Hey sorry for the delay of chapters, this was supposed to come out yesterday with not as much in it but I decided to make it longer. For you Sandfur fans I'm sorry she isn't really in the story. I kinda grew to dislike her and to have more of Stonepelt so I'll try and give her some more time in the next few chapters.
Anyways, enjoy and remember reviews are superduper appreciated like so much my mind can't even understand how much I love to see them :3

Nightstorm took a step back. Why kill Stonepelt? But he knew that Addertail might be right, Mintbreeze too. Stonepelt must be an imposter, it was the only explanation. But at the same time, Nightstorm doubted it. Maybe Addertail got it wrong? "Nightstorm had a vision of him killing Stonepelt… twice…" said Addertail to the crowd.

"Are you sure you can trust Nightstorm," asked Firepelt from the crowd, "he was always very... imaginative."

Addertail sighed. "Does any other cat here have visions? He is our way out,"

A few cats in the crowd murmured in agreement. "Find Stonepelt before he escapes," echoed Addertail.

The cats instantly got up and searched the camp, completely covering it in a short while. The warriors returned to where Addertail was still standing with no Stonepelt. "We can't find him, he must have left with Yellowstar," explained Graycloud.

Addertail turned his attention to Streamheart, who was looking anxious. "Keep Streamheart in camp, she can be bait for Stonepelt," he ordered.

A few cats in the crowd didn't like this idea, including Nightstorm. "That's unhonorable!" yowled one.

Nightstorm agreed this seemed to be going too far. "We aren't going to hurt her, we will just make the Clans think we are," said Addertail, "Desperate times call for desperate needs."

The group of warriors who were guarding Addertail looked up at him in confusion. "Addertail, don't we have cats in IceClan? I mean, that's where he probably went."

"Not at the moment," meowed Addertail to the warriors, "We only have some in LightClan and CaveClan."

Nightstorm was surprised Addertail had been planning this for so long. Clearly, he was very intelligent. "The gathering is tomorrow, so we will try to convince IceClan to give him up. If he went to CaveClan or LightClan, he's already dead.

Nightstorm didn't like the thought of that. There must be a way I can convince Addertail Stonepelt isn't an imposter…

Addertail left the meeting area and padded into the medicine cat's den, the leader's den now empty. Nightstorm followed him in, ready to try to convince Addertail he might be doing something wrong. "Isn't this breaking the code?" questioned Nightstorm.

Addertail nodded. "It is, and I regret that we have to do this, but these are desperate times."

Nightstorm agreed on that. "I don't think Stonepelt is an imposter, my visions were always unclear."

Addertail sighed regretfully. "I'm truly sorry, Nightstorm, but we must do what is right for the Clans, for StarClan. The signs have clearly shown Stonepelt to be an imposter..."

Nightstorm still wasn't sure about Stonepelt…

"Isn't this just great! I mean, you're finally changing this awful Clan," squeaked Mintbreeze.

Nightstorm liked her enthusiasm for the changes. "Yeah, I'm happy that fox-heart Yellowstar is finally gone, but I still think this might've gone too far. Stonepelt isn't an imposter."

Mintbreeze shrugged. "I'm just happy I'm in a Clan that doesn't hold your past against you all the time, and one that actually cares about StarClan."

"You never cared about StarClan before, why now?" asked Nightstorm.

"I guess I never realized how bad things were without them," she replied.

Nightstorm trekked through the leaves on the ground, every now and then one cracked under his paw. It was a cool night, the silverpelt shining brightly over the forest. He was with the rest of FireClan as they made their way to the gathering. They were the last ones to arrive, the other four Clans obviously waiting for them. Nightstorm spotted Yellowstar next to Froststar, IceClan's leader. Both were eying the FireClan cats suspiciously.

The other clans murmured, confused as to why Yellowstar was not with FireClan. Their confusion worsened when Addertail climbed up onto the rock with Nightstorm behind him. They both sat down, ready to start the gathering. "What is the meaning of this?" questioned Froststar.

Addertail opened his jaw to speak "FireClan has an announcement to make, we have banished Yellowstar."

The gathering of warriors gasped in shock. "All of you believe the Clans are good, that they are the only way of life. They only want to control you." said Addertail.

Nightstorm smirked. He was enjoying Addertail finally pointing out the flaws with the Clans. Addertail continued his speech."You may believe there is nothing outside of our territories… I have been there myself, there is more forest than you could ever imagine, full of prey."

Doubtful murmurs went through the gathering. "Why should we believe you," questioned Blazestar of CaveClan, "you're the one who banished your own leader and took over, even though you weren't a deputy."

Murmurs of agreement rang across the clearing. Addertail continued once the crowd was silent. "Yellowstar was lying to her own Clanmates and abandoned them in their time of need. She didn't deserve to be a leader."

"What about Snakefang? He was deputy, why not make him a leader?" asked Silverstar of LightClan.

"He left with Yellowstar," answered Nightstorm, who was silenced by Addertail.

"As well as Stonepelt," continued Addertail, "This brings me to my next point. Why do you think StarClan has been so silent? Is it not their time at the moment? I think they are weak from a different threat, other ghosts."

Yellowstar's fury showed, her eyes glinting with hatred. "That is completely ridiculous! StarClan is what holds us together!"
"Don't act like you haven't heard of it before…" echoed Addertail, "The others had something similar happen, and I believe the same is happening here. Imposters have placed themselves in our Clans, ready to take over. We must rid them from here, and send them back to where they came from before they wreak havoc."

