Author's note:
As you can probably guess, this chapter took a while because of School and my job. The combination is a stressful pile of tedious mind numbing work. I honestly thought it wouldn't be that bad, then day one of online school I started getting a ton of HW and people quit at work so I got more hours.
But enough of that, we're finally at season 10! Another milestone achieved. Tried making this chapter as best as I could. I got really motivated to write this because "RWBY: Fairy Tales of Remnant" arrived. Instantly ignored schoolwork and read it all, now I'm ignoring schoolwork to write this. Enjoy!

Chapter 24- Revenants
In a dormitory hall, three huntresses in training walked with a purpose.
"I cannot believe you." An exasperated and cold voice growled.
"I know." A giddy and girlish voice replied, "It's so heavy." She said, as if there could be no better compliment.
"It's brutish and foul!" Weiss turned, her hair whipping Ruby in the face.
Nora didn't seem to hear Weiss's description, she was too busy admiring Magnhild. It was almost unrecognizable from it's look a mere month ago. Nora was currently carrying it in it's grenade launcher form, the way the Meta carried his Brute shot. The handle was now on top and a large curved blade rose from the bottom where the old handle used to be to the stock. This coupled with Ruby's older upgrade of two barrels instead of one caused Weiss to see Magnhild as an amalgamation of O'Malley's rocket launcher, Nora's old grenade launcher, and the Meta's fear inspiring knifle.
"Not to mention monstrous." Weiss added.
The nervous looks from passing students told Weiss that they agreed with her statement. However Weiss could not tell if their looks of fear were for the weapon in Nora's hands… or her manic grin as she met their eyes, daring them to be her test dummy.
Nora continuing to ignore Weiss pressed a button to shift Magnhild into hammer form. The gun morphed, a long pole collapsed downward as the blade shifted up to the back of the hammerhead. A purplish glow emanated from seams of the weapon, giving the whole hammer an almost alien look.
Weiss couldn't help but smile at the sight of the gravity dust. She quickly forced her smile into a scowl.
"How can it be monstrous? It's pink!" The silent third chimed in, Ruby rushed up next to Weiss. Nora grinned indulgently, "She's right."
Weiss sighed and shook her head, "Is everyone else ready?"
Ruby nodded, "Yep!" Popping the 'p' "They're just waiting on us."
Weiss nodded, glad for the change in subject "You two spent so long talking to Velvet I thought it prudent to find you."
"I just wanted to see my baby, I couldn't wait any longer. Gonna take some getting used to." Nora mumbled as she adjusted her grip.
"Velvet's a genius! I told her about my ideas for Jaune's sword and Pyrrha's shield, showed her some pictures and she agreed to make them!" Ruby burst with excitement. "It'll take a little bit because hardlight dust is a little complicated but she's worked on much harder designs apparently. It's going to be a huge surprise for whoever JNPR goes up against in the tournament."
"Fantastic." Weiss gritted her teeth, "I'm sure everyone will also be surprised with Coco's monstrosity."
"Is everything I make a monstrosity to you?" Ruby accused.
"Yes! And in the case of Coco's excessive mutant of a handbag it's even worse! Mini-rockets? A flamethrower!" Weiss shouted.
Ruby giggled, "And an E.M.P shot, I'm proud of that one. The three barrels form one and it-"
"I know." Weiss snapped, her hot anger cooling in an instant as she sighed. The sound of their footfalls echoed through the hall. Ruby and Nora shot each other bemused looks, Nora gave Ruby a shrug. The three rounded a corner and Nora swiped her scroll over her dorm's door.
"Hey how's it Yangin?" Yang greeted the three.
"And I thought my day couldn't get worse, silly me." Weiss shook her head, moving past the blonde to sit in her usual spot. Ruby and Nora followed, shutting the door behind them. All eight moved to sit in their respective spots, practiced as they were.
"Oh come on don't be like that, aren't you excited?" Yang raised her eyebrows.
"Of course we're excited." Weiss begrudgingly answered.
"What do you think is going to happen this season?" Asked Ruby.
"A lot." Blake deadpanned.
