Bakugo Expelled
Chapter twenty-two: Warrior's Rest
Bakugo, accompanied by his classmates Izuku and Todoroki, now found themselves in Asgard, part of the Norse afterlife, after the three of them were, to their shock and mildly dreading horror, all killed. The three boys followed Thor, the Norse god of thunder, down to the lakeshore where a number of Viking party barges were docked. Honorable warriors were on the barges, partying and giving good cheer as they all awaited shipping out to Valhalla.
The feelings that the boys had varied. Izuku was sad and silently crying to himself given that, realizing he had died, he not only left his mother Inko alone, but also his girlfriend Uraraka would be crying over him as well. Todoroki, although not crying like Izuku, realized that he was leaving behind his siblings, his mother Rei, and his girlfriend Reiko. The two-toned boy couldn't care less about leaving his bastard of a father Endeavor, and a part of him was actually a little glad that he was dead, if only because now Endeavor can no longer use him as a pawn to further his ambitions.
As for the ashy-haired teen, he came to realize that he was leaving his squad behind. Sero and Mina, who were what remained of his original crew, and Akuma and Sakaki, who he had brought with him from Vulcan High after that hot dumpster fire of a mess. Bakugo also remembered that he was also leaving his father Masaru behind as well; remembering what Masaru had asked of him the morning of the monster siege on the city, Bakugo was silently apologizing to his father, very much sorry over how he was forcing the brown-haired man into a position that he never wanted to be in; having to bury his own son.
That was not all for Bakugo, however; the explosive teen realized that he also left behind Pony Tsunotori, his girlfriend who he had gone through so much to impress, and get her to agree to go out with him. Bakugo's death meant that he was leaving Pony alone, and that made him struggle to suppress a tear that was threatening to flow freely down the side of his face. Bakugo had to put all of those thoughts to the side, however, as he and his classmates had reached the party barges that Thor was escorting them to.
The thunder god gestured to the party barge that was located right in front of them. "Here we are, good warriors," Thor said, "There has been some considerable delay, but that gives you all the more time to eat, drink and make merry with the other exalted fellows who have earned their good warrior's rest. Now then, I must be off to look over the grassy shores before the lake, to see if any other noble warriors had shown up after earning their rightful place at the side of my father Odin." The thunder god jumped up into the air, turned around and flew off.
Bakugo and his classmates watched as Thor flew off, leaving them be with no other real option other than to board the Viking party barge. The three fallen U.A. students could hear the sounds of cheering, drinking, merry-making and all around Viking-style partying coming from the barge; they could even hear good, Viking-esque music coming from the party barge as well. The three of them, with Bakugo leading the way, all got on board.
"I…I still can't believe that we all died, Kacchan, Todoroki," Izuku remarked sadly as he looked around, "And that we're now in the afterlife."
"And it's the Viking's afterlife, no less," Bakugo remarked dryly, trying to keep in as good of spirits as he could manage, "Hoo boy, can you imagine what Vine Hair's reaction would be like if she knew that this afterlife is confirmed to be re-"
Bakugo stopped short when he, as well as Izuku and Todoroki, all heard a familiar voice call out to the three of them. They all turned to look in the appropriate direction, and when they did all three of them were shocked with what they saw. …Or rather, who they saw. That cool, casual amused expression, that electric yellow-blonde hair with the bolt-shaped streak of black in it were all signs of someone who the three fallen U.A. boys thought that they would never get the chance to speak to ever again.
Denki Kaminari gave Bakugo and the others a casual wave, his expression showing that he was amused, with a hint of resigned sadness, to see former classmates, former friends, once more. "Hey guys," Kaminari greeted, "Long time no see, huh?"
"(Jötunn!)" Allison Ace exclaimed in English during the villains' siege in the city; the team battle event that was being held at that stadium was interrupted before the female Ace twin and her teammates could finish their glorious melee, an interruption that, if it were under normal circumstances, would have greatly annoyed Allison. However, when she and her allies were all told of the villains' attack, that the Americans were needed to help out, and of the sheer number of foes that had shown up to do battle, Allison's annoyance at the interruption of her battling foes was greatly assuaged due to the sheer number of new foes that had been presented to her.
