Metro
As usual, business was booming at the Metro court like always and as the ones who run the bar, Barbara and Henry made sure everything was running smoothly. Of course, the customers were happy and the orders were running like fine wine with no problems . For one of them in Barbara Ryan, she still had to tell her husband about Simon and his brain tumor. The crew of the Metro threw them a welcome back party since they heard of their return so of course they wanted to do something special. Barbara and Ryan were glad, thankful to have not just those in Oakdale but also those who work for them, they're really special people to have. The thing is, Barbara wanted to tell Henry about Simon, just not in that moment because it would ruin the celebratory mood for her husband. Once it was all over they got ready for the rest of the night and here they all are. After the bartender made Barbara a one of her well fashioned drinks that she loves, she told the bartender to make it a strong one. Why? To tell Henry what's going on with Simon as Barbara took a sip before Henry walked up to her after speaking with one of the employees...annoyed too by the way.
Henry - "Well that was almost unpleasant"
Barbara - "What was?"
Henry - "Silvia almost got into it with a customer over the order, accusing her of messing it up when she didn't, so BOTH Silvia and I had to put the customer in check"
Barbara - "Oh jeeze...is everything okay now?"
Henry - "Yes, the coast is clear but we don't need to worry about anything else for tonight Babs. I missed this place when we were gone, it gave us something else to do when we had nothing going on"
Barbara - "And so did I. I am glad Will made sure to keep an eye on the bar and that it was up to speed. He's got the experience of owning a bar, Will's not just a cop but also works at a bar in Carbondale"
Henry - "You make a good point there Babs. Maybe one day before Will and Gwen leave town for Carbondale we can invite them over for drinks at the Metro"
Barbara - "I don't see a problem with that. Hallie is going to have to be watched though. she can't be here but I am sure Casey and Alison or someone else can watch her since they're staying in Oakdale for the time being"
Henry - "At least they're not going to psychotic on your granddaughter like Iris the Dumbledoor"
Barbara smirked before taking another sip and Henry, looking at the bartender. He ordered another drink but felt a little shaky after what he said to his wife. But Barbara was glad that he brought her up, since it was time to talk about Hallie and most importantly, taking about Iris, something Henry wasn't going to like
Barbara - "It's a good thing you mentioned that old witch...we need to talk"
Henry was about to take a sip of his drink when it was ready but Barbara just had to say her name that ruined the moment for him. Did he do something wrong? Or did this have to do with another issue because Henry couldn't think of something going wrong
Henry - "Wait a minute...did you see Iris today? Did that idiot try and hurt you?"
Barbara - "No she didn't hurt me and NO...didn't see her...I called Gwen so that she can talk to her mother about us meeting"
Henry - "Meeting? Is it one on one?"
Barbara - "Yes, one on me, just me and her, no one else...just the two of us"
Henry - "The...the two of us? You...AND Iris?"
Barbara - "Yes"
Henry - "Are you out of your freaking mind Barbara Ryan Coleman!?"
Barbara knew people were going to hear them so she put her drink down and quickly shushed him. She didn't need everyone in Metro to know what's going on since at some point its common knowledge.
Barbara - "Calm down Henry...I know you're upset but I want to do this okay? The last thing we both need, Iris and I is our granddaughter seeing her grandmothers fight and argue like cats and dogs on rainy days"
Henry sighed.
Henry - "I get it Barbara, but what about Iris, what do you think she is going to do? She won't even take you seriously when she hears what you want"
Barbara - "Then it proves my point and others who don't believe she's changed. Not even my son Will believes her but he acknowledges she is trying, that's what he told me at Memorial when we came back"
Henry - "Well...damn it...if you are going to do this...go for it. If you guys are doing it here then fine, but I don't want a mess when things go south"
Barbara - "And you support me?"
Henry - "Yes...yes I do"
Barbara smiled before kissing her husband, but now she had to break the other bad news about Simon, something he wouldn't like to hear. Now this was the hard part for a wife to tell her husband, even if they had children and one of them was sick, Barbara would have a had time digesting it .
