himself, when he was that age. He had long blonde hair and blue eyes. The only thing was his eyes were not full of hatred and rage like his own. For now he thought. He could the force was strong in him, not as strong as it should be. With proper training he could one of the most powerful. Hopefully he would allow him to train him, so he could see the full power he is capable of.
"The force is with you, young Skywalker. But you are not a Jedi yet." He told his son as his son quickly turned around and noticed him standing up on the platform. Luke slowly started to walk closer to him. He couldn't feel any fear from, just anger, probably because of his friends. Good, use that anger my son.
He slowly ignited his lightsaber and he noticed it was blue. He looked at the lightsaber closer, before realizing it used to be the very lightsaber he used to use. Obi-Wan planned on you killing me with my very own lightsaber. He angrily thought back to his old master. He was interested to see, what the boy had been trained from Obi-Wan.
Vader ignited his red lightsaber and thought of the irony of this battle. Father and son with my former lightsaber and new lightsaber. He waited to see if he really would attack. Can he sense how strong our connect is? The boy clearly hasn't been fully trained, but surely he must feel it. The connect is one of the strongest he has ever felt, beside his connect with Padme. Luke quickly striked at him and Vader was ready. This was going to be intersting.