One of said foes just so happening to be Gigantomachia, an incredibly large and powerful villain who vastly towered over all others that took part in the fighting. Upon laying eyes on the gigantic villains, Allison immediately 'claimed dibs' on being the one to vanquish Gigantomachia, who she had taken to referring to as 'the jötunn'. Many of the Japanese pro heroes were very much of the opinion that the gigantic villain was an invincible force, so they dismissed Allison's claims as nonsense.
…So as one could imagine, the Japanese pro heroes were all well beyond shocked when Allison, after surging her golden lightning cloak to grow and take the shape of a gigantic wolf avatar, charged right at Gigantomachia, attacked him, then struck him with a powerful blast of golden lightning in an open wound she had tore on him, the tearing of the wound in and of itself being considered as a legendary feat by some of the Japanese pro heroes. The blast of lightning that struck in the open wound had a golden coloration so deeply concentrated, the attack looked to be made of real solid gold.
Furthermore, Gigantomachia ended up coughing up a large blob of blood; likewise, both ears and both nostrils bled heavily, and a later autopsy confirmed his anus and urethra also bled out. It was a great boon to the heroes' efforts, as well as a great shock to them, that Asgardian had been able to vanquish Gigantomachia. No one was going to berate Allison for killing, partly because all participating heroes who were fighting off the villains' siege were given the okay by the HPSC to use lethal force (given the situation, President Koharu Gunga felt that there wasn't any other option available), but mostly because Gigantomachia would have surely killed many others had he not been stopped.
In another surprising move that caught the pro heroes by surprise, the supreme leader of the villains himself, Shigaraki, was seen taking part in the battle. He was able to dust two lesser pro heroes before Aggro Ace, the Samurai Hero Sengoku, confronted him in a manner similar to how Allison had confronted Gigantomachia. However, whereas Allison used golden lightning and created a giant wolf avatar, Aggro used golden fire and created a giant multi-tailed fox avatar as he charged at Shigaraki.
Aggro, his aim striking true, blasted the supreme leader of the villains with a blasting pillar stream of golden flames, the golden coloration so deeply concentrated it looked to be made of actual solid gold, much like the attack Allison had used to kill Gigantomachia. Similarly to his gigantic minion, Shigaraki also coughed up a blob of blood, and likewise bled from his urethra, anus, both nostrils and both ears before falling over dead.
After he vanquished the villains' leader, the male Ace twin looked around and, to his piqued interest, spotted a trio of villains that were rather familiar to him. Since he had the blessings of the HPSC to use lethal force on any of the villains he saw taking part in the siege on the city, Aggro decided to go after the trio that he had spotted. Aggro was even able to pick up his protégé Lincoln Loud, the Assassin Hero Ezio, along the way.
Aggro's temperament at the moment was cool, allowing him to think calmly and clearly. He knew that he had to kill, that he had already killed villains knowingly and willingly. He gave a passing thought to the three boys he fought just before the villains' attack on the city broke out; Aggro worried that, given he knew full well that he had lost his temper and ability to reason at the time, that he might have gone too far against the two-toned boy, the green-haired boy and that explosively tempered ashy-haired boy. But he shrugged it off, given he had a job to do right now.
If the worse did come to pass, Aggro could simply fix whatever mess he might have made.
Bakugo, as well as Izuku and Todoroki, were now sitting at a table on the Viking party barge in Asgard, sitting with not just Kaminari, but also Kirishima, Tenya, Tokoyami and Ojiro. "So, this is where you guys ended up after that gold fire samurai bastard killed you," Bakugo remarked before taking a swig of mead from a flagon; he was dead now, so what the fuck did he care in the ways of drinking laws?
The five boys nodded in the affirmative to Bakugo, Izuku and Todoroki. "Yeah, this is where the dudes and I all ended up," Kaminari remarked. With a resigned look on his face, the electric quirk user gave a shrug. "…I'm still trying to get over the shock. I mean, one minute the guys here and I were passed by Mineta as he was running on past us during our field trip to the United States, and the next minute I get impaled in the chest by a flame-coated wooded sword before said sword is yanked out of me and used to whack me in the he-"
Kaminari was cut off when Bakugo held up both of his hands, making him take pause as he and the others all turned to regard the explosive teen. "Hold up a minute there, Kaminari," Bakugo began, a look of suspicion mixed with brewing anger mixed on his face. All eyes were on him as Bakugo asked, "How the fuck does Grape Head factor into how you were killed? How the other guys here were killed as well?"
