I slowly tap my fingers on the counter top.
They still haven't found the cave.
Hell, they still haven't made it close to the cave... and it has been five days.
I let out a long sigh.
"What's got you so depressed, buuuuddy~?" A voice asks to my left.
I look over to her. "Oh, nothing much Kali... just disappointed that they haven't found the ruins yet."
"Ah, yeah, people are sort of dumb sometimes." The girl shrugs.
I look to the girl. "So, how are you?"
"Oh, y'know... just living life, wanting to take you to bed again~"
"mn." I hum disinterestedly.
"Come oooon I want you to love me just as much as you Love Summer!"
"Well, I'm her boyfriend... not yours so that's sort of impossible." I shrug. "I don't want a harem, Kali, I just want to be with Summer... and I hate how she is straining our relationship like this."
Kali looks down at the table for a second. "Hrm... that is a bit of a problem..."
"What if you went on a date to see romantic places around the world! You could go have a picnic in forever fall, or maybe visit mistral?" She asks. "T-Then... maybe you could spend time with me?"
I sharply inhale and grab the bridge of my nose. "You deserve better than me."
"Awww! That's such a nice thing to say! Buuuut I see you as a challenge! You might not love me just yet, but I'll win you over!"
She leans over and mock whispers to me. "Also, maybe can you try and love Willow a little more? I know you didn't really... want... to marry her, but you could at least try to be a better husband that Jacques would have been, right?"
"Jacques would have driven her to drink, enslaved faunus in dust mines and even brand their face with the letters S.D.C... I fail to see how anyone could be worse than that." I scoff. "But I suppose I should probably spend some time with her."
She nods repeatedly. "Great!"
I run a hand down my face. "I guess I should get a small schedule, then... Summer, Willow, then you... does Raven want attention or something?"
"No, she apparently quite likes the lack of attention, she would go crazy if you acted like one of those love struck idiots on television."
"Like you?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.
"Ouch." She snorts good-naturedly. "Anyways, nah, she said she's fine with you having your focus on Summer, Willow and I, she likes the distant friendship more than intimacy."
"You do realize that she's probably pregnant with my child, right? That's pretty intimate-"
She waves me off. "Pshh who isn't pregnant with your child at this point? Me? Summer? Willow? Heck, as the god of reflection, I'm surprised you didn't gender bend Qrow and bang him- well, hypothetically, her- as well~"
"mn. That thought's horrible." I state with a frown.
Kali shrugs. "You could have~"
"Yes, and you could have not said that." I growl.
"But I did." She shrugs again.
"Ugh." I scoff "I have things I need to do which are more important than this cursed conversation."
"Hey, Cindy."
She looks over from the couch. "Yeah?"
"What do you want to eat? I don't think I'm going to be cooking tonight."
"Huh?" The girl hums with a small head tilt, contemplating what I just said.
"OOh! Ooh! I want burur qween!"
"Burger Queen? And what do you want from there?"
"uhhh... Nuggies?" She shrugs before turning back to the Tv and hopping along to whatever is happening on screen.
I flinch from the cuteness attack she strikes me with...
Summer, Raven, and Qrow are already entranced by her cuteness... and I doubt my godly resistances will hold out for long.
'ah... now if only she said 'I seriously hate Sundays'.'
I quickly tear my gaze away from the absolutely perfect and innocent child then stand up. "I guess I'll be getting some chicken nuggets, then."
"…"
Kali doesn't respond as she is also quickly entranced by the adorable menace that was a genocidal maniac in another timeline.
There is a pain in my heart, knowing fully well that I am going to have to leave the adorableness behind to get her food...
But sacrifices must be made... and I hope I might survive without thine holy adorableness.
A moment of clarity strikes me...
"…"
I should have based my church around Cinder.
"Next."
I wordlessly step forwards and look to a tanned man with a black apron, he has short blond hair that currently has a hat covering it, deep blue eyes, and is wearing a black shirt with red, green, brown, and tan lines on it.
"How can I help you."
"Just a ten-piece chicken nugget, please."
"Alright."
He turns around and quickly returns with my order.
"That'll be one Lien."
I reach into my pocket, pulling out my wallet, then give him said lien card.
"Thank you, please come again." He calls out.
"I will." I say back as I turn around and walk awa-
I pause for a moment and glance back.
'is that-'
It is.
Taiyang Xaio Long... working a fucking Burger King.
Or, well, Burger Queen
'yikes, I almost feel bad...'
