Chapter 18 The Don

(Location: Seventh Heaven Bar Sector 7 slums Midgar Planet Gaia)

There are many types of people Barret doesn't like. Cocky arrogant idiots that can't back up what they claim, perverts, Corneo of Wall Market, anyone that works for Shinra which its a must and anyone that works for the press. The press will always put him in a bad mood whenever he will see a news broadcast that is not with his ideals. Not to mention they were sucking up to Shinra always praising and supporting them. Kissing their asses is their specialty. That's why he will never like them or get along with them. It was the reason why he had a rough time accepting the ex-SOLDIER Cloud. But boy was her wrong. Realizing that the merc is really a good person at heart, he was able to put his trust on him.

So here he stood seated in one of the bars tables doing an interview with one of those ass kissers. He actually agreed to do this because the information he got helped Jessie. Now they know Shinra was responsible for the destruction of Reactor 1. It wasn't the work of the brunette's bomb. For that he owes Jaune and of course the one who provided the surveillance footage. The one interviewing him. The dark skinned kept staring at the journalist Emma who kept writing on her note pad. Question after question she asked him, it was starting to annoy him. But he will suck it in because he gave his word to do this. The waiting was killing him though. Just how long was she planning to write. It's as she was getting ready to write a damn book.

As long as she doesn't ask him personal questions, it will be fine with him. She kinda did and he refuse to give an answer a couple of times. Did she learned her lesson. Maybe, considering, that she immediately went to a different question afterwards. Maybe she wasn't one of those noisy up to no good types. Jaune did told her that she quit the big paper the Midgar Planet Star because she was sick of the same information. Considering it as being" biased", he can agreed on that part. Shinra were all scum with the press and media backing them up. Spreading their lies to the people, blinding them from the truth. Only ones to trust are the ones who have earned it. That's how it should be.

Still, he wasn't going to ignore that she's attractive. Okay maybe a little too attractive. He was a man and he will not cast aside his instincts to know when there was a looker present. Even if she used to be with the press that are on Shinra's leash. The Avalanche leader gazed at the curse jar next to him. He brought it up before the start of the interview. Ruby isn't here but he kinda promised the silver eyed girl that he will put one gil for every bad word he says. Emma has spotted the jar and mentally smiled. At least he's trying to set a positive example of what to say and what not to say. So he wasn't just a foul mouthed arrogant man with a superiority complex. There was more to him than she thought.

"Do you believe in Avalanche's vision?"

"Of course I do. What kind of stupid question is that?"

"And what would that be?"

"To save the planet! We vowed to save it from Shinra and anyone that threatens it."

"And destroying mako reactors is the way to save it?"

"I'm not expecting you to understand lady. Mako is the source of life, it's the blood of this planet and without it, it will die."

"Do you justify your actions?"

"Hell yeah!"

"Do you support any act of terrorism?"

"I don't."

Emma paused on her writing gazing at the dark skinned man with a raised eyebrow.

"What?"

"You justified any act committed by your group and yet, you're against terrorism. Can you explain to me the difference?"

"I know our actions seem like it can be consider an act of terrorism, I won't deny it. But our reasons are just. I wasn't happy finding out Shinra are destroying their reactors to use us for tools for war and I'm not happy with part of Sector 8 getting caught in the explosion. One of my companions blamed herself for thinking it was her doing. We don't want to destroy cities only, the mako reactors that are been used to suck the planet dry."

The woman gave a nod writing on her notepad" tell me more about mako. Do you truly believe the planet will die if Shinra resume their actions?"

"That's another stupid question. Shinra are using the reactors to suck the mako from the planet. It will eventually be over if they keep it up. The source will not last forever. They're not going to stop so we have no choice but to do things by force. If you want to blame someone, take it up on them, not us."

"Do you have evidence?"

Barret was starting to get annoyed. Just how many more questions he will have to answer.

"You said mako won't last forever. Meaning, it is not an infinite source. Do you have any proof to prove your claim?"

"You're starting to get on my nerves lady. I don't like where this is going. Or maybe, I just don't like you."

"Because I'm a journalist?"

"That, and because you're asking too many questions."

"This is an interview. I'm suppose to be asking you questions. I don't have to remind you that you agreed to do this as part of the agreement I made with one of your members. Jaune Arc. I showed the surveillance footage of Reactor 1 in exchange for an interview with you. Are you going to break your word?"

The man only mumble something, remaining silent.

"I will repeat my previous question. Do you have proof that mako isn't an infinite source?"

The one armed man finally snapped, getting up from his seat hitting the table as it sounded like it was about to break. Yet, Emma, wasn't phased by his action.

"You want proof!? Go outside! Do you see any plants, flowers, trees, water, real pure water not something that comes from a shitty filter? You don't see any of those because the mako is being taken by force. Nature is the gift of the planet for us and were being ungrateful for it. How do we repay it? By sucking the mako for energy, power. Source we don't need! We can live without it if we put our minds to it. All we need is food, water and a roof under our heads, that's all. If it means sacrificing our home, for this…."

He pointed to the turned on lights. Anything that needs mako energy given by the Shinra Electric Power Company.

"I sure hell prefer to destroy reactors if we get to live forever in the dark. It ain't worth it killing our planet for the source of electricity. Never…."

He got seated while the journalist kept staring at him with an intense expression. Many thoughts race through her head. But she went back to write.

"So to answer your damn question. I'm not expecting you to believe me. Take it with a grain of salt for all I care for. But know this, we don't do something, Shinra will take all the mako, draining the planet, sending it to it's doom. Because if it dies...We die with it."

"I didn't formed Avalanche to take the lives of people. We just want to keep the planet safe. But as long as those goddamn reactors are standing, or Shinra for the matter. The planet will be in danger. They are our enemy not Midgar, not the city, the Sectors, the slums. Just the company itself. Not the employees but the head of the snake that is running the show. President Shinra. I forced no one to join this group and my cause because, my cause is OUR cause! They chose on their own free will not to work for me, or the people but for the planet."

She nodded resuming writing.

"And now they're using us for war. We have never work for Wutai but for ourselves."

"Say that you succeed in your mission. Will you take responsibility for the high amount of collateral damage your group will cause?"

"Collateral Damage? What the hell are you talking about?"

"If you manage to destroy all the mako reactors then the entire city will shut down. All of Midgar will be defenseless. Homes won't be just left without any power but transportation and machinery will stop working. There will be no security and we will be leaving ourselves wide open for an enemy attack. Wutai might make the first move to invade rather than Shinra. Like it or not Mr. Wallace you will be helping them in their goals, not yours."

Barret was glaring at her through his shades. And she was right he hated that more.

"The mako reactors are gone collateral damage is inevitable. Not just from an outside attack but from the inside. Well not really an attack, but rather an incident. As all the slums from the eight Sectors of Midgar will be destroy."

"What are you talking about!? The slums will be fine! We'll make sure nothing happens to them!"

"The plates will fall on them."

The dark skinned man stood shocked. The realization hitting him hard like a cold slap to the face.

"Have you forgotten the devices that are keeping the plates intact are powered by mako energy? You take down the reactors and those devices will no longer be operating properly. Allowing them to drop the plates on the slums. It might take time for it to happen though, since they have the backup reactors but those are not potent enough compare to the main ones. I'm sure you can imagine the number of casualties from the incident and how worse it will get if Wutai does decide to invade during all of this commotion. If that happens then, there won't be no need to worry about the well being of the planet. It won't be Shinra that will end us Mr. Wallace, only Avalanche…."

"…...…...…..."

"That will be enough" she got up from her seat" I appreciate you took your time to do this interview and answer my questions Mr. Wallace. You have no idea how much you have helped me. This is indeed a good start."

"…"

"Would you like to know my personal opinion?"

He didn't replied but gave a slow nod.

"I want to believe you, I want to believe in Avalanche. Your cause sounds just. I don't know how you will pull it off or how you will prevent the plates from falling. You sound more honest than anyone I've met. I've interviewed far worse than you mainly, workers from Shinra. I was able to tell all the lies that spewed from their teeth. That could be the reason why I quit the Midgar Planet Star. I want you to succeed. Taking your side feels refreshing."

"Why are taking my side anyway?" he finally spoke.

A chuckle escaped her lips as she adjusted her glasses.

"I hate Shinra too."

"…...…."

"Barret!"

The man snapped from whatever day dream he was in from staring at Emma. Turning to see Jessie looking very frantic.

"What is it?"

"It's Shinra! HQ scouts spotted dozens of choppers and it looks like they're heading here!"

"Shit!" he went to put two gil on the curse jar because he did said a bad word during the interview.

"Tell everyone to be on high alert for anything! Gather groups to start evacuating civilians!"

"Right!" the brunette left in a hurry.

"What is going on? Is Shinra planning to attack the slums? Have they lost their mind? Don't they have any idea how many people will die if this place turns into a battlefield?"

"Stop asking too many questions lady. Get out of here and meet up with the people so you can get to safety."

"I refuse. There must be something I can do."

"This isn't gathering info or interviewing someone. If you have zero fighting experience then you would only be getting in the way."

"Maybe I can help in some other way. Please, let me do this. I hate standing around and not do a single thing."

"Fine don't say I didn't warned you. Go after Jessie and help her gather civilians out of here."

"Thank you" the woman smiled as she left.

"I better contact HQ and call for reinforcements just in case. I have a bad feeling about this."