Tenya got everyone's attention as he let out a sigh, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose a bit before he proceeded to tell a story. "…I was walking along with the boys here, intending to see what sights our field trip's destination had to offer us," the fallen class rep explained, "That's around when our short-statured classmate ran past us…"
(FLASHBACK)
Tenya was walking alongside Kirishima, Kaminari, Ojiro and Tokoyami through one part of the neighborhood in Royal Woods. "I heard that the mall is a popular destination," Tenya said to the others in his group, "And we may very well be able to find some souvenirs to take home with us back to Japan."
"I actually wouldn't mind fining a place here to eat at," Tokoyami remarked, "I would like to experience how dining in America is different from dining in Ja-"
The raven-headed teen was cut off when his and the boys' classmate Mineta ran past all of them, screaming, "Heyguysstoptheguythatschasingmethanks!" really fast before turning a corner and disappearing. The boys had no idea what was going on, but before they could process what all was going on, they were met up by a very clearly pissed-off Aggro, in his full Sengoku outfit.
"(Out of my way now,)" Aggro threatened the boys in English, "(I need to beat the little shit that just ran through here!)"
Right away, Tenya could tell that Mineta had done something to screw up, but nonetheless acted to keep the samurai fellow in front of him and the other boys from going on after the unrepentant pervert, figuring that whatever the samurai fellow would do would be overkill. "(Sir, with all due respect, don't you think you ought to calm down?)" Tenya asked in English, "(I mean, I know that he must have done something bad, but there's no reason to fly off-)"
"(That little bastard has the beating that I am going to do to him coming!)" Aggro said, cutting Tenya off, "(He is not going to get away with the stunt that he had just pulled! Not here in the Royal Woods jurisdiction!)" Aggro then tried to force his way past the five boys, only for Tenya to smack him back with a Reciprio Burst, accompanied by Ojiro smacking the Samurai Hero with his large tail.
Aggro didn't fall over, but he did stumble back a bit due to the sucker punch of an attack. Tenya and Ojiro, with Kirishima, Kaminari and Tokoyami all standing behind them, took up battle stances, feeling that they were going to have to fight Aggro off to keep him from going after and harming their classmate. Aggro, whose head was thrown back a bit, brought his head back down to look accusingly, angrily, at the five boys who stood in his way.
The serious look on the faces of the five boys made it clear they weren't going to give up without a fight. "(If you continue to insist on chasing after him to do him harm, then you leave us no choice in the matter but to fight you,)" Tenya remarked.
"(…The five of you are just as guilty, then,)" Aggro said, his tone shifting to be oddly calm, "(Very well, then.)" To the surprise of the boys, Aggro suddenly became engulfed in a cloak of billowing golden flames. With a speed greater than any of them anticipated, Aggro rushed forward and then, to the collective shock of the other boys, thrusted his bokken through the chest of Kaminari, impaling him and even lifting him up a bit.
Aggro quickly sat Kaminari back down on his feet, yanked the bokken out, then whacked him in the head to knock him over onto the ground. The Samurai Hero then turned to face Ojiro and blasted him with a Searing Blast, striking him with very considerable firepower that send him reeling back as the pain made him white out before falling over. The other three boys tried to charge him, but Aggro's cloak of golden flames made all attacks moot.
Holding a hand straight up into the air, Aggro conjured a Solar Flare before dropping it on top of Tokoyami and Kirishima, blasting them both with such fury and power that they were laid low. With only Tenya remaining, Aggro took his other bokken out, made an x-shape, then casted a Kusanagi, striking the class 1-A rep with an x-shaped projectile of golden flames. Tenya whited out as the pain from battle was too much for him to bear.
(FLASHBACK OVER)
"…After I whited out, I woke up on a grassy hillside," Tenya remarked, his tone resigned and a bit sad, "I found that the others were all there with me as well. We were found by that Thor fellow, who led us to this party barge. And well…" Giving a gentle shake of his head, Tenya said, "We've been here ever since." The other four boys who died alongside Tenya all gave resigned nods of agreement, confirming that Tenya's story of their death was true.