"I mean an example." Ruby sagged.
"Carolina will kill the director." Yang shrugged. "She said she would and I can't see anything stopping her."
Pyrrha nodded, "She was determined, and she's not destined to fail like Tex. She was only second to Tex and well… she's gone now."
Yang blew out a sigh, "Yeah, but eh.. Carolina's a badass too."
"What about Church?" Ruby asked, touching her finger tips together.
"I don't think he'll do his usual complaining." Jaune commented. "After everything that happened in the memory unit, he's not just going to be annoyed with them for taking him out. He was desperate to go back in."
"You're right but other than that I can't see what direction he will go. His character development revolved around Tex and without her I don't know what his goal will be." Blake explained.
"He could pick up Carolina's goal." Ren pointed out.
Blake nodded, "He can, after the memory unit I'm sure he'll regain even more memories."
Ruby grimaced, "He'll remember more about getting tortured."
"Probably." Blake agreed.
"What about the freelancers? What are they going to do." Jaune asked.
"I think we've only just begun to see the shadiness of project freelancer." Weiss hummed. "The director told Carolina he would ask her to do a great many things."
"There's growing dissent among the freelancers too, North and York are already questioning what they're doing. South is only thinking about the leaderboard. C.T. Is a leak, Tex is… Tex, And Carolina is only thinking about beating her." Blake added.
"And the A.I. are being made. Omega, Gamma, and Epsilon are on their way. And likely others we haven't seen yet." Ren finished.
The group grinned at each other, excited to start. Jaune didn't waste any more time.
"Revenants" appeared on the screen with the theme.
"Revenants, probably meaning Carolina and Church." Ren commented.
"Everyone comes back from the dead, I'm expecting the Meta to come back eventually." Weiss added.
"I wouldn't be disappointed if he did, but he better come back pissed." Nora emphasized.
"Could he come back any other way?" Ruby asked.
"Likely not, but a redemption arc would be interesting." Ren hummed.
Blake nodded, "Maybe we'll see more of his personality before he became the Meta. We'll see what he could be again."
Camera slowly pans out from a computer showing a UNSN (United Nations Sports Network) broadcast of a Grifball game. The announcer in front.
Stu Stuman: "And now the moment you've all been waiting for-"
"He's got that right." Nora commented.
Stu Stuman: "-the far distant system of Sanghelios...I hope I'm pronouncing that correctly, the bad boys of Grifball-"
"That's Junior, the one announcing." Yang pointed out.
"He's shown up a few times now." Ren hummed.
Yang shrugged, "Just as a background character, but it's still weird hearing him. It's so out of place, why junior of all people?"
"Why your dad of all people." Weiss countered.
"Because he is significant to me and Ruby." Yang explained. "Like professor Ozpin, Ms Goodwitch, and others. There's a reason for it all but eh, I'm just going to go with it."
Weiss huffed, not being able to counter her again.
To the right, another screen shows the "Epic Sax guy" another screen shows the "Halo 3 ODST loading screen."
Ruby snickered, tapping Nora on the shoulder she pointed at the sax guy. The two laughed.
Stu Stuman: "Team Heretic!"
The screen shows a team of aliens running out of a room to the field.
"Hold on… Grifball?" Jaune frowned.
"I know I've heard that before." Blake looked at Jaune.
Nora gasped, "Ha! I remember this, Sarge said it in like season four when he was shooting at Grif."
Jaune laughed, "Oh yeah I remember that. So it's an actual game? It's cool that the aliens are playing it."
"I thought Grifball was some game that involved kicking Grif." Nora pouted.
"Apparently not, but the announcer revealed something interesting. The aliens are from a system called Sanghelios." Ren explained.
Camera focuses on Insurrectionist lying back in his chair yawning.
"FREELANCER CASE FILE 02.417
MANY YEARS AGO…" appeared on the screen.
"So they're starting off with the freelancer story, that probably means that this storyline will get the main focus. Instead of the reds and blues hunting the director." Blake commented.
"Didn't it get the main focus last season too?" Ruby asked.
