Edward POV

Carlisle told me that Bella is now a vampire. I was so angry. My blood supply was gone and above and beyond that Alec, the sniveling bastard, had tasted it. That blood was mine to do with as I saw fit, not him. Never him. Bella was mine.

The voices didn't tell me what to do now. I didn't know what to do. They only told me what to do with Bella's sweet blood and body.

Her body was still there I could still claim that but once again, because of the mating mark Carlisle had seen, I knew that Alec had been there first.

Perhaps she wasn't worth anything anymore. Perhaps the only thing left to do was to kill her. Maybe that is the right move after all. There is no more sweet blood and her body had been corrupted by that monster. The only thing left was for her to die.

I couldn't decide. Did I still want her body or not. The voices said I did. But my mind said I didn't. It was just too hard to decide.

Part of me just couldn't believe she could give up her warm, soft, tasty body to become a monster. I knew she wasn't hunting animals because I would have run into her or at least her scent trail if she was. She was a monster. She was feeding on humans. Maybe she was no better than the other monsters who lived in the castle.

No matter what I decided it was time to confront her. It was time to see just what she'd become and I knew where to wait for her.

Demetri POV

Jane was busy today. Felix was in court. The only one I could leave my Angela with was Williams and I was dreading it. Especially after our night. Bella gave me all the information I needed to get Angela to open up to me and eventually to claim me. She was marked as well and that made me feel a lot better sending her down for combat training.

I felt pretty good about myself sporting the claiming mark for the first day. Especially with all the trouble we had gone to so we could simply get to this point. The smile on my face didn't seem to want to go away.

Angela was an amazingly passionate woman. I should have expected that as deeply as she cares about people but I was caught off guard again. I wasn't expecting that level of passion in my young mate. I was expecting her to be more shy and meek. She wasn't shy or meek at all any more. I smiled again.

"I'll walk you down to train," I told her "But then I have to go train others."

"Can Jane train with me?" she asked.

"I'm sorry my love, Jane is in court."

"Can Bella train with me?" she asked.

"No my love. Bella is training with Jasper. Do you remember Edward? He's still coming for Bella. Williams will be training with you today."

And there came the tantrum. I don't know why she always has one at the mention of Williams's name. But she does. It's predictable. I did the only thing I could do and weathered her fit as best as I was able. "I'm sorry," I told her when it was over. "I love you."

"I love you too," she mumbled and we went off on our various tasks. At least she didn't hold a grudge, my Angela. That would have made things harder if not impossible to deal with.

As I passed Bella in the training area, she noticed my neck. Smiling widely she congratulated me. I smiled back and got to work.

Bella POV

Jasper was teaching me 'dirty tricks' to get someone's head. I followed along and did my best to imitate him. No matter how much I trained I didn't feel like I was doing enough. Don't get me wrong I worked hard. I just always felt like I could work harder.

It was even harder to work today, knowing Alec was in court and couldn't come to me if I needed him. I was cranky, frustrated, and afraid. I knew Edward was coming for me one of these days and that led to a show of temper that almost did loose Jasper his head. He just complimented me on the attempt and kept working.

Eventually I settled into a steady calm, forgetting everything else and me and Jasper really got down to work.

I knew that Alec would be there with me to feed after combat practice so really nothing had changed after all except he had to go back to court while I was working without him.

After feeding today I wanted to go up to the library. I hadn't visited it yet since I was changed and Alec promised to help me turn the pages so I didn't destroy any books. Alec and Madison went with me.

While I was searching for the right book I heard my name called. It was a voice I didn't recognize. Not Felix, Alec, Demetri, or Jasper so I turned around eagerly waiting for my new friend to reveal himself.

I could barely believe what I saw. It was Edward walking toward me like he hadn't been missing for months of my life at this point. I saw red but I controlled it.

I chirped, "Edward," in the same tone of voice that I would have used all those months ago and rushed at him, but when he would have taken me in his arms I jumped around to his back. Using one of those 'dirty tricks' Jasper taught me, I took his head.

At first Alec looked angry. Then he looked stunned. Then he ran his hands all along my body to make sure I wasn't hurt anywhere. Finally he said, "Before I show you how absolutely hot that was you need to take this," lifting Edwards decapitated head, "to Demetri."

I walked back to the training room but he wasn't there. Finally I went up to his quarters and knocked on the door.

"Alec said I should give this to you," I told him.

Demetri just started laughing. "You get to train for Elite status Bella. You were already on the right route but I promised who ever brought me Edward's head would train for the Elite team. Do you know what that means?" he asked me.

"No" I said confused.

"You're going to be working a lot harder."

"I just did what Jasper was teaching me." I told him confused.

I laughed with him and left him with Edward's head to dispose of. I had a date with my Alec.

After a long hot shower where Alec worshiped every inch of my body, checking me again for injuries, we fell into bed laughing. At least we laughed at first. Soon Alec was paying close attention to my breasts and I didn't care to laugh any more. By the time he slid deep into me I wasn't laughing at all. This was different than the other times we made love. He was rougher, faster and harder working his length deep inside me. It was fucking not making love and I enjoyed every second of it. He bit down on my claiming mark as he came, sending me into another orgasm too.

"Was I too rough with you" he asked when we were sprawled in bed afterward.

"No, that was perfect," I assured him. "Actually, lets do it again."

And he did. It was just as special to me as any time we had made love before. The wildness didn't seem to leave us that night and we were both disappointed when it was time to feed and start our day over again.

Alec POV

Bella was finally learning to grab things gently so her feedings were much less messy. She still had to have a bath afterward but there was a light at the end of the tunnel. She was putting into practice all the tips that I had tried to give her in the previous weeks. I was proud of her. Blood wasn't dripping from the ceiling any more when she was finished and even though she was still a mess personally, she was making progress.

I was amazed at how easily she'd handled the task of disposing of Edward. I hadn't expected to be caught off guard by him, but she handled it like a professional. At first I had been confused though; why was Bella running into the arms of another man. Perhaps I need to find the will to watch her training with Jasper.

But then I was in for my own surprise. When we went to combat practice we found Jasper and Demetri sparring. For the first time I can remember, Demetri was loosing. I watched closely, and I noticed that Bella was too to their sparring sessions and the tips they gave each other. They were machines. It was like watching two gladiators coming together and I could see that they were each taking this very seriously. It looked like Jasper had something to teach us all. I was almost as disappointed as my Bella when it was done and Jasper approached us.

"It's time for Alice and I to head back home Darlin'," he said to her.

"Come back sometime?" Bella asked quietly, "I'll miss you both."

Jasper nodded his ascent. He hugged her, patted me on the back and was gone.

From there she sparred with Madison, or me, or even Demetri during combat practice. We never allowed her to get comfortable with one fighting style before we changed it up on her.

When I went to court next, I was surprised when Aro asked for Bella's presence. I went to get her immediately, pulling her away from sparring with Demetri in the process.

When we arrived back in the meeting room Bella was confused. "Masters, you asked for me?" She asked hesitantly.

"It is time to begin working on your shields young one," Aro informed her. My own shield Renita will be helping you. Why don't you two go work in the training rooms. Alec, your presence here will be even more important with my shield gone. You are to stay here."

Bella smiled hugely as she was introduced to Renita and I thought Bella might have just made another friend.

They went off to the training room and I took my place behind the thrones.