The reaction that Bakugo gave was not one that Tenya and the others expected; it was one of pure outrage. "So let me get this straight…" Bakugo said, his oddly calm tone clearly masking a brewing storm, "…Grape Head, the perverted little shit that he is, is the bastard that grabbed a teen girl's ass and provoked that gold fire samurai bastard into chasing him?"
"Wait a minute, what?" Ojiro asked, looking mildly shocked, as did the other boys. Knowing the story, Bakugo proceeded to explain to them the details that they had missed out on. The story went that Aggro was actually chasing someone he had caught fondling a teen girl's butt. On the assumption that the person in question was elementary school-aged, Aggro was intending to only give said person a harsh beating before letting them go, as is expected in the Royal Woods area because the locals there really don't like crimes that are related to sex in any way, and anyone who commits such a crime in their jurisdiction will be punished, regardless of who it is.
…Then filling in a few more details, the boys all came to the realization that the 'elementary school-aged kid' that Sengoku was chasing was actually Mineta, their unrepentant pervert of a classmate. Given the vague description that everyone had to work with concerning the identity of the person who fondled the teen girl's butt, it was understandable that Mineta would be mistaken for an elementary schooler. However, Mineta had ultimately gotten away from Sengoku, both back in Royal Woods and during the team battle event.
And all that it had cost were the lives of eight other boys.
"THAT LITTLE SHIT!" Bakugo yelled at the top of his lungs, slamming the surface of the table he and the others all sat art with both of his fists. Barely calming down after his outburst just now, the explosive teen yelled, "So our deaths, all of the suffering that people go through because of said deaths, are all the fault of that fucking perverted midget because he is literally incapable of keeping it in his fucking pants!"
Bakugo breathed hard a bit until he felt some gentle patting on his back. He turned to see that it was Izuku who was patting him on his back. "…Kacchan, there's nothing that we can do at this point," the green-eyed boy said sadly, a resigned look on his face, "I mean, we all died. What all can we do?"
The ashy-haired boy turned to look at everyone sitting at the table with him. A passing look of resignation on his face appeared before he shrugged his shoulders, let out a resigned sigh. "…I guess there's not much that any of us can do, Deku." Bakugo was looking down at the surface of the table he and the others all sat at, so he had to look up at everyone as he continued, "At the very least, you, me and IcyHot can tell the boys here all about what happened since they died."
Some of the 1-A and 1-B girls were able to find relative safety from the fighting by returning to Takoba National Stadium. Additionally, Pony, as well as Reiko and Uraraka, all noticed that their respective boyfriends were not seen in any of the fighting; they must have been among the U.A. students that were knocked out by the visiting opponents from Royal Woods before the villains' siege on the city started up.
The half-American girl, remembering what small building she saw her explosive boyfriend, a boy who was surprisingly kind and gentle towards and with her, go into decided to head on inside to see if Bakugo was doing alright. Pony had to climb a few flights of stairs, but eventually she got to the place that she was looming for, given that she found Bakugo, as well as Izuku and Todoroki, laying passed out on the floor.
Pony walked over, a bit of urgency in her stride, to where Bakugo laid on the floor. A guy as tough and powerful, as well as surprisingly kind and protective of her, as Bakugo was going to be needed to help out during the siege. At a minimum, Pony was going to try to see if he would stick by her to protect her from what all villains may show up. Pony knelt down, rolled Bakugo over a bit so that he was lying face up, then proceeded to try to gently shake him awake.
"Bakugo?" Pony said as she gently shook the explosive teen's right shoulder, "Are you okay? Many villains are attacking the city. Big fight was called off, everyone is now helping fight off villains." The ashy-haired teen did not respond to his half-American girlfriend's prompting.
A look of worry crossed Pony's face. "…Bakugo?" Pony, swallowing a nervous, worried lump in her throat, held her fingertips to the base of Bakugo's neck. Her eyes widened in horror, as well as begin to moisten up out of heartbreak, as she felt no pulse. Pony put both of her hands on Bakugo's shoulders and shook him a lot harder. "Bakugo?" Pony cried, getting more and more alarmed with each passing second that her boyfriend didn't wake up. "BAKUGO!"
"YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Aggro was both surprised and mildly confused by the sudden outburst from the blue flame villain as he, along with the psychotic schoolgirl and the lizardman ninja, were trying to attack him in that alleyway he followed them into. All of their attacks were rendered moot by the Samurai Hero's protective cloak of golden flames, but their behavior still nonetheless got his attention.
Aggro knew that he couldn't let the villains here get away with what they were doing during the siege, whatever it was. And he and the other participating heroes did have the legal blessing of the HPSC to use lethal force on the villains, given the sheer number of them that were all taking part in what was a surprise attack no one was ready for. Aggro raised his free hand up, conjured a Solar Flare, and dropped it right down on top of the blue flame villain.
The blue flame villain was engulfed completely, crying out in extreme pain as the Solar Flare engulfed him, exploding around him before dissipating, allowing him to fall to his knees before he fell over onto the ground in the alleyway, lying eerily still. Both the lizardman ninja and the psychotic schoolgirl were alarmed by what had just happened, but before either of them could act, Aggro rushed the lizardman ninja and impaled him in the chest with his bokken, pulling it out and using it to whack him in the side of his head, throwing him to the ground in the alleyway as a result.
The psychotic schoolgirl, a fearful look on her face, backed up a few steps, but she stopped short when she felt someone behind her place the blade of a knife to her throat, tearing it across in a quick, merciless fashion as her slender neck was slashed, sputtering out a lot of blood before she dropped to the ground in the alleyway, laying eerily still just like her two allies. Aggro turned to look at his protégé Lincoln, who had been the one to score the kill on the lone female villain in the trio that the two of them had just dealt with.
"Aggro-sensei, why were these villains so specifically mad at you?" Lincoln asked as he stepped around the body of the female villain he had just killed.
The Samurai Hero gave a gentle shake of his head as he said, "I have no idea, Lincoln-kun." Looking up into the sky, Aggro went on, "But I can't help but be unable to shake the feeling that I, in my fury and haste to attack the person I spotted fondling Leni-chan's rear end during the field trip Aizawa's class took to Royal Woods a while ago, did more to that trio of boys who had held me up than I should have."
Lincoln gently shook his head, a look of disgust on his face. "I still can't believe that the pervert that got away with grabbing my older sister's butt turned out to be a student from the visiting class, and that he ultimately got away with what he did." Looking up at his sensei, Lincoln said, "You think that we should bring it to Mr. Aizawa's attention when all of the fighting is done that the short boy with the purple balls for hair is most likely the person that you were chasing after a while ago, Aggro-sensei?"
"It wouldn't hurt to try," Aggro replied as he proceeded to lead his protégé out of the alleyway, "And I would also like to check on those three boys. If what I feel is true, then I need to work to set a few things right as I give my story to Aizawa."
Back on the party barge in Asgard, Bakugo, with Izuku and Todoroki periodically filling in some details, told the five boys what all had happened between their deaths and the point where Bakugo himself had died alongside Izuku and Todoroki. "…Wow, hard to believe all of that had occurred," Tokoyami remarked, "The monster siege on the city, the siege at U.A., all of that very terrible." The raven-headed teen gently shook his head at it all.
"I'm personally rather glad to hear that U.A. had given you a second chance, Bakugo," Tenya remarked as he gestured to his former classmate, "And that you, to your credit, proved that you had deserved it."
The explosive teen nodded a few times in the affirmative, letting out a sigh as he nodded. "It still sucks that the samurai bastard that killed the five of you also killed me, IcyHot and Deku as well. I mean, we were taken from people who fucking loved us, for fuck's sake."
"…Yeah," Ojiro remarked, a sad look on his face, "I will admit, hearing about what all Hagakure had gone through after I had been killed is a bit disheartening. She must really be beaten up over what had happened to me if she's trying to forget the pain by doing what she's been doing."
"She tried flirting with me," Izuku remarked dryly, "And Uraraka slapped her in the face for it."