Barbara - "I'm glad you do. You have my word that I will do my best to make everything right...but there is something you need to know about...it's Simon"
Henry - "Simon? Why? What's wrong?"
Vienna - "Henry!"
Vienna ran into the Metro and immediately into Henry's arms to which Henry and Barbara did not see him coming. She has tears in her eyes and shook her head, like she was emotional or something or someone was bothering her.
Henry - "Vienna? Sow down, I thought that you were going to leave Oakdale tomorrow, what's going on?
Vienna - "There's been a change of plans Henry...it's about Simon...he's sick...he's got a brain tumor?"
Henry's entire face just turned right at the announcement of this news and he had nothing to say, nothing to do, but stand there in shock and silence. Barbara wasn't that shocked to hear about Simon, but coming from Vienna? Who the hell does she think she is of telling Henry the news? She had no right, she wasn't Henry's wife anymore, Barbara Ryan Coleman was and there would be hell unleashed for Vienna if she tried to keep being closer to Henry. But at the same time, Barbara couldn't be selfish and make some outburst to Vienna as she didn't like her husband getting into it with the ladies. Barbara wasn't jealous so to speak because at the end of the day she's got her man. But Vienna couldn't be trusted along with Henry so as he comforted Vienna, he looked at Barbara who had a sad look on her face, looking down. The news about Simon was sad, to where such a good man like Simon despite the secrets he had, didn't deserve this. No one in Oakdale didn't deserve this and now it looks as if Simon Fraser was going to pay the price for it. Damn it, why couldn't someone like Donovan Curry get it so we could all be rid of him? He was an evil person and the man would take sick pleasure into one of his enemies who's sick with brain tumor.
The two pairings that came into the Metro bar were Jack and Carly and Lily and Holden, as both of them were on a double date tonight. It was nice for all four of them to go out, settle down, have some drinks for tonight. Faith and Parker were working the night shifts so they couldn't join their parents but it was better since the two would obviously embarrass them and make fun of them, but not in a mean way, just teasing for fun. The past couple of weeks, for both couples' schedules has been hectic and crazy but at least they took their time to make this night happen. When they got out of their cars and approached the Metro bar, Vienna ran past them crying, obviously upset about something. Seeing her hug Henry and crying, Barbara motioned to them that they were fine. Jack and Carly and Lilly and Holden sat down at a table before a waitress came up to them and gave them menus for the orders. Looking at them, Carly couldn't help but grin a bit seeing Vienna and Henry talking, while Barbar, half sad, she was half annoyed that her husband was paying more attention to Vienna than Barbara. Carly suddenly felt a menu hitting her on the head thanks to her husband.
Carly - "Hey, what the hell was that for?"
Jack - "Looking at something which is none of your business dear. And don't even try to hide it or deny it"
Carly - "I was just...looking around Jack to see who else was here besides us, Henry, Barbara, and Vienna"
Jack laughs. Oh really? That's what Carly was doing as the man noticed his wife looking deep into the menu but really avoiding her husband which made him laugh.
Jack - "Yeah right...you were looking around"
Holden- "Snooping into someone else's business right?"
Carly - "Huh? Not you too Snyder"
Jack does a fist pump and smirks.
Jack - "Bullseye!"
Lily - "I got to admit Carly, my husband and Jack got your good on that one"
Carly - "Okay okay, yes I was looking at the three of them, hopefully Vienna is okay but if I was Barbara or Henry, I would watch out for her"
Lilly - "You make a good point. Vienna and Henry were together at one point before they called it quits, so who knows what could happen?"
Jack - "No one stays together that long when it comes to Oakdale, anything's possible"
Holden "I don't even want to figure out or remember the number of times Lilly and I made up, then broke up, too complicating"
Lilly - "That makes two of us"
Jack - "That's true cuz, but always remember, the love that two people have brings them together through the good and bad. Were living proof of that, all four of us guys"
Carly - "Yeah, you can say that but the pain...there's a lot or regret for the pain that we put against one another. Sometimes I ask myself, what the hell we were thinking?
Jack - "The mistakes, the choices we made, I regret some of those"
Carly - "Like marrying Katie?"
