"Nervous?" Ink asked as she noticed.
"Huh?" Rust blinked as he is crossing his arms against his chest as he taps his human thumb against his metal arm. "Uh...yeah...sort of."
"Nervous about meeting Libra?" She asked.
"Ugh...yeah..ya can say that." Rust sighed as he doesn't know why. "I don't know...maybe because I meet some people with same powers like me? I mean... I shouldn't be nervous; I mean come on...I picked a fight with Zapp because he diss the whole team." He frowned. "I don't know..do you think I made a right call here, Ink?"
"Hmmm..." Ink taps her finger against her chin before grinning, "I don't know! But if anything, it's your decision Rust and I want to support you all the way. If anything, you might fight some strong guys in Libra and learn some new powers."
"Ha! Thanks!" Rust can't help but laugh. The way Ink answers some tough questions made him kind of laugh and feel relaxed.
"Rust, me and the team want to let you know that we cared." Ink said seriously which got him blinking. "When you went missing, I don't know...I was really worry and want to fight anyone who took you away. Even if it's Libra or Blood Breed. No matter how strong they are, we always fight like hell to get our friends back." Ink then tightens her fist, "that's why if this doesn't go well, then I'm going to show them that I'm no dragon for show!"
"Ha. Ya and me both! I ain't called Machine Destroyer for nothin either." Rust chuckles as he looks up in the sky. "Heck...if this goes well then I make sure I get strong to protect you and everyone else on the team."
"That's what I want to hear!" Ink smiled brightly as she puts him on the back, happy that she cheered Rust up. Rust stares at the sky, "Ink, I know ya always go with the flow, but what do you really think of Libra, honestly?" He asked her.
"Huh, well... they're really strong. Their blood powers are kind of cool. But...for some reason...one of them is different." Ink asked as she racks her head. Rust raised a brow, "Different? How-"
"Don't know but I gotta find out especially meeting their boss!" Ink grinned. Rust can't help but laughing. "Same here? I mean...I hope none of them are that bad."
"Well, well, well...you guys seem happy for some reason despite the shit happened last night." The teens stopped talked as they heard the familiar voice. It was Zapp whim grumbled as he approaches them along with Leo and Zed.
"But...we got this asshole..." Rust grumbled which got Ink snickering.
"The hell do you say?" Zapp narrows his eyes.
"Nothin..." Rust replied.
"Tch...whatever...now get your asses up and follow us." Zapp clicked his tongue and turns his back.
"Hey guys! Nice to see you again!" Ink said happily.
"Oh hi!" Leo gives a sheephisly smile while Zed nods in greeting to them both. The duo follows the trio.
And where was the rest of the team? All spread out. Navarro, Oblivion and Fosh are in a café from several feet away. Maggie, Gerald, and Jaron are on the bench. Taz is in the trees while Ophelia and Hellmare are reading or pretends to be. They were all watching. It was pretty obvious to the agents.
"And can you tell the rest of your dumbass friends that they're ain't in some cop show?" Zapp can't help but roll their eyes. The only person that isn't visible is Shdwkyz as he is pretty good at hiding in the shadows.
"Sorry! They're just worried but we tell them that we're going to be okay." Ink laughs much to Zapp's annoyance. The group is out of the park leaving their friends behind. The team knows they can't follow them so they're going to trust Rust and Ink on this.
The duo was silent as they walked several blocks by now. Leo is becoming worried the teens aren't saying anything. Do they really don't trust them much? He couldn't blame them since they crashed their party.
Still, they looked pretty tense as if they're walking into some kind of fight. Maybe...I should loosen them up so they think that we aren't the bad guys here. Leo thought. "So Rust and Ink, does you and your friends always go after rich people?"
"Not all of them!" Ink answered chirpy. "We only go after the bad one's scammed people and use their money hurting other people." She stated.
"So, the owner of penthouse was a con-artist?" Leo knew the answer to that question but Libra needs to know that the DBT isn't some kind of group that likes to cause trouble and chaos for fun. Even though, it looks like that on the surface. Libra has researched records where their vandalism is towards white-collar criminals and most of the time, these crimes are exposed to the law.
