Armorwing Drama

Two Days Later...

Mala was fully recovered and the group was flying over the ocean on their way to Armorwing Island to find the next Dragon Eye Lens.

"Woo-hoo! I love my new dragon, heheh!" Dagur laughed, flying beside Rina and Striker on his green Gronckle, named Shattermaster.

Heather and her Razorwhip dragon, Windshear, came up beside Dagur, "Dagur, you said that five times already.." Heather told him.

"What? I can't have some fun?" Dagur teased. Heather playfully sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Alright everyone, we're here..!" Rina called to them seeing Armowing Island ahead. The dragons landed on the island, "Okay, so exactly are we gonna find this Armorwing dragon?" Mala asked.

"Armorwing, usually look for scrap or loose metal laying on the ground, so they can use it for their bodies. So we can lure one out with some metal.." Rina explained.

"Like... this?" Viggo asked, holding Dagur's dagger.

"No! Not my lucky dagger!" Dagur cried, exasperated.

"Dagur, you have six more of them of those things." Heather pointed out, making him sigh and pout, "Fine..."

Rina chuckled and soon the group was hiding in the brush near a small clearing with Dagur's dagger in the center. "Here comes the Armorwing..." Rina whispered.

The Armorwing appeared from the brush and everyone, except for Rina, gasped in awe seeing the dragon. The Armorwing was pale green with a tan-colored head similar to that of a Monstrous Nightmare. It had an underbite, nasal horn between two large nostrils, bulging yellow eyes and a pair of twisted horns. "Woah that's a huge dragon.." Dagur whispered.

"Yep.. now..." Rina took out her spyglass and examined the Armorwing, "The Dragon Eye said the lens was hidden in plain sight.. so..." scanning the Armorwings body, Rina spotted a Dragon Eye lens on its armored body. "Thought so! The Armorwing has the lens on its body."

"Okay, so we just take it off, no problem." Dagur said and he was about to walk out when Rina grabbed him back, "Not so fast. Dagur. Pulling metal off of an Armorwing with human strength is very difficult, because it fused the metal against its body." Rina explained.

"And why's that?" Throk asked. "My Queen and I have never seen a dragon like this before."

"The Armorwing doesn't have any scales like other dragons, so it used metal to protect itself." Rina explained.

"No scales? That's a new one." Heather stated.

The group watched the Armorwing sniff the dagger before picking it up in his teeth. "Okay, so how else can we get it off of him?" Heather asked.

"Uh... where'd your brother go?" One defender asked.

"What do you mean he's right-" Rina pointed... only to see a blinking outline of the Beserker. Then the group heard some growls and saw the Armorwing trying to buck something off of his back... which was Dagur.

"Thor help me.." Heather deadpanned.

"Oh brothers..." Rina sighed.

Dagur was cheering as he tried to pry the Lens off, "Is that all you got?" Dagur teased. The Armorwing snarled before it took off into the air. "He's gonna get himself killed." Mala grumbled.

"He's a Beserker, what else is new." Heather deadpanned before the group mounted their dragons and took to the air. Shattermaster flew after the Armorwing who snarled before turning around and launching its fire at the dragon, who dodged and Twilight blasted it back in the chest. "Woah! That's surprsing!"

"Twilight, keep blasting it. We'll try to get in close." Rina said. "Stay clear of its fire. It'll make your dragons vision blurry if it grazes near."

The group nodded and Twilight kept blasting the Armorwing, who blocked it with his wing, but he saw Snow and Eclipse coming up from its left and fired a blast at them, grazing near their eyes. Snow and Eclipse growled as their vision became blurry. Snow and Eclipse shook their heads, "Easy Snow." "Easy Eclipse.." Mala and Throk soothed as the two slowly descended on the ground and rubbed their eyes.

Mala and Throk saw their pupils were dilated due to the blast, "I see what she means about the eyes." Throk winced.

"Yep." Mala agreed. Shattermaster crooned and got behind the Armorwing to get to his rider. "Shattermaster, there you are bud.." Dagur smiled, but the Armorwing wasn't happy. It turned around and fired a blast but Shattermaster flew above it and launched a lava blast at the dragon. The Armorwing snarled at the Gronckle while Heather and Windshear got near him, "Dagur come on!" Heather called.

"Almost... ugh..! Got it!" Dagur exclaimed, holding the lens high in the air.

