Chapter 24 - Driving Into A Bee Trap

It's been a couple of months since Riley met the Decepticons. It's also been a couple of months since Riley became Raina. She was a new person now. Completely memory wiped, new name, and even new looks since the last time she's been in Jasper.
It was the second week at school and so far, she didn't make any friends. But now she had the Decepticons, whom she grew closer too. After school, Knockout or Breakdown would pick her up and she would spend her time upon the Nemesis. Her parents just thought it was a club and didn't go any further to find out.
Raina grew close to everybot, even Megatron. It made him feel slightly bad that he was lying so he admitted some of the truth. He told her that they purposely kidnapped her, but still kept the Autobots being bad, apart of the story. She didn't seem to mind at that point.
Megatron has just left for his voyage into space, apparently to grow his army more. Now Starscream was in charge but that never became a problem to Raina. Her and the seeker were close, in fact, she was the only one who could stand him! She was his only friend too (pretty sad :( ).
As Raina left the school, she spotted Knockout's alt waiting in the parking lot. Immediately, she rushed towards the Aston Martin and hopped inside. Today, Knockout promised to take her on a race that he attended.
"Hey Knocky!" Raina greeted, buckling herself in. Knockout jerked his seat a bit. He didn't like the nickname. Raina only laughed at the action.
"Hello Rain'" he greeted back. "Ready for tonight?". "Definitely! I know you'll win." Raina exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air. She was super excited and totally ready.
Knockout drove down a few blocks before stopping at a specific location. Then the groundbridge appeared and he drove right through at full speed. Soon the two were driving through the halls towards Knockout's lab.
Once they arrived, Raina got her papers and pencil out from her bag. Breakdown greeted Knockout and Raina as they went to their own things. Then Breakdown continued his lesson with Cybertronian. Raina wrote and spoke her best. It took everything in Knockout to not laugh at the poor girl saying things wrong.
She had picked up on their slang and often used it. She also knew a lot about their history and ways. Thanks to Knockout, she also knew a lot of their biology and basic repairs. She even demonstrated her martial arts skills to her new friends. Megatron promised to train with her when he returned, after being impressed.
A few hours later, it was time. Breakdown wished Raina and Knockout fun as the two sped off.
"Tonight, you'll see the best race ever!" Knockout announced as he drove down the roads. The night sky surrounding them. Eventually Knockout lined up with other cars, revving his engine.
"These guys don't know who they're up against." Raina said glaring out the window to the other drivers. "You got that right" Knockout added quickly before a guy stepped out. He stood in front of the cars, raising his hand up. Every engine rumbled in anticipation as he looked around. Then he waved his hand down and every car started to speed off.
There were about 6 other drivers aside from Knockout, that were racing that evening. A blue car cut off a green car, resulting in the green car flipping the blue one. Raina watched in 'Aw' as the blue car wobbled on it's back. Then Knockout got bashed by an orange car. He was not happy about that, worrying about his paint job. He fully forced himself to bash the car back, leading it to crash into a tree. Raina cheered Knockout on after he laughed at the poor driver. The same green car bumped another car, making the car in front put the brakes on, leading to a crash for the both of them. Two cars remained, meaning Knockout had to take out competition.
"Which car should I go after?" He asked as the two cars were in view. "The yellow one!" She shouted, pointing to the car on the right.
Knockout sped up and bashed the car towards the guard rails. The car lost its control and swerved side to side. Then it spun around a few times before stopping. It revved it's engine as it sped after Knockout who was already passing the other car. Eventually the yellow car caught up and bashed the backside of Knockout.
"Stupid fleshies" Knockout sneered. Raina looked at him with a 'really?' look. "Well that guy is!" He shouted angrily as he sped up. The finish line not too far now.
Raina looked in the rear view and saw another car enter the track. The same car she saw with Megatron a couple months back. It was a yellow car as well but with black racing stripes. It was heading directly at Knockout, avoiding the other drivers along the way.
"I know that car" Knockout and Raina said in unison. "How?!" They asked each other at the same time again.
"It was stalking Megatron and I two months ago!" Raina said panicked as she looked out the window. "It's an Autobot! Raina get away from the window and in the back!" Knockout quickly instructed. Raina didn't even question him as she quickly climbed over. She only made it half way before the Urbana bashed into Knockout.
