A/N: Well, this is it. This is the chapter that the Flood will make an impact to the group except the monitor. Also, there won't be any nightmare chapters, I repeated it two times already, but I have to repeat myself just in case if anyone is asking for it.

Another note is that this is the mission that I had a nightmare on from when I was young. This really traumatized me and I hope that it will do the same to Night Raid.

P.S. I also want to thank ExabliburShooter for the opening of the chapter.

Disclaimer: I do not own Akame ga Kiru and Halo. They belong to their rightful and respectful owners.

Before the level begins, Dorothea notices how oddly quiet Delta has been all of a sudden. So she decides to talk to her quietly. "What's wrong, Delta?"

"Oh, it's nothing… it's just that they are going to see something very scary this level…. Something even Esdeath will be terrified of…"

"Wha… what is it?" Dorothea asked as she felt a small uncontrollable shiver because Delta seemed to be afraid and that there could be some something even the sadistic Ice Queen could be scared of.

Delta inched closer to Dorothea's right ear, to which Akame, Run, Cosmina and Najenda noticed but they couldn't hear what she was saying. " Something horrifying that goes beyond human conception of life. Imagine your worst nightmares taking on a more deformed physical form but with a terrifying presence older than the universe itself. That is what they will be encountering."

Dorothea was visibly trembling with uncertain fear before Delta Contingent said, "Don't say anything to them yet. They will soon find out for themselves Reclaimer." Dorothea nodded and returned her attention on the loading screen calming herself down.

Well Enough Alone

(Cutscene)

The view flies over a group of Kig-Yar and Unggoy running through a swamp, panicky and obviously in retreat.

"What are they running from and why are they running and where are the Elites? They usually accompany the grunts and jackals?" Wave said as he was getting a bad feeling about this since none of this is making normal sense already.

"Beats me perhaps Keyes' team routed them or whatever the hell is going on here is making them flee." Mine replied.

"Perhaps it's whatever it is the Forerunners have stashed here, and whatever it is be it a beast, machine, or weapon I can assure you I will prove that I am the strongest and it will fall by my hand." Esdeath said with a smirk of a sadist.

"Aw arrogance and stupidity all in the same package, how efficient of you." A new voice that was male said all of sudden as if it was directed to Esdeath's comment.

"Who dares say that to me?!" Esdeath yelled looking around. All of Night Raid except the Monitor curiously were on edge holding on their weapons for an intruder.

"I only hope that in your stumbling around you do not wake the dragon. Good day." The voice continued followed by the sound of a door opening and then closing.

They all got up and paused the game exiting the room Dorothea, Cosmina, and Sheele were the last ones to get out before Dorothea noticed the Monitor didn't move but was quietly giggling, she was suspicious she may have done something.

"Was that you?" Dorothea asked.

Delta looked up and then tilted her floating sphere "Hmm?" Feigning ignorance.

"Were you the one that did that voice?" Dorothea pressed.

"Maybe" she said laughing.

"How you do that and why?" Dorothea asked.

"Oh I'll tell you and when you find out you'll going to laugh reclaimer." She told her that she played a clip of a scene off of a movie based on a late 20th century sci fi tv show called Babylon 5 recorded in the Archive and how she thought of messing with the Ice Queen without being noticed. They both start laughing with Dorothea running out of breath.

"Wow that was unexpected!" Dorothea said while breathing in trying to compose herself.

"Indeed it was, Reclaimer." Delta agreed.

"Is it alright if I tell Cosmina or Najenda about this I think they will laugh a lot as well?" Dorothea asked as a single teardrop came out of her eye.

"Affirmative Reclaimer just make sure they know how to keep a secret." Delta responded cheerfully. With that they just sat down relaxing waiting for the others to eventually return. Delta was happy she could annoy the sadist once in a while and get away with it.

Night Raid began frantically looking around the base for the suppose intruder for a good 20 minutes but ended up finding nothing. They eventually return back to the Death Battle room wondering who the heck said that and Esdeath looked pretty angry as she felt humiliated. Dorothea manage to keep herself composed barely and Delta was just floating there satisfied.