However, "Get it..!" a Flyer came in and tried to snatch it but Dagur avodied the attack. "Flyers!" Heather cried, seeing more Flyers!

"Don't let them get that lens." Heather called.

"Right sis.." Dagur called back. The Armorwing roared at the Flyers who ordered their Singetails to fire at him. The Armoring roared and dodged the fireballs and blasted two SIngetails with its fire blast, disorientating their vision. Shattermaster got close enough to Dagur for him to climb on. "Let's get em, Shattermaster...!" Dagur exclaimed and his Gronckle growled in agreement.

Silver, Quill and Scardin fired their spines at the Flyers, forcing them to dodge and Twilight rammed another Singetail. Dusk and Dawn created a firewall in the air blocking the Flyers from the Armorwing. The Armorwing actually set some of the metal on its tail on fire and launched it at the Flyers! The attack hit, knocking both him and the Singetail out of the air!

"Awesome...!" Dagur exclaimed.

"Interesting..." Viggo added.

Striker roared and grabbed two Flyers in his tail before launching them into the forest. Snow and Eclipse fired their plasma blasts from the ground while Camo launched lava blasts at the Flyers as well.

Suddenly, the two Flyers that landed after Striker launched them, grabbed Mala and Throk!

Snow and Eclipse roared in alarm as the Flyers regroup around the two. "Give the Dragon Eye lens, boy. Or say goodbye to your friends here.." the Flyer demanded. Dagur growled, knowing he couldn't give up the lens.

"So what will it be..." The Flyer asked, not noticing another dragon coming up behind them. The four heard a snarl and turned around... only to see a Hideous Zippleback dragon!

"Oh no.." the Flyers grumbled and the Zippleback roared at them and grabbed Mala and Throk and placed them on their necks before it flew away with them!

"Hey! That counts as kidnapping!" Dagur called to the Zippleback.

"Deal with the Flyers first and then we'll go after Mala and Throk. Snow and Eclipse warbled before the two followed the Zippleback on the ground.

Rina and the others fired their attacks at the Flyers and Rina's mark glowed and she fired a lightning bolt at a Singetail, shocking it and the Flyer, knocking him off and the Singetail flew away.

"That's what I'm talking about.!" Heather cheered.

"Surprising! Surprising!" Dagur cheered.

Rina launched two more bolts before the Flyers decided to retreat. Rina and the others landed and Rina felt dizzy and held her head. "Woah... haven't done that in a while.."

"You okay, Rina?" Heather asked.

"Y-Yeah, just copying other dragons attacks, takes a lot out of me." Rina explained. "I'll be fine. Right now, let's go find Mala and Throk."

"Looks like your Furies already have a head start." Dagur said, seeing the Light Fury and Night Fury footprints leading into the forest. "Well then, let's follow them." Then, Rina and the others followed Snow and Eclipse.

Meanwhile, the Zippleback landed and let Mala and Throk go. "Ugh... thanks dragon.." Throk stated. The Zippleback cooed and now Mala and Throk got a good look at it. The Zippleback was orange with red spots, but there was something up with the left head.

It's eye were milky white for some reason.

"Uh.. why is this heads' eyes white?" Thork questioned.

"Perhaps the Armorwing disorientated its vision?" Mala suggested.

"Hmm... but its eyes would still be same color as the other head; red."

"Hmm.. then..." Mala and Throk gasped in realization, "It's blind...!" The Zippleback cooed at the two of them and nudged them.

"Poor dragon, how'd you get this way?" Mala said. Throk looked closer at the eye,"Hmm... no scratches, so no sign of injuries, must have been an unnatural occurrence." The left Zippleback head cooed sadly. "Don't worry, dragon. We might know someone who can help you.." Mala smiled.

The Zippleback cooed happily at the two of them. That's when Snow, Eclipse and the group appeared. "Mala, Throk, are you okay?" Heather asked.

"We're fine, Heather." Mala said.

"I see you bonded with a Hideous Zippleback.." Rina grinned.

"Yes, this dragon showed great bravery, even when half of it is blind." Throk smiled.

"Blind?" Rina questioned, before seeing the left heads' milkey white eyes. "Woah, that's something you don't see everyday." Heather commented.

Rina dismounted Striker and went over to the left Zippleback head. "Hmm.. wonder what I can do for you..." Rina said before her mark started glowing again!