Jack chuckled and scoffed at that
Jack - "Oh my god Carly, don't even remind me of that. It was the worst decision I have EVER made in my life, despite Katie and I being good friends that is"
Holden - "And look what happened after that...you and Carly got back together Jack. I knew it would happen eventually"
Lilly - "So did I. I mean come on, how many times can you two NOT get back together? Jack and Carly over here are soul males Holden, did you know that?"
Holden - "I sure did...just like we are too right?"
Lily and Holden smirked before they leaned in to kiss each other.
Carly - "Awww...the two lovebirds together at last"
Jack - "Aren't they so adorable?"
Carly - "Yeah yeah yeah, cut out the mushy stuff please...get a room"
Lilly - "Who the heck is that guy?"
Ripley Wells comes into the Metro Bar as he looks around, immediately noticing a couple of people especially two of them in Barbara and Lilly.
Carly - "That's Wells, the man I told you about Lilly at the Hughes BBQ"
Holden - "Huh? Who's he?"
Lilly - "One of the people in the running to take the company public for Worldwide Industries"
Jack - "That's him huh? Doesn't look that intimidating"
Carly - "Don't get too cocky Snyder, he doesn't look intimidated by anyone"
Ripley, deciding on who he gets to see first, starts to walk up to Lilly's table but decides to go to a table of his own.
Carly - "Well...that was close"
Ripley, who after sits at the table gets a menu from the waiter takes a look at what is on the menu, then tells the waiter what he wants to tonight. The four of them including Lilly was watching him as she got this strange vibe that the man was still looking into more of the people for Oakdale. Lilly didn't care what he wanted to do but going after his family was a big no no to her, the same goes for Holden, Jack, and Carly. Carly still was waiting for some info on the guy but she wasn't in any kind of rush, as this man was still fresh to many in Oakdale. He wasn't perfect and neither was he clean but at the same time, no one else was in this world, so the man had to have something damaging. Lilly didn't care that much about him but she would be dammed if someone tried to take the company in an illegal way. She could sue him for everything he has but the man had to have someone in his pocket who can make it all go away, then Lilly wouldn't have anything. Jack and Holden were not liking the fact that this man was coming in and out as he pleases, almost presenting a threat to everyone in Oakdale...they would have to keep their eyes on him from now on.
Coming next into Metro Bar was Craig Montgomery, as he immediately finds a table and sits down before taking out his cell phone. Checking his messages, the waiter comes up to him and gives Craig the men. He asked Craig if he wanted something to drink for starters and appetizers, as he replied to have a scotch on the rocks. The waiter left and went to the back as Craig looked up to see Barbara, Henry, Vienna, Carly, Jack, Lilly, and Holden who were here too. So the gang's all here, well ALMOST here as the rest were just regular folks. Sometimes it was better that way to not have everyone that Craig knew in Oakdale at the Metro since something bad always happens. The man knew this and has been a part of many events while most of them were good, some were just bad for him, where he got exposed for the crimes he committed. Nowadays, Craig was staying out of trouble and making sure that his children who lived in different parts of the word except for those who live here in Oakdale, are taken care of so he can be there for them. Rosanna has been a great big help for Craig and the children. Despite the two of them still on platonic terms, Craig lately is fond of the blonde as he noticed her come in.
Craig - "Well well well...look what Oakdale dragged in"
Rosanna, who was dressed in a blouse and black slacks, along with black high heels along with cherry red that covered her licks, came into the bar . She immediately noticed Craig's voice, and noticed where he was sitting as she grinned.
Rosanna - "I'm surprised to see you here tonight Craig. I take it the boss is having the night off?"
Craig - "Why yes. The company I own runs itself while I am gone, hopefully no one breaks in and steals anything. What brings you here tonight?"
Rosanna - "Nothing, just planning on having a drink and maybe say hello to a couple of people. Were almost at a full house tonight"
Craig - "Yes, the first half is people we know and the rest our strangers...the ones I don't deal with. But for you...I don't mind dealing with Rosanna Cabot any time...so please...join me
Rosanna smirked and shook her head before sitting down at the table. She puts her purse next to her and on the table so no one steals it.