"Yeah! That guy was a con-artist! That guy is a dirtbag that scams old people out of money thanks to his friends and help drug dealers to store their drugs. If anything, he's really is scumbag." Rust frowned. Ink nodded in agreement.
"So why did you throw a party at his house instead of giving the police some evidence first?" Leo questioned.
"We did!" Ink stated. "Partying is part of it!"
"How so?" Zed is curious to know. Ink brings up a finger as if she is about to say something but then she pauses and grins at them. "Can't tell you!" She wags her finger, "It's a secret!" She giggled while Rust smirked.
The teens knew how. Creating a big mess where everything is seen by the police followed by hacking the funds of the scammer thanks to Fosh and Hellmare.
"And how does that help the victims?" Zed asked. Now that's a good question. Leo wanted to know how it help. Sure, it brings some justice since Daniel Law got hold of the documents from the mess thanks to vault that looks to be out ripped out in one of the rooms.
"We just give some of their property back to them! No problems!" Ink answered right away.
"Well...you ain't going to try that shit here." Zapp said suddenly as he halts and turns around to face them. Where there are less people on the streets since they're getting close. "Especially you!" He pointed at Rust, "If you're going to join Libra, your Robin-Hood bullshit is not going to fly there. We don't accept some punk ass from some gang who throws parties and wreck shit around for the shit and giggles. In Libra, we risked our lives every day to make sure that nothing goes out of wack here! Keeping the shit in order if you know what I mean. In this city, I pretty damn sure you two know has a high-fatality rate. And you two! From where I heard, you guys gone to places that you aren't supposed to go. I'm surprised that your team isn't dead yet!" Zapp stared at them as if they're in trouble. "So...I want to make sure that you aren't punk asses before we're bringing you in, got it?." He said before hitting the wall with a fist, creating a crack.
This is similar what he said to me. Leo thought as he remembers when he was looking for Libra and he joined the organization on the very same day. Leo is surpised that the two didn't give a reaction as if they knew what Zapp is talking about. The duo nods their heads.
"Now any questions before we continue?" Zapp crossed his arms smugly.
"I got one!" Ink raised her hand.
"What?" Zapp frowned.
"Shouldn't we be blindfolded?"
…...
Record scratched...
"Huh?" Zapp blinked.
"You guys did say that you're a secret organization and it kind of remind me that your location should be secret right?" Ink pointed out. Rust look dumbfounded then he blinks as he now nods, realizing it now. "Oh yeah!"
…...
Or not... Leo thought then looks over to Zapp who looked like he's going to pop a vein right now!
"Fish sticks...just blindfolded them..." Zapp groaned. Zed nods and uses his blood arts to create a huge strip of blindfolds using paper. "Close your eyes, please." Zed tells them as the teens closed their eyes as the paper were wrapped around their heads.
"Here... let me help you guys." Leo takes both of their hands in each hand, guiding them to alleyway to where the headquarters are. They have to take elevator first to get to the office. Where they're going down or up?
"As I was saying..." Zapp huffed, "Libra ain't some place you think you can party at and do your job half-assed! You got to live your life as secret and haul your ass every day, you got that! There ain't no time to fool around!"
Why do I think that Zapp is talking a lot of shit... Leo deadpanned as the duo's faces were blank. Aren't they worried?
"So...if even you're a newbie like Leonardo here."
Hah?! Leonardo just frowned at him and Zapp just continues, ignoring him.
"You gotta pull your weight around even if you're just a kid!" Zapp said. As the elevator came to a stop, they got off where Zed released the blindfolds from their faces. "Now you can open their eyes." He tells them gently to which the teens opened their eyes to see double doors in front of them.
Zed goes forward and knocks on the door, "We're back." He enters not before letting Ink and Rust in first.
Then there he was.
Klaus Von Reinherz standing tall in his white shirt with a red tie like his hair and side burns. He has black waistcoat under along with black pants with brown dress shoes. His vibrant green eyes behind his glasses gazed at them both. Ink and Rust would be lying if they didn't get the chills when seeing him. The man came forward with a hand on his chest and greets them,
"Hello. Welcome to Libra."