The party was celebrating their victory over the Corneo Cup. Turing out to be a walk in the park for the group. Seriously they have faced worse. They stood in one of the rooms in the back waiting for Madame M to await confirmation. They should get the prize money that will be used to make Aerith's dress. Along with the Madame's approval the florist will be able to participate in the Don's audition. The rest, should be easy once she was in. All that matters is saving Tifa and return to Sector 7. They can finally put this whole mess behind them. Best of all they were reunited with Cloud and Aerith. Ruby and Jaune thought of taking the florist with them specially, now that Shinra was after her. Maybe finally telling the merc and the others about her being an Ancient.

"Now that that's over, we can go save Tifa" said the florist.

"So we'll head back to Madame M's, get you changed and then it's off to Corneo's" said Cloud.

"Right!

"Sounds easy enough" replied Jaune.

"Hold on Tifa. Just wait a little longer" Ruby smiled.

Of course the Huntress hasn't forgotten the brawler lying to her. She didn't told her about her plan to go after the Don. Doing things her own is truly reckless. Will see what she has to say when she sees. The petite wasn't happy but she is worried for her safety.

"Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But...You still have one fight left" Madame M arrived using her fan.

"What do you mean?"

The Arc and the reaper didn't know what was going on. They were sure the won and done with the matches. It was the same thing with the merc.

"The crowd loved your show a little too much. People were placing hefty bets, much heftier than you can possibly imagine. Corneo's going to milk this for as much as he can."

"Meaning what?" asked the ex-SOLDIER.

"More bets placed, more gil on his pockets. We're not out of this one until we fight in the next match" said the Arc.

"Pretty much. You face and defeat Corneo's fighter of choice, and only then will you be declare winners of the tournament."

Ruby sighed in annoyance. Does it always has to be this complicated. They did exactly what they've told. They won the three matches but now, they have to fight an extra one.

"Hey! That wasn't the deal!" argued Aerith.

"Don't you think I know that!?" she has suddenly snapped anger flaring high" you greedy bastard! Scum-sucking piece of shit festering asshole!"

Jaune and Ruby stood wide eyed at her outburst. The silver eyed girl thought Barret had a potty mouth on him but oh boy, she was so wrong. Maybe Madame M should have her own curse jar.

"But that's the way it is" and she calmed down" Corneo's the one who makes the rules around here. But if you win this match, Corneo will have to accept your victory. And the crowd will make sure he does."

"So this is the last one?" Cloud wasn't happy but he wanted to make sure there aren't any strings attached.

"I sure hope so."

"Not like we have a choice. We won't be getting to prize money if we don't win the tournament. We won't be able to have Aerith's dress" said the Arc.

"And we won't be able to save Tifa" followed the petite.

"Tonight's Corneo Cup has been a spectacle like no other And we share your disappointment, ladies and gentlemen, when we told you it was coming to an end" said Scotch.

"But nobody felt it more keenly than one Don Corneo...Who has decided that a bonus match is in order!"

The crowd was cheering so loud, many were holding their newly betting tickets. They were dying to get their hands on lots of money.

"Participating in this match will be this evening's leading lights-the dynamic group that has crushed all competition thus far! Cloud, Aerith, Jaune and Ruby!"

The four members emerged after the double gates opened. The crowd exploded when they were shown. Cheering their names taking them by surprise. They could hear chanting Cloud's name, telling Aerith to marry them. Jaune blushed hearing girls wanting him to be their boyfriend. Something he wasn't getting use to. Having fan girls might be a headache to some but not to him. Seriously the feeling of hearing them admiring you even if they don't know crap about you is a good feeling. It was the same with Ruby being called" The Crimson Reaper" or "Deadly Red Riding Hood". Names that made her smiled. She could get used to this popular thing.

"Their opponent! Buried in the bowels of the colosseum...An unspeakable horror, long imprisoned, set free tonight for your entertainment! The secret star of Don Corneo's stellar stable!"

"Enter: The Hell House!"

"The what-?" Jaune started.

The ground of the middle started opening. Turning out to be a big door that will go underground of the colosseum. They announcers did said their opponents is from said place. As the gate opened a lot of smoke came, coming from below. The party had to covered their eyes and nose. How dirty it was down there. It was hard to see as something was rising until it stopped. Whatever it was, it was now standing in the middle of the arena. When the smoke cleared, they stood in thought. What was standing before them. This was probably the last thing they were expecting.

"It's just...A house" said the florist.

The small house started moving, shocking the group.

"That's no ordinary house!" said the ex-SOLDIER.

"It's alive!" gasped Ruby.

"Seriously, what kind of opponent is this?" followed Jaune.

"The manifestation of pure evil versus the most bad ass couples this side of Midgar-have ever seen a fight more incredible, more epic!" said Kotch.

"You have not! No sir, no you have not!"

"They'll be singing songs about tonight for generations to come!"

"Keep your eyes glued to the action, ladies and gentlemen!"

"The Cups' final, final battle...Begins...Now!"

(Music: "Hell House" from the FFVIIR original soundtrack)

The living house made the first move releasing missiles that came from the windows. They thought they were missiles only, to see they were chairs. Freaking chairs from a table. It was no joke as some of them exploded as it was the real thing. The party was shocked at this. A big house that was alive was attacking them with furniture. The four dodged the explosive chairs with little trouble. Before it was charging, attempting to tackle them. It was still so hard to believe there was such thing as a living house. It has to be a robot mech thing. Though they highly doubt something like this would never be build by Shinra. Leaving them with Corneo being the only one capable of. They even gave it the right name considering how vicious it's attacks are.

It didn't mattered if it was a house or a monster, or anything they have faced before. It was an enemy and they needed to take it down if they want to win that prize money. Cloud ordered to focus on physical attacks until it tries something. Jaune and Ruby nodded following his lead. Aerith supported them with magic, casting fire and ice. So far, it wasn't that much of a threat asides it's Chair Salvo attack. It got hit hard as it went to stagger faster than they thought. The four kept on attacking doing a lot of harm to the giant house. After a few combos that house ha suddenly stopped. It wasn't attacking, it wasn't moving, it was just standing there, doing nothing. The ex-SOLDIER told the florist to keep their guard up, this could be a trap to make them lower their guard.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" started Scotch.

"What is happening!?" followed Kotch.

The party gasped as the Hell House released four long mechanical arms upwards and in the middle, short mechanical legs a total of four. And a big round head in the middle section. The new transformed house charged at them, going at impressive speed. Using it's long arms to move itself at its opponents.

"MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!" shouted the Arc.

The four members went their separating evading the mighty charge of the creatures. Ruby used her semblance to get Aerith to saqfety, while Jaune and Cloud weren't doing so good. Both were about to get caught by it's attack. Immediately, they blocked using their aura for support. Though it was blocked, it still hurt like hell. It felt like getting hit by the Airbuster. If they weren't careful with this one they could get in serious trouble. The living house was attacking using it's middle arms while it was getting hit by ice and fire magic from the florist. Ruby joined her firing her scythe it didn't seemed to be that tough but they couldn't get comfortable. It could be dangerous or worse than they think.

They were still attacking as the Hell House was still using it's mechanical arms. The crowd was cheering so loudly. They were still supporting the party expecting them to win. The House did something unexpected a it jumped so high, surprising them. It landed in the second row making the people panicked, running for their lives. They wanted to get a better look at the action. But, not like this. The mechanical creature fired chair salvo from it's position. Ruby used her semblance to have a close up, performing a combo of scythe and gun, following it up with magic. The others did the same to add more damage to the attacks. While avoiding the flaming chairs or cutting them down with their weapons.

It didn't stood there for too long as it jumped down. The party had to take cover from getting squashed by the House. Behind the Hell House had it's couple of thrusters that were built for increasing speed. Explaining how it can go fast for something so big. It was using to try and roast the group, another thing they needed to avoid. They went with the usual strategy of three using physical attacks with the florist casting magic, supporting from them a distance. Something happened as the mech was surrounded by a round invisible looking shield. Cloud noticed, the same with Jaune. Whatever it was they didn't like it. If it's a shield it could mean it will increased it's defenses making it difficult to land strong hits.

The attack that were connecting with the Hell House weren't doing that much. Their feeling was right after all. That shield was protecting it, or reducing any damage that will receive. Probably cutting it in half. They won't be doing much if it remains. Not knowing how long it will last Cloud gave the call to use stronger attacks. This thing has already shown it was tough and it can take a beating. Aerith went for her summon as she took the materia she received from the merc. The florist has called out the ice beauty Shiva. She emerged casting blizzara to the Hell House, Jaune went with changing Crocea Mors to great sword for heavy damage and Ruby inserted her special ammo for her Reaper Shot.

The bullet hit right on target as the shield was still on, followed by the Arc using aura thrust. Aerith went with blizzara and fira, and Cloud used Cross Slash for more damage. The shield was suddenly gone giving the party the idea that it's not permanent. It remains for a certain period of time. Shiva kept on casting ice magic while the Hell House used it's charge and jump attack. This thing was really showing to be stronger than it looks. It cast the shield again activating God House Mode it wasn't stupid not risking taking heavy hits. If it was going to keep using that shield, it was going to be hard to beat it. It went with chair salvo followed by another charge. The group took cover while the ice summon's time was almost up.

