Sorry for my English.

New chapter is on. To be honest, I don't plan to make this story too long, so I'm thinking in ways to make the chapter to become short when it comes to the plot, meaning that one chapter may lead to another plot twist pretty easy, but not in way that will be obvious.

It was never planned to be big, but it is getting a nice reception from what I can tell considering that I have a fiction based on OCs.

To the fic!

The academy was bigger than he thought.

Luke went there in the morning and was already noon, and he found no signs of his brother. Every time he asked about a tiger faunus with blue and green eyes, he was eyed in a strange way, and he could tell that they did not want to talk about Elihas.

-What the hell Catboy did this time? -He asked.

As Luke keep walking around the courtyard, a thought suddenly popped in his mind.

Elihas was a faunus, so another faunus maybe would have to know about him. It was a worthy shot, except that the results were the same. Whatever faunus he tried to ask about Elihas or just eyed him strangely or did not want to talk about it.

Until he finally found a brunette girl with rabbit ears.

-Excuse me. -Velvet heard someone call and she turns around to see who is calling for her, a man with very old clothes and smelling bad. -Did you happen to know where I can find a guy with a blue and green eye and a tiger tail?

The question took Velvet by surprise. Someone was looking for Elihas?

-Did... did you need something from Elihas?

His eyes widened when he heard her question. More specifically, the name.

-So you know him. -He stated. -My name is Luke Darkwood, and I come here looking for my brother.

Once again Velvet was caught by surprise.

This man was Elihas' brother?

-You... did not answer my question, sir. -Velvet said.

-What? -Luke began. -Someone can't come to this academy to visit his sibling?

No, but never she saw someone visiting a familiar with such old clothes and smelling like they just came from a trash can.

-I suppose. -Velvet said.

She did not have any reasons to deny his request, and was his brother, right? Yet, she knew that could be better to keep her mouth shut about Elihas' whereabouts.

-Nice. Now, where he is? -Luke asked.

-I... did not see him today.

-But you know him, right?

-Y-yes, I do.

-So where he usually likes to waste time?

-He... usually likes to... sleep in the courtyard.

-We are in the courtyard, but he is nowhere in my line of sight. -Luke stated, eyeing around. Then he notices something on Velvet's face. -Something's wrong?

-Why do you ask?

-Because I felt that you know where my brother is, but not want to tell me.

How could she?

Elihas' brother was right there in front of her, and she remembers about the nickname he used to call the tiger boy. Velvet knew that the moment the words cat and boy spoke one after another, things would get ugly.

It was Luke who gave the nickname Catboy to Elihas, and she was afraid of what would happen if she allowed Luke to meet with his brother.

-Fine, don't need to tell me. -Luke said and turned away. -Thanks for nothing.

And he walked away.

For some reason, Velvet felt that something really wrong was about to happen.

If had a chance to Kelpie escape this situation, Elihas would cut out his own tail.

Without his mother noticing, he was watching from upstairs the cloth covering his sister's body.

Now lifeless.

A huntsman and police were talking to his parents, with Star looking like she just cried a whole lake while Kelpie looked like had nothing to worry about.

-We don't care about how much you did to this town. -The officer stated. -This is enough to not only make you lost your license but also put you behind the bars for a long time.

Kelpie kept silent for a couple of seconds before began his explanation about why did he cut the neck of his "daughter".

-She found her late father shotgun and tried to use it against me. -He said pointing to the Winchester shotgun on the ground with a white circle around it. -She makes some ridiculous demands and threatened to shot if I not comply.

-What demands? -The officer asked.

-The usual teenager stupidity. Come back home late, a bunch of clothes she will only use once, go out with brainless boys, those things.

The only reason Star was quiet about his statement is because he was telling the truth. Fairy just took her late father's shotgun and aimed to Kelpie, making those ridiculous demands.

-We tried to... reason with her, but... she... but she...-Star tried to speak, but could nearly not find her voice.

Not after her daughter just died by the weapon of her husband.

-We understand Ms. Darkwood. -The officer spoke. -Sit and calm down, please.

Star just did that, all while Kelpie shows no worry to the mental state of his wife, or worry about what he just did. He thought it was Fairy's fault to try to challenge him, not knowing her place in his house as his daughter.

After a couple of minutes looking around the scene, the huntsman comes to a conclusion.

-It seems we have a case of self-defense here.

No.

-Kelpie did not have a choice.

No!

-And she was the one to blame.

NO!

-Alright. -The huntsman spoke. -I guess it is settled, but don't try anything stupid.

-Who do you think you are talking to? -Kelpie asked.