"I'd say it was about half the focus." Jaune shrugged.
"Either way, it's very important how they start off seasons now. It's been a few seasons since the show was just gags and comedy skits." Blake explained.
Stu Stuman: "And your home planet favorites; Slipspace!(Starts breaking up)"
The monitor begins to go haywire and show different clips of videos. First Burnie on the left side, then a grey tabby kitten, then Kara knocking ice cream out of some poor kids hands in "Kara's exciting day" RTAA.
Ruby sat up, "Did anyone see that!?"
"It was quick. I think I saw a cat." Jaune squinted.
"A cat? Aww I thought I saw something cute." Weiss smiled.
Yang snorted but said nothing, avoiding Blake's piercing glare. Blake chuckled, shaking her head.
"It was quick, I saw an old man on the left side of the screen." Blake pointed. "Not animated, it looked like a picture."
"I saw the cat and a cartoon." Pyrrha added.
"The cartoon appeared to be a woman knocking ice cream out of a child's hand." Ren deadpanned.
Yang laughed, "Oh is that Weiss?"
"That was an accident. I keep telling you that." Weiss pinched the bridge of her nose.
"I will never forgive you!" Ruby shouted.
Delta appears and startles the Insurrectionist, waking him up.
Delta: "I hate to intrude, but you have not performed any work in the past 13 minutes and 42 seconds. That strikes me as rather inefficient."
"The director wouldn't like that." Weiss commented.
"I wonder if Delta is being used to help with logistics, it could mean the Alpha is becoming too damaged to function." Ren explained.
Ruby shook her head, "It's so cruel, just evil. Splitting him, like Washington said. Reverse engineering a split personality disorder."
"I wonder how many A.I. have been made so far." Blake grimaced. "There could have been a time skip."
Space Station Guard: "Oh uh, sorry I was just trying to uh, yeah, how how do you get a new window? You know, like the, you know, like a new window, what's the button thing for that, you know?"
"Alt tab." Blake commented. I spent too much time in the library researching news reports.
Delta: "I believe the keys you are looking for are Alt, Tab."
Space Station Guard: "Oh yeah, thanks little guy. Wait, who are you? You don't look like the normal holo-projection."
Delta: "That is because I am the A.I. designated as Delta, from Project Freelancer."
"Is the guard not from the project?" Jaune raised an eyebrow.
"Probably a UNSC guard then." Blake commented. "The guard didn't look like the other Freelancer guards anyway."
Space Station Guard: "Wait, you're from Project, Freelancer? Wait, aren't those the bad guys?"
"That's very telling." Ren mumbled.
Blake nodded, "And coming from a low grade soldier."
"This guy can't be from the UNSC, they don't accuse Project Freelancer of being bad until much later." Jaune added.
Delta: "There is no need for name calling. I submit that Project Freelancer is neither good nor bad, much like your own forces. We are merely two groups dedicated to obtaining different results."
Ren hummed, intrigued.
Space Station Guard: "Whoa man that's, that's deep... Its like-it's like there's different universes but you know there's-"
Weiss groaned, the others chuckled.
York grabs the Space Station Guard by the shoulder
York: "Don't encourage him, he's already long-winded as it is."
Weiss smirked "I agree, this other universe nonsense is long winded enough-"
Ruby gasped, "The graphics look so much better!"
"I know I didn't notice until he came on screen, their armor actually fits their bodies now." Jaune added.
"There's a lot more detail too." Blake nodded.
York slams the Space Station Guard's head on the desk and he flips onto the ground
York: "Thank God. I thought you two would never stop chit-chatting."
Yang laughed, "I like York, he's funny."
York begins typing on the computer
Delta: "I'm not sure that was entirely necessary. He seemed open to the logic I presented him. Perhaps he would have allowed us to carry out our mission."
"He would be a lousy guard to do so." Weiss rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, and what he said was weird." Ruby made a face, "The Grimm are technically a different group that wants a different result. But they're still evil, they're literally the embodiment of evil!"
"I think what Delta said only applies to conflict between people." Ren explained.
"Torchwick is bad." Ruby crossed her arms.