Rosanna - "Don't mind if I do...did you speak to the others that we both know of?"
Craig - "No...they're occupied at the moment and by interrupting them they'll tell me the screw off"
Rosanna - "They won't Craig, I am sure they wouldn't mind your hospitality"
Craig chuckled and shook his head. More like they would slap him and maybe throw a drink at him.
Craig - "My hospitality? The one where I tell each of them off for the crap that they committed over the years? That is unless if they decided to judge me...including Carly...and Barbara too...including the horny man in Henry Coleman"
Craig chuckled as Rosanna rolled her eyes. And there went Craig again with the insults and cheap shots but it was classic Craig Montgomery.
Rosanna - "Craig, remember what we talked about? It's not always good to be throwing out the insults at people you've hurt over the years"
Craig - "And does that give people a right to judge me? Or even you? Hell, most of these hypocrites in this town like I said before have their own baggage...baggage that shouldn't be hidden"
Rosanna arched her eyebrow.
Rosanna - "How about yours then Craig? There's a lot you did in the past too"
The waiter came back with Craig's order before asking him if Rosanna was joining him. Craig nodded and the waiter gave Rosanna a menu to look at before he left.
Craig - "And a lot of pain I also caused as well...right?
Rosanna - "Yes"
Craig - "What can I say Rosanna? I am not perfect but neither is the rest of this town, they've got skeletons in their closet"
Rosanna - "Fair point? Moving on, how are the children?"
Craig - "All of them are doing well? Johnny is spending the night at a friend's house so he's taken care of. Lilly on the other hand is in Montego with her mother. The last time we spoke she told me she is studying to be a nurse"
Rosanna smiled. She knew he loved his kids despite the tough times they all had with him in the past but at least now most of them were in a good place with Craig.
Rosanna - "That's great news about Lucy. How is her mother?"
Craig - "You mean one of my ex-wives? Sierra is in good spirits and focused on helping her country succeed"
Rosanna - "What about Gabriel?"
Craig - "I am making inroads on that as we speak. His mother and I are communicating, even in discussions of what's best for the child"
Rosanna - "Good, after all of these years Craig you deserve to be happy"
Craig - "And so do you Rosanna, any hot guys you're dating?"
Rosanna narrowed her eyes in a mysterious way.
Rosanna - "And why are you asking?"
Craig shrugged his shoulders.
Craig - "Just asking"
Lucy - "Maybe you want Rosanna all to yourself"
Craig and Rosanna Looked up to see Lucy Montgomery who smiles at her dad and the blonde. The man wasn't expecting to see her daughter tonight at the Metro out of all places in the town.
Craig - "Lucy?"
Lucy - *Smiles* "You bet"
Craig immediately got up and hugged his daughter, glad to see her and glad to know she was safe. Her coming back to Oakdale was the best decision she made but he wondered how long she was staying this time. Her mother had to know of Lucy's return to Oakdale but she probably didn't want to bombard Craig with enough things on his plate this time around. Craig and Sierra had a long history together and while at one point things were good, it immediately went downhill when the two of them broke up all because of Craig and what he did back then. The good thing about this was that Lucy grew up into the woman she is today. She has both of her parents DNA and wasn't the kind of pushover you expect. Heck, Craig wasn't a pushover, he'll get what he wants but minute you mess with the people he loves, you're done for. Lucy, while she is glad to see her father, she was glad that she left Montego for the time being. Oakdale was a better town where the people were nice, as they didn't know what was going on the country of Montego.
Barbara wasn't showing it, watching Henry comforted an emotional Vienna while taking a sip of her drink, but she was damn near annoyed. Vienna wasn't supposed to come up in here and spill the news to Henry about Simon's brain tumor. It was supposed to be Barbara telling Henry the news, but Vienna couldn't wait to go up in the Metro and give the news to Henry. Henry couldn't believe that one of his best friends was sick and on the verge of dying, but it couldn't be true for Henry. Simon was a strong, healthy and fit man who would make sure that he keeps him clean from any toxins that he encounters, but this...this felt like the end of the road for Simon Fraser. Just when things were on the up and up for everyone after coming back from Avaynna, now this happens. When would the sadness end? Shouldn't everyone else be happy and enjoy the rest of their lives? Simon didn't deserve this brain tumor, no one did and the fact that he is learning this now made him upset, angry, and even sad. Henry moved to the side so that Vienna can sit down on the stool chairs and calm herself which she does very slowly. Barbara puts her hand on Henry's shoulder, as he sits down on one of the stool chairs next to the counter.