-Someone who soon will get what he deserves. -There's no way to hide the venom in the huntsman's voice. -But for now, we must take you to the presinct for some questioning.

-Fine, let's get over with it. -Kelpie spoke.

As they left, Elihas could not believe that his father was just going escape from this crime, all because Fairy, his stupid sister, decides to take her father's weapon and point to his father, automatically making her the aggressor in this story.

Elihas knew about those laws and knew that it could do nothing unless Kelpie really does something considered a crime, the tone in the huntsman voice also told him that he wanted to arrest Kelpie on the spot.

And the only one who can do that was his mother, but there were rules he should follow, even if means let a man like Kelpie free.

This will have to wait because for now, Elihas need something that can cut.

Elihas did not remember how it began, he just knows that he loves to take naps during the day.

Of course, due to his intimidating aura, not the one protecting his body, it was easy for him to sleep in peace since everyone just avoided the sleeping beast as they call.

Except for that day.

The tiger faunus felt someone poke his belly at least five times before finally open his eyes and see the one he thought would never see again in his life.

-Hello! Little Bro! -Luke screamed.

-Luke? -Elihas asked.

For a couple of seconds, the tiger faunus just look to his older brother, who he not sees make five years, and took the first action he could think.

-Ugh! -He punched his brother's face, sending him face-first on the ground. -What the hell?!

-Sorry, it just that you have such a punchable face. -Elihas answered rubbing his fist. -Anyway, what on Remnant you are doing here? Don't tell me you are trying to fail the test again?

-Take deep breathes, Luke. -He thought. -What? Can't I see how my little brother is going?

-No. -Elihas blatantly answered as he stood.

Damn, it was hard to look at Elihas like that. Luke was used to looking down at him, not eye to eye. He sure grew up.

-Oh c'mon! We are family after all.

-Funny. Last time I saw you was when you said "I don't need anyone! You all can go to hell!". Now, this is not something family would say, is it?

-Okay, I may have said a lot, but I really want to follow my father's footsteps.

-You already failed so miserably that he would die again with disappointment if he was not already dead.

-That's why I need help.

-What kind of help? Besides a bath, I mean.

There's no way Luke could hide his gritting teeth from his brother, but Luke took deep breathes before ask.

-I was hoping if you could have a little word with the headmaster to see if he can give me a chance to...

-After failing five times? Give me a break! -Elihas answered before Luke could finish and laid back on the bench.

-Do you really not want to help someone who knows you so well?

-Why do I feel that you have more to say? -Elihas asked looking back at his brother.

-Well, someone may happen to tell everyone of the academy about a certain faunus who murdered someone, you know?

-Do you remember what happened last time you tried to blackmail someone?

-I know, but he's gone. -Luke answered. -Buried ten feet below the ground to never bother anyone with his "Everything belongs to me" attitude.

-And you will be the next if don't stop bothering me. -Elihas said glaring at Luke's eyes.

The older sibling would be lying if he had said that was not scared by the look the tiger faunus was giving him. Yet, he knew the truth about his father's demise, and it was something he could use against his brother.

-And what will happen when they question you about my supposed demise? -Luke asked. -What will happen with your future as a huntsman?

-I will say that the moron who I killed was bothering me. -Elihas answered. -And my future as a huntsman will meet its inevitable end.

-Do you even care that you may not become a huntsman?

-My father was a huntsman, and he did not show me anything good about being one. So if you want to follow the path of someone who takes advantage of the weaklings who can't do anything for themselves and need a douche to help them, be my guest. Just don't drag me with you to the pitiful hole where you will crawl all four for a chance that you already lost five times in a roll!

As Elihas spoke, his voice reached a greater tone, calling the attention of everyone around, or would if they were not paying attention already. A man just approached Elihas and start to talk with him, this was enough to catch their attention and start to gossip about it.

Luke knew that he could not convince his brother to help him, but he was not ready to give up just yet.

-I see you later. -Luke spoke in a low tone.

-Later will not be enough. -Was all Elihas said before went back to take a nap.

Soon, his encounter with his brother would reach the ears of his friends.

End of the chapter.

If someone was already expecting something, I'm sorry to disappoint.

The point of the flashback is the well-know tale of what is right and wrong. Something that I thought about thinking about the Maiden plot from Volule 3, what you did was right but can be wrong, or what you did was wrong but can be right. Those plots are complicate and can be bad if not done right, so I'm hoping to be doing well, at least.

Of course this will not be the end of Luke like mentioned before and Elihas will have to deal with the fact his brother my spoil the beans about his past. If he will care about it or not, will depend of him. And of course, what his friends will think about it?

That's all folks, see you next time.
