On the balcony of the conference room:
"Wayzz. In regards to your pivotal role in helping Narue with the protection of all of Japan, I will like to offer you a job here. Now if what Trixx says about you kwamis not really requiring monetary compensation is true, then you will be given free access to the snack vendors here at our facility."
"Oh I couldn't possibly do that. That would be stealing."
"Nonsense. The amount you little guys eat can easily be replaced not to mention I am no fool. If I were to charge the ones who empower Japan's newest superheroes who knows what would happen in a time of crisis? Besides, since your own my payroll I need to have a way to compensate you for your services and seeing that money is of no value to you, I'll just go down to the next thing. Food."
"I- if Narue wishes it-"
"What are you talking about Wazyzz? Of course I want you on the team."
"Then that settles it. Narue. Take your kwami around and show him the ropes."
"You got it chief."
"Chijinda. I need you and Kanda to go the main news station. There's something I need the both of you to report on."
Going their own separate ways, Narue started heading downtown. Maybe it was because of her increased confidence, but this time she was able to move more swiftly throughout Japan's city structure without so much as a dent in the pavement or the walls. As they traveled throughout the city Wayzz could see various people holding picket signs. He was even surprised to see a rather large number of them attempt to run up to his master.
"These people… do they have no sense of self-preservation? What if you accidentally stepped on them?"
Rolling her eyes Narue groaned.
"Trust me, they do this every single time."
"I- I see."
As they travelled throughout the city Narue would explain the daily life of the Japanese. Bit by bit Wayzz would learn more and more about his master and Chijinda's relationship.
"So that's what a Highschool detective does. It hasn't been so long since I was last activated and I can already see the world's advance far beyond what I can recognize."
Amused Narue asked her kwami
"Oh? Well what happened during your last activation?"
"The humans back then did not have those size altering technology nor were they capable of modifying the genetic integrity as those people have so done upon you. Also the energy mileage is quite impressive. Is it like this everywhere else?"
"I don't know. As far as I can tell Japan currently has the advantage with domestic power, namely as a result of adapting so I could still live here. They produce enough for me to eat and in return my waste gets turned into fuel, enough to sustain this country's power needs and then some."
Wayzz paused, a growing sensation of concern came upon his face. Throughout his talk with his master he couldn't help but pick up on something. No, it couldn't have been the other humans who were pestering his master. It was as though they were being followed. Had someone other than Narue, Chijinda and the chief spotted him? If so, that would potentially jeopardize his master's safety. However seeing that he had no way to confirm his suspicions he quickly dismissed them as mere tricks of the mind. Speaking of tricks of the mind-
"You said both you and Chijinda had discovered your Miracle boxes during what most would consider just another normal day. No one gave you those boxes?"
"No, and we didn't open them until about a week later. I'm sorry, it's been so long so I've kind've forgotten about it."
Location: News Station
"Yes. That's all we've got available at the moment."
"I see." Kanda said dejectively. "Sorry for wasting your time."
Having heard that no one was savvy about the identities of the 2 mysterious individuals who had only shown up recently, Kanda began pondering. Chijinda on the other hand was relieved.
"Chijinda. Why don't we go to the store? We've finished our task early so there should be plenty of time for us to pick up some essentials?"
Finding his suggestion reasonable, Chijinda agreed.
"Amazing."
"What is?" asked Chijinda.
"Just before we're about to be miniaturized another giantess appears out of nowhere. Oh- you didn't see the news, did you."
Pulling out his smartphone, Kanda pulled up the latest news video feed. In it Narue could been getting blasted by nukes, decimating the area. With a thick smog and the sound of her coughing all seems lost. And then a forcefield is erected over Japan. The smog dissipates and Narue can be seen lying right next to this mysterious giantess in a turtle costume. Arguably they look alike, both having blond hair and blue eyes. Chijinda is tending to her wounds. The new giantess helps to defend against the rest of the attacks. Later on she is accompanied by her assistant, a normal sized man in a fox costume. By this point both Narue and Chijinda had left.
"Oh. Oh that."
"Don't you wander who our new superheroes might be?"
"Not really. If we knew their secret identities, that would make it harder for them to defend us."
"You do raise a point my friend."
There it was again. The sinking feeling they were being watched and not by some human. Finding it stronger this time Wayzz knew what he had to do.
