Bakugo Expelled

Chapter twenty-three: Penance Begin

Bakugo, as well as Izuku and Todoroki, was shocked as the three of them were filled in on what all had gone on in the time between the three of them being killed and the three of them being returned to life. Apparently, a massive number of villains had attacked the city in a bid to take it over, but they were all ultimately defeated by the heroes, the visiting Americans, and a number of select allies that were all in the area at the time.

The three boys, the color still flushed from their skin a bit, were recovering in a hospital room together as they were filled in on what all had happened. In the hospital room with there were some adults; Bakugo's father Masaru, Izuku's mother Inko, Toshinori aka All Might, Detective Naomasa and Aizawa. Aggro Ace was also in there, as he had to give a statement to Naomasa on his actions in the villains' siege on the city.

There was also another reason why Aggro was there; it was he who killed Bakugo and the boys during the team battle event, before said event was interrupted. He did not intend to kill any of them, mind you, but in his lost temper fury he put way too much effort into his attacks. Luckily for Aggro, he was also the one who returned Bakugo and the others to life; as a Sacred Heritage quirk user, Aggro has a move that lets him resurrect the dead, and it was with this move that he returned the boys to life.

"…Well ultimately," Aizawa said, "No harm has come of this, since he cleaned up his mess. That, coupled with his actions in lending aid to help repel the villains' siege, leads us to conclude that his actions against you boys during the team battle event will be pardoned."

"What I would like to know is why Young Aggro here seemed so keen to chase after Young Mineta during the team battle event," Toshinori remarked.

The adults all turned to look at Bakugo, who gave a forced cough. With all eyes on him, the explosive teen said, "Yeah, I think that Deku, IcyHot and I may have an explanation." Bakugo turned to look at Aggro. "You'll back me up if I cover certain points, right?" Aggro, with a bit of a curious look on his face, nodded in agreement, and that prompted Bakugo to go on about his theory that Mineta was the person Aggro was chasing back in Royal Woods, during the incident that resulted in the deaths of five class 1-A boys.

Bakugo covered a few other points, such as how Mineta matched the description that was given on the person who Aggro was chasing because said person fondled a girl's butt. The adults, as they all listened, had their eyes go wider and wider with shock, Aizawa especially so. Bakugo gave Naomasa a curious look and asked if it was possible to arrange a sit-down with Mineta to ask certain questions, just to confirm things.

With a mildly troubled look on his face, the good detective replied, "It's ultimately up to Nezu, but if he consents then I can get right on it."

"I'll make a convincing argument," Aizawa remarked dryly, a hint in his tone suggesting that he was going to get very cross with a certain unrepentant pervert very soon. The adults were all beginning to leave, but they stopped when Bakugo called out for Aggro to wait.

"Hey, samurai bastard," Bakugo said, "You brought me, Deku and IcyHot back to life, right?" Aggro nodded slowly in the affirmative. "…Then is it possible that you can also bring Kirishima, Kaminari and the others you killed during the field trip back to life as well?"

Bakugo's heart sank a bit when Aggro gently shook his head in the negative. "…If I could, then I would have done so in a heartbeat. But too much time has passed since then and now. The resurrection moves of Sacred Heritage quirk users have limits. If a dead person's body has too much damage, or if the dead person has been dead for too long, then resurrection is not possible."

"Well there goes that plan," Aizawa remarked as he snapped his fingers, "We actually have the bodies of the boys you killed during the field trip from a while ago over at the local morgue here. We were hoping that you would be able to return them to life as part of your penance that you agreed to do, but if your power really is limited by how much time has passed, then I suppose that there's nothing that can be done." The underground hero gave a shrug of his shoulders. "…I guess we'll have to do something else."

"Penance?" Izuku spoke up, a curious look on his face.

Everyone turned to look at where the pale-skinned green-eyed boy sat up in his hospital bed. "Indeed, Young Midoriya," Toshinori remarked. Gesturing to where Aggro stood, the former Symbol of Peace began to explain, "Young Aggro here has agreed to remain in Japan for the time being to help the heroes clean up what remains of the last of the villains' influence that's still staining the good streets out there."

Naomasa nodded a few times in the affirmative. "Of the vast number of villains that fought in the villains siege yesterday, a little over one-hundred thousand were killed, partly because the HPSC activated the Kaiju Protocol, thus giving the heroes permission to use lethal force. Among the villains that were killed were a lot of the big names of the attacking force, so we don't have to worry about the few hundred remaining villains being able to rally effectively."