Shiva unleashed her overdrive Diamond Dust as the mech house was covered in a giant icicle before she destroyed it with a kiss. It dealt a lot of damage but not enough to take it down. It still had the shield on and it will immediately cast it, after its gone. Things couldn't get any worse as the Hell House's front door opened releasing a strong current like a vacuum that will pull anyone in. Jaune got caught in it as he went inside it happened so quickly. Ruby gasped seeing how the blond got sucked in. The creature was bouncing lightly before it spit the Huntsman out. Jaune was dizzy and wasn't feeling good. Better not to get caught in that attack. It jumped back into the stands firing chair salvo.

"It's not looking good…."

Cloud knew this was getting out of hand. Looks like winning that prize money wasn't going to be that easy as he thought. Corneo has really thought this one out, picking the opponent that will give them a headache. The only thing that made the Hell House a real pain is that stupid shield. Any kind of attack will be cut in half as long as it's active. The Hell house jumped from the stands landing in the arena again. It changed attacks releasing lightning from it's four arms. It was getting harder for the to avoid while Aerith cast cure. The ex-SOLDIER stood in thought this wasn't helping. If they wanted to overpower it they will have to change their strategy. Attacking with a combination of different attacks could do it. But with that shield, it will be tricky.

"That thing is annoying!" shouted Ruby.

"Annoying and strong" followed Jaune" it swallowed me and then spit me out like I was a bad dish!"

"Doesn't look like it's slowing down" replied Aerith.

"That shield makes it hard to give it a good hit. It doesn't look like it has any weaknesses" said Cloud.

"Look out!"

The group evaded a charge from the House mech. They were now running while the crowd was still cheering for them. At least someone was enjoying the show.

"Hitting it harder isn't doing much unless…." the Arc started as his eyes widened.

"Unless we hit it even harder."

The Huntsman called for them to regroup as the Hell House made a stop from its charge. He used his semblance on Cloud and Ruby. At this point they have no choice but to use every trick on the book against this one. Enhancing their aura was probably the only thing left that might turn this whole thing around. The blond turned to Aerith, he forgot she hasn't had her aura unlock. This wasn't the time for that the three of them will have to do. The House has suddenly started flying all over the arena while firing chair salvo. Now it was getting crazy at what else it can do. All they could do is use magic while it was still flying around. While running, dodging the fiery chairs. All the magic attacks were able to make it fall as it was their chance to attack it. They charged no holding back with all kinds of combos.

With their enhanced aura they were faster and stronger. Yet the Hell House's shield keep on activating and it was having the same effect. It was getting frustrating they weren't causing enough damage to destroy it. At this rate, they could lose. Until Ruby said she had a plan. Jaune nodded to her, whenever she will say it he will trusts her. The merc and the florist did the same. Problem is, she never told them. They just resumed attacking while running whenever it will use it's charge attack. Then it opened the front door using the vacuum move that the Arc got swallowed. This time the red cloak girl used her semblance, entering the house. The rest didn't know what to say. It's obvious she let herself get caught on purpose.

The Hell House stood still for a moment. When, it was getting blasted it started moving like it was out of control. It's like there were dozens of explosions going on. Jaune's eyes widened as a smile spread his features. He told Cloud and Aerith to attack it now, this was their chance. The ex-SOLDIER used Cross Slash, while the Huntsman used Aura Thrust and the florist cast blizzara and firaga. All the attacks made the Hell House fall downed. Parts of the mech were being blown up as it was tearing it from the inside out. Cloud nodded to Jaune, both charged in slicing through their arms followed by the head. That was it, the creature went down in a explosion. Shortly Ruby came out in her semblance, right on time.

(Music end)

The audience were silent for a moment realizing what just happened. The Hell House was destroyed, covered in flames, hard to tell if it can ever be rebuild. They exploded in louder cheering realizing their victory it followed with fireworks. The four gave a high five as many times as ever.

"And the winners-" said Kotch.

"And champions-Cloud, Aerith, Jaune and Ruby!" followed Scotch.

"Ruby how did you…." started the Huntsman.

"If the shield was making it tougher from getting hit from the outside, I realized, maybe it doesn't have the same effect on the inside. So I let myself get swallowed and attack it from the inside. Guess I was lucky to get it right. It was very weak from the inside"

"I wonder if it was a side effect from constantly using that shield" thought the blond.

"Wow…." said Aerith impressed.

"Clever. Well done" Cloud followed with a compliment.

Jaune nodded at the petite's quick thinking. Now that he thought about it. This was similar to how she was able to beat Cordovin's giant mech when they fought the old woman at Argus. Though she took a big risk from getting blasted by that big arm cannon if it weren't for her semblance and uncle to saved her just in time. The Arc smiled at the reaper, she will never stop impressing him. The young Huntress is truly unique, one in a million.

"Talk about bringing down the house, huh?" the silver eyed girl smiled before gasping" no pun intended!"

Everyone had to roll her eyes.

The crowd kept on cheering specially those that made bets on them. At the VIP stand Madame M cheered as she won the prize money for sure now. Chocobo Sam left before the fight started wanting to check on his champions. The Cutter and Sweeper that were currently turned to scrap by the party. The Honeybee Inn workers were also cheering for the winners while the man seated on the throne-like chair stood silent. Looking in thought his eyes were on them. The way those two dealt the finishing blow, potential right there. That's what he saw.

After leaving the arena the party was met with the gatekeeper telling them that Madame M would like to see them back at her parlor. He added that she was very pleased with their performance. They left the Colosseum heading to the parlor, that was one problem out of the way. Assuming the massage therapist collected the prize money they will finally be able to buy the dress Aerith needs. Along with the invite to participate in Corneo's audition and save Tifa. Opening the door to the place, she was waiting for them. The smile never left her features.

"You're here. Good. I have everything I need to get started. Just one thing before we do. You're the Cloud, right? Cloud the merc? I'm told you did a wonderful job helping the people of Sector 5. You have a very impressive work ethic. It's like they say" Good things come to those who work". What goes around comes around-and in ways that might surprise you."

Her chuckled made them think she was indeed pleased. She sounded so difference from the time she got angry at Corneo's decision.

"I'm gonna put Aerith in the most gorgeous dress you've ever seen. It'll be a real jaw-dropper. All right. Now that that's out of the way...Once you change, you won't be able to leave town. Are you sure you're ready?"

"I'm ready" replied the florist.

"All right, then. Let's get started. Beauty takes a lot of work and preparation, far more than you'd know."

"We'll be waiting outside" said Ruby.

"I'm sure there must be a few things we can do while you're busy with Aerith" followed Jaune.

"Some jobs while we're at it" replied Cloud.

"Very well. I'm sure there are quite the lot that would like to hire your services. Now Aerith, come with me."

"Oh boy! I can't wait to see the dress!"

"The dress is part of it, sure...but we'll also need to do something about that plain-Jane makeup and hairdo. This is gonna take some work."

"Ouch!" she was shocked at her harsh words.

Insulting her attire was one thing, but her makeup and hair. Pretty sure if Elmyra were here she would be making Madame M eat those words.

"Well, I'll see you guys later!" she sounded so anxious following the woman.

"Peek and I'll poke out your eyes" warned the massage therapist.

"No need for a threat. We'll be on our way" said the Arc with a sweat dropped.

"Time to look around town and find any possible clients!" hyped the red cloak girl.

The three walked the busy streets of Wall Market. Surely Cloud will be able to find some jobs and eventually they did. Though it wasn't exactly what the merc was expecting. Minor jobs, too amateur for his taste and experience. Not a single one included fighting monsters, or anything of the sort. Just delivering items not his favorite thing to do. Delivery man was completely below him. Still, he won't complain since they were doing this to kill time until Madame M was done with Aerith. Neither him, Jaune or Ruby knew why Johnny decided to tag along. The red head said he knew this place like the back of his hand. So he helped them finding the people that needed the items. He came through in the end.

Johnny had intentions to show the ex-SOLDIER everything there is to know of the town and he zero interest. Choosing to ditched him while the Arc and the reaper went with him. They also had no interest in knowing, they have seen enough to have an idea the sort of things that goes here. Wall Market is very different from the rest of the slums and not to their liking in the least. Staying here, they didn't even thought it. The Huntsman and Huntress would rather stay in Sector 7 or back at their first home in Sector 5. That's why they wanted to save Tifa already and leave this place behind. Honestly neither, we're planning on ever coming back. One of the jobs brought them to a familiar area.

The two teens gazed at the place they haven't visited in a while. It's been months back when they were still living at Sector 5 and decided to get some training done. Staring at Jules gym. The place hasn't changed in the slightest since the last time they were here. There was plenty of people who wanted to work out and get in shape. Coming here really did helped them in their training. They saw Ronnie and Jay lifting some weights and as usual, Jules was present for support. Cheering on both men to give it their best. Guess they could give it another go now that they're here. Besides, they still needed to wait for Aerith to be ready. Doing a quick work out would do them some good and even invite Cloud on it.

"Jules!" called the silver eyed girl.

The three turned to see familiar faces they haven't seen for so long. Jules smiled at the two teens.

"Ruby and Jaune. Aren't you guys a sight for sore eyes. Haven't seen you guys for a long while."

"It sure has. A lot has happened" said the Arc.

"We've been very busy" added the reaper.

"This is perfect! Now that you guys are finally here, I can test the results of my workout" said an eager Ronnie.

