WATER

Azula and Ty Lee tried to bathe newborn Anka for the first time today. They filled up the small bath and had cloths on hand to wash her. Rosy soap. Everything a tiny princess needed.

But, of course, as Ty Lee knew she would but Azula did not, Anka wailed terribly every time they tried to put her in the water.

Azula pulled Anka close to her after four failed tries to simply ignore the squalling like a normal mother and bathe their baby and turned to Ty Lee, whom was trying to hide her lack of patience

"She doesn't like it," said Azula sharply. "Can't we just let her stay dirty?"

"I know she doesn't like it, Princess, but we have to do it." Ty Lee offered a genuine smile. "I can do it if you want. I'd do anything to make you happy."

Azula's eyes violently flashed and Anka stirred in her arms. "No! I absolutely do not trust you to not have an airhead moment and drown my baby."

"In three inches of water?" deadpanned Ty Lee.

"Yes, in three inches of water!"

Ty Lee turned up her palm and smiled reassuringly again to diffuse the tension. "If you hold her I can do the washing."

Azula huffed. "Fine. I suppose that's a fair suggestion."

Azula dipped Anka in and the baby began to wail in terror. Hastily, Azula pulled her out of the water and held her to her chest protectively.

Ty Lee closed her eyes and held her tongue.

This was going to be a long afternoon.
