Chapter 18: Warrant
Baez woke up at 7 AM, the same time Danny went in the house, Danny went straight to bed as Baez made breakfast and coffee after she and Sean ate, she dropped him off at school and went to the Precinct, there she was greeted by Sterling.

"Morning." Sterling said while he sat at the desk.

"Morning." Baez said as she was going to sit.

"We have to go." Sterling said, passing her a warrant.

"That's a warrant for the registered address?" Baez asked, reading it.

"Yep, I got information that he's there right now. I notified ESU." Sterling said as he got his gun holster out of a desk cabinet and clipped it into his belt then they went down to their vehicle and sped off to the address, as they arrived they met with ESU.

"Alright, so our target is one James Reynolds, he's wanted for Attempted Murder." Baez started briefing ESU and continued "We are going in fast and strong, there's a possibility that he is armed, so be safe and watch your six. LET'S GO." Baez said.

The ESU team went up with the 2 ballistic shields first and then the rest of the ESU officers and the two detectives, as they arrived out of the apartment door Baez started banging on the door.

"NYPD!" Baez yelled and kicked in the door, then stepped back and let the shields go first, as they got in Reynolds woke up and he put his hands up.

"GET ON THE GROUND." Sterling yelled as Baez grabbed Reynolds and dragged him to the grounds, cuffing him.

After clearing the apartment, an RMP arrived to secure it and search for weapons as Baez put the suspect in the car, they sped off to the 54th Precinct, as they arrived they put him in the "Box" and started interrogating him.

"Mr. Reynolds, quite some charges." Baez said as she placed the file on the table and sat down.

"Okay, what do you want lady cop?" Reynolds answered.

"I know you were driving while a fellow gang member shot Mr. Hernandez." Baez stated.

"Firstly, I ain't no snitch and secondly you got shit." Reynolds said.

"Well we got you speeding away from the scene, with a traffic camera capturing your plate, and secondly, your vehicle is with the Crime Scene Unit, so yeah. But you can get a sweet deal if you speak up." Baez said.

"I ain't no snitch." Reynolds said again.

"Okay, I will spread the word that you snitched about your friend who shot your rival gang member once we catch him." Baez said, taking out her phone and taking a selfie with the suspect.

"You can't do that, you're the police." Reynolds said.

"Yes, I can." Baez said as she got up.

"OKAY, I'LL TALK!" Reynolds yelled.

"Okay, what's his name?" Baez said.

"Name's Victor Williams." Reynolds said.

"Does he still have the gun?" Baez asked.

"Yeah, it's stashed in his apartment at the Bitter End." He said.

"Okay." Baez got up and stepped out then turned to the officer outside.

"Take him to the transport van for Central Booking, tell them to book him for Accessory to Attempted Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder." Baez said as the officer went inside and got him to the van.

"So get ESU go to the Bitter End, 2nd building, apartment 2F." Baez said.

"Copy." Sterling said.

After some hours, Sterling came back with the suspect and put him in the holding awaiting transport to Manhattan Central Booking and delivered the gun to CSU.

"Good catch?" Baez asked.

"Got the gun and the shooter." Sterling answered.

"Good, then I am going home." Baez said, going out the Precinct, going into her car and arriving home as she got in, she sat on the couch and Danny came down.

"Hey, don't you have night tour?" Baez asked.

"It's a day off." Danny said, kissing her.

"Where's sean?" Baez asked.

"He went on a date with a girl and then he will go to a sleepover." Danny said with a grin.

"So we got the place to ourselves?" Baez asked.

"Mhm." Danny said with a devious grin then Baez stood up and went to the stars.

"Let's go to the bedroom and do some serious detective work." Baez said, smiling.

"Yes, Ma'am." Danny answered and they went to the bedroom.

After some serious "detective work" both fell asleep on each others arms and Baez felt so safe in Danny's arms.
