Against tradition, Hermione had a tearful Camilla walk her down the isle. It had truly been a wonderful moment.
Hermione's dress was simple, yet elegant and hugged her five month pregnancy bump. Her hair had been left to flow in her natural curls, only held down by the clasp of her veil. Her make up had been simple and natural but she was positive that if it weren't for the magic spells, it would've been dripping off her face before the ceremony had even ended. In her defence, she was hormonal, Fred was just emotional.
All of their friends and family had been present, except for Ron, who even though he had not been invited, had went AWOL.
Their wedding was also their announcement that she was pregnant, since this was the first time she had revealed her growing stomach. It only made the occasion more special and tearful.
The reception was a whole other story. The event had been wild. Hermione wasn't much of a drinker, but she did have to admit that watching those around her grow more tipsy was a sight to behold.
Hermione watched with a fond smile, as Fred was trapped in Charlie's arm, currently having his hair ruffled. Just as Mrs Weasley wandered off to find her husband, Camilla took her place in the seat beside the bride.
"Are you happy?" She asked, already knowing the answer.
"Happier than I've ever been." She smiled, tearing her eyes away from her husband to look at the older mother figure. "How are you?"
"I'm as well as can be expected, dear, don't you fret." She discerned her worries.
Hermione bit her tongue, seeing through the older witches lie. She wasn't alright, and both of them knew it, just neither one wanted to admit it.
"I want you to have something." She spoke, suddenly, causing Hermione to look at her with a curious expression. Camilla swished her hand, before a book landed in her grasp.
As she passed it to Hermione, she immediately recognised it as the older woman's treasured copy of Romeo and Juliet that she had spoke of on Hermione's first venture to the shop. It seemed like a lifetime since then.
"I wanted to ask, if you'd carry on the tradition." She smiled, softly, watching as Hermione flicked it open to find the signatures of those who had read it, on the inside of the cover, including Cedric's.
"I'd be honoured." Hermione replied, tears in her eyes as she realised this was Camilla's parting gift.
"You look after yourself, dear." Camilla smiled, warmly, as she gently rested a hand on the side of Hermione's face. "I wish you and you're family much happiness."
Later into the night, Fred escorted her to Mr Weasley's flying Ford Anglia which he had kindly offered them as transport to their honeymoon destination, Shell Cottage.
Both had agreed that they just wanted a simple honeymoon close to home, especially since Hermione was pregnant. Upon hearing this, Molly had passed the information onto Bill and Fleur who had immediately offered their holiday home to them.
Before Hermione could even comprehend what was happening, Fred was whisking her from the car and into his arms, walking into the house with a big grin.
"This is the beginning of the rest of our lives, my love, Mrs Weasley."
"And I can't wait," She wrapped her arms around his neck, reaching up to kiss him with a smile on her face. "My dear, Mr Weasley."
A/N: The next chapter is the last, but I'd like to thank you for your support throughout this story, it's been incredible and has kept me writing. I just want to say that although Fred died in the original story, for the purpose of my own, it was George and whilst Shell Cottage is the home of Bill and Fleur in the original, it is a holiday home in my fic.