"Faulty logic either way." Weiss added.
Blake grimaced, her thoughts were drawn to the White Fang as per usual. She still didn't know exactly how she felt and couldn't decide if she agreed with Delta or not.
York: "(sarcastically) Sorry I knocked out your new friend. Now you two will never get to have a beer together."
Delta: "I believe that would have been unlikely, regardless."
"Those two have good chemistry." Pyrrha smiled.
"Again I have to compliment the characters in this show, they all play off each other well." Blake commented.
"And the A.I. are supposed to be like partners in the field." Jaune added. "So it makes sense."
"I wonder if Omega made Tex even more of a badass." Yang grimaced.
"No… he probably made her more brutal." Pyrrha explained. "Tex is fine on her own."
York successfully activates a holographic lock
York: "Show time."
Director (over radio): "Come in Agent York, are you in?"
York begins to access the holographic lock
York "(over radio): Yes, sir. These guys love their holographic locks. I'll let Delta take a peek in their system while I try to disable it manually. (gets off radio) You're up D."
"If the Director is taking a more personal role in the mission it has to be important." Blake commented.
Delta: "Curious."
York: "What's curious? That's code for bad, isn't it?"
Delta: "I have detected an anomaly inside of the system, something that is not supposed to be there. Diverting sub-routines to investigate."
York: "Don't get too curious in there, I need your attention on this lock."
Delta: "Do not worry Agent York, I have already rectified several instances where you would have tripped the alarm system."
Blake chuckled, "He has a problem with doing that."
"I think it's the holographic locks, he's only ever done it once on screen without tripping an alarm." Jaune pointed out.
Pyrrha nodded, "In Out of Mind."
The Space Station Guard begins to get back up, dazed and confused
Space Station Guard: "Oh... Ow, my head... What-wait hold on. Why-give me back my leprechaun!..."
Yang, Nora, and Ruby burst into laughs.
"I don't even know what a leprechaun is!" Ruby giggled.
"Whatever it is, he thinks Delta is one." Ren chuckled.
York kicks a chair into the Space Station Guard's stomach, knocking him down again
Director (over radio): "What was that, Delta?"
York (over radio): "Nothing sir!"
York continues on the lock
Director (over radio): "Agent, may I remind you that we are running short on time?"
"Is he trying to get into another vault? What are they stealing this time?" Weiss asked.
"I hope it's something cool." Ruby grinned.
"Oh I hope they're opening with another badass action scene!" Yang laughed. "I want to see them top that chase scene."
"That's a lot to ask." Jaune pointed out.
"Oh I know, I have high expectations but honestly I don't think they're unrealistic." Yang explained.
Delta: "Warning, an alarm has been remotely triggered."
York: "What, by who?"
Director (over radio): "They knew we were coming. Agent York, abort intrusion immediately. We are moving to more direct measures."
"They knew they were coming…" Blake frowned. C.T is a leak, she could have let them know.
York (over radio): "Wait, wait, wait, I can do this, I can do this, just give me a moment sir."
F.I.L.S.S.: "System online, Director; awaiting your command."
Delta: "I agree with the Director. I have yet to see you successfully open a lock in the field, and this alarm will only hamper your progress."
York: "Okay, now don't you start now in on me, too! ...You've been talking to Wash again, haven't you?"
Yang laughed, "Wash is a bad influence on Delta."
"Wash is naive now, I don't know how he could be a bad influence on anyone." Blake chuckled.
Director (over radio): "Agent York, we are out of time, I repeat; abort."
F.I.L.S.S.: "Target locked."
The familiar target locked noises sound.
"Is that what I think it is?" Ruby asked.
"It is! It's the giant beam of death!" Nora laughed.
York (over radio): "Um... what target is locked? What's the target? (gets off radio) Delta, what are they doing?"
Delta: "Taking more direct measures."
York: "You knew about this?"
Delta: "...Possibly."
"Delta sounds amused." Ren chuckled.
"Not sorry at all." Nora added.
York sees a hole being burned in the side of the ship.
York: "Why you green little cockbite."