Henry - "So Simon has a brain tumor? That's what he told you?"
Vienna sadly nods her head before rubbing her eyes. She wasn't lying or holding anything back, she was telling the truth.
Vienna - "Yes, I saw him today at the park Henry, you should have seen him. He was just sitting by himself, looking out into the sky like he was lost...just...just sad. Simon looked scared and uncertain of what to do"
Barbara - "I'm so sorry Henry you have to hear this"
Henry shook his head and waved his hands. All of this was happening too fast, the man had to make sure that he doesn't miss out on anything that's being said.
Henry - "Wait a minute, just...hold on...Vienna, is there any treatment for this brain tumor"
Vienna - "Yes there is...but it may not mean anything Henry"
Henry was confused when Vienna told him that, and he didn't understand. Barbara noticed it too and immediately thought of the worse. But what was she not telling him? Henry didn't like it when someone was holding back on the importance of those that matter to him , like Simon for instance
Henry - "What are you talking about?"
Vienna - "Henry..."
Henry - "Vienna...just...just please tell me. We've both known Simon for a long time, I think I deserve the truth don't you think?"
Vienna - "Alright...you won't like what I say next"
Henry - "Just tell me Vienna...please"
Barbara - "Relax Henry...just listen to her"
Vienna - "Simon has...he's got six to seven months to live if the treatment doesn't work"
Henry's mouth dropped and closed his eyes, wishing this wasn't true. First his friend has a brain tumor and second, he only had seven months to live? The crown jewels felt like they were getting smashed by a sledgehammer, something he didn't see coming with this announcement from Vienna that felt so sudden. Barbara was already told by Kim about this but it still made her sad that someone was slowly suffering before it's all said and done.
Henry - "Six to seven months to live? That can't be possible...he doesn't have more time to live on this Earth? This...this isn't fair"
Vienna - "I know Henry...I am so so sorry"
Henry started to seethe with anger before he slammed his fist on the counter. Barbara made sure any glasses nearby didn't fall as Henry started to cry. Henry never meant to do anything like what he did but at the end of the day a man's life was going to end.
Barbara - "Henry be careful!"
Henry - "Damn it!"
Barbara puts her arm around Henry and kisses him on the side of his lips, seeing the pain on his face from everything he heard so far. She was wiping any tears he had on his face, hating to see the pain and sadness all over his face.
Barbara - "It's okay Henry, Simon's strong, he's going to take this head on. You, Vienna and I...we all know Simon's got this"
Henry - "No he isn't! He's done for Babs, my best friend is suffering and there's nothing we can do to save him!"
Vienna - "Henry's right...Simon's done for"
Barbara - "Oh listen to the two of you! If Simon was here right now he would slap you both, seeing his two friends talking like that. He would want you two to be supportive and uplifting, that's what he needs right now"
Henry - "You...you're right Barbara...this just hurts. Simon doesn't deserve this, he's such a good man. I mean yes, he's got his mistakes but look at us, were the other screw ups"
Barbara - "I know Henry, I know...but the only thing right now he can do is fight right now for his life. He needs you, Katie, Vienna and others to support him, be strong...that goes for you too Vienna"
Vienna - "She is right Henry, the man deserves so much more than our pity party"
Henry - "This calls for a toast...bartender!"
The bartender immediately comes to Henry who tells them to make three drinks for them which he does. Once the bartender is finished, he gives them to Henry, who give two drinks to Vienna and Barbara.
