Chapter 10-3: Facing your Fear

One month pass since Aqua lived inside the Great Valley but despite everything he did to remember anything from his past nothing has return to him yet, Aqua quickly realize that he wasn't like the other Swimmer because he can't swim, every time he got to close to a large body of water he sense fear for it but didn't know why.

Ducky tried to teach him of course but he never improve despite all the attempts he did, at the last one he ask her to stop since it was useless and she accept regretfully.

When Ducky wasn't playing with her friends or fighting monsters that came inside the valley from time to time, she was always with him trying to help him recover his memories which he was grateful for.

With no surprise he begins to have feelings for her, every time she smiles, every time she look at him, every time she play with him, her kindness toward the other and of course her famous yep! yep! yep!

These feelings are new to him but they always made him happy when she is near him.

Today Aqua was with Ducky at her family's pond, he was at the shore of the pond and he watches her swim inside the water, he saw her so graceful against it like two pieces matching each other which make him smile.

All her family has decided to go at the Thundering Falls for the kids to play with other dinosaurs while her parents would talk with the other grow-up but Ducky instead of following her parents decide to stay with Aqua to show him everything she learned to do in the water.

Ducky: "This one is one of the more difficult ones! You need to hold your breath for a long time to be able to grab the underwater green food, I will bring you some for you to eat them!"

Ducky dives underwater while holding her breath, she swims until she reach the underwater green food an begins to grab a couple with her hands but while she does that one underwater green food near a cliff rolls up around her left leg but she didn't notice it and begins to swim, however because of the force she apply to the underwater green food around her left leg a large portion of the begins to crumble and fall when she come back to the surface.

When she gets her head out of the water Ducky feel a big weight on her left leg, she of course tried to get rid of it but since she only came back from underwater for one second she don't have enough strength left and begins to sink back, however she is able to speak toward Aqua and said before sinking back.

Ducky: "Help me Aqua!"

When Aqua heard and see that he begins to try to think a way to help her but every dinosaur near here can't swim like him and all the one that can are at Thundering Falls, all seems to be last moment for Ducky.

Aqua back when he have his memories was the kind of guy who thinks before acting, Aqua was smarter than everyone in the town where he lived so he decide to learn magic to help people in need before he met Light and join him, he has never act before thinking except when he tried to block the spell with his body along with his two other friends, right now Aqua need to do that again or else Ducky is done for.

Suddenly Aqua's body begins to move on his own, only one thing mater right now: saving Ducky's live, he dives into the pond, swim toward her and untie her left leg in seconds, he then grab around her back with his left hand and with enough strength to hold her while he used his legs and his right hand to swim back to the surface of the water.

Ducky saw Aqua's dive and swimming toward her before she falls unconscious because of the lack of air in her lungs.

Aqua gets his head out of the water while holding Ducky's head out the water and swims back to the shore, he comes out of the pond and starts to take her out of the pond until she is on the shore of the pond, he then laid her on her back and put both hands bellow her chest where the lungs are and begins to make back and forth movements with them, he does that for two minutes before she spits the water out of her lungs and start breathing slowly again before opening her eyes again.

The sight in front of her was Aqua dripping wet with his beautiful blue eyes, Ducky can see in them the emptiness but also his worry for almost loosing her slowly leaves to be replaced by his relief for rescuing her life, she then heard him said while he takes her left hand with both of his hands.

Aqua: "Oh thank goodness you're alive!"

In an instant Ducky remembers seeing Aqua dives for her and swims toward her and said to him.

Ducky: "Aqua do you realize what you did?"

Aqua: "I save your life"

Ducky "Yes but you also swim perfectly!"

Aqua couldn't believe what Ducky said but everything he did then register in his mind, it was like his mind said to him "you did that yourself Aqua", when he realize that he said to her.

Aqua: "You're right… I did it! I guess it's because I just act without thinking about it!"

Ducky: "I'm so glad that you can swim now!"

Aqua: "You think I can?"

Ducky: "There's only one way to find out! Come with me we're going to enter the pond slowly just in case"

Ducky held Aqua's hands with her own and enter the pond slowly first with Aqua behind, at first Aqua is a little frightened when his feets don't touch the bottom of the pond anymore but to his surprise his feets are synchronize and move with enough force to stay afloat with the water passing his shoulders, when they are in the middle of the pond Ducky said while still holding with him.

Ducky: "See? You can swim with your feets alone!"

Aqua: "I can't believe this! I swim! I swim!"

Ducky: "I'm glad for you Aqua!"

Aqua: "I couldn't have done it without you! Thank you Ducky!"

Suddenly Ducky to blush like she has never blushes before and said to him.

Ducky: "Th-thank you for s-saving my life A-Aqua!"

Aqua: "Huh… you alright Ducky? You're red all the sudden and you're stuttering!"

Ducky couldn't believe herself, the strange feeling she fells from Aqua has grown a little for a month but with what he did for her make it only larger, then hit her like a skyfire, the feeling for Aqua she felled a month ago was love, it wasn't like her mother felled it but with that in mind she said to him.

Ducky: "A-Aqua when I he-heard your voi-voice and saw your e-eyes for the first ti-time I got a fee-feeling so-somewhere inside me and with wh-what you did to-today I rea-realized it was lo-love!"

Aqua: "Du-Ducky you-you're se-serious about wh-what you s-said?"

Ducky: "Yes I- I'm su-sure it is!"

Aqua: "Th-that's nice be-because I feel the sa-same toward y-you!"

Ducky: "I do-don't care wh-where you co-come from! I want y-you to be my boy- boyfriend!"

Aqua: "I-I gladly ac-accept Ducky!"

Ducky then leans toward Aqua and kiss him for a minute to show him that's a true kiss, when she finish she let a call with her crest which Aqua heard and said to her.

Aqua: "What was that beautiful sound?"

Ducky: "It was me Aqua! It's what female Swimmer of my kind does to make the other one knows they found their boyfriend!"

The rest of the day pass normally for everyone inside the valley until the day is over.

Great love story for Ducky & Aqua better than Twilight anyway =)

Next time on the Land Before Time : Journey to save The Great Valley one month pass after Ducky got a boyfriend, one mysterious male Fast Runner fell from the sky unconscious and fall inside a fast river in the Mysterious Beyond, the current takes him away for a long time until he regains consciousness and reach the shore, he doesn't recognize his body anymore when he look at his refection inside a pond near the river, he meet Rooter and ask him if he knows someone of his current kind because he believe there are the key for him to return in his world and fortunately enough Rooter point him the direction to Hanging Rock: Ruby's old home, as if fate was directly involved Ruby escort her family to her old home because her father Ovi forgot an object from his childhood days the fist time he came with his family the first time they came here to be safe from the monsters.