A few cats seemed convinced by this. Nightstorm knew the Clans were uneasy about why StarClan was always silent. The FireClan cats yowled their agreement as well as a group of LightClan and CaveClan cats, the ones Addertail must've mentioned that were with him.

Blazestar kept himself firm, looking confident and powerful. "I will not stand for this nonsense. StarClan has never spoken to us, perhaps they don't even exist. Where do you get these "imposters" from, Addertail?"

Addertail nodded, acknowledging Blazestar's question was reasonable. "I understand this may be hard to face, as it was with me when I first came to realize it. And as for your question, Nightstorm is our answer. Ever since he was a kit he has had visions of things no other cat could ever see. StarClan must be speaking through him, there's no other answer."

Blazestar seemed to accept this for a moment but continued holding his ground. "Nightstorm has always been… interesting, and you know that. You can't take anything he says seriously, StarClan or not."

Nightstorm saw a flash of frustration in Addertail's eyes. Cleary, the leaders were better at debating this then the red tom had expected.

Silverstar took a step forward to speak. "Furthermore, this is madness and it cannot stand. The total lack of warrior code in FireClan is concerning, and Addertail is clearly not fit to be leader, even more so Nightstorm."

"Fine, don't believe me," hissed Addertail, "I'll go ahead and tell you who our current imposter is, Stonepelt, yes the one that fled. He was working for Yellowstar, the traitor, and is clearly part of her scheme to take over our Clans. I suggest you hand him over to us before we take him ourselves."

Yellowstar hissed back at him. Addertail gave a smug expression and continued. "Streamheart might not be too fond of Stonepelt's absence," he responded, Yellowstar instantly understanding what he meant.
Froststar's fur bristled, as did Yellowstar. Froststar opened her jaw to speak. "You have no respect for the code we live by, the code we have always known. You would rather hold an innocent cat hostage rather than admit defeat. Expect us to fight back and end this, once and for all."

Addertail bristled his fur. Nighstorm knew the medicine cat was irritated by the leaders not siding with him. "The code you live by? It's only a shadow of what it once was, you changed it to benefit yourselves. Expect us to fight back as well, and remember, Streamheart might not have a good time with Stonepelt gone."

Yellowstar hissed again, and Addertail turned around to stalk off with the rest of the Clan who was proudly following behind him. Nightstorm sighed, then turned and jumped off the rock to join the rest of FireClan. While he was catching up he noticed some rustling in the bushes next to him. He unsheathed his claws, ready for an enemy to jump out and attack him. Instead, Stonepelt's head popped out of the bush. "Come with me behind the bush, we need to talk," said Stonepelt eagerly.

Nightstorm instantly felt relieved that it was only Stonepelt, lying his fur back down. He walked around the bush where Stonepelt was sitting. "What are you doing here? You know FireClan is after your pelt, right?" asked Nightstorm.

"Yes, which is why I'm wondering…" said Stonepelt, "Why are you part of this? Surely you don't think I'm an 'imposter'."

"Of course i don't think that…" replied Nightstorm, "I've been trying to convince Addertail otherwise, but nothing seems to work!"
"Exactly, which is why we want you to spy on them for us."

Nightstorm didn't like the idea… What if Addertail found out?

"I don't know… Yellowstar isn't exactly a cat I like right now, and Addertail has some good points."

"Addertail is trying to lead you to chaos, he's crazy. Sure Yellowstar lied to you, but it was to stop him."

"Yellowstar should've found a way to do her weird plan without using me!"

"She is sorry for what she did to you, but you must do what's best for FireClan. Don't you want things to get back to normal? When the Clans were peaceful, and we could just do whatever without a second thought? I know you this isn't you."

"What am I then? A mindless cat who is just being used by every cat around him, a cat who can't go anywhere without every warrior acting like they're afraid of him?"

"Right now you're a mindless cat, yes, but you could make the Clans finally see you as a smart warrior who actually knows what he's doing."

"All the Clans see me as another Lonelymist! I know you have already been suspicious of me turning out like my father!"

Stonepelt's eyes turned confused. He tilted his head before speaking. "What? Lonelymist isn't your father, he was an insane cat. Oaktail did us a favor by pushing him off that cliff!"

Nightstorm froze. Surely that's not true… He thought about what Stonepelt said before trying to find out more. "If you really know so much, then who is my father?"

"Some rogue Skyheart had kits with, she left him afterward for a tom named Bramblescar."

Nightstorm realized that was the brown tom he remembered from when he was a kit. "Why did she leave?"

"After Snowkit's death, she couldn't stand being with you any longer and left with Bramblescar. She was a horrible mother."

Nightstorm bared his teeth. He knew that was the truth, but he didn't want to accept it. Stonepelt didn't flinch and continued. "You weren't special until the incident, and now you can free yourself of that."

Nightstorm hesitated before running back into the bushes to catch up to his Clan. Why would Mintbreeze tell me Lonelymist was my father, unless she was lying… But Stonepelt must be trying to get me to join his side, Lonelymist is my father, right? He shot a glance back at the gathering place. Nightstorm had no idea who was right in this situation.

I swear if I was just reading this story with no clue what was gonna happen I would have no idea what was gonna be true or not.