{The game unpauses as everyone returns.}

As it pans over them, the outline of a Pelican dropship can be seen through the fog and rain, which further materializes as the view draws closer.

Flight Captain Carol RawleyCOM: "The last transmission from the Captain's dropship was from this area. That was over twelve hours ago."

"Twelve hours?! Now something bad must've definitely happened!" Tatsumi exclaimed.

"If the highest ranking officer had been missing for twelve hours, why didn't they send scouts to check what happened and report back the threat?!" Najenda said infuriated that something like this would happen. To their own captain as well so soon. Contingency plans should have been set up.

"Perhaps they did and they went missing too." Delta countered to be a bit fair.

{Gameplay}

RawleyCOM: "When you locate Captain Keyes, radio in, and I'll come pick you up."

And with that Tatsumi, Wave, Esdeath, and Mine begin advancing through the foggy forest as mysterious suspenseful music begins playing sending Goosebumps to those playing and watching the game. Even Esdeath's nasty Danger Beast blood is reacting a little bit more fearful then before which Esdeath just ignores.

They make their way through cutting down Grunts and Jackals which mysteriously don't have any elites with them. Which makes the atmosphere further dreading because it's too easy. They stumble across a crashed Covenant dropship with explosion nearby a group of deceased grunts and jackals.

"What the hell was that?!" Wave exclaimed. They look around and no new contacts.

They then inspect the scene and find a crashed Pelican as well with a radio still broadcasting:

Dropship Victor 933's Pilot (Recording): "Dropship Victor 933-(static)-Pillar of Autumn-(static)-need assistance. We are under att-(static)-attack by some new kind of hostile-(static)-isn't Covenant. (Static) Captain Keyes has been captured by hostiles. (static) -dug in at a large structure in a swamp-(static)-We need to pull out. Please-(static)-I will set this message to repeat at-(static)-regular intervals. Dropship Victor 933, clear."

"Oh my God... what the hell happened?" Wave said as he listened to the broadcast.

"I don't know, but I think it's safe to say Keyes' investigation team did not do whatever the hell happened to the other dropship." Tatsumi replied as he heard about this new hostile from the radio looking around ready to pull the trigger.

"I wouldn't be too sure of that yet. Let's keep moving, whoever this new hostile is they must be dangerous." Mine said with Esdeath behind her.

"This is getting strange." Esdeath said in her head. Who and what was this new enemy? She wanted to fight them but her Danger Beast blood was sending warning signs to her body to not engage this new threat and she didn't know why and she hated that feeling of fear.

They clear a couple of Jackals and move up a torn down tree that fell. As they move forward, Chelsea who is sitting right by Tatsumi notices something.

"Wait a minute something's not right." She said. Taking her lollipop out of her mouth.

"What?" Tatsumi asked.

"Tatsumi darling, look at your motion tracker." She said pointing at the motion tracker.

Tatsumi and the other players look at their helmets' motion trackers and sees multiple supposive friendly yellow dots that says they are surrounded by.

"What the hell...?" Tatsumi said quietly disturbed.

Mine, Esdeath, and Wave look around them but they don't see much because of how dense the fog is.

As Wave looked across the other side of the small ravine, Akame notices a shadowy silhouette on the high ground of the ravine watching them...silently.

"Wave look up!" She said and everyone then sees the illusive shadowy figure and his features.

"A marine!" Leone exclaimed.

"Why in the world is he just there watching us?!" Lubbock said.

"Something's off..." Mez said nervous because this was just getting creepy.

As soon as all four players look up the cliff the shadowy figure along with several others, run into the deep fog upon being noticed.

"Hey! Wait where you guys going!" Wave yelled.

"Get back here!" Mine exclaimed as she tries to zoom into the fog to see where they went.

"It's too late. They're gone." Esdeath said on edge now as this was NOT normal even for survivors of a bloody battle to act.