Henry - "Let's dedicate a toast tonight to Simon Fraser, one of the best man I have ever know. Let's hope he kicks this brain tumors ass"
Barbara - "Here here"
Vienna - "I'll toast to that"
The three of them toast at the same time and drink what Henry ordered, and boy did they needed it so much. The life of one person like Simon Fraser was something to not take for granted. Henry was nervous though and he hated death, hell, if anything happened to Barbara the man would be crushed, like he still is despite that little pep talk his wife gave a couple of minutes ago. This is why he was so glad, so thankful and grateful to have the people in his life including his sweet, fiery and passionate Barbara Ryan Coleman. She deserved to have everything in her life, to be happy most of all, so Henry was glad to give Barbara that kind of life despite the good and the bad. Vienna, after finishing her drink looks over at Henry briefly, as she noticed how handsome Henry looked when he was sad. Those cheeks of his were so touchable and so cute when she would wiped them away when they cuddled on the couch to watch a movie. Vienna could not think like that, not when she had someone like Barbara on her toes, she was going to be watching her every single move.
Finishing her drink, Barbara decided to let Henry process the news of Simon's brain tumor. So she told her that he'll handle things from here on out until he was ready. Barbara just wasn't trustworthy of Vienna, and who could blame her? Vienna will just stick her fangs into Henry's neck so that he'll fall in love with her over Barbara, but the elder woman couldn't think like that. Her and Henry should be rock solid but Barbara couldn't stop thinking of what Vienna could do. Giving the glass back to the bartender, Barbara walked away and checked on waiters, including the customers for the evening as she looked back. She was seeing Vienna comforting Henry with the woman's hand on his shoulder. Barbara didn't like it but this wasn't the time to start an argument with Vienna since Henry would explode on BOTH of them and rightfully so. Even Ripley who was watching all of this knew something was going on as he smirked.. She'll wait until Vienna makes a move on her husband and then kick her out of Oakdale on a one way ticket Where? Well wherever Vienna lives in Sweden. Barbara, after talking to the customers at the last table, she approaches Carly, Jack, Lilly and Holden.
Barbara - "Hey you guys, how's everything over here? Everything good?"
Jack - "Were good here Barbara, thanks for asking. Hopefully the other customers aren't giving you and Henry are hard time"
Barbara - "Nah, they're not, it's just business as usual here at the Meto. It's good to feel alive once again to be here in front of actual people"
Lilly - "I don't blame you one bit Barbara. You and the others on that island, it must have been hell of Earth"
Barbara - "Yes it was, but at least I am glad to be out of there and home with the people I know best including you guys"
Carly - "Does that include the brunette who's next to your husband?"
Barbara - "Who?"
Carly - "You know who I am talking about?"
Barbara sighed and gave up, knowing Carly would prove Barbara wrong all night. The others saw Vienna, something they would never expect to see after she left a long time ago. Barbara had to give Carly credit, she was like a bull in a china shop as she wouldn't stop until Carly Snyder got what she wanted.
Lilly - "That's...that's...Vienna Hyatt?"
Barbara - *Mutters* "Unfortunately"
Holden - "When did she get back?"
Jack - "She didn't get back...Donovan was the one who took her before all of the mess he created took off. Vienna came earlier in the week and gave her statement to me after she checked out of Memorial. Poor thing still looked shaken a bit even when Donovan took her away from her home"
Carly - "And now that Vienna is back on her feet, it looks like she'll be pinning for someone else at the moment"
Carly takes a sip of her drink in a very intriguing way as Barbara looks back at Henry and Vienna. Barbara glares at the sight of Vienna laying her head on Henry's shoulder, but she reminded herself not to do anything.
Barbara - *Clenches her teeth* "And I am not going to let that happen...you can count on that"
Holden - "Does she even have anywhere else to go?"
Jack - "She lives in Sweden but that's all I know Holden"
Lilly - "Did something happen just now between you and Henry?"
Barbara - "It's nothing like that Lilly...it's Simon...Simon has a brain tumor"
Jack, Carly, Lily and Holden were all stunned to hear about Simon Fraser. A brain tumor? How was that possible? Even Carly choked on her drink when Barbara told them as Jack made sure she was okay. The man she was in a relationship at one point in her life when Jack wasn't in the picture, and he was dying?
Jack - "Easy Carly, you alright?"