"Autobot scum! Watch the paint job!" Knockout yelled at the car. The two kept bashing each other, hoping the other would lose control. Raina managed to get in the back, sighing in relief. Thanks to the windows, the Autobot couldn't see inside Knockouts alt.
"Hold on kid!" Knockout yelled as he suddenly swerved the opposite direction of the Autobot. Knockout was now driving on the plains of Jasper, heading for another road. Then he turned the whole car around and headed up the road, catching the Autobot off guard.
Raina in the back, was thrown around like a rag doll. The final turn caused her head to bash on the door.
"Sorry Raina, gotta lose him." Knockout apologized looking in the back with his rear view mirror. She gave a small smile with a thumbs up, causing him to chuckle a bit.
Then without warning, the Urbana was in front and transformed. He grabbed a hold of Knockout who was screaming more about his paint job.
"Knockout to Nemesis! Requesting a groundbridge right now! Autobots are attacking and I have Raina with me!" He quickly commed as he tried to escape the Autobots grasp, while in his alt.
Raina was silently freaking out in the back, hoping for the Decepticons to show up. Knockout realized he had no choice and transformed. He got out of the grasp and held Raina in his servos. He covered her so the bot wouldn't see her. Placing her down, he told her to hide. Raina nodded and headed to a nearby boulder.
"You must be Bumblebee, the Autobot scout." Knockout smugly smiled as he transformed his servo into his saw. ::And your Knockout, the crybaby of the Decepticons:: Bee teased, getting his blaster out. Knockout growled at that and attacked the bug.
Raina watched as Knockout swung at Bumblebee who shot in return. Eventually, Bee hit Knockout, sending him back and on to the ground.
"Knockout!" Raina shouted distressed. Then she felt Bumblebee's stare on her. His big, round, baby blue eyes staring at her. Raina ducked behind the rock before Bumblebee could get a good look.
Bumblebee ran towards Raina but was stopped when Knockout grabbed his ankle. He tripped, rumbling the floor beneath her. She squealed in fright but heard a familiar noise. Looking up, the groundbridge opened and out came some Vehicons.
::Ratchet! Requesting backup! Decepticons!:: Bumblebee commed as he kicked Knockout off of him.
A Vehicon walked towards Raina, grabbing her and running back to the portal. Then Raina felt herself flying back to the ground as the Vehicon got shot in the back. She landed roughly, thankfully no broken bones.
Raina did feel a lot of pain, too much to stand up. She was gonna have so much bruises and cuts, her parents were gonna freak!
"Why am I worrying about them when I should be running!" She muttered to herself as she tried to stand up and run to the portal, only to fall.
Then she heard another portal open, this time 3 other bots came out. One was taller than the rest, he was red and blue with a battle mask. Another one was bigger and green, wreaking ball as his hand. The last was the smallest, it looked like a girl, she was blue and had a blaster ready.
Raina freaked out major time, scampering backwards with her hands while still down. The blue one heard her scream, looking in her general direction. More Vehicon troops came out, alongside Breakdown and Starscream.
"Optimus Prime" Starscream sneered. His attention was short lived when he saw Raina.
"Breakdown, get her and bring her back." Starscream ordered. Breakdown was about to protest, just cause Bulkhead hadn't noticed him and he really wanted a fight.
"Now!" Starscream screamed, ordering again. "Yes Starscream" he huffed as he went and grabbed the small 12 year old. "It's Lord!" Starscream screeched, as Breakdown left through the groundbridge.
Raina felt grateful and relieved that Breakdown had save her. "Thanks Breakdown, I know you wanted to fight but you got stuck with saving me." Raina said sincerely.
"Just sad I didn't get to pound Bulkheads face but it's fine. As long as my favourite little destroyer is ok." He said, giving a playful nuggie to Raina's head with his digit. She laughed, trying to squirm out of the way.
"I'm not a destroyer!" She said playfully. "Are you kidding me? You know how to fight! And really well! If you were a Cybertronian, the Autobots would fear you!" He complimented while also re-amazed that a human could even fight as well as they could. Raina blushed at his statement, replying with "nahhhh".
Breakdown and Raina waited in the medical bay for an hour before Knockout came in, absolutely scratched up. He was grumbling angrily to himself as Breakdown handed him his buffer.
"Fragging Autobots" Knockout sneered as he buffed himself. "Language!" Breakdown shouted. Knockout looked at Raina who sat down on the counter, confused by the new word.