Tatsumi was just dumbfounded that the marines or what he thought were marines would just run away from the Master Chief like that.

Seryu was getting more and more nervous each minute while hugging Koro in fear, as she is moving her knees to her chest.

When they reach the other side, they hear assault rifle fire nearby.

"Those have got to be friendlies let's find them and figure out what's happening." Tatsumi said.

They investigate and see a mob of Unggoy and Kig-Yar fleeing from a large entrance. A frag grenade explosion throws a Shade turret through the air.

"Whoa! they sure are showing the Covenant hell!" Leone said enjoying the Marines beating the Covenant.

"I don't believe those were Marines..." Najenda said because there were no marines who were alive encountered yet and the ones seen ran into the fog suspiciously. And this new enemy... was really making her on edge. This feeling of fear was even starting to surpass that time when Esdeath ambushed her and cut her off her right arm and eye. Whoever this enemy was, they didn't want to reveal themselves...

Yet.

The fleeing Covenant regroup nearby and attack them out of fear. They kill the Covenant and hurries to the entrance, but finds no one there.

"The heck?! There's no one here!" Mine said. How could a group of marines just vanish so quickly when they cleared that group of Grunts and Jackals under 30 seconds?!

"Well we won't find out until we go further in." Esdeath said entering the old facility.

"I feel like we are entering into a hornet's nest or something like that..." Tatsumi said looking around.

"I have the same feeling." Wave replied.

"Let's go" the pink hair said.

A lift arrives for them and they take the lift down into the depths of the structure.

Not knowing the ancient horrors that awaits inside...

Tatsumi, Wave, Esdeath, and Mine's descent into the facility stops and they get off the elevator and everything is quiet, not a sound, not even music just ambient silence. Everyone is on edge because whatever is happening it has something to do with this new enemy they heard from the crashed pelican. Tatsumi notices two Covenant shields that are curiously pointed 'towards' the two entrance ways. They find another group of grunts and jackals without an elite cowering in a choke point and quickly eliminate them.

They enter through the entrance into a big room with two floors with only a few grunts and jackals at the bottom guarding an entrance which they eliminate. They enter the second room and see four jackals guarding a doorway. Mine decides to be tactical and throws a frag grenade in the middle of the group. It explodes killing all but one of them. Tatsumi follows up by shooting the last jackal.

"Nice throw Mine." Tatsumi said.

"Thanks I am quite the genius!" Mine stated proudly.

"And you're not a bad shot too my love." Esdeath said surprising them with a smile while hugging Tatsumi tightly. Chelsea and Mine meanwhile were just giving her a death glare.

"Uhh guys..." Wave said nervously as he entered the door and found the first Elite body throughout the entire level so far.

Esdeath let go of Tatsumi and returns back to the controller. They inspect the dead Elite all torn apart with Sangheili blood all over the walls. They investigate further and find a closed off barricaded room with dead Covenant grunt and jackals.

And yet no elites.

"Geez who or 'what' did that"? Leone asked a little frightened about it.

"Whatever it was, it must been incredibly strong." Esdeath replied.

"Wait a minute, what's that greenish yellow liquid dripping from the ceiling?" Stylish asked as he noticed it.

"Ugh gross, I don't think I want to know what it is." Leone said in disgust.

"Something extremely dangerous most likely." Akame replied scanning the room.

"We're definitely going to need something more potent than hand sanitizer for this." Susanoo said as he looked at the liquid with disgust.

They passed through another empty room with empty shade turrets, and even find needler ammo for the first time. Mine thinking it may be important decides to pick one up and so does Tatsumi. They find the entrance and enter another hallway section.

All of a sudden they hear glass shattering and they were about to enter the next room then-

*BANG BANG BANG*

"Oh crap!" Tatsumi yelled as he runs to cover.

"What the!" Leone and Mine said.

A lone crazed Marine leaning against a wall with a M6D magnum starts shooting at them screaming at the top of his lungs.

Crazed Marine: "Stay back! Stay back, you're not turning me into one of those things!"