"Terminate" by Jeff williams starts playing.
"Yo! Yo! Yo YO!"
Delta disappears and an explosion occurs, sending York flying across the room.
"He has a habit of firing his cannon at his agents." Weiss shook her head.
"Our headmaster has a habit of launching first years off into a grimm infested forest… same thing really." Yang shrugged.
"The director and Professor Ozpin are nothing alike." Ruby murmured.
York: "Whoa!"
The camera reveals a hole to the vacuum of space, air is rushing out of the room.
"They're in space!" Weiss gasped.
"So cool!" Ruby gaped.
"Machine gun massacre!
Ratatat clappin ya!
The world's gone to shit!
Don't know who it is attackin' ya!"
York flips over and is being pulled by the vacuum of space while the ship alarm is sounding. He grabs onto a table
Yang whooped, "Oh the gold alien does not disappoint!"
Weiss nodded, "I have to admit, this is better rap than last time. His vocals work well with the song, they don't sound out of place."
"Stop reading into the music and just listen." Yang grinned.
Weiss rolled her eyes, if only more people listened- truly listened to my music. But I won't ever have to song again, I'll become a huntress and father can't control me anymore.
York is sucked towards the hole.
York: "Whoa!"
York is hit by the chair along with the Space Station Guard.
York: "Holy shit!"
Nora burst out laughing, "This is awesome!"
"Cavin' in fast like its time, it's collapsin' on us"
York is sent flailing into space, a jet pack floats next to him.
"Better grab the gats
Or it's curtains for the masses
I Need everybody all in
You hear me dog, fall in
Lock cop, ready to rock, with no stallin!"
Yang began headbanging, those around her moved away like always. "He's going for it! Listen to him!"
"We are, he's pretty good." Jaune nodded.
"redvsblue"
"SEASON 10"
"Yeaaahhh!" Pyrrha laughed and clapped as Yang, Ruby, Nora, and Jaune hooted and whooped. Light clapping from Weiss, Ren, and Blake, but their light clapping soon faded as they rose their voices in excitement. Weiss blushed as she let out a timid "whoo!" Blake left all pretense and simply joined in the cheering. Ren raised his fists slightly, still below his neck and gave Nora a half-hearted "yay."
"I see anybody playin' games, fallin' back
I'll put the first bullet in you myself, believe that!"
Cut to Epsilon, Sarge, and Caboose talking to Carolina.
"Amazing opening!" Yang sat back, breathing a tiny bit heavier.
"It was interesting how the letters acted as if they were objects sucked from the room, forming the title." Pyrrha commented.
"Topped season eights opening." Jaune nodded.
Blake shook her head, "I'll take a foreboding opening over an action packed one."
"Oh that was foreboding, it was telling us that this season is going to be awesome!" Ruby shouted.
"Yeah!" Nora and Yang agreed.
Blake chuckled, "That's a good point Ruby."
UNSC ARCHIVES; PRESENT DAY...
Church: "Agent Carolina?! What are you doing here!?"
Church in ghost form is standing next to Sarge and Caboose with Carolina looking at him.
"Ohh wow, it's weird seeing Carolina in the game." Ruby's eyes roved over Carolina's armor.
Carolina: "I need your help. I'm tracking the Director of Project Freelancer and you're my best bet for figuring out what hole he's hiding in."
"Makes sense, he'll have a lot of memories from when he was the Alpha." Jaune commented.
"It's interesting how Carolina now has the same goal as Tex." Blake added.
Yang's eyes widened, "You're right I didn't think of that. I wonder if Carolina still hates Tex or if they made up."
Blake gave Yang a look.
Yang nodded, "Yeaaahh they didn't."
Blake chuckled, "They probably got worse."
"You're forgetting that Tex wanted to recruit Carolina along with York." Ren reminded. "During Out of Mind."
"No, Church only asked if Carolina was with York. Tex only went to get York." Yang explained.
Sarge: "Hole, eh? You know, our buddy Donut was always talking about his holes!"
Church: "Sarge…"
Sarge: "Constantly trying to get people to look at them and what not."