The tailed boy nodded a few times in understanding. As Ojiro did that, Tokoyami let out a troubled sigh as he said, "I personally feel guilty over how my own passing has made Tsuyu suffer. Although I am glad to hear that she's trying to cope respectfully, it's still heartbreaking to know that she's going through something that I would never wish on her. And what all you said about Tsuyu coping by focusing on her siblings reminds me they might be upset as well."
The others all nodded in agreement with their raven-headed friend. "…Personally, I'm surprised that Kyoka was as beat up about my death as she is," Kaminari remarked, "I mean, sure we were able to rebuild the bridge after that blow up, but I still went on thinking that she still hated me." Kaminari gave a resigned gulp. "I died thinking that Kyoka hated me."
Bakugo gently shook his head in the negative, getting his electric friend's attention. "…No, you dumbass," the ashy-haired boy said in a somber tone, "Earplugs felt extremely fucking guilty over how she screwed you over because she allowed herself to fall for Grape Head's words in that one incident. When she learned the truth of it all, learned what you truly meant that day, she was so overcome with guilt that, when that guilt coupled with all of the trauma she suffered due to all of the other bullshit that occurred like the monster attack and the U.A. siege, she tried to fucking kill herself."
The other boys, Kaminari especially, were all shocked to hear that Kyoka had tried to commit suicide at one point. Bakugo nodded in confirmation to the five boys who were killed during the field trip, facing Kaminari specifically. "You didn't die with Earplugs hating you, Kaminari. You died with Earplugs being in love with you."
"Wow, that's rather sad," Kirishima remarked, sounding a bit resigned as well as jealous, "Also, as un-manly as this may sound of me, I'm also a little jealous that Kaminari, Tokoyami and Ojiro here all had girls who loved them." He crimson-haired boy looked down at the surface of the table he and the others sat at, a sad look on his face. "I still wished that I knew love like that before I had died…"
"Actually, you did have a girl that was in love with you before you died, Kirishima," Bakugo remarked, drawing his friend's attention, "It's just that she was just too damn nervous to get her feelings across to you is all."
"Oh yeah," Izuku said, "Pony and Reiko's classmate Kinoko was deeply in love with Kirishima before he died. The last that I saw, she was still mourning him."
The five boys who were killed during the field trip, Kirishima especially, were all surprised to hear what Izuku had said, so the green-haired cinnamon roll explained to them that Kinoko was truly in love with Kirishima, and that his death had completely devastated her. The crimson-haired boy, wishing that he had known about that, slammed a fist onto the table in frustration, given that he had missed out on something that he was wishing he'd get to experience. After he let his frustration out, Kirishima gave a resigned sigh, before cracking a small and weak but still sincere smile.
"…So…So there actually was a girl that was interested in me," the crimson-haired boy said, "I actually did succeed in appealing to a girl."
"And now," Bakugo began in a growling tone, "Because of fucking Grape Head being unable to keep it in his pants, you and a lot of other guys were killed." The explosive teen gently shook his head in disgusted anger. "I was pissed off at him enough as it was because his inability to think with anything other than his dick led to me getting expelled from U.A. before I ended up getting reinstated ultimately. But now I know that his lewd ways of thinking ended up getting at least eight others fucking killed."
Kaminari and Kirishima both nodded somberly in agreement with Bakugo; they both recalled how they, as well as Sero and Mina, tried to convince Bakugo to ease up on Mineta, but now that they knew what Mineta's perverted ways of thinking led to them getting killed, they had lost all faith, all trust, in their short-statured fellow who was still in the world of the living. Not that their loss of faith in him would amount to much of anything, given that they and the other boys were now all in Asgard, waiting to go to Valhalla.
"…So…" Bakugo said, "…I guess that this is it. The eight of us are all dead." Looking around, Bakugo said, "At least we all got into the Viking afterlife, surprisingly enough."
"Yeah, imagine how Ibara in class 1-B would react if she knew that the Viking afterlife is confirmed to be real," Kaminari remarked with a bit of an amused snicker, earning an amused smirk and a thumbs-up from Bakugo. As Bakugo smiled and flashed that thumbs-up, a pillar of light shot down from the skies above to engulf him completely. Suddenly, the explosive teen began to rise up from where he was sitting, floating straight up into the sky little by little.