"Rina..! Your mark..!" Heather gasped. Rina felt her glowing mark before her left hand started to glow as well. Looking between the Zippleback head and her hand... Rina placed her hand on the Zippleback's left head, which closed its eyes. The glow increased a little for a moment before it diminished all together. When the glow was gone, Rina pulled her hand away and the Zippleback opened it eyes... revealing red eye color!

Rina gasped in awe. "You restored its vision with your mark!" Heather gasped. "Did you know you could do that?"

"Nope.." Rina replied.

"Your mark is full of surprises." Throk grinned. Rina nodded and the Zippleback cooed at Mala and Throk, nuzzling them. "Hehe, looks like he wants to be your dragon, Mala and Throk."

"Our dragon..?" Mala asked.

"Yeah. He picks you two as his riders afterall." Rina smirked. "Besides, your Eruptodon will be happy to have a new friend with you two."

Mala and Throk looked at each other and back at the Zippleback, who smiled at them. "... Alright Rina, if you say so.." Mala smiled.

The Zippleback roared happily and lowered its heads to Mala and Throk. Rina dug into her supply basket and pulled out some leather saddles. "You had saddles with you?" Dagur questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"What? I'm prepared." Rina defended before she placed the two saddles on the Zippleback's neck. "There you go. Try them out." Mala and Throk looked at each other and carefully got the Zippleback. The dragon cooed happily at the two of them. "Hehe, looks like he likes it." Heather smiled.

"Yep." Rina added, smiling at the scene. Then she pulled out the Dragon Eye and replaced the lens with the one Dagur grabbed. "Alright then.." the process happened once more and more projections appeared on the ground. The center image this time was a large caldera with Rina's mark in the center. "Woah... what's that caldera for..?" Heather asked.

"I don't know.." Rina said. Then Rina's mark glowed and started beeping as well as the Dragon Eye. Rina moved the Dragon Eye to the West and the blinking was strong and bright, but when she moved it to the North, it dimmed down. She moved it back and the blinking became strong again. "Looks like the Dragon Eye is like a homing beacon to the Dragon Queen." Heather stated.

Rina looked at everyone and back at the artifact, "Then let's follow it..." Rina and Striker flew off and the others followed the duo.

Three Hours Later...

The group was flying over the ocean and their dragons seemed to sense something nearby, "The dragons must be sensing something.." Mala said and the Dragon Eye was glowing brighter than ever.

"And the glow's getting even brighter. We must be close.." Rina stated.

"But there's nothing out here but miles and miles of-what's that?" Dagur asked as the group saw a large cloud of steam ahead and the dragons flew over it revealing a large caldera which was a giant collapsed volcano in the middle of the ocean. "Woah..." Heather gasped in awe at the sight of it.

Then the dragons cooed and they dove right into it. "Striker...!" Rina exclaimed as they dove inside. Once they were out of the stream, they saw the large caldera and the dragons cooed before they flew through a tunnel and they came out in a large mushroom forest. "Beautiful..." Mala said in awe at the sight the forest.

"Indeed..." Throk added. The dragons continued flying until they came out into a gigantic world filled caverns and with dragons. "Oh my... Gods..." Rina gasped in utter shock.

There were dragons flying everywhere and large islands with large coral and fungi mushrooms on them. "Every dragons species must live in here.." Rina gasped as the Dragon Eye glowed as they flew. "So how are we gonna find the Queen of Dragons..?" Heather asked.

"You're looking for the Queen?" The group turned and saw a Sentinel dragon flying beside them, "Where'd you come from?!" Dagur exclaimed.

The Sentinel chuckled, "I mean you no harm. Follow me.." The Sentinel said as she flew off. Rina and Striker looked at everyone and they flew after the Sentinel as they flew towards the center of the world which was a gigantic crystal. The group landed and they dismounted the dragons. "Woah... what is this place...?" Heather asked.

"This is the Hidden World. The ancestral home of all dragons.." the Sentinel spoke to everyone. "And I assume your here to find the Queen of Dragons."

"Y-Yes... do you know where she is...?" Rina asked. The Sentinel grinned, "The Queen is already here."

"Already here?" Heather asked confused. "What do you mean?"

"I mean that the Queen of Dragons is standing before me..." The Sentinel said before turning to Rina. "And that person... is you Rina." Rina's eyes widened in utter shock while the Defenders of the Wing gasped.

"... Plot Twist..." Dagur stated, earning a glare from Heather.
