Recap: It was Jack's first Saturday visit with Aiden. Aiden didn't want to go and was begging Becker and Jess not to make him go but they got him to try it. Becker and Jess were both on edge until Aiden got back. Aiden didn't have a good time with his dad and so Becker called Jack and told him that the visits were cancelled and they're were not forcing Aiden to do it anymore until Aiden asks to see his father again.

Starting Again: Chapter 18: Family Planning
Jess
The pregnancy test was positive. Oh my God. I can't actually believe I'm going to be doing this all again but this time it's not going to be me on my own and not having a clue what I'm doing. I'm going to have Becker by my side the whole time and after having Aiden, I know what to expect. I can't believe this is actually happening! Becker is going to be so happy. We have spoken about our future together and we decided that we wanted to have more children and we wanted to eventually get married, I can't wait to tell him but I don't know how to tell him. I want to do it in a fun way and film him so I can re-watch his reaction over and over again. I have a feeling he might cry. He is already an amazing father to Aiden so I know he's going to be an amazing father to this baby... our baby... that we made together.
When I found out I was pregnant with Aiden I felt nothing but fear and uncertainty but this time... I feel nothing but happiness and I know I'm going to be secure this time. I am so excited to have another baby and have a new addition to my already perfect family. Aiden is going to be so excited as well, he loves caring for things and he has always wanted a sibling like all of his friends at school, now he's going to get the chance. He is going to be an amazing big brother to this baby. I don't even know how to tell Aiden, obviously I need to tell Becker first and let it sink in with him but then we need to plan how to tell Aiden. It's an exciting time so I want it to be a little celebratory for him and I want Aiden to feel involved.
I am actually surprised that I'm pregnant already. Becker and I only spoke about having more children a couple of months ago, we weren't actively trying but we knew it was something we wanted. I thought we had been pretty safe; we always used condoms and as far as I know none of them have ever broke or had any issues with them. Whatever the reason, I am glad and I know Becker and Aiden will be too.
I popped the pregnancy test in my handbag and left the bathroom, going back to my spot at the hub. Becker was standing around pretending to be busy whilst waiting for me. We greeted each other with a smile when he saw me, I sat down in my chair and he came and stood behind me, putting his hands on my shoulders.
"Something's different," He commented.
"What's different?" I asked smiling.
"I don't know... just something... I like it though," He kissed the top of my head.
"Get a room you two," Abby joked as she came to stand by Becker.
"Funny," He replied "I better go, I have some butt kicking to do," I rolled my eyes at him but he kissed me on the cheek and made his way to the armoury.
"You look happy," Abby said.
"I am," I replied and turned to face her "Can you keep a secret?" I asked and she nodded "I mean it, like this is huge... you can't tell anyone. Not even Connor," I told her.
"I don't tell Connor anything anyway," She replied making me giggle "Spit it out," She urged.
I am dying to tell someone.
"I'm pregnant," I whispered.
Abby's face turned to shock but it looked like a happy shock.
"Oh my God, Jess I am so happy for you," She said and hugged me, I hugged her back "Congratulations... is Becker happy?" She questioned "Of course he is, he's in a really good mood," She said before I could answer.
"Actually he doesn't know yet," I told her.
"You told me first?" She asked and I nodded "I love you," She hugged me again.
"I love you too," I replied "But I need to come up with a way to tell Becker. I want it to be something fun and I want to be able to film it, I want to re-watch his reaction. I know he's going to happy about this," I told her.
"We'll come up with something." She promised.
Becker
I walked into the break room with a big smile on my face and sat down at a table where Matt and Connor were already sitting.
"You're very happy today," Matt stated.
"Well it's a good time to be alive boys," I replied.
"Someone had a good night," Connor muttered.
"Not that," I rolled my eyes "You two keep a secret?" I asked and they nodded excitedly, I reached into my pocket and got out the velvet box, I showed them the ring.
"You're gonna propose?" Connor asked.
"Shh!" Me and Matt hissed.
"Sorry," He whispered.
"Yes Connor. I want to propose to her," I answered.
I closed the box and put the ring back in my pocket.
"I brought it a couple of weeks ago and I've been waiting for the right time to do it, I've decided that I'm going to do it this weekend so I'm going to need your help, especially yours Connor because I need you to have Aiden for the night," I explained and Connor nodded "Matt, I need you and Emily to help me prepare a few things," I added and Matt nodded.
"She's going to say yes," Matt said.
"I hope so," I replied.
"Of course she is!" Connor exclaimed "She is madly in love with you and Aiden loves you too. There is no way on Earth she is going to say no," He told me.
"You're making the rest of us look bad," Matt joked.
"Have you not thought about it?" I asked him.
"I have but I'm not sure Emily wants to get married again," He answered "She didn't like the idea of marriage back in her day and she was forced to marry that idiot. It's not a good memory for her, when she speaks about her time with him, it all seems so bad and I don't want to subject her to that again," He explained.
"Well Abby and I are kind of engaged... sort of," He said making me and Matt laugh "We'll get there." He added.
Jess
I had spoken to Abby and I decided that I didn't want to keep it from Becker, I wanted to tell him and Abby had come up with a fun way of doing it. I was going to send Becker on a small scavenger hunt and it's going to lead him to a bun... placed in the oven. I thought it was quite clever and I'm not sure if Becker was going to get it at first but I am going to film him on his scavenger hunt and get his reaction. I'm excited.
Tomorrow was going to be the special day. It was going to give me and Abby a day to get this planned properly and gets it ready for Becker. I am so excited and although I did originally want Becker to be the first person I told but I just couldn't keep it to myself, I had to tell someone before I exploded! I'm also glad I told Abby, she was helping me set up my pregnancy announcement to Becker and I never would have come up with this on my own.
"Hey," Becker greeted me happily as he came to the hub.
"Hey," I replied and kissed him.
"What do you want for dinner tonight?" He asked as we made our way to the elevator, ready to go home for the night.
"I don't know. Nothing spicy," I replied.
"Shall we get something in tonight, a little treat," I suggested.
"Oh a Chinese sounds good," I said.
"Chinese it is." He agreed.
Not a long chapter I know but the next on
e is going to be a long one so I thought I'd break it up for you... how exciting is it that Jess is pregnant? Becker is also ready to propose! They are both planning for their future together and neither knows about the other. How is Becker going to react to Jess' pregnancy news? What will Jess say when Becker proposes to her?
We're nearly at the end and it's about to get really exciting, the next chapter is going to be a long one so make sure you're ready for it. it's going to be dramatic and I am really excited for you guys to read it!
