Day of the Doctor (PART 3)
The door swung open and Donna entered the room.
The Doctors gaped at her.
"How did you do that?" Eleven asked her surprised.
"Donna?" Ten spoke.
"I missed you spaceman," Donna said hugging Ten before turning to Eleven, "It wasn't locked."
He nodded, before quietly asking her "Where is Rose?"
Donna inclined her head to the door, "Outside," She said quietly. "So this one is you as well as yeah?" Gesturing towards the War Doctor.
"Yeah. Introduce self. Don't let them follow me ok," Eleven walked out of the room to find Rose, with Jacob in her arms, waiting just outside. He hugged both of them, "I'm pretty angry right now, Rose. You know you shouldn't be here. You should be safe in the Tardis with our son."
"I know," Rose said into his chest, "But I didn't have a choice. We were surrounded by Zygons."
"Zygons?" the Doctor spoke, "Of course that's what got out of the paintings."
Rose gazed at the door, "He's in there isn't he?" He nodded. "What if he sees me and Jacob? He can't find out his own future."
"He won't remember. I didn't, things only come back to me as they happen." Eleven reassured.
Rose breathed. They walked into the room. The Tenth Doctor stood still in utter shock at what was in front of him. Rose Tyler. And a baby. Rose Tyler holding a baby boy in her arms.
"What the hell did you do?!" the Tenth Doctor shouted at his future self.
"Calm down!" Eleven shouted back, "She's my wife and he's my son! Ok!"
"Good heavens!" the War Doctor shouted, "You don't mean to say that I'm that boys father? Please tell me that in the future, I don't go around impregnating human companions."
"She's not human." Eleven replied, "Not anymore. She's a Time Lord."
"Oh." the Tenth Doctor spoke.
"Is that it? Don't I at least get a hug?" Rose asked her husband's prior self.
He hugged her before hesitantly looking down at little Jacob, "What's his name?"
"Jacob," Rose replied as Jacob grabbed his tie.
Donna spoke up, "Sorry to interrupt this moment but shouldn't we escape now?"
"Right, let's go." the Eleventh Doctor replied.
"Rose, there were three Doctors in this room and not one of them thought to try and open it." Donna giggled.
"It should have been locked," the War Doctor said defensively.
"Exactly. Why wasn't it locked?" Eleven questioned.
"Because," Drawled Elizabeth, entering the room, "I was fascinated to see what you would do upon escaping."
DOCTOR WHO
This section of the Tower dungeon was cold. Jacob was wrapped in a blue cotton coat to protect her from the cold. There was an eerie red glow, an odour of unwashed Zygon and loud footsteps that echoed.
At Elizabeth's request, one of the Zygons approached. The Doctor instinctively held his son tightly and moved his wife behind me so she was partly hidden.
"Commander, why are these creatures here?" The Zygon spoke.
"Because I say they should be. It is time you too were translated. Observe this. I believe you will find it fascinating." Queen Elizabeth responded.
The Zygon placed his rubbery hand on the glass cube, vanishing, then reappearing in the painting nearby. The 3D landscape from the Under Gallery.
"The Zygon's in the picture right now," Donna observed.
There was further discussion; the Zygons had waited in the paintings until the world was worth conquering. Also, the Tenth Doctor acted recklessly; insulted the Queen's appearance and smell to prove that she was a Zygon.
"I am the real Elizabeth," She declared softly, "My twin is dead in the forest. I am accustomed to taking precautions." She lifted her skirt to reveal a dagger.
"You killed a Zygon?" Rose asked, staring at the weapon.
"I may have the body of a weak and feeble woman, but at the time so did the Zygon. The future of my kingdom is imperilled. Doctor, can I rely on your service?"
"Well, I'm going to need my Tardis." Ten replied tugging on his earlobe.
"It has been procured already."
"Ah."
"But first, my love, you have a promise to keep."
"Promise?" Ten asked, "I thought she was a Zygon. I didn't think the real Queen Elizabeth would say yes."
"You proposed?" Rose asked, her mouth gaping. "You've got to marry her." She stated, her eyes switching between the current Doctor and his prior self. "That's why her letter addressed you as 'husband' and there's a portrait of you together."
The Tenth Doctor gave Rose an apologetic look before running past Donna and the War Doctor to catch up with Elizabeth.
Eleven attempted to take Rose's left hand but she refused, turning away and holding onto her son. Placing a kiss on his forehead.
"Already married!" the Queen cried in rage.
"Yep," Answered the Tenth Doctor cheerfully.
"Guards! Execute this man!" Queen Elizabeth roared in anger.
"Run!" Ten shouted as they all began running in the opposite direction to his Tardis.
"You've let this pace go a bit." the War Doctor commented as his heavy boot clanked on the ramp.
"Ah, it's his grunge phase. He grows out of it," Eleven replied staring at the worn-out jump seat.
"Oi, spaceman!" Donna said, "This is my favourite!"
Rose sat down on the captain's chair holding her son on her lap. At once Jacob stretched forward grabbing his mother's nose. Rose laughed and the Doctor smiled at the sight of his wife and son. "Bet you're sick of being held," Rose said sympathetically to her son, "But I can't put you down, it's not safe."
"You've been a good boy today, haven't you Jacob." Donna smiled as she sat down next to her Rose.
"Okay," Eleven said clapping his hands together, "Not to imply I didn't enjoy that nice little jog, because I did, however, we might have a bit of a paradox to resolve now boys."
Suddenly, sparks flew from the Tardis console. "The desktop is glitching."
"Three of us from different time zones," Said the War Doctor, "It's trying to compensate."
The walls went dark and white circles in ordinary lines popped out in stark contrast. Eleven grinned widely, "Look, Rose. The round things."
"I love the round things." Rose and Ten exclaimed in unison.
"What are the round things?" Donna asked.
"No idea." the Tenth Doctor answered as they all shared a smile.
BEEP! "Oh dear, the friction contrafibulator," Exclaimed the Doctor. "Ha! There, stabilised."
The console room layout had shifted entirely, settling into the familiar blues and steel grey of Eleven's home Tardis with his wife, daughter and best friend. Everything was right as they left it; Donna's dressing gown hung over the railing and Jacob's portable cot was in the corner along with his toys.
"What do you think?" Eleven prodded his younger selves with his hands buried in his pockets.
"Domestic." Ten answered.
"Yep!"
A/N hope you enjoyed part 3.