"Yep. Ronnie has been working hard for the last couple of months. Ever since you guys stopped coming. Why not challenge him now that you're here?"

"Yeah, I'll take on both of you at the same time!"

The Huntsman and the Huntress didn't had a problem. Even when they stopped coming to the gym, they were still doing squats and other exercises. Guess they can give it a go to kill time.

"You're on!"

Ronnie grinned. They might be kids but he learned his lesson the last time. Cloud kept silent while watching. Not minding sticking around while waiting for Aerith to be done.

(Music: "Squats mini game battle theme" from the FFVIIR original soundtrack)

Jaune was as both men started with squats. The Arc was impressed with how many Ronnie was able to pulled. Guess he has improved from the last time they were here. Still the Huntsman showed he was still in pretty good shape as he still beat the dark skinned man. Losing both rounds to the blond teen. He was shocked at first but he was only warming up. Following it up with pull ups, it was a fierce competition but the Arc still won. After the match both had a hand shake. Ronnie wasn't upset knowing he did his best, he was glad he has gotten better. He wasn't giving up and was planning to resume training. Jay was next as both were fast and impressive but Jaune was able to win by a landslide.

Ruby was next as she was able to beat both Ronnie and Jay without much effort. She still has the advantage due to her size and weight. Allowing her to move faster than Jaune. Not to mention training under Tifa had something to do with it. Jules couldn't take it anymore as he chose to take them on at the same time. Challenging the petite and blond to squat/pull ups. While the other two took a break, their trainer was having fun with the teens. They were shocked at how quick he could move and get it in precise timing. Looks like they had their work cut out as the head trainer was obviously better than Ronnie and Jay. But somehow, they were able to tie with him. Both Ruby and Jaune had a nice workout.

Just when they thought it was over, Cloud stepped in wanting to give it a go. Guess watching the Arc and the reaper made him want to join the workout session. The merc would take on all three of them in both squats and pull ups. They accepted the challenge and volunteer one by one to take him on. Ronnie was first and he got beaten by a lot. The same with Jay and Jules on squats. The Huntsman and Huntress stood wide eyed shock, how easy he was beating them. It was the same for the pull ups, too easy for the merc as he beat them again. Then he went after the two teens willing to take them on at once. He also beat the teens on both exercises. Guess for a SOLDIER this was nothing but a walk in the park.

(Music end)

"Cloud, was it? You're the real deal man" the head trainer was impressed.

"For someone so scrawny looking. You ain't that bad" followed Ronnie.

"It was awesome. And the fact he beat Jaune and Ruby makes it better. I might have to train harder" said Jay.

"I will train extra harder for next time!" replied the muscled dark skinned man.

"No surprise why he beat us" smiled the Arc.

"Think it will make a difference if train more?" asked the red cloak petite.

"I don't think so."

"It was a good workout" said the ex-SOLDIER.

"Bro!"

The three turned to see Johnny running to them as he stared at the blond merc.

"I got word from Madame M. She said to wait at the bridge near Don Corneo's place."

"Sounds like she's finally done with Aerith" Ruby smiled.

"Time to go then" followed the Arc.

"We're leaving" the merc told the head trainer.

"No problem. You're more than welcome here. Let us know when you're ready for another workout."

The trio stood in the elegant wooden stone bridge that stood near the tower where Corneo resides. Nobody was here, guess they arrived a little too early. That's what they were thinking and hoping that was the case. The loud voices of people caught their attention. Sounded like there a big commotion coming not that far. They heard Johnny who was trying to keep the people from getting closer. Giving a better glance there was someone else with the red head. From the looks of it, he was making sure no one will touch this person. While others were taking pictures. Now he was acting like a bodyguard, to whom. The crowd cleared the way as the trio were able to see the identity. Eyes widened in shock as the night sky was filled with fireworks.

It was Aerith and boy was she wearing something different. Indeed she was wearing the dress Madame M bought with the gil they won from the colosseum. It was a red dress with a little shade of dark, her hair has been done perfectly with lovely curls tied with red ribbons matching the color of the dress. Nice jewelry with white heels. Cloud and Jaune stood in awe at the young woman. Madam M was right, she does look like a million gil and more. The florist was gorgeous. No wonder many of the people that were gathered were men. Looks like she has turned some unwanted heads. Ruby was staring at the green eyed woman with shiny eyes. Johnny released a red carpet so she can cross over. Really gentlemen of him.

"Heya" her tone sounded timid.

"You look amazing!" it was the Huntress the first to replied.

"That's really…." started the merc.

"Wow…." finished the Arc.

"Yeah…." the florist took a glance at her dress" Corneo's got...Certain tastes. This dress is so gaudy and impossible to move in…."

"Considering it cost a million gil. Maybe you should be careful and not get it dirty."

"Thanks for showing you care for my well being" she obviously didn't took it well.

"That's not what I mean. You have to look your best if you want to get through the audition. Not like we're going to let anything happen to you."

"Hm...What about you Cloud?"

"Oh...Right" he snapped from his thoughts.

"Were you listening to me?"

"Y-Yeah. I'm starting to wonder this place is more dangerous than we thought. Who knows what they'll ask you to do in this audition."

"Nothing won't happen to her because we'll be there to back her up" said Ruby.

"We're not letting you go there by yourself. We'll have to try and get in without anyone noticing. Like being all stealth and take them by surprise" the Huntsman stood in thought.

"Like Ninjas!" the red cloak petite smiled.

"I have a better idea. Come on, you'll see" Aerith turned around.

They didn't know what she had in mind so they decided to follow her.

It wasn't easy walking all of Wall Market with men whistling at Aerith, among some indecent comments. It earned them a glare from Cloud and Jaune. Seriously couldn't they just restrain themselves. Guess this is the kind of place it is. It was their surprise when they stopped in front of the Honeybee Inn. Ruby suddenly got hungry wanting to grab something to eat. So she excuse herself before saying she will return in a jiffy. Better that she wasn't here because there was no way the Arc would let her go to that inn again. Then again, that wasn't the case. Why did he suddenly got a bad feeling. A feeling that will make him regret something for the rest of his life. It felt so scary.

"Why are we here?"

"To see the Honeybeen Inn's Andrea Rhodea, and convince him to give you boys his stamp of approval."

Both stood still, not saying a word thinking they heard wrong.

"Heh heh...Aerith, we're guys…."

"I'm sure he can fix that. You two are not going to let me go alone, right? Well, with Andrea's help, you can join me."

Jaune felt the color drained from his face. He heard right and this is why he had that bad feeling. And apparently, Cloud was also uncomfortable about this.

"It'll be fun! And honestly, I think you two will look pretty cute in a dress."

"Oh boy...Yeah, the story of my life" the Arc rubbed his forehead.

"What!?" Cloud wasn't buying it.

"It's pretty rare for Andrea to take a personal interest in someone. At least, that's what Madam M said. Trust me, this is gonna work out great."

"Says the woman in the nice pretty dress" the Huntsman saw through her smile yep, she was enjoying this.

He gave a long sigh while the merc wasn't happy with this.

"What should we tell Ruby when she gets back?"

"The truth of course."

"Uhhh…."

"C'mon. Don't you wanna save Tifa?" the florist pressed on.

"Wait-"

"No can do Cloud. This is our plan, and you'll learn to love it."

"Let's just do what she says. We can regret it later" the Arc sighed again.

"See. Jaune's on board. So! Here's what I think we should approach him. Madam M said Andrea was a man who'd give anyone a chance with him over. So I say we march right up to him, explain the situation, and see where that gets us. Sounds good?"

"Something tells me it's not going to be that easy" said the ex-SOLDIER.

"It usually is, when it comes to us" followed the Huntsman.

The three entered the place going to the reception desk. Turns out Andrea was indeed expecting both of them. Jaune was trying to forget this whole idea and he was pretty sure Cloud was feeling the same way. How did this rescue plan to save Tifa turned into dressing up as a woman. It's not like he made a bet to wear a dress like he did at the Beacon dance. The receptionist told them to head to the stage, the door at the end after going through the double ones. Aerith was taken somewhere else by one of the Honeybee boys. After entering they saw three Honeybee girls near the door they're suppose to go. It was a good thing Ruby wasn't here. She got hungry right at the perfect time. At least it will be less embarrassing without her around.

"And here are the men of the hour!"

"Chosen by Andrea himself."

"Our honored guests!"

"Let's get this over with" Jaune sighed.

"We're heading to the stage."

"Wait. This is your first time, right? It's okay. Do you want to practice your dance moves, first?"

"Dance moves?" this caught the Arc by surprise.

Of all the things, this was the least thing he was expecting. So he and Cloud have to show Andrea they can dance. Aerith did said must with him over. That means by that, they will have to show the member of the Trio they're good dancers. Blue eyes turned to merc. Does he knows how to dance somehow he doubt it. SOLDIERS will learn everything except dancing.

"Andrea thought it might be a good idea" spoke another Honeybee girl.

"Do you know how to dance?"

"Do I look like I can dance?" the ex-SOLDIER didn't sounded happy.

"Right, you've never dance before. Shinra doesn't need dancers heh heh…."

Jaune stood in thought remembering what he learned from his sisters and mother. He also learned from his best friend and teammate Ren. It surprised him the magenta eyed teen had some moves on him. He took everything he learned from those experiences to apply them right now.

"Okay Cloud. Follow my lead."