Yang laughed, "An innuendo and a pun, nice."
"Not nice." Ruby grimaced.
Church: "Come on Sarge, he's dead now. He was shot, remember?"
"No he's not." Nora sang, "His armor got unlocked and he's perfectly fine."
Sarge: "Oh right. ...Probably has a few more holes in him, huh? Heh heh heh ...What, too soon?"
Yang snorted.
"That joke is completely inappropriate." Pyrrha scowled.
"Well we know Donut's alive so it's fine." Yang explained.
"He doesn't know." Pyrrha pointed at Sarge.
"Yeah… well if he made a dead joke about Grif no one would have batted an eye." Yang countered.
Pyrrha chuckled, "That's expected of Sarge."
Church: "What's the appropriate amount of time to go by for that joke to be okay?"
"No amount of time." Pyrrha commented.
Sarge: "Ah whatever, you big blue baby."
Nora giggled and grinned.
Church: "Shut up Sarge. What are you doing alive Carolina? You're supposed to be dead. This is impossible."
The group laughed and rolled their eyes.
Sarge: "That's a funny thing to say, for a guy who's literally a ghost."
"Yeah Sarge knows what's up." Nora grinned.
"For someone who comes back from the dead a lot, Church has a hard time accepting when someone else does it." Blake added.
Caboose: "Yeah, uh, actually he's not a ghost... Um, he's a computer program. He gets holographically projected on our armor when he wants to talk to us."
Sarge: "Seismographic computer programs? Heh heh. Caboose, you say the craziest things sometimes. What an imagination on you."
Pyrrha chuckled, "Caboose has an overactive imagination."
"And Simmons has no imagination at all." Ren chuckled.
Caboose: "Yeah, I don't know what that first word means, but it sounds the same ...I will allow it."
An explosion goes off and Wash backs up into the room firing in the opposite direction
Washington: "Hey, how we doing in here?"
Blake's eyes widened, "His armor.. I forgot it changed. In a way it symbolized his change in character but I liked his old look more."
"Yeah me too." Yang nodded. "At least he's got the yellow, but it clashes with the blue."
"Have you been talking to Coco?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah a little." Yang shrugged.
"I like the blue." Jaune admitted.
Church: "Wash?"
Washington: "You got Epsilon out, good. We can't hold them off much longer. They're not too happy about us breaking in."
Carolina: "Let me see what I can do to help that."
Carolina runs out of the room and fires her battle rifle.
Washington: "Heh, same old Carolina. I guess coming back from the dead doesn't change anybody."
"It changes them plenty, if you think about it. Church isn't really Epsilon now anymore." Blake commented.
"Yeah, he was the Alpha in the unit. And he did something none of his other versions could. So he's not just a memory repeating himself." Ruby added.
Church: "Washington, why are you wearing blue armor? Why are you wearing my armor?"
Ruby and Blake laughed.
Washington: "Oh... Um…"
Caboose: "Oh... Yeah, yeah."
Washington: "They sort of used me to... replace you? On Blue Team."
Blake laughed, "It's more of an upgrade."
Yang sniggered at her joke, "Good one."
"Aww that's mean." Ruby added half-heartedly.
Church: "Replace me?"
Caboose: "I wouldn't really use the word replace... But there's no word for 'Take over for you and make everything better almost immediately,' so we just say replace."
"Caboose has a new best friend." Pyrrha chuckled.
"Wash sure needs one." Blake nodded.
Church: "When did this happen?"
Yang cackled, "Oh- it happened right after he left I forgot!"
Caboose: "Oh, do you remember when you went into the memory unit and then everyone was sad?"
Church: "Yeah!?"
Caboose: "It was right after that."
Church: "Right after I left?!"
Caboose: "Well, it wasn't right after, you know, but you know it was like 5 or 10 seconds."
"Yeah, not that bad." Jaune remarked.
Church: "You've got to be kidding me."
Caboose: "Life is short Epsilon; we had to move on."
"What a warm welcome back." Yang snickered.
"Church is certainly having a day." Weiss added.