"Even so, there are still a few hundred villains left out there," Toshinori remarked, "Not to mention the last of All for One's influence in the form of his supposed doctor friend, and we're still investigating to find out who this Mysterious Benefactor who is the man behind a lot of what all has happened as of late."

A bit of a dark look came over Izuku's face. "…Like how Uraraka was almost murdered a few times."

"I refuse to let anything happen to any of my students if I can help it," Aizawa declared firmly, "I will be helping to look for the bastard who's trying to kill Uraraka so that the police can arrest his sorry ass." Turning to face Naomasa, Aizawa added, "Speaking of police, Naomasa. You said that you wanted to see me and Eri about something?"

The good detective nodded in the affirmative as he led the adults out of the room, to allow the boys to rest. Aggro hung back for just a bit, saying that he wanted to speak with the boys alone. The permission was granted, and Aggro, closing the door behind the others, turned to look at Bakugo, Izuku and Todoroki. The male Ace twin let out a troubled, mildly resigned sigh before he began to speak up.

"…I truly am sorry for having lost myself in my temper," Aggro remarked, a somber look on his face, "What I did to the three of you, to your five friends, what I really wanted to only do to that perverted little twat that I had caught fondling my girlfriend's rear end. I really am serious when I said that I'd bring your five friends back if my power was still within the time limit."

"Wait, so the girl from the incident that made you kill our classmates during the field trip is your girlfriend?" Bakugo asked. The explosive teen had a look of contemplation on his face. After a few seconds of silence, Bakugo shrugged, gave off an amused smirk. "…Personally, I'd be liable to kill too if I caught Grape Head grabbing my girlfriend's ass."

"There's…one other thing that I may need to apologize to you for, Bakugo," Aggro said, "I had been informed that you are very much interested in pursuing a Japanese villain who went by the name of Spinner." Bakugo confirmed, saying that he wanted to kick the lizardman villain's ass for the stunt that he pulled. "…That is why I am sorry. During the villains' siege on the city, the villain Spinner, along with his fellows Dabi and Toga, tried attacking me. I killed Spinner and Dabi while my protégé Lincoln-kun killed Toga."

The three resurrected boys all went wide-eyed with shock at what Aggro told them; he, with a little assistance from his protégé, killed a trio of notorious villains. Todoroki recalled how the villain Dabi was very much interested in him, and Izuku still shuddered a bit whenever he recalled any of what all Toga did to/involving him. As for Bakugo, he felt that he had to be the one to kill Spinner, as it was Spinner who killed Bakugo's mother Mitsuki.

But no, Aggro had beaten him to the punch on that one. And that is part of why the Samurai Hero was apologizing to the three boys about killing that specific trio of villains, or at least apologizing to Bakugo about it; Aggro acknowledged that he stole a kill from Bakugo, and he felt that some matter of apology had to be given over the matter. Bakugo, too tired to care much anymore, decided to let it go; although he would have liked to have been the one to avenge his late mother, the point remains that Mitsuki, ultimately, had been avenged.

That's all that matters to Bakugo in the end, he supposed.

Aizawa, accompanied by Hizashi, stood on either side of a door leading into an interrogation room at the police station. Both U.A. teachers had their arms crosses as they were seemingly waiting for something. After a short while, the door opened and Naomasa came out, a look of mildly disgusted resignation on his face. He closed the door, walked a few steps ahead, turned to face the pro heroes who were waiting for him. The good detective gave a resigned sigh.

"…I've just confirmed it. Minoru Mineta really is the person who Sengoku was chasing in that incident in Royal Woods that led to Sengoku killing the five boys who were in Aizawa's homeroom class." The first thing that Aizawa did upon hearing Naomasa confirm what he just said was yell in as loud and angry of a bellowing shout as possible. The underground hero was beyond furious, beyond mad that Mineta, one of his own students, was responsible for leading eight others in class 1-A into getting killed, with only three being lucky enough to be brought back.

As the underground hero panted hard to catch his breath after his mighty shout, Hizashi looked at him, a bit of a hesitant look on his face. "What…what are you going to do now, Sho?" asked the cockatiel-haired hero nervously, never before having seen his friend like this.

"…I need to discuss things with Nezu first," Aizawa began, his cool barely having been regained, "But if he consents, then I fully intend to expel Mineta from U.A." He shook his head in disappointment. "He got multiple classmates of his killed, all because he's unable to keep it in his pants. I had hopes for him, like I do with all of the students that were ever under my watch, but now…" Both Hizashi and Naomasa looked stunned when tears began to fall down the sides of Aizawa's face.