"You...hurt...Tatsumi..." Esdeath said with malice ready to kill the marine right now.

"Wait please calm down Esdeath don't kill him!" Tatsumi exclaimed.

"I'll blow your brains out! Get away from me!"

"Gaaaaahh! Aaaaaahh!"

"Calm down? what the hell happened to you!" Leone said. Night Raid were just shocked at how terrified this marine was and decided to only listen to what he was saying with the players keeping their distance.

"Don't touch me, you freaks! I won't be like you, I'll die first! Find your own hiding place, the monsters are everywhere!"

"Ma...monsters...?" Seryu said whimpering. Sheele began leaning on Run because she was afraid of whatever happened.

"Play dead! That's what I did...played dead. They took the live ones... Oh God, I can still hear them!"

"You...abandoned your comrades...?" Kurome said sadly.

Akame looked at this Marine with sorrow and her usual stoic look was replaced with shock.

(sobbing) "Monsters... Ahhhhhh! Ahhhhaaahhh..."

"Just leave me alone!"

"Sarge? Mendoza? Bisenti? Oh God...the things took them. Away, away, away, they went away... (mumbles and cries) They're gone! Get it? Gone!"

"They won't get me! Oh God... Oh God, I don't want to be like them. Please, please no, nooo..."

"Okay, I think that this mission will freak us out." Lubbock gulped.

"Yeah, no kidding." Tatsumi agreed.

The others leave him, and finds a way to the second floor. An Assault Rifle lies on the ground, pointing like an arrow towards the entrance of a room marked with ominous red Forerunner glyphs. The door appears to have been forced open. The four goes in, passes a dead Marine, and walks down a ramp

"Finally a dead body." Tatsumi breathed.

"Hm, something isn't right." Najenda realised. While the others were becoming too sceptical, Delta was just staring at the screen without making a sound.

She knew that this is the mission that will change their view on the Halo ring. She would have to explain the origins of the Flood to the others.

As they come down one of two ramps on either side of a door which has been recently opened by a UNSC spoofer.

(Cutscene)

John-117 approaches the door cautiously and listens for any movement inside. Just as he was going to type a command into the spoofer, there is a noise behind him. He turns around, gun ready to shoot, but sees nothing.

Many of them began to feel a dread of air in their surroundings. While the monitor just looked at the screen.

"Wha…what was that?" Seyru fearfully asked.

"You're about to find out." Delta spoke up in a calm manner.

After a moment, he turns back to the door, places his gun on his shoulder and opens the door. When it opens, a dead Marine falls into his arms.

"Jesus!" Cosmina jumped as she saw the body.

"That was scary." Lubbock admitted as he saw beginning to get scared.

He advances a few paces, places the body on the floor gently while making sure nobody follows him through. He sweeps his Assault Rifle about the room. The floor is covered in blood. Discarded UNSC weapons lie all about.

NOW, everyone except the monitor and the Huragok was beginning to get scared. Esdeath's Danger Beast blood told her body to leave, but she wanted to know what happened here.

John-117 also notices a helmet lying on the floor, and, crouching, moves swiftly towards it. Once he's there, he surveys the room one more time, places his rifle on the floor, and picks up the helmet. The name JENKINS is stamped across it. There is a large, jagged hole punched through the top of it. John-117 shakes his head. He then examines the helmet more closely and notices that the Helmet recorder, near the HUD, is still intact. He retrieves the Recorder Chip and inserts it into a socket in his helmet (where Cortana was previously stored).

Helmet cam view (night vision enabled). A Marine (Jenkins) looks around the inside of Dropship V-933. There are several other Marines seated in the dropship with him. Johnson's favorite music (flip music) blares over the cabin speakers.

Leone and Tatsumi was rocking to this song, while the others watched.

Private Manuel Mendoza: "Why do we always have to listen to this old stuff, Sarge?"

"Oh shut uppp!" Leone said as she was rocking to this song.

