Heyo people! Guess who has to write a one shot as a coping mechanism after watching SIXTEEN long, boring (Not so instructional) instructional videos on how to set up online school? Couldn't be me…. Anyways, here's a one shot with Anakin and Ahsoka! Hope you enjoy! :) P.S. Thank you guys so much for 100 reviews! You guys are so nice and I LOVE reading what you have to say about my stories! :)))))

Ahsoka rubbed her tired eyes. She had been staring at the computer kiosk for way too long now to finish work for her classes, and the words were starting to blur together. She let out a frustrated groan. She wanted to just log off and do something- anything other than this. No, she wanted to throw the computer at the wall! (Of course, Madame Jacusta wouldn't be too happy with her if she did such a thing since she had borrowed it from the temple library).

"Just a few more chapters." She whispered to herself. "Just a few more and you can go to sleep." Just a few more seemed like torture. She didn't really give a flying kark about galactic history anyway, and it didn't help that she had just gotten home from one of the most terrifying missions she had ever been on. Everytime she closed her eyes she could see the dead bodies… she shut the thought out completely. Better to throw herself into her studies than start thinking about everything that had happened.

"Doing alright, Snips?" Anakin asked from the other side of the room.

"Just splendid." She replied sarcastically. She looked up to see him looking at her with eyebrows, and a concerned frown. "Yeah, I can sense how 'splendid' you're feeling."

She rolled her eyes playfully, all the while still putting up her mental shields. "C'mon, don't look at me like I grew an extra head, Skyguy." She tried to make her voice playful too, but it just came out tired. "I'm fine. Just a little frustrated that I have to finish-" she paused and checked her progress on the kiosk. "Another three chapters and worksheets of this crap."

Anakin closed the ship manual he was reading. How did he not know she was falling behind in her classes? More importantly, he could feel her stress practically radiating off of her. "You can take a break, Snips."

"I have too much to get done and it's due tomorrow morning! If I turn it in late, I'll get less credit and more work to do. So no. No, I actually can't take a kriffing break!" She snapped, bringing her attention back to the computer screen. The words were starting to blur again, but this time it was because of the tears that were pooling up in her eyes. No. No. She couldn't cry. Not now when she was right in front of her master. Why was this so hard?

"Ahsoka." He said in a firm yet gentle tone. "You just went through a lot out on the field yesterday,"

She thought back to it all. The bloody, lifeless bodies of her friends piled at her feet. She had wanted to fall to her knees and cry for every one of them, but she had to push on. She had to because there was blaster fire all around her and one could not simply collapse when their life was in such danger. She remembered running through the battlefield, panicking as she heard screams all around her. There were so many screams.

There was a sudden tightness in her throat and chest that only got worse when she tried to choke down tears. "Don't cry." she thought to herself. "Please, please don't." Why was she so weak?

"No one expects you to be okay right now." Anakin said.

Ahsoka let out a quick, shuddering breath before she lost the battle to her own tears. They ran down her cheeks, making the text on her kiosk now completely unreadable. Anakin was at her side in an instant.

He put a hand on each of her trembling shoulders. "Hey, it's okay. Look at me." He whispered. When her eyes stayed cast down towards her computer, he every so gently grasped her chin and moved her face up to look at his. Her eyes were already red from crying.

"I don't care how much work you don't get done." He said, keeping his voice quiet and even for her to easily understand in her distressed state.

"And my t-teachers?" She cried.

"Kriff what they think!" That was not something that a normal master was supposed to say to his student, but Anakin didn't care. When had he ever been normal? She looked utterly confused now.

"Snips, those Jedi are instructors, not soldiers. They've never had to experience half of what you just did."

He took his hand off her chin and back down to her shoulder. "Go in tomorrow and tell them you need an extended due date, and if they won't let you, they'll have to talk to me." He gave her a smile. "I'm a very scary person when I have to be."

She let out a small laugh through her tears. "Please," she said weakly. "You scream bloody m-murder at the s-sight of a s-spider."

"There's my Snippy Padawan I know and love." He joked, giving her shoulders a small affectionate squeeze. "Now." He said. "It's getting late and you need your rest."

She recognized the fatherly tone in his words and smiled, wiping her teary eyes with the back of her hand. "Okay, Master."

He let her save her work and log off of the kiosk before he took it off her bed and set it down on the floor. "You're a smart kid." He said as he grabbed her pillow. "What are you doing?" She asked. He didn't answer, so she just watched him. He fluffed it up for her before putting it back to its spot at the head of her bed. "That's better. You can lay down now."

Ahsoka nodded and let herself collapse onto her bed. After sitting up for so long it felt so good to lay down and stretch out her aching back. While she was laid down, Anakin pulled her blanket up so that it was tucked right under her chin. "Thanks, Master."

They both knew she was thanking him for more than just tucking her in, but they didn't feel the need to verbally acknowledge it. "You're welcome." Anakin murmured instead, giving her a small kiss on her forehead. There were still some tears on her cheeks, so Anakin wiped them away before standing up and turning off the light. "Tell me if you need anything, okay?"

"Okay."

This chapter may be a little shorter than my normal ones, but it's one of my favorites I've written. I do have years of experience in prison- oh sorry I mean school- to write from, so it came pretty easy to me. I hope you're all doing well and you enjoyed this. Love you lots! :)
