A/N: Okay. I didn't update for a long period of time. Reason: TESTS! AGAIN! Take my advice and don't go to school. UGH!
JK education is important.
I also have a keyboard mark like a tattoo on my cheek. Apparently, I slept through one of my HAP classes so that happened. Another valid reason why school is boring!
I also have a new beta, LJ Baby Dragon.
I also wanted to say that they will remain 15 years. I kinda forgot to edit the author notes soo...
Anyway,
DISCLAIMER: I do not- forget it. Go and look in the first chapter!
Percy:
"There was only one person who could do this to me.
Rachel.
The phone was still ringing.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Rachel!"
"Hi, Percy. We have a problem."
"That is?"
"Switch on the news to Channel 4."
"Why?"
"Just do it, Percy."
"Okay."
"I put the call on mute and turned to the others.
"You're our slave!" Leo whooped.
"Shut up. Switch the T.V on. Channel 4." I said, annoyed. Jason, who was near the T.V., switched it on. He took the remote and put Channel 4 on. There was a picture of me and Rachel in a café. The anchor was speaking.
"Famous singer, Percy Jackson caught on camera with Rachel Elizabeth Dare, daughter of Mr. Dare of Dare Enterprises, in Starbucks last Sunday. The two sat and talked. They walked down to the beach hand-in-hand. They were caught kissing when an anonymous person followed them from the café. It has been only two months since Vicky Marks, member of The Demigods, announced the two were dating on her channel on YouTube. Is Percy Jackson cheating?" She ended. There was a picture of me and Annabeth next to each other in a selfie we took. Then beside it was me and Rachel kissing. It looked as if the person took it from behind us.
*Flashback*
It was a Sunday. Percy and Rachel decided to meet up in Starbucks and take a walk down the beach. Percy waited in the café until Rachel came in with paint-splattered jeans and a flannel shirt.
"Hey!" She saw him and waved. She made her way over to the table he was sitting in. He was wearing a baseball hat and shades, which he took off as she walked.
" Hi!" Percy said as he put his shades on the table. "I placed the order."
"Okay, that's cool." She said. Percy tapped his leg up and down nervously.
"So…" Rachel said.
"So…" He repeated and nodded.
"So…" She repeated again. An awkward silence followed.
"How long are we going to do...this?" She said laughing. Percy laughed with her. Their names were called by the barista.
"I'll get it." She said and walked towards the counter. She came back with two cups, which she put down onto the table, and sat down again.
They talked about various things, slowly finishing their drinks. Once they were done, they left together.
"Let's go to the beach." Rachel said suddenly.
"Huh?" Percy said, looking at her strangely. Not that he was upset, he would be glad to stay by the ocean forever if he could.
"I said let's go to the beach." She said and pulled him towards the beach. She slipped her hand into his and they walked. In the middle, Rachel took off her shoes and threw them beside her as they sat down.
"Percy? What should a girl do if she likes a guy and the guy likes the girl too but he is too dumb to do something?" Rachel asked after a while.
"Uh…." Percy said lamely. His heart was beating too fast for some reason. She turned towards him and their noses were just inches away from each other. She leaned in and before he could understand what was happening they were kissing. Then she leaned away.
"That," Percy said dreamily. She laughed and her red curls bounced as she put his head on his shoulder.
*Flashback ends*
"Oh, gods. I should have not left my shades in the cafe.
"What?" Jason said looking shocked.
"Percy! You have to be more responsible. Look at what happened now!" Nico yelled.
"Man! You've lost your only chance with-." Leo started and as the rest glared at him he shut up. I looked at them confused.
"With who?" I asked.
"W-with R-Rachel! With Rachel!" He stammered. The rest sighed. There was definitely something going on here. I shrugged it off and walked into another room, where I took the call off mute.
"Did you see?" She said. I could almost imagine her biting her nails right now.
"I did."
"So?"
"So?"
"Stop it, Percy! Call Annabeth! Ask her." She said with a sigh at the end.
"I-I- you call her." I stammered.
"Why?"
"We're not on speaking terms right now."
"Listen. Annabeth is the only person who can fix this and you're her best friend. Just do it. Okay?" She asked. Best friend. Yeah, as if!
"O-Okay," I said.
"And Percy? I like you." I was shocked. What? I liked her too. I must have stopped speaking for a while.
"Percy?" She sounded nervous.
"I like you too," I said. I heard a sigh.
"Bye." She said.
"Bye," I repeated.
This is not happening. Was I dreaming? I pinched myself just to make sure. And yes, it hurt. Did that mean we were boyfriend and girlfriend? I never had one before. Okay, maybe some but not serious ones and I think Rachel was serious. I walked out of the room to the guys.
"What happened?" Frank asked.
I said something intelligent, "Ugh-bugh."
"Yo! Are you alright?" I heard Leo's voice. I looked at him and suddenly remembered I could speak.
"Yeah. I'm alright." I remembered that I needed to call Annabeth. Something I was starting to dread.
"I need to make a call," I said and walked back into the room.
With trembling fingers, I dialed her number. It rang.
Annabeth:
I walked upstairs and knocked on Thalia's door. I heard something fall and some sounds and then the door opened to reveal Thalia.
"Hey, Thals. Ready for a girls' night?" I said happily.
"Oh heck yeah!" She said and walked back into her room. I waited and she came out wearing cotton shorts and a pajama shirt. I raised my eyebrow at her.
"Hey! I gotta be comfy at least!" She said and walked out. I followed her, chuckling.
"That was when my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID, Percy. My heart dropped into my stomach. Of all the people I wanted to talk to, he was the last one. I took a deep breath. I was debating whether or not to answer it when Thalia nudged me in the ribs.
p"Hey, talk to him. I'll call the others." She said and walked off. I finally answered it, sitting down near the door of my bedroom.
"Annabeth?" He sounded nervous.
"Yeah. It's me." I said in a very low voice.
"Um... Okay. First of all, I'm sorry if I did anything wrong that pushed you away from me." He said.
"No. No. It was me, it wasn't you at all. Okay?" I said hastily. Of course, he thought it was his fault.
"So… are we good?" he asked. I smiled.
"We're good," I replied.
" Now," I could hear him taking a deep breath. "Look a the video I sent you... now."
"Okay." I heard my phone ping.
I opened the video. As I heard more and more of what he did, I got more and more irritated. Finally, it ended.
"PERSEUS JACKSON!" I yelled into the phone.
"Yeah?" His voice sounded squeaky.
"Do you have no brain at all? What in the Hades, Percy?" I asked.
"Um…" He said.
"I don't care right now. Meet me now! We need to talk to Apollo." I said.
"Okay." He replied. I ended the call and started to think. The best plan was either to pretend it didn't happen. But as I looked through Instagram, I could see in every corner the same news. People were throwing hate at Rachel and worse, at Percy.
The second plan was for me and Percy to break up and let him be happy with Rachel. I guess that was the only choice. I sighed heavily. Then some type of anger boiled inside me at Rachel.
Apollo and Artemis were going to kill him. I thought.
A/N Yes too short and mostly only conversations. But anything is better than nothing, right? My next update will be the week after the next. I have so much work. We have Formative Assessments from today and they won't end until the 10th. I've got a lot on my plate right now. But forgive me k? This writing gig's hard.
