Series Title: Walk a Mile in My Shoes
Title: The Damaged Bond
Part Two
By: Saiyura/Serabelus (Ao3)
Think of this based on the Multiverse from Spiderman.
I had a feeling this would happen. I also was confused when I began to write this. If you are confused about the Suinzain family and how they are apart of this 'universe' then it's all because of the parents.
Villana Suinzain (Mother), Age 47: Quirk: Teleportation (large quirk, portal)
Allvan Suinzain (Father), Age 59: Quirk: Dimension portal
The mother is similar to Kurogiri's quirk, able to transport the entire family in their universe.
The father is able to create a portal that transports the family to different universes. He is able to identify the 'basis' of the world that he is tapping into. He typically keeps the family he sends to similar 'feeling' type worlds: Villain based and ran almost. So they are parallel worlds that suit the world and his family's idealogy. The world that our Aizawa Shouta is in is a 'Hero based' feeling world meaning yin and yang. They are not meant to 'cross'.
If there are more confusions I will do my best to explain better.
Chapter One: Take my Heart, I Failed It.
Inspired by Song: So Big/So Small by Rachel Bay Jones: Dear Evan Hansen
Aizawa Shouta felt numb as he laid tied to the bed hating the fact that his eyes were covered and mouth taped shut with a cotton 'ball', god Aizawa hoped it was just that and nothing else, shoved in his mouth to limit his vocal range better. He was breathing as steady as he could through his nose and it was not easy to keep this calm when everything around Aizawa was crumbling down. Aizawa blamed himself more than he ever could anything, anyone, else. The prior events ran through Aizawa's head like a never ending movie from some old world horror show. The entire way it played had Aizawa feeling wrong because it just felt too fast. Just as if all of it was planned to be limited in everything. The moment Aizawa thought of it all from the bathroom where Sagje had been to the kitchen Aizawa's husband, Yamada Hizashi, laid bleeding out was a film reel that was dragging Aizawa mentally to his breaking limit.
Atop of all of it was Sagje and that was still something new to him. A brother.
Aizawa turned his head when he heard two consecutive 'shifts' that didn't sound to be normal but the voices' he did recognize. The first being his brother, Suinzain Shouta or also known as Sagje, who had stumbled over to the bed almost as if it was instinctive to do and laid down on Aizawa's right side curling up and fisting the fabric on Aizawa's chest. The second sound that came was of the woman, Twilla, who was snarling and hissing out words before the bed dipped when a few feet shuffled out and the door slammed after loud 'choice' words were spat out.
"Shouta, brother." Aizawa listened to this 'Twilla' soothingly call out to Sagje in a soft, almost caring tone, but so far it was obvious that this 'Twilla' was probably one of the only if not the barely few, or none, that cared in this 'adoptive' family Aizawa's brother had been thrust into at a young age.
"Twilla, I'm sorry... I didn't-. I really didn't think it was going to go that bad. I would have left sooner if I knew." Sagje was crying into Aizawa's shoulder leaving Aizawa worried about what they had talked about while 'alone' with Hizashi. That was another issue that Aizawa's heart was crying over. Hizashi, Aizawa's husband, was left bleeding on the floor of their kitchen and was dying alone knowing his own 'Husband' had been kidnapped by villains for 'extortion' of information.
Villains who raised and abused Aizawa Shouta's little brother, raped and degraded the boy, drugged and were planning on 'forcing' him to have a child because he was 'compromised' in their eyes by affection aimed at Heroes. Maybe it was all planned as well to have Sagje die and just blame it on something else. Aizawa really didn't like the idea that the older Sagje had gotten the less 'valuable' he became to these monsters.
"Sagje," The voice was softer as they leaned down dipping the bed more, "I know this sucks. I know this whole thing isn't how we planned it or usually go about gathering information but our family still needs this. It's the only thing we need before we can go home."
And there went any respect he had towards 'Twilla' for wanting to be a 'sister'. She was using the 'soft loving' method to coerce Sagje into doing what was obviously something the boy was not really 'wanting' to do.
"But you'll hurt him." Sagje whined. "I know Alain isn't in a good mood. Parker isn't either." Sagje lifted his head away from Aizawa's shoulder and Aizawa really wanted to know what was going on that he wasn't grasping. "I've never seen Twil like that, Twilla. I've never seen him lash out violently."
Twilla sighed sitting away, "Neither have I, really, little brother. It's hard for me to see my own twin with a similar face to malicious. I've never assumed he... he shared the same traits as the other men in our family."
"Why did he attack Yamada like that?" Aizawa almost tensed up as he took a deep breath in because Sagje sounded so broken, so beaten down that Aizawa didn't know what caused it but fear for Hizashi grew. "He was-."
"Uncle visited." Aizawa curiously waited for more answers.
"Why would he visit?" Sagje sounded confused now and Aizawa felt the same way as his younger brother.
"Apparently something happened, Shou. Something that set everyone off badly. May doesn't know nor does Tinra but the others. It set them on high alert. It's why we need to get this done fast." Twilla was speaking a little faster, "Mother... I overheard this, Shou, but Mother was taken. He took it from her, Shou, he took Mother's quirk."