The underground hero's shoulders shook a bit as he shuddered, trying to choke back some sobs. "…Five of my boys are dead, with nothing that can be done about it even though Japan has a Sacred Heritage quirk user right now." Hizashi understood how his close friend felt, moved to gently wrap his arms around the crying Aizawa to hug him and try to make him feel better. Aizawa then proceeded to cry a little into Hizashi's left shoulder, overcome with grief over how, even with all the hope he had built up because Sengoku was able to return three U.A. boys (among others) back to life after the villains' siege on the city, that hope was torn down before it had even gotten a chance to build up.

All because Mineta thought mainly, if not exclusively, with his manhood.

It turned out that, when she was killed by Lincoln Loud during the villains' siege, Toga had on her person Uraraka's missing ring, the special one that was stolen from her locker a while ago. It was reasoned that the late Toga, using her quirk to temporarily turn into Uraraka, had been the one to steal the gravity girl's special ring that she had. After some arrangements were made, the ring was returned to Uraraka, but that wasn't the main thing on her mind.

No, Uraraka was busy fretting over her boyfriend.

The boys were still recovering a bit when they were visited by a group consisting of Uraraka, Pony and Reiko. The three girls were all beyond relieved when they saw that their slain boyfriends had all been brought back to life. The three girls also expressed extreme disgust when Bakugo explained to them what all had happened in regards to the discussions involving Mineta; indeed, Bakugo, as well as Izuku and Todoroki, were told by Toshinori an hour prior to the girls' visit right now that Mineta had just been confirmed as the ultimate guilty party in the incident that led Sengoku into killing five boys from class 1-A.

"So puny purple pervert is true cause of all bad feelings," Pony reasoned, a look of mildly brewing anger on her face as she, Reiko and Uraraka contemplated what all Bakugo and the other boys had just told them.

Izuku held up a hand, getting everyone's attention. "I was told by All might while he was here to see me, Todoroki and Kacchan earlier that Aizawa-sensei is looking into convincing Principal Nezu to expel Mineta from U.A." The green-eyed boy saw certain unhappy looks on the faces of the girls, and feared that they might act out against Mineta while the teachers were working on what all to do with the unrepentant pervert.

Uraraka let out a resigned sigh, looking like she was just denied something that she would have wanted. "…Well, at least that pervert will be getting what he has coming." The gravity girl unconsciously brushed her right had over her left, brushing against her special ring that she now had back and was wearing. Gently shaking her head, Uraraka said, "But ultimately, I don't really care about Mineta." Leaving forward, Uraraka planted a kiss on Izuku's lips, drawing a look of surprise out of her kind, gentle boyfriend. Smiling, Uraraka said, "I'm just glad that you're okay now, Izuku. I have no idea what I'd do if you had not been brought back to life."

"Not everyone is as lucky, Uraraka," Reiko spoke up, getting her to turn to look at the ghost girl of class 1-B. She gave a gentle shake of her head, one that conveyed disappointment. "…Nothing can be done about the five boys who were killed during the field trip your class took. Those who cared about them will still have to mourn them."

Bakugo leaned back, laying back down on his hospital bed. "…Yeah. A lot of people are still missing loved ones, loved ones that could have been returned by that samurai bastard if it were still within the time limit for his power to resurrect the dead. But no, the guys have been dead for too long, so nothing can be done to bring them back." The ashy-haired boy let out a troubled, resigned sigh as he looked up at the ceiling in the room he was recovering in.

He still couldn't believe that things were so bad, even after a lot of good had been done.

When word came to the students of U.A.'s class 1-A and class 1-B that Minoru Mineta had been expelled from school, the reactions were a mix of regret, disappointment, sadness and…oh, who the hell am I kidding, all of them were fucking celebrating the expulsion of that perverted purple midget. Class 1-A even held a celebratory party in their dorm building to celebrate Mineta being kicked out; all of class 1-B, as well as the Big Three, were all there as well.

It was also the first thing that Bakugo, Izuku and Todoroki got to do after being released from the hospital, as they had fully recovered from what had been dubbed as 'resurrection sickness'. Well, that's not entirely true; the three boys all tested their quirks out first, to see if anything was up. Luckily for all three of them, the boys' quirks all worked perfectly fine. In fact, they were all stronger and the boys had finer control over them.

So not only did the three boys come back, but they came back stronger than before.

Bakugo, after cluing Izuku and Todoroki in on what he wanted to do, agreed with him and got everyone at the party to gather around. After that, they proceeded to tell the rest of the party guests all about their trip to Asgard, where they actually met the five dead class 1-A boys on a party barge. And yes, they confirmed to Ibara that it was Asgard that they went to; the devout Christian was left reeling at the shocking revelation that it was the Viking afterlife that had been confirmed just now.