Carly - "Yes Jack yes...I am fine but...you...you said he has a brain tumor?"
Barbara - "Yeah...when we came back from that crappy island, Simon fainted at the hospital so he was tested. The man was tested and Susan told him he has a brain tumor...he may not have that much time to live"
Lilly - "How much time does he have?"
Barbara - "Six to seven months"
Holden - "Six to Seven months?"
Barbara - "Yep...sucks doesn't it...we all come back from that crap hole and then all the sudden one of them doesn't have enough time to live"
Carly - "This is unfair...this can't be happening to Simon"
Barbara - "Well it is Carly...it is"
Lilly - "Is there any chemotherapy or treatment for this?"
Barbara - "Yes but it may not be enough...hopefully it is"
Carly couldn't believe what she was hearing as tears were threatening to spill from her eyes. Carly immediately gets up from the table and goes straight to the ladies bathroom, she couldn't handle all of this crap anymore.
Jack - "Oh shoot Carly!"
Barbara - "She may need some time alone to process something like this. It won't be easy"
Jack - "I know Barbara but she needs me. I'll just wait outside until she comes out"
Jack gets up from the table and goes to the woman's bathroom but waits outside for his wife. Hopefully she'll be okay and not all in pieces from the news Barbara told them. If this was Jack the woman wouldn't have survived, her entire world would come crashing down.
Barbara - "I'll be making my rounds but if you guys ever need anything from me, talk to one of the waiters or waitresses okay?"
Lilly - "Of course Barbara, thank you for telling us"
Holden - "Thanks Barbara"
Lilly and Holden didn't say anything, they just held hands before closing their eyes. They were saying a prayer for Simon and hopefully he can kick the brain tumor's ass. If any of Jack and Carly & Holden and Lilly's children had a brain tumor or cancer, they would be scared out of their freaking lives. No one deserved to his a brain tumor where you don't have a chance to fight, but everyone knows you can't do nothing, you have to fight this and they knew Simon was going to fight it. A sickness is horrible but it can be cured, as long as you go through the process and commit your time to look after your health. As Jack waited outside of the woman's bathroom, he saw Carly comes back out and immediately is in Jack's arms. The man hugs his wife, comforting her and not giving a damn what anyone else thought. Ripley, despite still not knowing what's going on but he loved seeing the drama unfold. Some of them enjoyed the drama but the others were weak, one of them in the lovely brunette in Vienna. Maybe Ripley could use her in order to spice up some drama? Who knows?
Letting go of Lucy, Craig smiled and was glad that his daughter was back in town, something he didn't see coming. Lucy and Craig have had their issues as father and daughter in the past, as Lucy felt she needed her father more when she was having her own issues. Craig wished he could have been more involved in Lucy's life growing up but it was obvious that Sierra felt Craig didn't deserve to be in Lucy's life based on the way Craig made his decisions. Even when he wanted to take a chance on Lucy and step in, either two things got in the way, his ego and the mistakes he made as a parent. But ten years ago they were able to make amends and move forward. Still to this very day they were in contact with each other but to see her in the flesh, to see her here made him happy. These two have had a rocky past as father and daughter but the past was the past, the only thing Craig did was made sure that his daughter was taken care of, even if she was an adult. There was something about fathers being protective of their children, especially when it comes to the man's girls.
Craig - "I can't believe this is all but possible...you're here...in Oakdale that is"
Lucy - "Of course dad, do you think I would be anywhere else right now?"
Craig - "What about Montego? Are you here for a visit?"
Lucy - "Yeah dad, who else would I see right now...I hope I didn't interrupt anything between you and Rosanna?"
Rosanna - *Smiles* "No you're not Lucy, it's good to have you back"
Rosanna and Lucy hug each other. The two women had no ill will toward one another as Rosanna made sure her father was kept in line at times, even when she made sure the man was focused on something very important.
Lucy - "Thanks Rosanna, I see that you've been keeping my father very busy"
Craig - "Don't hold your breath kid, were not together if that's what you meant"
Lucky smirked and shook her head. Her father could deny it all he wanted too, but Lucy felt like Craig deserved to have his own happiness, so did Rosanna. If the two of them somehow were in a relationship then that would make Lucy happy...very happy along with their children.