"Excuse me master-"
"It's Narue."
"Narue. I'm going to check around."
"What for? You found something interesting?"
"I think we're being followed."
"Ah, it's just those humans again-"
"No, not that. It's something more than a human."
"A-a ghost?!"
Dumbstruck all Wayzz could do was look his master in her face.
"You're afraid of ghosts? But you're like 73.04 meters tall. There's no way they can-"
"You don't know the thing about ghosts. They're vengeful spirits who can curse you, can't be killed and worse of all can possess you. There's no way I'm messing with any deceased spirit, giantess or not, least not without my man."
Taken back by shock Wayzz asked,
"Chijidna. He's an exorcist?"
"No, but he is a psychic."
Silence.
"What? You find that funny?"
"No, it's just that- that, I find it all so hard to believe."
"Believe what you want- say. Do you hear that?"
Though it was faint, Wayzz thought he heard the cry of a child.
"It's a lost child. Should we do something about it?" Wayzz inquired.
"I'm concerned but I don't think my presence is going to do much help."
"Oh it will" Wayzz tried to assure her. "These people hate titans, no doubt about that. If they were to see you, a giantess swoop in to save one of their one, don't you think their opinion will slowly start to change?"
"That's… not how it works, but oh well I guess."
Following the cries of the child Narue eyes widened. There. A pink butterfly was drifting towards the crying child. At the same time Chijinda had happened around the corner. At this point he and Kanda had decided to go their own separate ways. Knowing what to do, Chijinda propelled himself- and missed. Easily dodging the psychic detective, the pink butterfly fluttered away.
"Godzilla. Where are you Godzilla?" the child sobbed.
Must be some sort of family pet, Chijinda thought.
"Look kid. It's dangerous here. About you leave the hard-lifting stuff to us?"
"You'll- you'll get my Godzilla back, won't you?"
Chijinda nodded and with that the kid went back home. After seeing no one was around, least not out in the open, Narue lowered her hand allowing Chijinda to hop on.
"You saw that, right Narue?"
"It's those pink butterflies again. Never would I've expected them to make a reappearance."
"Oh it's probably nothing." Wayzz said.
"What do you mean? It can turn normal humans into super monsters." Chijinda countered.
Before they could continue however they heard a loud roar. Turning around a 50 meter tall bipedal lizard rushed forwards. Losing her footing, Narue fell backwards as Chijinda was thrown off her hand.
"Trixx, Let's Pounce!"
With the ensuring dust as camouflage, Yeou Lujeu felt no concern. It was a good thing this particular town was pretty dusty. It would make it easier to hide his true identity. Landing safely on his 2 feet he yelled.
"Mirage!"
The 50 meter bipedal lizard stopped. And then sniffed, as if looking for a meal. Then it growled and started dashing towards Narue who at this point had moved to an open area, far from any human structures.
"Eeek!" Narue screamed as the lizard lunged to take a bite out of her juicy flesh. Before it could do so however, a green shield struck it straight in the back. Turning around its eyes narrowed. Who was this unwanted guest? How dare it ruin its meal!
"You need to calm down. I'm not letting you harm that girl over there."
Hmph. So what? What was that thing going to do? Turning around to attend to its meal it noticed the tasty looking creature had run off. Jumping into a sprint, it was immediately knocked back.
"Running away? I don't think so. Your fight here is with me. Now come at me!"
With her eyes fixed on the lizard in front of her, Kaiju Plastra braced herself. The lizard lunged. She jumped in its way. Again it repeated, looking for an exit. With no escape insight its mouth started foaming. And then that's when it happened. Its started glowing red. Instinctively Kaiju Plastra raised her shield as a red beam shot out of the lizard's eyes. It was at this point in time when the turtle heroine noticed the lizard was wearing a collar. It said Godzilla.
"Yeou Lujej. Let me handle this. This isn't something you can trick let alone depower."
"Right. Everyone! Get as far away from here as possible. It's going to get dangerous!"
No one budged.
"Do you all have some sort of death wish?"
As if by a miracle, those who had gathered to see the show started fleeing, their sense of self-preservation finally kicking in.
"You ready?"
"You know I am."
"Let's do it!" And together they ran forward. The lizard or Godzilla as its collar said it was called did the same as well. With murderous intent in its eyes, it was clear what it wanted to do.