The other seven boys at the table were all surprised, with some of them even panicking over what was going on. Luckily for them, by that point Thor had returned to the barge and, seeing what was going on, gave off an elated expression as he was cheering for the spirit of the ashy-haired teen that was floating up higher and higher into the skies above. The seven boys still at the table all turned to look at the thunder god, and when they asked him what was going on, what he told them took them all by surprise.
Gesturing to the ascending Bakugo, Thor explained, "Your friend here is being resurrected, good warriors! He is being brought back into the land of the living, the land of Midgard! He is going to be returned to being one of the living once more!"
"Someone in the living world can bring the dead back to life?!" Izuku exclaimed, "And they're bringing back Kacchan?!"
"Hey Baku-bro!" Kirishima yelled at his friend who was being returned to life in the land of the living, "Don't forget what all we talked about while you were here!"
Bakugo gave Kirishima a thumbs-up while shouting down at him, "Don't worry, Kirishima! I'll be sure to tell everyone about what all Grape Head had done to fuck things up for everyone! I'll even get All Might's police detective buddy to confirm with an interrogation if it comes down to it!"
The others all nodded in understanding, glad that Bakugo was going to get the word out in the land of the living. "Oh, Baku-bro! One last thing!" The explosive teen looked down at where his crimson-haired friend was looking up at him. There was a sad but also touched, sincere smile on Kirishima's face as he looked up at his returning friend. "…Tell Kinoko that I said thanks." Bakugo yelled down that he'd do that, and that he'd give similar messages to the girlfriends of all of the boys who would be remaining in Asgard.
Then, after he had floated up into the skies of the Viking afterlife high enough in that pillar of light, Bakugo saw all of his vision fade to white. He was not panicking, oddly enough, but then again he got it that he was going back to the land of the living.
…
Bakugo, the color flushed from his skin somewhat, jolted upright into a sitting position on the floor in the room of the building where he, Izuku and Todoroki confronted Sengoku. Speaking of the Samurai Hero, he was not only in that room as well, but he was standing nearby, looking over the resurrected ashy-haired boy. As Bakugo tried to process what all was going on, he was rushed when Pony came over and threw her arms around him as she proceeded to cry into his chest, relieved that he was alive.
"Okay, you brought Bakugo back," the explosive teen heard Uraraka's voice say. Looking over, Bakugo saw that Uraraka and Reiko, both looking very upset as if they had both been crying recently, were looking at Aggro, who was accompanied by his protégé Lincoln. Pointing to where Izuku's corpse laid on the floor in that room, the gravity girl said, "Now bring Izuku back to life next."
Aggro, giving off an aura of notable guilt, nodded once in understanding as he walked over to where the dead green-haired cinnamon roll laid. Bakugo saw the Samurai Hero cast a super move that was called Morning Sun, conjuring a dome of golden flames on top of Izuku's body. After a few moments passed, Izuku jolted upright, the color flushed from his skin as his formerly dead body had been rebooted, had to get used to being alive again.
Bakugo, as everything was going on, looked around the room that he was in; looking out the window, he saw that it was getting close to sunset. It was morning when he was killed, so how long exactly had he and the others been dead? Bakugo would be getting his answers later, but now, as he looked over and saw that Aggro had now just finished resurrecting Todoroki who was rushed by an upset but relieved Reiko, Bakugo couldn't really find it in himself to care.
He was alive again. And he, as well as Izuku and Todoroki, had some words from the dead that they all had to give to the living.
END, CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO
Author's notes;
By the point of the end of this chapter, the whole of the villains' attack on the city had been defeated and the heroes won the day; granted, Bakugo, Izuku and Todoroki all missed the villains' siege due to being dead while it took place, but Aggro brought them all back after the siege, so they can be filled in on the details later. Aside from a bit more clean-up that the heroes had to do here, their victory here is more or less the same as it is in Couple.
The villains also suffered all of the same losses, in addition to how Dabi, Spinner and Toga were all killed; this will be a point that will come out in the next chapter, which will also cover a few other points as well. A few of said points will give a lot of the good folks of U.A. the full story of what all went on when class 1-A had their field trip to the United States here. There's going to be a lot that a certain short-statured person will have to answer for, mark my words.
