"Are you sure you don't mind," Lara asked Kim and Chris.
"Lara we love Hao," Chris said, "She's like family. Of course we don't mind having her come on the trip."
Lara smiled gratefully.
"She'll love it," Lara said, "and by the way Tam feels like family to us."
Kim grinned.
"I'm so glad about that," she said.
Lara looked at the clock.
"Well," she said, "their movie is over. It's time for us to go home. Come on Hao."
"Okay mommy," Hao said hugging Tam goodbye.
"When are we gonna have dinner," Tam asked, "I'm hungry."
"In a minute," Chris said smiling, "Grilled cheese and Fries"
"What's grilled cheese," Tam asked curiously.
"You'll love it," Chris said, "It's delicious."
He made the grilled cheese and fries and brought it over to Tam. Kim and Chris sat with Tam eating and talking."
"This is really good," Tam said grinning.
"I knew you would like it," Chris said.
"Can I have one more," Tam asked.
"Of course," Chris said.
He made him another grilled cheese sandwich. Tam ate it and then handed his plate to Chris so that he could clean up.
"So," Kim said to Tam, "Are you tired?"
Tam nodded. He was a little tired. Kim carried him into his bedroom and tucked him in elevating his ankle on 3 pillows. She kissed him good night and went into the kitchen to help Chris clean.
"Hi honey," she said.
Chris put his arms around her.
"You know," he said, "I never thought I would be so lucky as to find you again. I should have trusted that GOD would bring us together."
"You're not the only one that should have known better," Kim said, "I mean I tried to kill myself for Tam's sake."
"Yes," Chris said, "to give him a better life."