Staff Sergeant Avery Johnson: "Watch your mouth, son. This "stuff" is your history. It should remind you grunts what we're fightin' to protect."

"Yeah, tell hi-" Leone was about to say.

"SHHHH!" everyone hushed her And Leone shut up.

Private Manuel Mendoza: "Hey... if the Covenant wanna wipe out this particular part of my history, that's fine by me."

Private Bisenti: "Yeah... better it than us."

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "You ask 'em real nice next time you see 'em, Bisenti. I'm sure they'll be happy to oblige."

Pelican Dropship PilotCOM: "LZ looks clear! I'm bringing us down!"

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "Go, go, go!"

The Squad advances through the swamp towards the same structure you are in now.

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "Stay close, Jenkins!"

They reach the entrance and sweep their weapons across it, wary.

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "Mendoza! Move it up!"

Mendoza advances in a crouch, gun at the ready.

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: (to Jenkins) "Wait here for the Captain and his squad, and get your ass inside."

Private Wallace Jenkins: "Sir!"

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "Okay, let's move!"

The team heads into the structure.

The squad stands around a Sangheili carcass, the chest is torn wide open. Private Kappus is examining a similar carcass on the left hand side of the screen.

"That's…. that…." Wave was about to say as fear was building up in the surrounding.

"Yeah, something is going on." Mine murmured.

Private Kappus: "-which is weird, right? I mean... look at it." (Prods the Sangheili with his foot.) "Something... scrambled the insides."

"Yeah, what kind of weapon does that?" Tatsumi asked the monitor, to which she didn't reply.

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "What's that? Plasma scarring?"

Private Kappus: "Yeah... I dunno. Maybe there was an accident. You know, friendly fire or something?"

Captain Keyes approaches the squad.

Captain Jacob Keyes: "What do we have here, Sergeant?"

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "Looks like a Covenant patrol. Badass Elite units, all KIA."

Captain Jacob Keyes: "Real pretty. Friend of yours?"

Private Kappus: (sounds slightly apprehensive) "Nah, we just met."

The squad, along with Captain Jacob Keyes and his own squad, stand outside a locked door - the one you have just come through.

Captain Jacob Keyes: "Right. Well, let's get this door open."

Private Kappus: "I'll try, sir. But it looks like these Covenant worked pretty hard to lock it down."

"Don't even think about it. The enemy may have locked it up for a good reason." Najenda criticised Keyes.

Captain Jacob Keyes: (impatiently) "Just do it, son."

Private Kappus: "Yes, sir."

Kappus removes a Spoofer from his pocket and sticks it to the door. He punches a few keys, and the door opens. He waves the squad through. Bisenti takes point through the door, Jenkins close behind him, and the rest of the squad fans out around him. An odd rumbling sound is heard.

"This must be a trap." Sheele said as she was leaning on Run.

Private Manuel Mendoza: "I've got a bad feeling about this..."

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "Boy, you always got a bad feelin' about something-"

Corporal LovikCOM: "-Captain, Sarge (static) can you hear me?!"

Captain Jacob Keyes: "What's going on, soldier?"

Corporal LovikCOM: (panicked) "We've got contacts...lots of 'em...but they're not Covenant...they're just tearing through us...what the?!...ooooohhh...nooooo!" (Flood noises can be heard in background)

"Whoever this enemy is…. It's causing so much fear." Leone admitted as something bad as about to happen.

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "Corporal? Do you copy, over?"

No response.

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "Mendoza, get your ass back up to Second Squad's position, and find out what the hell is goin' on."

Private Manuel Mendoza: "But, si-"

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "I don't have time for your lip, soldier! I gave you an order!"

The same noise that John-117 heard before entering the room is heard.

"It's that sound again." Mine pointed out.

"This must be something." Lubbock gulped fearfully.

Private Kappus: "Sarge! Listen!"

The odd hissing noise grows louder and louder. Everyone scans the room, trying to find the source of the strange sounds.

Private Bisenti: "What is that?"

Sergeant Johnson: "Where's that coming from, Mendoza?"