(Music: "Let the Battle Begin!" from the FFVIIR original soundtrack)

The merc stood silent. Though it came to a surprise the Arc would know. He remembered why they were doing this, to save Tifa. So he did what told and watch his movements. Jaune smiled that will be a great help. Both were now moving their bodies while he was still mimicking the Huntsman. The three girls giggled and cheered for them as a sign they were doing a good job.

"Wow…."

"They're amazing!"

"Yeah, that's it. Keep it up. Nothing to it"

"It feels, familiar somehow…."

"Sure it does!" he smiled at the merc" that's because it's the same as fighting."

The ex-SOLDIER turned to him, not believing him.

"It is. When you fight, you move your body in the same rhythm. Only the difference, you're using your weapon. But it's different when you use other things like magic and even the summons move like they're dancing when they attack."

Both kept on dancing while Jaune smiled mentally. They were using some of the moves he and his team performed at the Beacon dance. It was Ren's idea because he shown them the moves. Then he chose to change it up with some of the moves he learned from his sisters. The Honey girls kept on cheering watching them go. The performance was so good, they didn't looked like amateurs. Going for an improvement the Arc unsheathed Crocea Mors and shield while Cloud took his buster sword, moving their bodies and weapons to the music. They finished it up with a perfect sync kata. The Huntsman was impressed it worked out better than he thought.

(Music end)

"You're a quick learner."

"It's the same as fighting."

"You guys got real rhythm. Move over girls, new dancers have come to town!"

"C'mon, c'mon-the show's about to start!"

Both got dragged into the door where there were many seats and tables. They spotted Aerith and Chocobo Sam. Before them stood a big open space. Best place to put up a show.

"My, my! If isn't Cloud and Jaune?"

They saw Madam M climbing down a stair case using her hand fan.

"Darling! I had no idea."

"Like you had nothing to do with this?" said the Arc.

"I just simply delivered the message. Andrea wanted to meet the two of you so I told Aerith. Though I wasn't expecting to see you this soon."

Both men were dragged to one of the comfy seats. They were now surrounded by the beautiful Honeybee Girls.

"Now you just wait until Andrea takes the stage!"

"Look at his muscles!" one was touching Cloud's arms.

"This one looks pretty good too!" another one was checking out the Huntsman, running her hands on his arms.

Jaune just blushed at the compliment. To think he will be this popular with women. At one time, he would be so happy to be around so many beautiful females. He should feel that way now but he was just too nervous. All of this was bound to become something embarrassing. Cloud was also embarrassed not used of having so many women around him too. It wasn't that hard, they just needed to show Andrea their moves. The Honey girls signaled them to be quiet as the lights have gone out creating a dark environment.

(Music: "Perfect Score" from the FFVIIR original soundtrack)

Beautiful lights flew through the stage. They resemble a shooting star as many others of different colors slightly lit up the place. A big flower stood in the middle as many Honeybee girls and guys were present, starting to move to the music. Jaune actually like it, it was very entertaining. Not to mention they must have practiced so hard rehearsing to be able to memorize it all. It reflects on what kind of person Andrea Rhodea is. A hard working man who apparently loves dancing with a passion. It wasn't long before the Arc started to moved his body a little as proof that he was enjoying it. Cloud on the other hand, wasn't interested or looking forward to join in. After the brilliant performance a man emerged from the flower, reaching the climax.

The man had very short dark brown hair with blue eyes, with a beard and mustache. His attire was different from the others but it had the same colors of black and yellow. The man had a warm smile as he was staring at the two males approaching them.

"Jaune and Cloud. Welcome to the Honeybee Inn."

The man walked over getting a better look at them. Jaune felt nervous, it's like his eyes were gazing deeply into his eyes. Though Andrea seems to be very charismatic.

"You seek my approval, do you?"

He hushed the ex-SOLDIER's lips with two fingers, while getting too close to the Arc's. The Huntsman felt so nervous so he's THAT kind of person. There were all kinds of people like that in Remnant and it never bother him. But having a man so close to him as if he wanted to kiss him did made him feel uncomfortable. Cloud's expression was a complete blank reminding him why they're here.

"I understand…." he smiled walking off.

"But those who crave my favor must first prove that they know how to move."

The Arc turned to the merc as he nodded. Time to show him their little number they practiced in just a few minutes. Andrea moved his bodies with the rest of the Honeybee boys and girls. The show hasn't ended yet, it has just begun. While Aerith was still seated in her place smiling enjoying every bit of it. Everyone left shortly leaving their boss alone with the two males. Time for the dance off and see if they can make a good impression on him.

"Think you can follow my lead?"

"Just keep up with us Cloud. Remember, it's just like fighting."

The merc didn't said a word remembering their short rehearsal it shouldn't be so hard after the fights he has fought. He's done way tougher than this so this will hardly be a challenge. Andrea moved his body making every timing eight as Jaune and Cloud followed. All three seemed to be in perfect sync with each other as the crowd continue to cheered on. Aerith was still cheering them, really having a blast. As the music was reaching it's end Andrea increased the tempo as both followed his lead exactly as he wanted. The Arc was starting to think this was tougher than fighting any monster. Okay maybe not as hard as the Airbuster or that blasted Hell House. But it was getting there with all the moving pushing his body. And also, he was starting to sweat even with the air conditioning available at the inn.

Cloud never lost focus since the dance started. Paying attention to Andrea, then Jaune, then at his own body. Pretty soon he stopped paying attention to the Arc and set his sights on the member of the Trio. Once he got used to the movements, it became easy from there. No weapons like they did at practice. Obviously the Huntsman could keep up but it was a surprise the man in charge of the Honeybee Inn makes it looks so easy. He was indeed experienced. The finale followed with them doing a pose as there fireworks and everyone were cheering accompanied by loud applause.

(Music end)

"Honey...I'm in love" he smiled making the heart shape with his hands.

"Yes. Yes, I will transform you two into visions of beauty. Now, without further ado, let us begin!"

"Here comes the bad part" Jaune sweat dropped.

The first thing they lost were their weapons. Crocea Mors and the buster sword were taken somewhere else. Hopefully, a storage room and they don't get stolen. Both the merc and Huntsman were apart from each as were seated on the throne like chairs. A group of Honeybee girls hands fans as another one brought a dress. The Arc gasped as his clothes were removed, forcefully being stripped to his boxers. Not for too long as he was already wearing the dress, the same for Cloud. His hair was being fixed while a Honeybee boy was putting make up on him. His nails were getting painted too. It all happened so quick as both males have been transformed.

Aerith stood curiously watching from her seat. Eagerly waiting how they were going to looked in their new makeover. The Honey girls finally revealed the big fans, revealing the two males in their new look. The florist gasped staring at Cloud first. The merc had braids with pink ribbons, long black silk sleeves with a marine blue corset with a long dark blue skirt and black closed heels. The florist was shocked to think this is the ex-SOLDIER because he looks gorgeous. The makeup did a very good job showing this new feminine side of him.

Finally, there was Jaune. Aerith was more in awe than ever. The Arc's hair been given a makeover too as it was in small curls in white ribbons, similar to what they did with her hair. Long white gloves reaching to his elbows with a mint green dress with short sleeves . White stockings matching the gloves with mint green closed heels also, matching the color of the dress. The makeup work was also done well making the Huntsman a very attractive female. One of the Honeybee boys handed the blond a mirror as he stared at this new look for Corneo's audition.

"I look...Pretty, not bad...But damn it! Why is this dress so tight!?"

The makeover was done and the two newly ladies stepped forwards. Andrea was pleased with his work. They were more than ready for the audition. The man the merc's hand as they started dancing. Jaune panicked, hoping he doesn't get to dance because the dress being too tight won't let him move freely. He kept a forced smile trying to move. Gotta keep his image as a new candidate. The merc was sent to a position where he was staring so close at the man's face. The Arc wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

"Perfection!"

"True beauty is an expression of the heart. A thing without shame, to which the notions of gender don't apply. Don't even be afraid, my dear boys."

"My nut sack hurts. It's being squashed by this dress…." the Huntsman cried comical tears.

"That show today blew my mind!"

"Hey, look at me! I can dance too!"

Aerith stood outside of the Honeybee Inn waiting for the two "new girls" to come out. Andrea gave her his endorsement letter recommending them to Corneo's audition. It's took a while but they can finally go and save Tifa. She smiled watching the people leaving, they have really enjoyed that show.

"Aerith!"

The florist turned to see Ruby running to her not looking happy.

"I can't believe you left without me! I was only gone for like...Okay, I forgot. I was hungry so I probably took my time to buy best food" the petite won't say that it was also an expensive dish.

"I'm sorry. I thought we wouldn't take too long guess I was wrong. But anyway, did you ate?"

"Definitely. There was this restaurant and the food was delicious. Then, I went to this ice cream place where they served the best double strawberry, chocolate chip banana split ever!"

"Glad to know you enjoyed yourself" she smiled.

"Uhuh...Hey, where's Cloud and Jaune?"

"Well…." the florist rolled her eyes with a smile.

Speaking of the ex-SOLDIER he left from the inn walking passed the people without a glance or word. He was beyond upset, annoyed and embarrassed at what he was currently wearing. They took his weapon, gear and materia, obviously they won't give it back until the audition ends. So much for the chance of defending himself. He saw Aerith and Ruby and no thanks, he wasn't going to bother to say anything. Not even them. Seriously this was something he never thought he would ever do. If Sephiroth were here he would be ridiculing him to no end. Too late the red cloak girl was already before him with the florist next to her.