"Don't ever repeat that! Got it?" He said, pointing at Raina. She nodded her head nervously.
After a while, Knockout was back in his happy mood, being all buffed up. Breakdown assisted Knockout with the Vehicon's injuries, resulting in an hour long wait for Raina. Knockout also pointed out stuff, teaching Raina some more of the basics.
After they were all done, Knockout tended to Raina, who was patiently waiting the whole time. As Knockout cleaned the cut in her left cheek, he noticed a scar on the on the side of her forehead.
"What happened there?" Knockout asked, putting his holoform's finger on it. Raina looked down in sorrow, quietly saying "a fire."
Knockout saw it was touchy and didn't further question. Soon he heard a small whimper from Raina. Thinking he touched her cut, apologized.
"No, it's ok. It wasn't you. Just remembering..." Raina said quietly. Knockout's holoform and Breakdown exchanged confused but worried glances. They weren't the best when it came to these situations so they didn't know how to approach it.
"Uh...want to...talk about it?" Breakdown offered hesitantly. Knockout gave a dagger glare at him who shrugged his shoulders in defence.
"It was one of my closest friends. She and my other friends were camping in the woods. There was a fire and she didn't make it." Raina said, curling up and burying her face in her knees. Knockout and Breakdown weren't sure how to comfort her now.
"Look what you did!" Knockout mouthed to Breakdown. Breakdown looked offended at Knockout as he carefully rubbed Raina's back with his digit.
"It's ok, I'm sure she was a really good friend." Breakdown tried with his words. Raina looked up at him and smiled. "You would have loved her. She was super sweet and kind. Saw good in everyone, and she always had your back."
Breakdown gave a kind smile back as Knockout tended to the rest of her cuts and bruises.
After a while, it was nearly midnight so Raina got bridged back. Of course, her parents worried but Raina gave a small but believable explanation. They were satisfied with it and they all went to bed.
The next day, after school, Raina was summoned by Starscream in the Nemesis. She entered the communications room, greeting Soundwave before going to Starscream.
"You called?" She asked, looking up at the stiletto heeled mech. He looked down, smiling as if he had a plan. Couldn't be good though since he was terrible at those.
He carefully grabbed Raina and placed her down in the console in front of him. For some reason, a wave of fear hit Raina when he picked her up but she wasn't sure why. Then he pulled up a picture of Bumblebee in his alt, parked at some plaza.
"This bot attacked you yesterday, yes?" Starscream asked. Raina nodded in confirmation as Starscream continued to explain.
"Thanks to Soundwave, he was recently spotted here. I have a plan on how to capture him without humans spotting us." Raina looked up at him confused as he pointed at her. "We need a human." He clarified further.
"But how am I supposed to get a bot that's way bigger than me?" She asked. "Well, Autobots don't want humans knowing they exist either. So if you just go up to him and somehow get in. No one should suspect anything. Then claim a 'big robot' was chasing you. He should think it was one of us and drive away. Once he does, guide him to this location. Then when he makes a sudden turn, he'll go through our groundbridge and into the Nemesis."
Raina thought about the plan and it seemed pretty good. But she still didn't want to get inside of the enemy!
"You sure you need me for this plan?" She asked, hoping she could get off the hook. He shook his head, leaving Raina defeated.
After a few mins, she was ushered through a groundbridge into an alley way. She peeked her head out and saw he was still there. She had her hoodie and jeans on rather than her normal pink t-shirt and jean shorts. She put her hood up and readied herself.
She ducked back, breathing in and out before running out. She had a panicked look on her face as she ran towards Bumblebee. He moved his rear view mirrors, looking at the girl running at him. Then she sat against his alt, making him tense up a bit.
"Big...robot...need to find...help" Raina panted. She acted like she was saying it to herself but loud enough so Bee could hear. Bumblebee, of course, reacted to those words and concluded one thing. He opened the door and beeped for her to get in.
What confused her was that she understood what he said but she didn't dwell on it, only pretending she didn't understand him. She got in anyway and he started to speed off. His rear view mirrors looking around.
"Wait are you one of them?" Raina asked. ::Yes I am. Wait you probably can't understand...uh. Oh I know!:: he said to himself. Not really knowing she could understand. The screen inside his car showed a thumbs up as it said 'good guy'.
