Ch 18 A Huge Surprise

Leo spun his head around only to be tackled by Karai. The pair went sliding across the ground. Donnie ran and helped Yoshi to his feet. "Father are you alright?" the purple masked turtle asked, the concern clear in his voice.

"Yes I am fine my son," Yoshi said with a smile. Then he winced as a stab of pain went through his back. "It is nothing," Yoshi declared as Donnie went to look at his wound. "Come we must help Karai." With that the father and son went to help Karai, who had been kicked through the air by Leo.

"Leo stop!" Donnie cried out as Leo kicked Karai hard in her side, sending her skidding across the ground. Leo spun around and looked at his younger brother with such rage in his eyes that it made Donnie stop dead in his tracks. The purple masked turtle had never seen his oldest brother have such a look of hate in his eyes. And that scared the genius turtle. But Donnie quickly pushed that fear aside and focused on the task at hand. And that was getting Leo out of the mind control drug's hold. "Leo don't do this!" Donnie tried again. "We're not your enemies here! We're your family! You know that deep down you don't really want to do this."

"You know nothing about what I want," Leo growled, advancing towards Donnie, who had to fight every instinct in his body not to run away.

"I've known you my entire life," Donnie said. "I know how you think. If you kill us then you'll never be able to forgive yourself."

"That was the old me," Leo declared. "The old me was stupid, weak and useless. Master Shredder has shown me what my true potential can be. You all have been holding me back all my life! Well those days are over!" With that Leo leapt at Donnie and tackled him to the ground. Karai and Yoshi went to help the genius turtle but Shredder had other plans. He signaled and Tiger Claw, Dog-Pound and Snakeskin moved in. Snakeskin whipped his tail hard, taking Yoshi and Karai's feet out from underneath them. Tiger Claw and Dog-Pound moved quickly and picked Yoshi and Karai off the ground by their necks and slammed them hard into the wall. Yoshi tried to break free but most of his energy had been spent during his fight with Leo. But luckily for Yoshi help soon came. Hearing the sounds of fighting Yoshi was quickly dropped to the ground. Gasping in air Yoshi felt a pair of gentle hands on his shoulders. Looking up Yoshi found himself looking into the concerned light brown eyes of Mikey.

"Are you alright Father?" the orange masked turtle asked, helping Yoshi to his feet.

"Yes I am alright Michelangelo," Yoshi said once he had got his breath back. Looking over he saw that April had helped Karai take down Dog-Pound while Casey had taken out Snakeskin. Yoshi also saw the Donnie had succeeded in kicking Leo off of him and the purple masked turtle was coming to help his friends. Yoshi looked over and saw the Tiger Claw had recovered from Mikey's hit. "Come my son," Yoshi said, picking up his walking stick. "We have much to do." With that the father and son went on the attack, neither one of them willing to back down. Mikey focused on Dog-Pound and he along with April moved in for the attack. But the mutant wolf was ready for them and swung his huge paw at them, claws extended. Mikey and April had to leap to the side to avoid getting hit.

"You didn't think it would be that easy did you?" Dog-Pound growled as he picked up a create and threw it at the two teens. Mikey was able to dodge the create but April wasn't quite fast enough and the create hit her in the back, knocking her out.

"April!" Mikey cried out, his light brown eyes wide. Then his concern became anger. "Not cool dude," the youngest turtle growled, glaring at Dog-Pound. "You are so going to pay for that dude." With that Mikey raced towards Dog-Pound, twirling his nunchakus. "Booyakashaw!" Mikey cried out as he lept in the air and delivered a hard kick to Dog-Pound's chest, sending the wolf stumbling backwards. Mikey wasted no time and lept in the air once again and wrapped the chain of his nuchakus around Dog-Pound's arms and pulled him to the ground. The thirteen year old then hit Dog-Pound as hard as he could with the nunchaku, knocking him out. Mikey unwrapped the chain and picked up Dog-Pound and tossed him in a nearby create and shut the lid. "Down boy," Mikey grumbled, brushing his hands together. Then he ran to check on April, who was waking up. "April!" Mikey cried out, running over to his red headed friend and helping her to her feet. "Dude are you ok?" the orange masked turtle asked, looking at April with concern.

"Yeah," April groaned, rubbing her head. "I'm fine Mikey. Lets go help the others." With the the pair went to help their friends.

While April and Mikey were having their fight Donnie and Casey were having their own against Snakeskin. Donnie charged towards the mutant snake, twirling his bo. Leaping in the air Donnie swung his bo at Snakeskin. But the purple skinned reptile slithered to the side, causing Donnie to miss and nearly break his bo and the ground. Snakeskin whipped his tail and hit Donnie hard in his shell, sending the fourteen year old to the ground. Snakeskin the spat venom at the genius turtle. But Casey was watching and hit Snakeskin with his hockey stick. Snakeskin was not phased by the hit and whipped around and grabbed Casey's hockey stick and flung the teen to the ground. "You will regret the day you messed with me," Snakeskin hissed, hitting Casey with his own hockey stick, landing a direct hit to his arm. A crack was heard and Casey cried out in pain.

"Casey!" Donnie cried out, his black eyes wide as he raced to help his friend. Donnie picked up some chain that was on the ground and wrapped it around his bo and swung it hard, catching Snakeskin in his head, causing him to stumble. This gave Casey a chance to recover and he quickly got to his feet and grabbed his hockey stick despite the pain he was feeling.

"Lets finish this bozo," Casey growled, looking at Donnie, who nodded. Together the pair attacked at the same time, swinging their respective weapons. Snakeskin was caught off guard and didn't even have time to react before he was knocked out cold.

"Problem solved," Donnie said, taking the chain off his bo and tying Snakeskin up with it.

"C'mon D lets got help the others," Casey said. With that the two teens went to help the others.

Karai had her sights set on Tiger Claw and the teen was determined not to back down no matter what. "Time for you to pay for your treachery girl," Tiger Claw snarled, getting out his chain.

"Funny," Karai shot back, glaring at the assassin. "I was about to say the exact same thing to you!" With that Karai charged forward, her sword extended. Tiger Claw let out a roar of fury and charged as well. The two foes connected and Karai soon found herself on the losing end. Her sword had become tangled in Tiger Claw's chain and the mutant took full advantage and pulled Karai's sword out of her hands. Letting out a cruel laugh Tiger Claw threw the sword off to the side along with his chain.

"And now you face the real Tiger Claw!" he thundered, clenching his fists tight.

"Bring it you furry shitball!" Karai shouted as she too clenched her fists tight. Letting out cries of fury the two charged once again at each other. Even though Tiger Claw was bigger and stronger than Karai the young ninja was faster and able to move better due to her slim build. Karai dodged blow after blow and delivered a hard blow to Tiger Claw's stomach, winding him. Karai took full advantage of this and clasped her hands together and swung her arms hard, landing a direct hit to Tiger Claw's spin with her elbows. Karai then spun around and went to kick Tiger Claw in his head. But Tiger Claw recovered quicker than Karai expected and he suddenly stood upright and grabbed Karai's leg as she neared him.

"I grow tired of playing games with you!" Tiger Claw snarled as he slammed Karai hard into the ground. Despite her best efforts not to cry out Karai couldn't help but do so as her body once again hit the cement ground hard. Tiger Claw raised her up to slam her again when suddenly someone swooped in and kicked Tiger Claw, sending him flying through the air and into the cement wall. His assailant attacked again, knocking the tiger out cold.

"Are you alright Karai?" the assailant asked, holding our their hand. Karai's vision was blurry and she shook her head to clear her vision. When her vision cleared she was shocked at who her savior was
