Hanahaki AU. Kagome wakes up with petals in her throat. At first, she believes it to be for Inuyasha, but what she found out was that her heart had moved on a long time ago. When she realizes who these flowers are for, she doesn't know how to deal with it. Will she die at the mercy of Naraku or the flowers growing in her lungs? Her life just got way more complicated. "We love each other; I don't doubt that, but it will always stay platonic. Perhaps if we really tried…" Kagome trailed off before shaking her head and continuing, "But whatever the case, it isn't him."

"Wow, that's a big step, Kags. I'm proud of you." Sango congratulated. "Well, if it's not Inuyasha then who is it?"

"I don't know."

A beat of silence passed.

"You what?"

"I don't know who it is. It's rare, but there are times when a person isn't aware that they are in love, but since they feel unworthy, the seeds of the disease still are sown."