Almost.
I turn and walk away.
"So, where are we going?" Summer asks with a small head-tilt.
"Weeell, I don't think we've ever gone on an actual date, soooo."
I drag her through the mirror as I step through.
"Welcome to forever fall!" I grin as I gesture towards the vibrant red and grey trees.
I with a wave of my hand, a cloth is formed across the red grass, then I reach through the mirror as if shifts again and pull out a picnic basket.
She lets out a gasp as she looks around. "It's... so pretty! I always saw this in the distance from Beacon, but..."
She hugs me. "This is a good location for a date!"
I smile and slowly nod.
She steps over to the blanket and sits down.
I follow along and sit down beside her.
I open the basket. "I hope you like sandwiches."
Her eyes widen as she looks in to see several sandwiches that have had the crust cut off and then cut into small triangles. "I could kiss you..."
She then proceeds to kiss me.
She eventually pulls away. "and I did~"
She leans her head on my shoulder. "I love you, Deus... I really do."
"And I love you too, Summer."
She takes a small bite of one of the sandwiches. "Hn! So good!"
"I'm glad you like it..." I hum. "It took a while to make them... as I didn't just will them into existence... the food I do that too tastes a little... bland."
"Y-you went through all that effort... for me?" She whispers.
"Why wouldn't I? I go through the effort of dealing with your nonsense every day, a couple of sandwiches are easy."
"What the heck do you mean by that?" She pouts.
I snort and take a sandwich out of the box.
We lay, staring up at the slowly passing clouds, Summer laying her head on my chest.
"Hey, Deus?"
"Yeah?" I ask.
"I'm thinking about names... how does... 'Lazuli' sound?"
"Hrm... I assume we'd be using your last name since I don't actually have one... Lazuli Rose?" I ask with a small head-tilt. "maybe... if it's a boy."
"If it's a girl, what about Ruby?" I suggest as I brush my fingers through Summer's hair.
"…"
"…"
"My mother's name... was Ruby..." She whispers.
I frown slightly and watch the clouds pass overhead.
"I-I... like that." She mutters as she gently touches her stomach. "her memory will be able to live on in little... Ruby."
"You know... when I went to Beacon... I didn't expect to be a father of five... hoo boy... I'm going to suffer."
"Five? What about si-"
I flick her forehead causing her to twitch and let out a small "Ow."
She glances over to me and pouts. "Deeuuus come on! Why not push for six?"
"Sanity, time management, the fact that they will all- but Cinder, bless her poor soul- will be godlings?!"
"Like, they'll be stronger, faster, more durable... they might accidentally hurt Cinder while they are playing! Hell, Atlas might even kidnap them and do experiments on them!"
"IF THEY DO, ATLAS WILL FALL BY MY HANDS!" Summer roars.
"I don't doubt they will, but... still doesn't cover the first couple of points... they're going to break stuff, Summer..." I sigh.
"Then, you'll just fix it..." She shrugs. "You're a god, right? Just do godly things!"
"I guess... but I'm still afraid for little Cinder..." I state with a small frown.
"Yeah..." She sighs. "But you can teach them how to control their strength, right?"
"I've only been a god for three years, Summer, and most of that was being seen as a supermarket ghost or abnormally powerful."
"…"
"That's a 'No', by the way." I clarify.
She frowns.
"Have you thought of Other names? Like for Raven?"
"Yin for Raven's child, Wiess for Willow's and Blake for Kali's"
"…"
"Those fit." She shrugs.
"Indeed." I nod.
"…"
"…"
We are both silent for a while.
"Soooo~" Summer hum as she glances over to me. "Since we're all alone..."
She runs a single finger down my chest. "Why don't we... take advantage... of the situation?"
"Oh? And what exactly do you have in mind?"
"Weeeeell not too much..." She hums. "But we are alone, in the middle of nowhere, with lots of cover... nobody is out here, and if there was you could sense them miles away... soooo nobody would know if we... say... lose our clothes temporarily, and only find them after... a couple hours, maybe? and well, it can get really boring out here, soooo we had to find some way to entertain ourselves, right?"
"Hey Summer," I begin.
"Yeah?" She blinks.
"Where did your shirt go?"
"…" she blinks down at her shirt as if confused for a moment before a grin splits her face.
"where too now?"
"I don't kn-" I freeze in place, then abruptly turn and walk down a nearby alleyway.
"Deus! Where the heck are you going?!"
Summer eventually catches up to me to see me kneeling before a trash can.