"Wait go down this way! Trust me." Raina said, pointing. Right in the direction of the groundbridge location. Bumblebee was hesitant but followed suit anyways. He wasn't in Jasper often but she must've been, so she knew her way around. That was his mindset at least.
She pointed a few more times until they approached the final turn. She smiled, happy that the plan was working. She could've sworn she smiled evilly but she wasn't evil. Neither were the Decepticons.
She pointed underneath a highway. "Go there!" She said. Bumblebee made the turn but tried to brake as he was halfway through a groundbridge that wasn't his own.
Raina quickly opened the passenger door and jumped out as they were in a room upon the Nemesis. Bumblebee transformed and quickly turned around, only for the groundbridge to close.
Then he looked at the girl who was currently running away. Now he was angry at himself and this human. He couldn't tell how old she was or what she even looked like.
::I'm so stupid! Did she lead me into the trap?! I swear on Primus if the Decepticons are stooping so low as to have gotten humans to work for them!:: Bumblebee muttered time himself. He looked at the door and walked towards it and the girl.
Raina noticed him trying to leave but Starscream already entered with Vehicons. He let her slip by as he walked towards the scout.
"You Autobots just can't help being so kind to humans, can you?" Starscream teased, walking up to the scout. Bumblebee was frightened by the current situation but kept a strong posture and face. He wasn't going to let it show.
::I'm surprised a human is working for you. Not willingly obviously:: Bumblebee retorted.
"You are mistaken, she definitely does not work for us. She's our friend. And she can leave and come, whenever she pleases." Starscream sneered happily. Bumblebee looked down at the doorway, seeing her spying on them.
::Where's Megatron? Too cowardly to do this himself?:: Bumblebee asked, staring dead in Starscream's red optics. "Lord Megatron is currently on a little adventure through space. But don't worry, I'll show a little more mercy on you bug!" Starscream reached out, placing his claws under Bumblebee's chin. Bumblebee jerked back and held his fists up, ready to fight.
Starscream laughed as Vehicons surrounded Bumblebee and had him down faster than he could react. They lead him to a cell, leaving him dangling above the floor helplessly.
"Good work Raina. Megatron would be pleased if he heard about this" Starscream (actually) complimented. "He would be impressed, no offence, that your plan actually worked." Raina complimented back.
Starscream didn't look offended, shocking himself. He walked away, telling Raina she was free to go. Raina was left in the dark halls, wondering what to do. That's when she knew.
She waited until Starscream left before making her way to Bumblebee's cell. The two Vehicons looked at her confused.
"I want to see him. Please?" She asked, cupping her hands and giving the biggest puppy eyes she could muster. The soldiers looked at each other before nodding. She smiled as the door opened and she walked inside.
It was dark, only a single light illuminating the room. The same light also shone on the scout. His optics showing fear and defeat. His frame covered in scratches, and he was also slightly shaking.
When he heard the door open, he looked up, fearful. But no one was there until he looked down. The girl, Raina, was there. Her hood was still up and she was in the darkness, hiding her identity.
Looking at Bumblebee, it felt like she knew him. But she couldn't remember how, instead she concluded the feeling was probably from the photograph of him. One of the many she had that held no explanation.
"What did he do to you?" She asked herself as she slowly crept up to him. He wasn't scared of her but what else could come through that door.
He looked away, testing the restraints but to no luck. She started to feel bad for him. She tried to repress the feelings of guilt, reminding herself of what Megatron told her. But she still couldn't help it.
"I...I have a question for you...Bumblebee right?" She asked out loud, breaking the eerie silence. He nodded his head.
"My question is...why don't you talk like the others? And why do you want to suppress Megatron's request for equality?"
Bumblebee looked at her confused. Ignoring the first question for a second. Then realization hit him. If they didn't force the human, they tricked her.
::That's not true...and my voice got damaged in battle. Wait. You sound familiar:: he beeped. Then he internally face palmed himself. She can't understand him but to his shock, she responded.
"That really sucks...and what do you mean it's not true?" She asked. Bee just looked at her, dumbfounded.
::Y-You understand me?!:: he asked. Slightly joyful and forgetting his situation. Raina gave him a 'duh' look.
"You seem familiar to me as well but I don't know why or how. I didn't know you guys existed till a couple months back" she explained to him.