Aizawa Shouta was one of the best Underground Heroes and in recent months better and understanding what lurked in the shadows. This was a topic only recently broken to the staff after the USJ and so many other things involving the camp and more. Aizawa laid in the bed staring up into the fabric and felt himself sick with fear, horrified that the only reason he ever learned about his missing family was because of a Villain so old that time purposefully forgot his name. The Villain that rivaled All Might. Aizawa Shouta could not for the life of him find out why these people were looking into All For One.
"She's..." Sadje's voice was so soft, so panic filled, that Aizawa knew that given everything that happened before Aizawa's kidnapping and the bathroom incident the kid wasn't over his panic from before and shock that came from the aftermath of Aizawa's stupidity.
"Father doesn't think Mother will make it, Shou. That's why we need this information. We need to figure out how to strike back. Anything." Twilla leaned forward and the feeling of hair on his cheek startled him, "You know what that means, Shouta."
"I do." those two words spoke volumes as Sadje curled back into Aizawa's side, "Anything else I should know, sister?"
"I'm pretty sure you're smart enough to know, Sadje, what is going to happen now." The weight on the bed lifted, "But I suggest you explain to the 'doll' what is to happen. Maybe if you do a good enough job the ending will be the same for him as the other 'dolls'."
The tense grip on his hair, Sadje had slid one up into Aizawa's hair after curling up more into Aizawa's side, had given away fear in Sadje more than his body that was vibrating next to him with unease. The door opened and shut leaving, Aizawa hoped, just Sadje and himself alone.
"I'm sorry." those words didn't need to be spoken and they didn't need to be spoken with such a bawling effect as they were repeated for several minutes before Sadje seemed to gather up himself and the weight on his side shifted to weight on his hips, straddling... Sadje was straddling him now, and the weight on his chest. It wasn't uncomfortable, Hizashi did this occasionally but it wasn't something indulged in. Aizawa's head turned downwards for a few seconds before words began to be spoken.
And here is the kicker, Aizawa inwardly hysterically laughed out, he never in his mind would have assumed that would happen to him. Here he listened to Sagje speak in a soft tone, even and devoid of emotion, about what was going to happen right now. One of Sagje's sister's was going to 'switch their minds', Doll now made so much more sense in terms of what they called him, and he was going to be in Sagje's body at the 'hands' of the bastards who harm Sagje daily. Anything goes in their eyes because it was 'Sagje's body' leaving the main one alone for Sagje to go about the life of the person he was mimicking. In this case Aizawa Shouta.
Blood King was right. Sagje had been mimicking how he acted and it was because he knew that Aizawa was the person he would be 'targeting'. That... dulled a bit of the affection he felt, he had to admit this with some heavy acidic sting in his heart, the affection he had towards the idea of his 'brother'. The realization he was being 'used' and was going to, without ability to stop it, gather information and betray every single person he knew like this.
Aizawa Shouta felt a growing rage in his gut and some amount of disgust. It was directed towards Sagje but also more so towards the family Sagje considered 'family'.
And to Aizawa's not surprise Sagje was still after the final word was given keeping himself almost so easily hidden on top that the weight could be explained away as not there in Aizawa's mind. Nothing came out of these thoughts until he realized that Sagje was stiff, afraid, and Aizawa felt how tense he had become by the final word of what was going to happen to Aizawa's body. What Aizawa was going to be 'forced' into. The feeling of Sagje on him was lifted and the bed dipped before all the weight that wasn't on him was gone. The sound of the floor creaked a slump hit against an obvious wall, before Sagje's voice was heard, "I know they're going to kill me after this mission."
And whatever emotion that Aizawa felt was washed away at the resignation in Sagje's voice.
"I know I'm no longer 'valuable'. I could see it in Twil's face the moment he realized I 'cared' about Yamada and you, Aizawa-san." The honorific to his name and not Hizashi's had Aizawa horrified because that meant that what little 'faith' or 'love' Sagje was beginning to have towards Aizawa was now gone, broken. Because Aizawa was stupid and didn't realize Sagje didn't have a choice! He was disgusted, angry, but Sagje was the one forced into this.
"But-!" The sheer amount of forced joy in the words hit Aizawa with a remainder of 1-A's problem child. "I did make sure Yamada was alright! I did stop the bleeding from being life threatening!" And Aizawa felt his insides crumble. The boy was trying to soothe him, to make him feel comfort in all of this. "And if I don't mess up again, if I stay on task..." The hope that was shaking in the boy's voice had Aizawa turning his head in the direction begging him not to say anything more. "I can definitely make sure you leave safe. I can't promise anything more, Aizawa-san, but I promise you'll go home, back, to him. You two... are so nice together."
Yes, Aizawa realized he screwed up. Yes, Aizawa Shouta realized that this boy needed him more than Aizawa needed the rage he felt directed at those who held him captive. Yes, Aizawa Shouta was being selfish in that as he laid there the sound of rustling stopped and Sagje had to have rested, Aizawa wanted to go home to Hizashi more than he felt the need to save Suinzain Shouta.
What a fucking disgraceful Hero he was.
