We jumped out of the portal and stopped to catch our breath. Jim held onto my hand tightly, giving it a firm squeeze.

The two of us look over at Silver, who was glancing back at what was once a gold mine. "Silver, you gave up?" Jim asked. "Just a lifelong obsession, Jim. I'll get over it." Silver replied, waving his robot arm at us before adjusting his hat.

"Aloha, Jimmy and Jenny!" B.E.N shouts from above us. The three of us look up and see the ship lowering down to us. The robot leaned over the edge to look down at us while holding a panel.

"Hurry, people! We got exactly 2 minutes and 34 seconds till planet destruction!" He informed us. We all look at each other with a panicked demeanor.

The ship slammed into the platform we were standing on, giving us a chance to get on. Jim hops on first before he hoists me up. The two of us then help Silver up on board just as the ship lifts off.

Jim and I ran to the stairs, passing by Silver as he spoke with Amelia, "Captain, you dropped from the heavens in the nick of…". Amelia cuts him off angrily, "Save your claptrap for the judge, Silver."

Jim and I stopped as we looked at Silver, who was laughing nervously as he rubbed his chin with his robot arm. Suddenly, something collided with one of the masts, causing a piece of debris to fall on one of the generators.

The ship slowed down some as B.E.N was looking at screens in front of him. "Missile tail demobilized Captain! Thrusters are at only 30% capacity." B.E.N explains to Amelia and Delbert.

"Thirty percent? That means we're…" Delbert said before looking at Amelia, "We'll never clear the planet's explosion in time."

I run to the side of the ship and look back at the portal with Jim behind me. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" Jim asks me.

I look at him and nod with a smile on my face. "I am. We found our way out." I reply to him. We knew what we had to do to get us all out of here alive.

"We gotta turn around." I say, jumping down to the dock. "What?" Amelia exclaimed, looking down at us. I run to the broken laser cannon as Jim tells her, "There's a portal back there! It can get us out of here!"

Delbert was quick to cut in, "Pardon me, Jim and Jen? But didn't that portal open to a raging inferno?!" "Yes! But we're gonna change that! Jim and I are gonna open a different door." I reply, pulling a large metal sheet from the rubble with a hefty tug.

I hear B.E.N say how much time we had; only a minute and twenty-five seconds. Jim and I were trying to attach the thick metal sheets to the broken laser cannon in order to make a solar surfer.

"What do you need, Jim and Jen?" Silver asks, kneeling down to us. "Some way to attach this." Jim tells him, gesturing to the front parts. "Alright. Stand back. Stand back now." Silver said, wielding the board together with a welding torch in his robot arm.

Once attached, we all lift up both boards onto the railing of the ship. Jim and I hop onto the board with me in the front. It was big enough for the both of us to ride. Before we took off, Jim and I looked back at Silver.

"Okay, no matter what happens, keep the ship headed straight for that portal." Jim said seriously. I was about to say something but B.E.N interrupted by saying we only had fifty-eight seconds left.

Jim and I looked at the robot for a second before we looked at Silver worriedly. Silver returned the worried look. Jim and I quickly turn our heads to look in front of us.

Jim stepped on the power button to make the solar surfer start, launching us away from the ship. The both of us rode through the destruction, us flying back to the portal.

I kept my eyes on the portal while gritting my teeth. We flew over and under oncoming debris that was in our path. Suddenly, I hear the rocket part of the solar surfer shut off.

"Huh, what-?" I say, looking back at the rocket with Jim. He stepped on the button continuously in panic. To my horror, it wasn't turning on.

"No, no!" Jim cries, still stepping on the button feverishly. We start to plummet down in a crevice with lava at the bottom. It didn't take us long for us to figure out how to spark up the solar surfer.

"Come on!" I yelled as we jumped in the air for a second to get the rocket part to hit the wall. As we slid down the wall, it caused the rocket to quickly heat up.

It sparked back to life and we were sent back up to the surface. The ship passes us as we make it back up. B.E.N started counting down from seven.

"Jim, Montressor Spaceport!" I shout, reaching for the holographic globe. "Right! Let's go!" Jim replied. We both then press the button quickly.

The portal changed to Montressor Spaceport with only a second to spare and we all flew through the portal as it exploded from behind us. Our success in saving everyone had us all cheering and jumping for joy.

"Whoa-ho, yeah!" Jim belted with excitement. "We did it, Jim! We actually did it! Whoo-hoo!" I laughed with joy. "Y'all did it, Jim and Jen!" Silver laughed from the ship.

As we circled the ship, Jim and I high five each other at least 3 times triumphantly. Jim and I gave Silver a high five while he laughed with excitement. "Didn't I say they had greatness in 'em?" Silver asked as the crew cheered from below deck.

Jim and I grind on the ship's railing before hopping on the deck. We laughed and high fives each other twice. A happy smile crossed my face and my heart pounded out of my chest.

"We saved everyone, Jen! Can you believe it?" Jim laughed. "Yes I can! Oh, I can't explain how happy I am, Jim!" I reply to him with pure happiness in my voice.

Morph licked our faves happily, making us laugh. I put an arm around Jim's shoulders for a minute but he gets loose. "Unorthodox but ludicrously effective." Amelia says to us, her hands behind her back, "I'd be proud to recommend both of you to the Interstellar Academy. They could use a man and woman like you two."

"Just wait until y'all's mother hears about this! You'd make her proud for sure!" Delbert tells us proudly. "Yeah but let's leave the near death experiences out of that conversation." I say, a broad yet happy smile on my face. Jim and Delbert agreed with me on this.

Delbert went back to Amelia and wrapped her arm around her shoulders. "Jimmy, Jenny, that was unforgettable!" B.E.N said happily, "I know you guys don't like touching but get ready for a hug for each of you guys cause I gotta hug ya guys!"

Jim and I hug the nutty robot in a playful chokehold before we let him down. B.E.N was surprised by our reciprocation to the hug. "Hey, you guys hugged me back! Oh, I promised myself I wouldn't cry." the robot said, a hand on Jim's shoulder. He pretended to wipe a tear away before 'crying' in our arms.

I raise my head to look at Silver only to find that he wasn't in sight. "Where…?" I ask, my brow furrowed. Jim waits for a minute before looking at me. "I think I know." he says, taking me by my hand.