Lucy - "Well...anything is possible right? But anyway, I am thirsty since my throat is parched, I could use a strong one"
Craig - "It's on me...hold on"
Craig waves for a waiter or waitress as a waiter walks up to them. His daughter deserved to have the best drink on the house and Craig would make sure of that.
Craig - "Get whatever this lady wants for a drink please"
Lucy tells the waiter which drink she wants as the waiter leaves so that it can be made. Lucy loved a lot of flavors but she wasn't a heavy drinker at all, and that's a good thing.
Lucy - "Aaaah...it feels like the Metro never changed at all the last time I was here. Barbara and Henry still own this place?"
Craig - "Yes they still do surprisingly, I thought the Metro would fall right underneath their own faces"
Rosanna - "Really Craig?"
Craig shrugged his shoulders. What did Rosanna expect? The man was just being honest and not holding back, Lucy wasn't even surprised when her father said that. She knew the man wasn't perfect but at least he didn't hold back or pull away from something.
Craig - "What? Is it wrong for me to think that Barbara and Henry were not going to get the job done? Those two have personalities that don't mesh together despite the two as husband and wife"
Barbara - "Did someone say my name?"
Barbara left the last table and came to Craig's tables with the ladies after she heard the last of what he told them. Barbara had a lot of good hearing and she wasn't dumb, she would pick Craig by the ear and demand the truth...if only it was that easy.
Barbara - "Hello Lucy, welcome back to Oakdale...this is a surprise"
Lucy - "Thank you Barbara, I just got back"
Barbara - "Well again, welcome back to Oakdale. Hopefully you're stay here will be pleasant without the drama"
Lucy - "We'll see about that but at least so far I don't have to deal with it"
Craig - "And if anyone hurts her, they'll answer to me"
Lucy rolled her eyes and chuckled. And there was her dad being protective of her again, but it wasn't needed no matter how many times he does it. The man was like a big teddy bear who wore his emotions on his sleeve during different moments.
Lucy - "Relax dad, I can handle myself"
Craig - "Keep telling yourself that. Oh and Barbara if you haven't noticed the lovely Vienna Hyatt who is next to your husband"
Barbara - "Don't remind me Montgomery...she's been here the past couple of minutes. Actually when Donovan kidnapped her, throw her on the island, then she comes back here when we saved her ass. Now she is near my husband...oh boy"
Rosanna - "Seriously Craig, you're bringing her into this? Sometimes you can be petty at times for crying out loud"
Craig - "I am just observing..."
Lucy - "You mean MORE than observing dad? Come on, you can't fool any of us"
Barbara - "Anyway...she told me and Henry the bad news...Simon has a brain tumor"
Rosanna - "He has a what?"
Barbara - "A brain tumor"
Craig - "You have to be kidding me"
Barbara - "He only has six to seven months to live"
Lucy - "Wow, that feels so...so harsh"
Barbara - "It is...enjoy the rest of your night. If you have any trouble just let me or one of my staff know and we'll be there, have a good night. It was good to see you Lucy"
Shaking her head, the co-owner of the Metro leave the three at the table by themselves as they were stunned from what Barbara said to them. Craig didn't care that much about Simon, he thought he was a bad influence on the part of his sister Katie back then and even now that the man was back. But there is also not seeing any pleasure from those who die, even if it's someone like Simon Fraser. Maybe Craig could get Simon the best help but the young man may refuse Craig's help since he'll think that it'll be legal...which will not be the case. Then there was Rosanna, someone who didn't like to see death or those that she cared about die. Rosanna had nothing negative to say when it came to Simon as she has bumped into him the past couple of times he has been in town. The man was such a sweetheart and a handsome man who didn't deserve this. Lucy felt her cell phone notifying her before looking it out and noticing a text message from a Caller ID that was unknown. It had the text message 'Were Coming For You' which almost had Lucy terrified even if she wasn't showing it. She puts her cell phone away and sips on her drink before enjoying the rest of her time with Craig and Rosanna.