"Not a word" said the elegant dressed blond woman.

"Not even one?"

"No!"

"But you're so pretty!"

The silver eyed Huntress stood baffled at what she was hearing. This pretty lady's voice was so familiar before the realization hit her.

"No way...Cloud? Is that you…?"

The cross dressing merc turned his back to her. Refusing to reply. The petite stood in thought before she started chuckling then, she laughed hard. The ex-SOLDIER wanted to crawl to a hole and die. The reaper laughed so much she was in tears. Doing her best to calm down and ask why he was dressed like this.

"Hey doll face you-"

"Back off!"

"Ah! It's a trap!"

"Welcome to Wall Market idiot!"

The three turned to a man running away while a group were laughing at him. Jaune left the inn not looking happy. He walked trying to forget how tight this dress is. It was killing him. He should have ask Andrea for another dress that will at least feel comfortable. But then again, he didn't wanted to hurt his feelings after he took his time to give them the makeover and the letter of approval. Blue eyes widened as he spotted Ruby with Aerith. Oh no, why. Looks like she was back from eating. Too late to run away as the petite Huntress walked to him. She kept staring at him while he sweat dropped. The thought of telling her that he was really a woman crossed his mind. But he didn't because he refuse to lie to her.

"Jaune…?"

"Go ahead, laugh it up, get it out of your system."

Seeing her best and closest friend dressed like a pretty lady was too much for her. Ruby tried to hold her laughter but failed miserably. She burst out laughing so hard that she was in tears again. It was the Pumpkin Pete rabbit hoodie incident all over again. But worse. Her whole face turned red still laughing loudly. The Arc sighed while Cloud was trying to keep his attention elsewhere. Aerith just smiled at the whole thing.

"You...Wh...Wh-Why are you guys dressed like that?" she burst out laughing again.

"They're accompanying me to Corneo's audition. They're not letting me go alone so we went to Andrea Rhodea to give them a makeover."

"That…." she finally calmed down her face was still red and the tears weren't stopping" that sounds dumb. We could have let you handle things, while we infiltrate the place ninja style and take everyone out, then you go get Tifa and regroup. And finally we will make Corneo talk and get our questions answered."

Jaune sweat dropped feeling so stupid. The plans sounds so easy but it was good. As long as they don't cause a commotion that will bring any attention from the outside, it will be all good. Too late to rethink their plan now that they were dressed for action.

"Let's just do this already" the Arc wasn't happy this stupid dress was really killing him.

The four started walking to Corneo's residence while Ruby was holding her laughter doing a better job than earlier. The Huntsman sighed gazing at Cloud who hasn't said a word yet. He was obviously not happy with this but luckily they won't be dressed like this for too long.

"Hey?" he caught the merc's attention.

"If it makes you feel any better. This isn't the first time I wore a dress."

"…..."

"Okay I shouldn't have said that."

The group finally arrived at the tower while Jaune and Cloud weren't happy. Asides from their current predicament, all the commotion they caused while heading here. Whispers, comments, mostly from men were about hitting on them, giving them compliments. Some were extreme while whistling and making other women jealous. They really don't know how to control themselves. The sooner they do this, the better. How they wanted to leave these awful place behind for good. Ruby decided to stay behind him before making her move. Opening the double doors, Leslie and his two flunkies were still guarding the front to the interior. They have the letters of approval from two members of the Trio and they were properly dressed to be candidates. It should be enough to get them to the audition.

"No way…." the silver haired young man stood stunned at what he was seeing.

"Here you are-letters from Andrea Rhodea and Madam M. That ought to do the trick, right?" said Aerith.

"You serious?" of course he was able to recognized the other two ladies with the green eyed woman.

"Is there a problem?"

"I hope you know what you're in for."

"Oh, we'll be fine" the florist being the ever optimistic.

"If you say so. Come on."

He took the letters checking their name. The lady speaking to him is Aerith. The other two are called Cloudia and Jeane. Though the letters of approval are the real deal, he knew those names were nothing but BS. Of course these two are men and they're obviously here to rescue that young woman that was recently brought here. Either way, it wasn't his business he will do his job as the Don's right hand man. Without a word he opened the double doors behind him.

"Finally" Jaune was more than relief to know they have been given permission to enter.

The three walked a short straight corridor with another set of door awaiting them. They were opened by another lackey telling them where to go for the audition. Second floor at the end of the walk. They had a bad feeling but they already knew. They opened a pair doors, leading to another pair of doors. Seriously this place was full of them until, reaching a room with many things laying around. The door behind them closed before a soft sound was heard. It also hit their noses.

"What's that weird, sweet smell?"

It looked like pink smoke, it was all over the place now.

"Why do I feel so dizzy?"

"Gas" said Cloud.

"Not good" Jaune glared.

The merc went to the door but it was locked. It was too late as the gas has entered their body. Aerith was the first to fall down, losing conscious. The Arc was unable to fight it as he fell shortly his eyes were feeling heavy. The ex-SOLDIER was the last one to fall. The Huntsman saw the door opening revealing two lackeys wearing gas masks. Damn, they right to their trap.

"Wassup? How you pretty ladies doin'? Feeling a little light-headed? Well, we can't have that. What say we escort you to the parlor, so you can make yourselves more comfortable?"

"Let's get this show on the road."

"Where...Are...You...Taking us?" asked the florist.

"C'mon now. Upsy-daisy…."

"Hey! Handle with care, asshole!"

"The hell!? You wanna throw down!?"

"They're Corneo's girls...So if you leave a mark 'em, you ain't gettin' off with a warning."

"Yeah, I know."

"Managed to wrangle some real lookers this time though, know what I'm sayin'?"

Both chuckled as Jaune and Cloud finally lost conscious along with Aerith.

Ruby smirked when the others entered the tower. Once they were in, she used her semblance to get on top of the structure. Pretty clever of her as she will make sure to infiltrate it without anyone noticing. The reaper giggled silently so anxious to do this. She was going to be like one of those ninjas she has seen in movies. Back in Remnant she saw quite of them and even thought her teammate Blake was one. Climbing to a window the silver eyed girl made sure no was around before she made her move.

"Ninja…."

"Hey, can you hear me?"

Cloud stirred as his eyes opened. Remembering what happened he made a sudden move scaring someone. His eyes gazed around not recognizing the place. It wasn't the same where they were knocked out by the gas. Blue eyes widened staring at Tifa, she was the one that got startled by his action.

"Tifa!?"

"Yes…?" it surprised her this woman knows who she is when she has never met her.

"You okay?"he didn't even attempted to disguised his voice, why should he.

"Mm...hmm" the brawler nodded still not knowing who was this person.

"Good."

"Wait a minute" it finally hit her, the voice sounded too familiar" Cloud!? Is that you!?"

"Oh my god, that makeup! And that dress!"

"Nailed it, I know. Thank you. Moving on" how he wanted to take it off.

Jaune stirred finally coming to. He saw Aerith downed as he went to help the florist. Looks like she was all right nothing serious, still trying to get over the effects of the gas.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, a little woozy but I'll be fine."

"You guys good?"

"We will, once we get out of here. I can't believe they will used gas on us. Bastards."

"What?" the brawler also recognized the voice coming from the other pretty blond lady" Jaune, is that you?"

"Yeah it's me. Don't say another word if it's about what I'm wearing."

"Hey, Tifa. How you doing?" the florist walked over to the brawler.

"Okay…."

"Oh right-I'm Aerith. A friend of Cloud and Jaune. We were worried and thought we'd come to help you out."

"Thanks…?"

"Don't thank us yet. Not until we leave this place" replied the Arc.

"We're not leaving until we get the information from Corneo" Cloud turned to the brawler" we know you're planning to ask him why he's interested in Avalanche."

"How did you know?" she stood shocked.

"Um...Ruby and I knew. We found out from Barret so yeah, sorry…."

"He told you and he sent you to get me?" she sighed" like I didn't see that coming."

"You thought you'd be fine being on your own in this crazy town?"

"I brought my weapon and materia, I'll be all right. I just hope Corneo picks me from those other three candidates."

"You don't have to worry about that. Because we are the three candidates" smiled Aerith.

"Really?" the brawler blinked.

"Yeah. Now that we're all here for here for the same thing. It doesn't matter how he picks. We're not leaving until we ask him what are his intentions with Avalanche" replied the Huntsman.

"I guess the chances have increased with you guys here. Wait, where's Ruby?"

"She's around. You know her, can't keep herself still. She'll show up eventually" smiled Jaune.

"So what happens now?" asked Cloud.

"I think they'll call for us when it's time" said Tifa.

"Great. So we wait. For who knows how long" the Arc didn't like it.

"This room gives me the creeps" said the florist.

"I just hope Ruby doesn't do anything yet. Not until Corneo picks his candidate. We should have come up with a way to contact her, like a signal. No point in thinking about it now" the Huntsman mentally sighed.

The sound of a gong was heard throughout the room.

