I loved a good fight. No, I lived for a good fight. The fear of knowing I could die in a single hit made defeating my opponents all the more thrilling. But there wasn't anyone I knew I couldn't beat up easily, and I was now looking for more. Looking for a place where I could fight to my heart's content. A place where I could feel alive.

18. Chapter 17

News of my fight with Pyrrha spread faster than news of my condition had.

Funnily enough, the only group still willing to bully me was the one that had gotten a front view of the event, team CRDL.

Or maybe they were the only bullies in the school ? Beacon did have an unusual amount of expulsions, dropouts and repeats in the first year, maybe even worst than medical schools.

Anyways, no matter how sceptical higher year students were of the tales surrounding my fight against Pyrrha, there were now far less people complaining about my presence.

Which is why I had felt that me and Pyrrha being called at that time was awfully convenient.

I had gone sufficiently under team CRDL's skin for them to still go after me. From what the rest of my team could gather I was almost the only target of their ire now.

Which was the whole point of pissing them off after all.

I said almost though, because for some unknown reason Jaune had started to hang out with them and got pushed around a lot.

I mean, come on, after all that effort I went through to get him out of their clutches he still went back willingly?

Officially it wasn't just for him, sure, but if team RWBY and the rest of JNPR hadn't wanted to deal with CRDL so bad I wouldn't have done a thing.

I wouldn't even be able to make them suffer properly after all. Truly a waste of time.

Thanksfully though, after a trip to Forever Fall team CRDL somehow gave up their bullying completly.

Weird.

And Jaune stopped hanging out with them. Something about a change of heart.

I knew Ruby and Weiss knew why, but they wouldn't tell us.

Heh, I didn't care enough to pry.

We were, however, going to Vale this week-end. Weiss was very adamant to.

This most certainly had something to do with the recent announcement that we were going to host the teams participating in the next Vytal Tournament.

Tournament I was going to have to sit out.

Going to Beacon was better than I could ask for, but somehow I was still annoyed I couldn't get more.

But again, Ozpin would have needed to answer many unwanted questions if I were to be injuried in the arena.

I was still going to guilt my team into buying me all the ice-cream they could afford once we were in Vale though.

I doubted I would be able to make a dent into all that Schnee money but it wouldn't stop me from trying.