::Why are you with the Decepticons?! They're the bad guys! They destroyed our home, killed millions of lives! You shouldn't be with them, your too kind. Help me out of here and I'll introduce you to the others. I swear on the Allspark that what I'm saying is the truth.::
Raina thought over his words, but she didn't know him. He did swear upon their afterlife but as far as she knew, the Decepticons have been there for her. She felt conflicted. Bumblebee didn't act like a bad guy and what he said contradicted what Megatron said.
"I'm sorry but I can't. But I can keep you company." She offered with a smile. She walked more into the light but her face still didn't reveal. But Bumblebee could see the sincere smile on her face.
He looked disappointed, understanding, and glad. No way it would be that easy to get her to believe him but as long as he was here, he could keep trying.
"I'll try to get Starscream to be a little more loose on you. Maybe get you more comfortable" Raina said glancing at Bumblebee's situation. He nodded his head pleadingly. She ran off, leaving him to plan an escape.
He was going to have to use her, which guilted him already. But he needed to get out, besides, he would see her again if she's with them. Right?
She returned a few mins later with a two Vehicons. He tensed up as they undid his restraints, making him fall to the ground. They put new ones on, so his hands were in front of him. They left him and Raina who was beaming at their kindness.
"Thank you Gary and Larry!" She shouted as the two left. Bumblebee looked at her, then at the drones. They had names? Human names?
"Feeling better?" She asked, cautiously walking up to him. He nodded his head, grateful he wasn't dangling anymore. Raina crept up to him more, like he was a wild animal.
Eventually, she reached him and placed a hand on his forearm and looked up. He gave off a smile, somehow. Showing he wasn't going to hurt her. The two talked like they were friends for the longest time, while Raina kept her face hidden still.
Bumblebee decided to try his plan, a couple of hours later.
::Hey, do you think I could go to the deck? I want to stretch my legs:: Bumblebee asked hopefully. Raina gave him a suspicious look but understood how cramping it could be. Plus he couldn't fly so escaping wasn't an issue. She nodded and left the guilt ridden Bee behind.
She returned with Gary and Larry again, who were going to escort him. They walked down the halls until they finally reached the deck.
Bumblebee could feel the block on his comms open up. He readied himself, looking down at Raina.
::Sorry:: he beeped before taking Gary and Larry our with a swift kick and punch. Raina looked panic as Bumblebee managed to break the restraints off. Then he commed his base and a groundbridge opened up second later.
Raina looked at Bumblebee who was trying to apologize through his optics. The wind blew Raina's hoodie off, her cyan eyes meeting Bumblebees blue optics.
His optics widened, the eyes seeming so familiar. Her eyes only teared up, because of his betrayal and using her. She ran away from him and inside the Nemesis. Bumblebe was about to run after her but he felt a bigger servo on his shoulder. He looked up to Optimus who clearly didn't see what just happened.
"Bumblebee, come on! Let's go before the cons realize your gone!" Arcee shouted at the scout. He looked resistant but knew he could explain things at base. Optimus, Arcee, and Bumblebee ran through the groundbridge and back into base.
Raina on the other hand, ran down the halls. She felt so horrible now. She trusted him, only for him to further prove Autobots were horrible. She eventually ran into Knockout who was surprised by her.
"I'm a big mech. How did you not notice me?" He asked, truly curious. But instead of an answer, he felt Raina cling on to him, crying.
"Hey hey, what's wrong." He asked bending down to her level. She looked up and gripped his servo. He picked her up and headed to his med bay. When he entered, he tried to place her down. But she was stuck like a piece of gum.
"Raina, how am I supposed to know what's wrong if you don't let go?" He asked annoyed. Raina finally let go after that and curled up, stopping her crying. Knockout sighed as he lifted Raina's head up.
"What's the matter?" He asked. "Bumblebee used me to escape. You guys were right. I should have trusted you." She let out weakly. She sniffed, wiping the tears away.
"Bumblebee escaped? And he used you!" Knockout asked angrily. Turns out he actually cared for Raina. He was upset that Bumblebee, of all mechs, used Raina.
She nodded her head as Knockout began to angrily pace back and forth. Breakdown entered at that point and was confused by the scene.
"Uh what did I miss?" He asked. Knockout and Raina looked at him. Raina has red puffy eyes while Knockout had angry eyes. Breakdown stared at the two, wondering if he should worry about them or himself.