Private Mendoza: "Everywhere... I don't-there! ¡Mira!"

Mendoza points to a nearby door, which has just exploded outwards. Small squid-like creatures' swarm from it.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE THOSE!?" Mine screamed as she and the others never saw this thing before.

"So… ugly." Cosmina looked away.

Private Riley: "Ahh... augh! Get it off! Get it off- augh!"

Riley lies on the ground, one of the Infection Forms attached to his chest. Kappus tries to pull it off him.

Private Kappus: "Hold still, hold still!"

Kappus pulls the creature off of Riley, who goes limp. Kappus struggles with the creature which is now trying to infect him.

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "Let 'em have it!"

The Marines and Captain Jacob Keyes open fire, to little effect. Infection Forms are now all around them.

"Just how strong are these things?" Stylish looked at the squid like creatures.

Captain Jacob Keyes: "Sergeant, we're surrounded!"

"No Sergeant Johnson get outta there!" Leone exclaimed in panic she didn't want to see Johnson die by the hands of these abominations.

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "God dammit, Jenkins! Fire your weapon!"

Private Mendoza: "There are too many, Sarge!"

Sergeant Johnson: "Don't even think about it, Marine!"

Private Mendoza: (Staggers for the door, several Infection Forms on his back.) "Yo, this is loco!"

"Is he really cowering?" Esdeath's eyebrow rose while her Danger Beast blood started to act more fearfully, to which she ignores.

Captain Jacob Keyes: (through clenched teeth) "Get back here, Marine! That's an order!"

The Marine squad is overtaken, still firing, while their blood sprays as Infection Forms continue to crawl onto them.

Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson: "Jenkins!"

Several Infection Forms attack Jenkins and block his helmet cam. After a moment, the screen blacks out. Words flash.

End Record View (2:39:23 L)

John-117 removes the chip from his helmet, shakes his head, and tosses the chip to the ground. The noises begin again. He stands quickly, gun ready.

"Crap, they're here!" Tatsumi as he and the others gripped their controller to face this new threat.

The Flood

{Gameplay}

The door that they came through is now locked. Three doors holding dozens of Infection Forms break open one at a time, their inhabitants attacking them.

"Open fire!" Tatsumi ordered and soon he and the others quickly kill of these creatures.

"Delta, what are those things?!" Mine demanded as she punched one of the creatures while it was in mid-air.

"I will answer those questions when you complete the mission." She answered as she didn't want them to be distracted.

Insert- Demons…monsters…

The entrance breaks open. Massive amounts of Infection Forms skitter inside, followed by unarmed Combat Forms. But were mowed down by the group.

As the others went up and killed more of these enemies, Mine noticed something. "Hang on…" she inspected it and it was that of an elite. Its chest had tentacles on it, its entire left arm deformed with a tentacle for a whip and the head was twisted.

She then remembered something on what the marine had said and soon was trembling, "Guys…." They looked at her. "Whatever you do them, use a Covenant weapon on them! They're not the Covenant anymore!"

The group escapes the facility, encountering Flood forms and some Covenant infantry struggling to survive.

"Just what are those things!" Wave shouted as he sticks a plasma grenade to the infected elite.

Tatsumi continued shooting but one of them jumped into their platform. "THEY CAN JUMP THAT HIGH!"

Mine was there to kill the infected elite with her Needler and soon everyone went back to the elevator. She, was also trembling in fear at this new threat.

"Why it's not going back up?!" Seryu started to panic.

It suddenly falls down and crashes down to the bottom of the facility.

After some fighting, the four arrives at another elevator, but it goes deeper underground and Unggoy blood is seen painted on the elevator's shaft. At the bottom of the shaft, he's attacked by armed Combat Forms - both Sangheili and Human. Esdeath's Danger beast blood told her to kill the enemies and luckily she did with her magnum.

"They can infect humans too!?" Lubbock shouted fearfully.

"Whatever these are, they can consume your body." Mine added with a fearful tone. "Wait, those yellow dots earlier... were they really these creatures?"