Church: "I think I just got dumped by Caboose. This is unfucking believable!"
"It is unbelievable, but good for Caboose. He was able to move on like Church did." Pyrrha smiled.
"Church's situation was much worse." Ruby pointed out.
"I like how Church sees it as Caboose dumping him." Yang laughed.
Caboose: "Yeah, it's-it's not me; it's you."
Yang, Blake, Weiss, and Pyrrha burst out laughing.
"Caboose killed him again." Yang wiped a tear from her eye.
"Caboose never fails to surprise me." Pyrrha laughed.
"Harsh, very harsh." Blake added. I should have said that to Adam.
Washington: "Epsilon, they just needed to even the teams, it's really not-"
Church: "Hey! Would you guys stop calling me 'Epsilon'?! I'm Church now."
Ruby nodded in agreement.
Caboose: "Oh... um, we sort of call the new guy Church. You know, sometimes."
Ruby began to snicker, she tried and failed to hold it in. Yang was right there with her.
Church: "(quietly) What?"
Washington: "Caboose just finds it easier. The armor color confuses him... As do a lot of things."
Pyrrha laughed, "I- nevermind he didn't move on. It was as they said, a replacement."
"Washington is golden here." Blake giggled uncharacteristically. "Before he would have stated things as they were, he wouldn't feel embarrassed. He's going back to the way he was, he's let his guard down."
Church: "Let me get this straight Agent Washington; you took my name, too?"
Washington: "It's only in certain circumstances."
Caboose: "Like when we talk to him... Or need to fill out paper work... Or sing happy birthday to him."
Church: "YOU'VE GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!"
The room erupted in laughter yet again.
"They sang happy birthday to Washington? I would love to see that scene." Blake commented.
"I love that Church got mad when he told him they did, he's angry that they sang happy birthday to Wash and not him." Ruby giggled.
"I just wonder how Carolina is dealing with them all." Pyrrha chuckled.
Sarge: "Well... this is awkward. You know, I think the quickest solution would be a good old fashioned thinning of the ranks with my trusty shotgun. Any takers?"
Washington: "Er- We're fine."
"Yeah the last thing Church needs is another ghost." Ruby giggled.
"If Washington turns out to be an A.I. I'll be disappointed." Blake admitted.
Sarge: "Well, it was worth a shot. You win this round blue... (quietly and gruffly) but I'll be back... (turns to face Epsilon) Actually, this guy's been kicking our ass! I'm kind of glad to have you back. Sure would be nice to have an idiot in charge of Blue Team again."
Church: "(sarcastically) Thanks... It's great to be needed…"
"Church's welcome back has been great. He got dumped by Caboose, his position as leader got stolen, he himself got replaced." Blake listed off.
An explosion occurs and Carolina enters the room
Carolina: "Everyone, front and center now!"
Another explosion occurs
The scene cuts to black.
"Well that was a great first episode." Jaune looked around.
Blake nodded, "The freelancer storyline will be just as serious as last season. The seeds were laid in well."
"It will also be just as action packed, maybe even more." Yang added.
"And the regular storyline will be just as funny as ever." Nora grinned. "Everything's perfect for everyone!"
Sorry for the shortish chapter, that has nothing to do with my time constraints. There wasn't much of an invitation for long conversations.
IMPORTANT QUESTION: Would you rather I wrote season 14 episodes spread throughout season 10 and the chorus trilogy or season 14 as it's own separate fic? I would like to end this series on season 13's finale.
It would fit much better, and I can put the episodes in places where they would fit and not spoil anything of season 13. Even Caboose's guide to making friends. Also you would not be forced to wait, Ex: I would post season 11 ep 1 along with season 14 eps 2-4. 4 chapters in one day.
POLL: I will put up a poll for you to vote but also PM or review with your answer.
Old Poll results
29% either story
28% RWBY fic
21% ATLA fic
20% You don't care, you only care about the react stories. :)
So yeah, next fic after the reacts will be a RWBY fic. That poll is closed. After this current poll closes I'll probably put up a poll of my RWBY ideas and people can vote on which one I should write.