*Now ladies, listen up. I'm sure you're still feeling a bit woozy, but tonight's audition is about to begin. Head out to the door to the left and up the stairs. Come on, ladies, let's hustle.*

Well that didn't took long. Depending how long they were unconscious. Time to do this and see if they can finally get off this bad place. Leaving the creepy room one of the lackeys was present to guide them, just in case they get lost. Leading them to another set of double door where it was a bigger and more beautiful space. This was proof enough that Corneo has a lot of wealth and power at his disposal. More lackeys present and one of them was familiar as being one of the announcers from the Colosseum as Kotch. Jaune felt disgusted at how many were giving them dirty expressions. Perverts all of them. The Don picks one and the rest will probably be spoils for them explaining why they were looking anxious.

"Okay, my beautiful ladies! Time to line up for the don!" said Kotch.

The four did as told while trying to avoid contact with the mohawk man. After all, they didn't wanted him to recognize them from the Colosseum. Sure Cloud and Jaune's disguises are pretty good though, Leslie figured out who they are. Let's hope it doesn't happen again. Tifa was the only one safe not getting into trouble. Then he was staring at them his gaze fell on the two blonds before him.

"Wait, you look kinda familiar. We haven't met before, have we?" he was gazing at the merc.

You also look familiar" he turned to Jaune.

"Same for you" he turned to the florist.

"I've never met you" the Arc decided to speak in a very womanly voice" I do like your hairstyle. It's very uh...Spiky."

"Well, the chicks dig it. Guess you do too" he chuckled, he still got it" eh, anyway. You're all good to go? Let's do this thing!"

The Huntsman mentally sighed in relief that was really close. He probably saved their hides acting like a complete airhead. Hope this doesn't become a thing not wanting to talk this way.

"Introducing Wall Market's most eligible bachelor...The one and only Don Corneo!"

Before them some has stick his head to greet them with a smile.

"Ladies!"

The man was almost bald, with a small piece of blond hair at the top of his head. A tattoo of a heart with an arrow crossing it and the word" Love" above. A mustache, a short beard with earrings with a long red coat with black print and fur on the sleeves and neck portion and dark blue eyes. A white dress shirt with an opening exposing his hairy chest with a gold round necklace. Long yellow pants with brown shoes. This was the don of Wall Market. Jaune did his best not to laugh his ass off. No wonder he's the most eligible bachelor in the whole town. He's so damn ugly it's like getting kicked in the balls. If he had his face he will get surgery a hundred times before he will look decent. A grin spread his features at the candidates.

"Nice. Very nice!" he like what he was seeing.

"You boys did well. Now, whichever one shall I pick?"

The Don started gazing at Aerith from her feet all the way. Disgusting this guy, was definitely a perv scumbag.

"Should I pick you?"

His eyes traveled to the person next to the florist. Tifa wearing the elegant beautiful lilac dress.

"Or maybe...You?"

Then he turned to cross dressed ex-SOLDIER. He felt like he was in thought touching her arms feeling that she's quite big boned. Then his eyes went at Jaune who he kept his composure looking nervous. Needed to think like a woman as the Don was now staring at him. Corneo finally stopped staring, turning his back to the four. He seemed to be in deep thought.

"Oh yeah! I've got it! I've got it! Today's bride-to-be is…."

"Today's?" asked Aerith.

"And tomorrow's or the day after's-if the don take a shine to you" explained Kotch.

"It's worse than I thought" Jaune was really disgusted with this guy.

"Pathetic."

The Arc's was shocked at the merc's comment. What the hell was he thinking, they were still undercover. They couldn't do anything yet until he picks someone. Though he didn't blame his reaction. It's a surprise the merc was able to hold this long without lashing out on the guy.

"Hey, which one of you said that?" Corneo got angry at the comment, he walked over to the blond woman with braids.

"Was it you?"

"Please Don Corneo, forgive her. Cloudia can be very sensitive sometimes and she might offend people." spoke the Arc.

"Hm...Is that so?"

"She's not very talkative but that's because she's...Shy. If you treat her nicely I'm sure she'll come around."

And just like that Cloud elbowed the Arc on his side hard. The Huntsman felt that one. The strength of a SOLDIER is nothing to laugh at. Tifa was shocked while Aerith was doing her best not to burst out laughing. Everyone else at the room were taken back by her action even, Corneo.

"Aren't you the rough girl. You like hitting your friend?"

"….."

"Be nice Cloudia."

The merc glared at him while he gave her a look to behave until this was done. The don seemed to be please with this chuckling.

"The say blonds aren't very smart and they tend to be stupid. But I don't believe in such. So I have made up my mind! Today's bride-to-be are both blondies!"

The girls were shocked while the guys dressed as girls were more shocked. Corneo grinned like an idiot as he Jaune's hand and Cloud's. But he was unable to move the big boned lady as it felt like he was rooted to the ground by rock hard cement. He moved, but she refused to. The Arc gave the merc a stare to let go before he obeyed.

"The leftovers are all yours."

"Hell yeah! Okay ladies, y'all coming with me" said Kotch.

Leslie arrived at the Don's place carrying a couple of bags. He was hoping he wasn't too late. When he was told what was going on, he didn't hesitated. Entering further he noticed so many of Corneo's lackey were unconscious. Damn, looks like they have already made a move sooner than he thought. Better not keep them waiting any longer. Better head to the don's chamber before all hell breaks loose. The last thing he wanted were those bastards that will blow the whistle on anything. One wrong move and Shinra forces could be here sweeping the place, turning it upside down. The main hall was the same, all of the guards were out as he was meeting the young girl with the red cloak from earlier.

"Um…." Ruby couldn't believed she got caught" er...Ninja…."

"You guys started the party a little too early."

"What party?"

"I know why you're here. I was told to give your things before facing Corneo. Hurry up!"

The petite didn't know what was going on. But looking at the bags she saw Cloud's buster sword and Crocea Mors. Their gear.

"Why are you helping? I thought you work for him."

"I am the don's right hand man. But I owe Andrea Rhodea a favor. So I'm here on his behalf."

"Okay. Let's go. Just don't try anything or you will face my ninja wrath, hya!" the reaper made a stance to Zangan's art.

"Whatever."

"Ayo, fellas, we've got guests! And y'all got first crack at "entertaining" them!" said Kotch.

Aerith and Tifa entered the room staring at the lackeys that their eyes were reflected with" hunger". They already knew what he meant by" entertaining" them. The brawler was able to recognized the same guys that were on the slums on Sector 7 asking about Avalanche. They were all more than happy to see her again. Scotch the other announcer of the Colosseum was also present. They won't get the chance since the mission was still on. Though she felt sorry for Corneo for picking two guys over them. One of them being a SOLDIER.

"Courtesy of the ever-generous Don Corneo himself! Never forget-the don provides!"

"Corneo!"

"So, ladies. Ready...To get to it?" said Scotch.

"Yeah...I guess I'm good to go whenever. How about you Tifa?"

"Hm...Four guys between us...Okay. Let's not keep Cloud and Jaune waiting."

"Right."

"Wait...I know you...The Colosseum!" Scotch was shocked.

Aerith smiled before stomping his food. He was met by a kick from the brawler. A couple of kids taking out the rest of the lackeys as the florist made one of them tripped. Then she grabbed a metal chair, giving him a smile before she hit his head with it. The thrash was taken out in a matter of seconds.

"Good job Aerith."

"It was nothing compare to you" she imitated some of her moves.

They gave themselves a high five. The door was suddenly destroyed as a lackey was sent flying, hitting the ground. The two ladies were shocked thinking Cloud and Jaune have already made their move.

"Ninja!"

Ruby entered the room in her Zangan stance but smiled seeing her two friends safe and sound.

"Aerith, Tifa!" she rushed hugging the florist first then the brawler.

"Am I glad to see you-"

The brawler was caught off guard as the silver eyed petite wasn't happy staring at her.

"You lied to me!"

"I'm sorry, I really am. I didn't mean it. I promise I will make it up to you somehow."

"Hmm...You can start by treating me to some chocolate chip cookies. You do that, I might think about it."

"Deal!"

"I'll clean the mess here" Leslie arrived putting the bags on the ground.

"Right. He's here to help. You guys better change. Where's Jaune and Cloud?"

"With Corneo, he chose them both."

In returned the red cloak girl laughed. Boy was he going to be surprised when he learns the truth.

"You guys can handle it from here."

"You're not coming with us?" the Huntress gazed at the silver haired young man.

"If Corneo finds out I helped you. He'll have my head" he turned to leave.

"Better change before they get all the fun" smiled Aerith.

Jaune was so nervous as he and Cloud stood in Corneo's room. Pretty big space with a big comfy bed. Exactly the bedroom of a man who owns an entire town. He still hasn't forgotten that his dress was still killing him. Just how can some women wear these. At least the dress he wore at the Beacon dance was comfortable and it fitted him perfectly. The merc stood next to him looking ever calm. It didn't bothered him he was wearing a dress, or that he was with this guy who was probably a big time pervert. The Arc remembered why they were here. Now that Tifa is safe, they needed to get the information from the don. A sudden sound got their attention as he has taken a picture.

"This is the first time I have picked two. But you know what they say, two are better than one! Come on cuties give papa some sugar."

"Asshole" spoke the merc.

"Oh yes! The kitten has claws!" he rolled on the bed laughing.

"This guy needs help, big time" sweat dropped the Huntsman.

"So feisty I like it. I have to see this, and even capture it on camera heh heh. Cloudia I want you to hit Jeane!"

"What…?" the Arc stood shocked.

"You like hitting her, right? Then go ahead she's been a bad girl and deserves to get punished. I want to watch you as you spank her."

"He wouldn't!"