Dorothea soon remembered on what the monitor said and she soon was shaking as to why the monitor wanted to keep it as a secret. "So this is what Delta said about that…."

They eventually see two or three Marines armed with Shotguns or Assault Rifles fighting the Flood.

Although their weapons give them a distinct advantage, a single Infection Form or a single Combat Form attack can kill them.

"Nothing we can do about them!" Mine shouted as she switched her now dried up Needler to a shotgun.

The group finally reaches the final elevator and rises to an exit from the structure.

Carol RawleyCOM: "This is Echo 419. Chief, is that you? I lost your signal when you disappeared inside the structure. What's going on down there? I'm tracking movement all over the place!"

"There are these creatures that came out of nowhere and now they're infecting others!" Tatsumi summarised as he manged to gain some composure.

The group reaches the top where a group of trapped Marines is holding out.

It is obvious they used a lot of ammo to escape, and it is all stacked in a pile. Most Marines hold Shotguns and Assault Rifles, one or two have Plasma Rifles.

"Thank God there survivours!" Wave sighed in relief.

Marine: "We could use your help, sir."

PFC Chips Dubbo: (Desperate and afraid) "Sir! Thank God you're here! We've been lost out here for hours. After we lost contact with the rest of the mission, we, we headed for the RV point, and then these...these things...they ambushed us. We've gotta get out of here!"

"You're completely right, Chips." Lubbock agreed as he and the others managed to gain some composure.

Carol RawleyCOM: "There's a large tower a few hundred meters from your current position. Find a way above the fog and foliage canopy and I can move in and pick you up."

The Marine squad eagerly follows John-117 outside, where the Flood close in from all sides. Some Marines are attacked by Infection Forms, and their allies are forced to shoot them.

"There's so many of them!" Mine shouted and Eseath's instinct started to kick in due to her Danger Beast Blood.

"Damn, how do we kill those things?" Wave wondered as he picked up a plasma rifle and shot a lot of enemies.

The group comes near the tower Foehammer was speaking of, an odd blue object and a flotilla of floating robots descends from the mist. The robots begin to slice away at any nearby Flood, avoiding your Marines. After a few seconds of fighting around the base of the tower, the screen fades to white.

"Here we go." Delta said cheerfully as she gets to see Guilty Spark.

343 Guilty Spark

(Cutscene)

John-117 suddenly finds himself enveloped in a bright gold light, and then appears on top of one of the legs of the tower. The blue object hovers in front of him. John instinctively points his weapon at it.

343 Guilty Spark: "Greetings. I am the Monitor of Installation 04. I am 343 Guilty Spark."

John slowly lowers his Assault Rifle. Gunfire is still heard below, and bright beams slice through the dark swamp. John and the Monitor ignore the commotion.

343 Guilty Spark: "Someone has released the Flood. My function is to prevent it from leaving this installation. But I require your assistance. Come. This way."

"Huh, the Flood is a suitable name considering that they attack in swarms." Najenda tried to joke, which made no one laugh.

John-117 and the Monitor vanish in another series of gold flashes.

Carol RawleyCOM: "Chief, I've lost your signal! Where'd you go? Chief? Chief!"

Fades to black.

Level ends.

As the level ends, all of them felt fear running up inside of all of them. Some were breathing heavily as Tatsumi, Mine, and Wave put their controllers down.

"Just what the hell were those creatures?!" Lubbock said in a fearful manner.

"Those were the Flood." They looked at Delta.

"Flood?" Some of them asked.

"Yes. The flood is a parasitic creatures that consumes all life in the galaxy." Delta answered.

"Well, it can't be that bad." Wave hoped. And he thought that Danger Beast-Human hybrids were bad.

"You are underestimating them, Reclaimer. Just one of these flood spore can infect an entire species, which is truly a terrifying thing." Delta added. That… was truly scary for everyone even Esdeath. A parasite that can consume the body and mind But that begs the question for Dorothea. Were there any Flood samples in here?

