J'onn and Alex were discussing some business regarding someone Alex built new ties to. A preparation involving Maggie, whom Alex kissed when a circumstance led them to express their feelings for each other. They both were working from morning to night, keeping an eye on city grounds. Which gave Alex the opportunity to speak to her boss, and a good friend.
J'onn was the only one Alex trusted as a family. Always there when she needed him.
"So you and Maggie are in love?", J'onn questioned, fatherly. "And you want me to be a godfather to the both of you?".
Alex nodded, folding him into wearing his involvement in their future marriage. Before anymore was lowered in, a whoosh of air alerted the both.
Supergirl and Oliver by the balcony, which alerted the agents, whom soon stayed calm as Kara was with him.
"Kara?!", Alex exclaimed, seeing her current state, at the same time holding Oliver. "What happened?", she asked, after running to her, with J'onn pacing the same.
"We got attacked from an old foe of Superman", Oliver claimed. Shocking J'onn and Alex. Superman has many rogue gallery of enemies. Each possessing powers that could possibly kill a Kryptonian.
"Who?", Alex questioned. "Reactron. One of Luthor's henchmen. Possibly Mongul".
Kara recomposing herself, breathing heavily. Concerning Alex and J'onn more. She seconds raised herself up, facing them both.
"It's Darkseid. He's back", Supergirl divulged, shocking Alex and J'onn. Like the air just evaporated, causing them to lose their breath.
"It can't be", J'onn proclaimed. "He was killed last year by Superman".
"It's my fault J'onn!", she cried. Making J'onn and Alex realise they have to take her to a quiet room. As they don't want Kara's cries to raise everyone's awareness.
J'onn ushered his friends to settle in the room he directed them all to be in. Oliver remembered being in this room when he had to explain his story to J'onn and Alex. As J'onn closed the doors behind him, he walks over Kara's point.
Supergirl is in the brink of full-pain. She chose sitting in the seat. The latter was comforted by Alex, who motions her to take a breath, which Kara tried complying.
Winn soon came, intent to accompany by his friend's side.
"Tell us what happened?", J'onn respectfully requested, eyeing on Oliver, and briefly on Kara.
Oliver explained his recent surprise attack. How he was trapped under Darkseid's pressure. And Supergirl arriving in time to save him, no longer than getting trapped under Darkseid's invincible grip. Which wasn't so strong. She tried breaking up with him, but his last attack was going to end her in quick process. Only to have it halt by Oliver, who shot a flash arrow on his eyes, blinding Darkseid, in which Kara sent a red line to her foe's head. Long enough for the both to escape.
Kara believed it was all her fault, which confused her friends. She said that using the powers of a Kryptonian tech to manipulate the timeline altered some effect to revive their worst enemy. Or at least played a part to raring the chance.
"Kara calm down", Alex shutted her, comfortably. "It's not your fault. You didn't know. Don't just pin the allegations on yourself".
"It is my fault, Alex", she blamed herself. "It took all the ounce my cousin had to take him down", she pointed out. Alex, J'onn and Oliver felt sympathy for her. "That time. Darkseid was at his weakest point. Now he's risen".
"But not at full strength. Not even close to a fraction", J'onn pointed out.
"Doesn't this put into a coincidence?", Winn questioned, to Kara, as she stared up to him, confused. "Barry, he messed up his timeline. And you did yours". Kara noted, still not finding the point out of it. Oliver told Winn before, after coming back from his world, to run some research on post-flashpoint effects that could've affected other worlds. "It is precarious, considering you two majored a separate event. You operating to create a timeline. Barry takes in speed force to create flashpoint, then recovering it back, with minor changes. They might have caused some boundary to crush into one another".
"We can't be too sure, Winn", said J'onn. "But a theory like that could be true. Let's not conclude it though. Until further notice". J'onn lowers his head to eye-level with Kara. "Don't blame yourself for what you never known. You made a mistake that's it". He was already known of Kara, what steered her to picking this route, without learning the aftereffects.
Kara looks up to J'onn under the showcase of pained puppy-eyes, thinking if she can ever forgive herself.
"Like Barry, Kara", said Oliver, getting Kara's attention. "You didn't know so don't beat yourself up".
Kara hedged to stand, confronting her boyfriend in the eye.
"You don't know that!", she yelled. The latter briefed everyone that was in the same room as her. "None of you will!". Kara marched out the room, tanked with incorrigible emotions.
Oliver was bout to leave, until he was wavered by J'onn.
"Give her some space", J'onn advised. "We don't know how she is feeling. And if we attempt to make some unintent heist-cause, chances will be overwhelming".
"You think leaving her all alone would give her the benefit?!", Oliver shot.
"No!", J'onn exposed. "As much as I hate to admit it, she has to sort problem out herself". He sharply aligns with his friends. "The world needs Supergirl, we need Kara patch her senses back, and to not be distracted by her own emotions", he confessed, suggesting the Girl of Steel needs to take a break. As he cares about her like a daughter.
Winn, admitting, agreed. Though Oliver and Alex didn't sink their teeth in.