Poor Jaune turned to the merc who stood silent. Corneo was still holding the cord of the camera. Waiting to capture that moment.

"Don't keep me waiting. I want to see some spanking action. Go easy on her at first and then you go rough. Let me hear her cries until she enjoys it heh heh….."

"Son of a…."

The don crawled straight to the Arc giving such a sick perverted grin" first...Give me a kiss Jeane. If you do, maybe I'll ask Cloudia to spare you from receiving many spankings. Maybe ten max."

The Huntsman was shocked as he was about to get kissed before a fist hit his face hard. The man was sent to the other side of the bed. The Huntsman was so relief it never happened, he just froze up and couldn't do a thing. That's it, he needed to remove this dress for good. It's squeezing him so hard its disabling his brain and of course making it hard to think. The don got up glaring at the blond.

"Hey! Who the hell gave you permission to do that!?"

"One of you get in here and teach this bitch some manners!"

"I finally had it with this!" the Arc got up glaring at the man" time to answer our questions."

"What the-What happened to your voice?"

"Oh that, if you still can't see the big picture. I'm a guy! We're both guys!"

Cloud turned to him, looks like he was also done with this charade. Corneo stood in thought staring at the cross dressed males.

"You two are still cute so I don't mind."

"Wait, what!?" the Huntsman took a step back.

The doors opened as Tifa, Aerith and Ruby arrived. Jaune smiled seeing them. Right on time.

"Sorry. Your boys had to learn some manners too" replied the brawler.

"I took most of them out. Ninja style." The silver eyed petite smiled.

"What the-"

"You guys go and change. We'll handle him" said the florist handing the bag with their gear.

"Finally!" Jaune couldn't be any happier that he can take off this dress and put back his clothes.

The two left going to the other room to change. The three ladies stood staring at the don. The time has come for the reason they came here.

"What are you three up to?"

"We'll ask the questions" said the brawler.

"If it's money, you can forget it. I'm not giving you a single gil."

"Is that what you think?" Ruby sounded annoyed.

"We don't want your money. Just answer a few questions. Why did you had men in Sector 7 asking about Avalanche?"

"Huh? Dunno what you're talking about."

"Are we doing this?" asked the red cloak girl" we saw your men asking people where can they find Avalanche. You really want to pretend like you don't know?"

"Those men admitted to be working for you. And I know them, they were about to have their way with me and Aerith."

"Before they got their butts kicked" the petite smirked.

"So you better answer us truthfully...Or I can't guarantee what might happen to you if you don't" Tifa kept her threat hanging in the air.

"Let's try again. Why did you had men in Sector 7 asking about Avalanche? Spill the beans or…."

Ruby has immediately taken Crescent Rose" I'll slice them off!"

Corneo gasped looking like he was about to crap his pants. The sight of that scythe was enough to make him change his mind.

"Alright, alright! I'll talk! I'll talk!"

Cloud and Jaune returned wearing their clothes and weapons. They were just in time to see the man reveal his intentions with finding the eco-group.

"Some guy with a gun for an arm-I was paid to find him!"

"Barret…." whispered the red cloak petite worried.

"Paid by who?" the brawler kept her interrogation.

"I can't tell you that! They'd hunt me down like a dog!" he was scared.

"Well you better...'cause if you don't…."

"I'll cut 'em off" Cloud touched the hilt of his buster sword.

Corneo was more scared than ever, he eventually croaked" it was the director of Public Security Heidegger! It was Heidegger!"

"Heidegger…?" Jaune was shocked, not believing it.

"Shinra!? And what were they planning?" Tifa was no worried.

"Some things are better of left unsaid, ya know!?"

Ruby has suddenly acted on pure instinct as she charged at the don. Her weapon's sharp blade pointing at his neck. The group were shocked at her action.

"What are they planning!? Tell us!"

"Ruby, calm down…." said the Arc.

"I…Please don't…."

"Ruby. That's enough" the brawler calmed the Huntress as she glared back at the don" you better tell us everything. Or I'll smash 'em!"

Corneo gasped but he ended up chuckling" heh. Alright, you got me. I could never say no to a sexy girl. Since Avalanche blew up two reactors, Shinra's decided they ought to tamp them out, home base and all. And I mean" stamp out". By targeting the support pillar and blowing it up."

"The pillar?" she gasped with the rest.

"Did I stutter? The plate will come crashing down! It'll be Sector 6 all over again. I'm sure you've been there and seen the wreckage for yourself. So you know exactly what Sector 7's gonna look like!"

"They wouldn't…." Tifa was still in shock.

"That's bull crap!" Jaune has suddenly snapped" Shinra was the one that destroyed those reactors not Avalanche!"

"Hey, I don't care what they do and I don't consider myself a supporter of Shinra. But if you think they're going to believe that then, you must be that naive. I like you better when you were wearing a dress."

"It's not possible...Would they really destroy the slums?" followed the reaper.

"Come one guys! We gotta go!" said Aerith.

"Before you do!" the don stopped them in their tracks.

"We don't have time to waste on you anymore" said Cloud.

"Please! This won't take long! As everyone knows, villains only divulge their plans in a certain situation. But what is that situation?"

The party stood in thought not knowing what to answer. Just what was he trying to prove. They didn't had time to waste. They need to return to Sector 7. If its true then Barret and everyone were all in danger.

"Oh, I'm sorry! Time's up! The answer lies….In the sewers!"

He pulled down a golden lever near him and the party didn't got a chance to react as the ground below them opened revealing a trap door as they fell in. It closed immediately as the don laughed at their demise.

"Enjoy the sights and smells!"

To be continued

-Sorry for the delay but here it is another long chapter hope you enjoy it.

-Did I laughed at Jeane-er-I mean Jaune wearing a dress? Yes I did but I think Ruby laughed more at him lol.

-Characters I enjoyed Andrea and Madam definitely my favs from Wall Market.

-I think it was fitted for Jaune to give Cloud dancing advice. He knows from his sisters and mother. Also from Ren because Monty Oum was the one that made the animation dance during the episode Dance Dance infiltration RIP to the legend Monty.

-I apologize if I made Ruby missed the dance off with Andrea. It's just she's not the kind of girl who will get excited from something like dancing. She wasn't that interested in coming to the Beacon dance. Even if she did had a date I don't think she would want to. Pretty sure she can't dance and I'm also sure she doesn't want to either. She's different from other girls. That's why I like her character.

-Speaking of the dance off with Andrea. When I first saw Cloud and Andrea dancing together only one scene from one of my fav movies came to my mind. From American Wedding when Stiffler was dancing with the gay guy (I forgot his name) I laughed so hard it was impossible to keep a straight face watching that scene. Someone so serious like Cloud and he starts dancing like they also taught him that at military camp.

-The Hell House was a tough boss due to it's barrier God House Mode decreasing any kind of damage it receives. Always have Aerith for healing and support and avoid it's charge that can take a lot of your HP and even one shot you. Attack him and watch your health, use summons like Ifrit, Shiva or Fat Chocobo for aid. When it's HP is almost depleted use limit but make sure it's staggered for more damage.

-Replying to reviews:

*Dragon lord Syed 101- thanks but I wanted all four of them to compete in the Colosseum.

*TheEmeraldMage- always happy for your long review glad that you still like the story. Let's see if I can start reading the Tales of Berseria manga because I still haven't read the Honkai Impact one.

*fernandamichelleraya- thanks a lot hope you enjoy this chapter.

*calderoneric758- don't know yet maybe. I am planning in Ruby giving their weapons an upgrade but I don't know if it will be in the first part of the story.

*Jebes4781- you guessed right lol.

*franco1234- they wore dresses but they didn't danced in them because Cloud didn't in the game. Also I think Jaune would have trip because his dress was too tight for him to move freely lol.

*Guest- for that I might have a surprise for it since Jaune only enhanced Ruby's and Cloud's during the fight with the Hell House.

*Siegnir- I already did and Ruby wasn't there but she had a great laugh at them wearing their new makeover lol.

*keybladelight- I made him like both cross dressing Cloud and Jaune. I mean Cloudia and Jeane.

*Gry24- hard to say though I do have some slight changes. One of the reasons I will be taking a long break after the next chapter. I need to work my ideas for when I resume and eventually reach the end of the first part of the game.

*Saint Saber Fang- if you want to upload your stories on this site then be my guess. Just start on which story you want to work first. Don't know about me giving you advice on them specially if you're including Trails of Cold Steel and Bleach.

*Espada-001- hope you're not disappointed because she wasn't present during the dance off sorry. I think she wouldn't be that interested because she wasn't that happy with coming to the Beacon dance. She's different from regular girls that's what makes her special to me.

*Gabriel443- muchas gracias.

-Off topic I am so pissed at Netflix for allowing to have the movie "Cuties" on their streaming platform. The movie is disgusting where it sexualizes eleven year old girls with them twerking that's right twerking. This movie is trying to normalize the p word only disgusting perverts would support it. So if Netflix won't remove it then they're in deep shit. Cancel your subscription immediately #CancelNetflix.

-Next chapter will be the last one before going on break. It will be a while at least until we get more updates on game 2.

-Another off topic I think Rooster Teeth is running out of money. They've been in a lot of trouble since last year ever since Vic Mignogna got fired from voicing Qrow.

-As always thank you very much for the favs, follows and reviews I really appreciate it.

Next time: Calm of the storm