"Delta, are there any Flood samples in this world?" Dorothea asked. Than if so, it would mean serious trouble for them.

"There are none." Delta answered, which made all of them sigh in relief. "This world was created far away as this Installation was for Research and Development Technologies, so there are none."

"But how do you know about this?" Tatsumi asked.

The monitor soon faced everyone. "Ten million years ago, there were these God-like beings known as the Precursors that created all life in the Galaxy. We were originally to hold the Mantle of Responsibility, until they changed their minds when they chose humanity over us." They heard a bit of malice when she mentioned about her own race.

"What did they do?" Najenda asked.

"They massacred all of them. Leaving some of them to live in another Galaxy or simply turn into Dust. However, over nine million years later, these dusts were corrupted due to anger and rage over my Kind's zealously." She continued with a serious tone of malice. Many were shocked that her own kind did such a petty thing to their creators.

"Did you participate with them?" Dorothea asked, and if so then they would hate her.

"No, I never did participate in such petty act. I despised it. They were created to be their monuments of our sins" She answered. "And you're not the only ones who knows about this..."

IN THE OCCULT RESEARCH'S CLUB

"what the hell! The Flood were from the remnants of our God!" Xenovia said as she and the other members heard about the origins of the Flood.

"This can't be real! This can't-" Asia repeated as tears were about to fall in her eyes, but was soon comforted by Issei.

"My my, this was a shocking revelation." Akeno said.

"I cannot believe that this is real." Irina admitted.

"Whoever sent this to us, must really have the nerve to do so." Rias said. But she wasn't the only one who knew about it.

MEANWHILE IN THE AVENGERS TOWER

The group were just staring at the screen while in a state of shock as they all learn about the origins of the flood.

"Well, this was…" Captain America was about to say as he didn't want to offend Thor.

"Intriguing." Ironman finished cautiously as he also didn't want to also offend Thor.

"Man, I can't believe that their own creations did that to their creators." Peter Parker said as he heard some similarities in films and TV shows.

They just continued to watch/ play the game.

ESLEWHERE IN THE TOJOU HOUSEHOLD….

"This can't be right! Our Gods weren't base off from them!" Celis Reinhardt spoke up in a fearful manner as she and the other members of the Tojou household were in a state of shock of the origins of the flood.

Chisato, or also known as the 'God' Afureia was breathing heavily. How did someone know about her kind's history? But she was soon comforted by Basara.

"Jeez, they're literally gross. Can't imagine what-" Maria was about to say.

"Don't say anything." Mio warned and soon the others continued to play the game.

MEANWHILE IN THE PARK…..

The groundskeepers, well, were not surprised by this. This was a typical storytelling. Just a creation killing their creators and creating some sort of effect.

"Booo! That sucks!" Rigby said and was soon punched by Mordecai.

"Dude, pay attention, this may be important." Mordecai acknowledge his friend.

"Mordecai is right." Benson spoke up. "The quicker we finish this game, the sooner you'll be cleaning this mess or…" he soon turns red, "YOU'RE FIRED!"

"JEEEZ, okay fine." Rigby said and they continued to play the next mission.

BACK AT NIGHT RAID'S HQ

With that out of the way, all of them did their stretches and sat back down in their seats. Chelsea and Kurome were eating their sweets as they want to forget about this horrific and traumatizing mission.

That has to be one of the most terrifying and twist plots Night Raid had ever played. Everyone didn't expect zombies to be here and all they want to do it forget about it

Now with everyone being comforted and feeling quite confident about this next mission, despite the flood being there. Akame soon picked up the controller to play with Esdeath, while Leone and Najedna did the same. Before they even start the mission, Delta had a thought.

"The next one will be hard, reclaimers."

Jesus, this has got to be one of the longest chapters I have ever written and I can't believe that it's getting popular too. In just three week, this Fanfiction might have got a lot of attention. The next mission, well, I hope that Leone learns from what the Monitor said in the Truth and Reconciliation mission.