"What are you-"
"Hey... it's okay... I'm not going to hurt you..." I whisper to the trashcan.
"What... are you doing?" Summer repeats.
A pink eye peeks out from around the trash can.
"Oh."
"…"
The rest of the figure peeks out revealing a head of pink, white, and brown hair, and pink and brown eyes.
Summer gasps. "She's... so pretty!"
She's also only like five years old... similar to Cinder when we first found her.
Yep. It's the adorable little Neo Politan... or was it Neopolitan?
I pull a candy bar out from my coat. "Hey, it's okay... what are you doing out here all alone?"
She slowly reaches out and snatches it, only to quickly retreat back behind the garbage can.
"Are you... okay?"
Two eyes peer around the side of the garbage can again.
*Slam* *Clink*
"U-Uh Deus?"
*Slam* *Clink*
"W-Why are you slamming your head on the table?"
"Hrm?" I hum as I look over to Summer, a red spot on my forehead from my constant head slamming, the jingle of cutlery reaching my ears. "Oh, this? I've come to the crippling realization that I'm going to have six- or possibly more accounting for twins- kids!"
I gesture to Neo sitting on the couch with her knees up to her chest, watching Tv in a little ball while Cinder continues hopping around.
"…"
"I'd give my life for either one of them." Summer sighs.
"As would I." I agree.
We had adopted Neo not too long after first seeing her... she's still a little... shy... and she doesn't talk much, but she can talk.
I glance around. "Where... did Raven, Qrow and Kali go?"
"Oh... they all were inspired by my weapon and wanted to go and try and make... 'mecha-shift' weapons."
"I'm so glad I coined that term." I snort. "Hell, I should have claimed the idea."
I let out a long sigh. "I'm still just disappointed in Humanity... but hurrah! another fanatic follower... I know sometimes children worship their parent's attention, but this is a bit much, don't you think?"
"Ehhh." She shrugs. "Not really."
"…"
"also I'm just annoyed that I got almost no faith from my little temp-"
You have gained 31 divine ranks.
"Whatthefreshfuck." I hiss.
Summer raises an eyebrow. "Hm? What's wrong?"
You may now do 15 Lesser Divine Abilities every 3 hours.
You may now do 2 Moderate Divine Abilities every 12 months.
Your moderate Divine Abilities have been refreshed.
"I... holy shit..."
"Language!" She hisses, elbowing my side with a glare.

"I... just gained a considerable amount of power... and the ability I used to craft our home here as been refreshed... plus I can do two now..."
"…"
"Hm." I hum as I scratch my chin. "I wonder if I should start on the whole 'Hunter's Guild' thing... oooor..."
I snap my fingers.
"And now there's another temple somewhere out in the world... only this one has actual crystal-based weapons in it."
"…"
"Hm?" She hums.
"It was either that, or making a small tribe of long-living and long eared forest people with a knack for archery and taming animals..."
"Actually, I think I'm still a bit too weak for that... It'd probably only be a group of two or three... but hey, a new race has to start somewhere."
"…"
Summer blankly stares at me. "okay?"
Pov: elsewhere.
Merlot is confident.
His attack on Mountain Glenn was a success, the city was abandoned... the dread of losing a city and the new influx of people in Vale has left the grimm agitated, huntsmen and huntresses are being sent out nonstop to cull the packs that edge just too close to the walls of Vale.
He is positive he will get some sort of praise from his queen, his attack was a success, thus perhaps what could have quickly become the fifth city of humanity has fallen.
He opens the door.
"…"
Salem is sitting across from an... apathy... but it isn't the normal variation of the depression creating grimm... It has swords for hands... and has a... green... bandanna... around its forehead?
"Would you like something to drink, Zoro?" The immortal woman asks.
*Crack*
It tilts its head to the side and looks over to the door, its neck violently cracking as it sits at a right angle.
Salem slowly turns to look at the door and freezes in place once she spies Merlot, a red blush quickly crossing her pale cheeks.
"…"
"Out..." She hisses.
Merlot blinks slowly.
"I SAID GET OUT!" The woman roars, a full blush across her face as she launches an orb made of black fire towards the door.
The scientist barely gets to close the door before *FWOOSH*
He wisely decides to remove the past five minutes from his memory... he can report to her later...
Ah, the embarrassment of immortals... such bliss.
I wonder what Miss Nikos is doing right about now?
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed another chapter, I'll see you whenever the next is done!