(~In the Autobot Base~)
"What do you mean there was a human?!" Ratchet asked Bumblebee as he scanned him.
::There was a human girl with the Decepticons! What more do I have to say? I think I might of upset her. If she didn't think we were bad before, she certainly does now:: Bumblebee gloomed sadly.
"What did she look like?" Arcee asked Bee.
::She definitely looked young, maybe a child? She had black hair with coloured strands. Cyan eyes and she was a girl for sure:: Bumblebee reported. Every looked at each other, unsure.
::I know right? Unbelievable the Decepticons have a human!:: Bumblebee chirped amused.
"If the Decepticons have a human, we must be more wary of our surroundings while in Jasper." Optimus announced to his team who nodded in agreement.
"Optimus, I can't be the only one who thought of someone when Bumblebee explained the appearance" Ratchet said quietly to his leader. Everyone went to doing their own things as the two were left alone.
"I know Ratchet but many humans look alike. We mustn't get our hopes up that quickly." Optimus explained.
"Yes but what are the chances a human like that would have connections to the Decepticons." Ratchet pointed out to Optimus. He thought about it, agreeing with Ratchet on that point.
"We will keep an eye out for her, just in case. Alright old friend?" Optimus reassured Ratchet. He looked at Optimus' calming optics, before going back to his work.
"Bumblebee, is there anything you learned while upon the Nemesis?" Optimus asked, walking up to the scout.
::Megatron is gone and Vehicons have names:: He reported. Arcee, Bulkhead, and Cliffjumper laughed at the last part.
"Wait wait wait. Vehicons have names?" Cliffjumper asked. ::Yeah! Human names! Two of them were Gary and Larry:: Bumblebee further explained.
"Autobots, I don't see how it's amusing Decepticons have names." Optimus said arching an optic ridge.
"You also said Megsy was gone. Right?" Bulkhead mentioned. Bumblebee nodded.
"Well if big bad bot is gone, I vote Riley comes back!" Bulkhead shouted, raising his hand up.
"Me too." "Same here" ::Agreed!:: Arcee, Cliffjumper, and Bumblebee piped in.
"We shall see, for now, let's just monitor Decepticon activity" Optimus said slightly amused. Everyone agreed sadly but excited that it could possibly happen.
(~Back At Raina's Home~)
"Raina, what's got ya so down?" Lawerence asked as Raina made her way to her room.
"Nothing!" Raina said, mustering up a smile. Collette barked happily at Raina, following her to her room.
That night, Raina looked out her window, repeating her Cybertronian. Collette laid still on her bed as Raina thought over what Starscream would think. It was her fault Bumblebee escaped. It was her fault she got so close to him when she knew Autobots were horrible.
*I am Raina, I am 12 years old. I live in Jasper Nevada with my family* Raina repeated over and over in the language. She got up and left her room to go outside. She went towards the newly finished treehouse and climbed up.
Once inside, she opened up a floor board and took out a box. She opened it up and revealed the blue crystal with its black string. Taking it out, she observed the writing on the back and translated it. She held it close to her, almost feeling some sort of energy radiating from it.
Raina suddenly looked at it again. How could it feel like that? It felt alive and like a source of energy. Too freaked out, Raina put it back in the box and under the floor boards. Then she left the treehouse and laid down in the ground. Looking up at the stars that glittered in the night.
She put her hands on her chest, relaxing her whole body. That's when she felt the metal spot on her skin. Her PJs were baggy pants and a tank top. But she could feel the metal not through the fabric, but above it.
She got up and looked down, seeing the metal had grown. She ran inside and into the bathroom. Her suspicions correct. The metal grew a bit more, now past her tank top. She pulled the shirt down and saw it grew in every direction.
"Great, now it's worse. Because of the...crystal..." Raina realized slowly. She wasn't sure whether or not to tell the cons but for now, it was her secret. They didn't know about the crystal so they better not know about the metal growing.
But they told her Knockout did it. Is there more lies? She thought they admitted the truth about everything but there were more lies. Raina went to bed that night, deciding whether to confront them or just stay silent and build up a better case. Maybe she should wait till Megatron returned but who knew how long he would be gone.
Well now she knew she couldn't get any closer to anyone or else. They would try to convince her and put more lies in her head. She still trusted them and loved them as her friends but now it all felt different.