They also proceeded to cover filling the party guests in on what all they discussed with the boys; Kyoka looked fit to cry when she heard that Kaminari died thinking that she hated him, even though she was assured that Bakugo corrected the dead electric boy's thoughts in that regard. Hagakure looked a bit embarrassed that Ojiro was told that she was basically trying to replace him, and Tsuyu seemed a bit sad over how Tokoyami was apparently felt guilty over how he left not just her behind, but also her younger siblings who had grown fond of him as something of a big brother figure to look up to.

Kinoko sat silently when she heard what the boys said about what they told Kirishima, who acted surprised to learn that a girl (Kinoko herself to be specific) had been in love with him and, from what Kirishima's apparent response was, he would have probably been interested in pursuing being in a relationship with her. Knowing that she could have had the guy who had stolen her heart made the mushroom girl even more upset because she'll never get to experience being with Kirishima, but at the same time she felt a little better.

Because he sounded like he would have been interested in her.

"So that Viking girl who Ibara pissed off that one time is right," Juzo said. The softening quirk boy turned to look at his Christian classmate, an amused and mildly expectant look on his face. "…Well, Ibara? Don't you have anything to share with the rest of the class?"

"Please just…just shut up." Ibara was still reeling from how one of the many afterlives that she dismissed had just been confirmed to be real, so the last thing that she needed was for one of her classmates to rag on her because her religion has yet to 'be confirmed'.

Clapping his hands together, Yosetsu said, "Well we can all get started on offering up praise to the all-father Odin later. For now, we still have a party to throw!" The rest of the partying students all cheered as they got back to dancing and partying the night away. That still didn't break Ibara out of her shocked stupor, though.

The following day, Aizawa and Hizashi, with Eri sitting nearby, were waiting in an office at the police station. The horn on Eri's head was at the moment little more than a small, rounded bump thta had a barely notable point to it, and the little horned girl looked very much tired, as if she had just given a very great effort. The waiting of the party was soon rewarded when Naomasa entered the office. He walked around to sit down at his desk, in front of which the pro heroes sat.

The good detective let out a troubled sigh as he set some papers down. "…We caught the doctor fellow who was working with All for One," Naomasa began, "Sengoku actually helped a great deal with the doctor's capture. We also were able to uncover a number of dormant nomus that the doctor had made, and we decided to destroy them all while they were dormant. The last of All for One's taint on society has been cleaned away for good."

Aizawa and Hizashi both let out relieved sighs, more than glad to hear that the evil of All for One has been cleaned up for good. "Yes, we still have a bit of stuff to do first before society is truly relieved from all that plagues it," Naomasa said, "Mainly in regards to finding the man who had been funneling funds to the villains for so long. This 'Mysterious Benefactor' fellow has to be uncovered and arrested before he can be stopped for good. Luckily, Sengoku is still in Japan to help out with cleaning up society here, and we fully intend to put his power behind all of the efforts that we'll be making."

"Well that goes without saying, Detective," remarked Aizawa as he gestured to Naomasa, "But that's aside the point. What's the final prognosis on what the three of us had Eri do earlier?"

Naomasa let out another sigh, gently shook his head. "…There's bad news and good news. The bad news is that Eri's efforts ultimately failed to achieve the results that you were hoping for." Aizawa and Hizashi both let out resigned sighs, with Aizawa even snapping his fingers in a way to convey disappointment. Eri heard that she had ultimately failed to do whatever it was that the adults were talking about, and she looked sad about it.

As the heroes looked disappointed, Naomasa allowed himself to crack a smile. "…This here is the good news, if you care to read it." The good detective slid forward a few sheets of paper, stapled together, over to Aizawa, who picked it up and began to read through it. The eyes of the underground hero began to widen a bit, widening more and more as he read on. Hizashi, curious, leaned over to read what all Aizawa was reading.

Aizawa allowed himself to crack a smile, one that conveyed relief and greatly restored hope.

END, CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

Author's notes;

This is the final chapter of the 'Revenge arc'; the purpose of this arc is focusing on the concept of getting revenge, even though most efforts made in that regard in this arc fell through for one reason or another. Anyway, the next chapter will be the first of the 'Downfall arc'; the reason for that name will be made clear when the first bits of the next chapter get rolling. Also, I had an idea for an entirely separate arc as well, but I couldn't think of enough to sustain it so I'm taking what all I thought of for it and putting it into the 'Downfall arc'. What I had/have in mind was hinted at here in this chapter, by the way.

Also, sorry if this chapter is a bit short compared to the average for this story.
