Hi,

Sorry I didn't write yesterday I was busy drawing something for my Instagram account. (it's called the same username as this if you want to have a little look :))

Anyway, R&R thx

Po slowly peeled open his eyes to find himself lying somewhere remarkably warm and soft.

He could see thin, bamboo bars surrounding him and a female panda with a kindly-looking face and a bun was peering down at him lovingly in the cot.

His Mum. And immediately felt his eyes water, without fogging up his vision of the sunlit room.

"You're awake." She whispered softly and picked him up in strong warm arms, picking up a woven panda toy and carrying him and it slowly out of the room.

He had to be back in the past. His past. But how?

"You were asleep for quite a while." She chuckled and stepped into the blinding light of a summer day. She placed him on the top step of a small bamboo patio, and wondered off towards a male panda he recognised as his father.

The village was bursting with light and sound, hundreds of kites were wafting in the breeze as small pandas raced around pulling them by the strings, happy grins etched on their faces.

It was his village before Shen's siege. That much he was clearly sure about but there was one thing he wasn't.

How long was it till Shen attacked, killing hundreds and making many more homeless? Days? Hours? Minutes even?

How was it that everything was so perfect now but in just a moment could change to something so horrible?

Po's eyes had been focused on the bright green blades of grass in front of him as he thought, watching them sway in the breeze. He didn't notice when he began to smell smoke, and hear the flickering of flames and ear-splitting screaming.

Maybe it was because he knew what was about to happen that made it so much worse.

He glanced up and starred at the village once more, grey smoke was circling in the sky where the kites had been, red-hot flames were smoking every hut into gold and the high-pitched shriek of a peacock could be heard.

"Get them all!"

A wolf with razor teeth and sharp, intelligent eyes bounded towards where Po was sitting, he was ready for it, his father to come jumping out of nowhere with a pitch fork. But it didn't come.

Instead the surroundings around him began to change, they melted into meaningless colours, swirled around him so he felt as if he was stuck in the middle of a tornado, and then came to a stop.

He could see a dark forest spiralling past him and hear the rugged breaths of his mother's breathing before it spun away from his vision in an instant.

His mother gave him one last desperate kiss and staggered away from the vegetable box, he watched her jade eyes swim with tears as she backed further and further away into the dark forest.

Po wanted to call out to her, to tell her not to wave her arms and catch the attention of the rabid dogs, but every time he opened his mouth all that emanated from it were gurgling sounds.

Then the colour around him began spinning again and he found himself lying on the floor of the Jade palace courtyard.

Master Oogway had his finger pointed right at his chest, his kind emerald eyes filled with intrigue and knowing. Around him he could hear the chatter of a crowd and the heavy breaths of the Five.

"The universe has brought us the Dragon warrior!" Master Oogway proclaimed proudly, pitching Po's paw up with his staff.

"What?!" He found his mouth move without his brain's co-operation and heard the mimic of the Five's and Master Shifu's voices echo the same.

He was spinning again faster and faster, he saw snippets, catches of his past; Master Oogway chatting to him by the Peach tree of heavenly wisdom, laughing and chatting with the five at the table, sparring Master Shifu to escape the palace.

The snippets were flashing before his eyes, his brain stopped spinning for a moment and he heard Tigress' voice say; "You don't belong here." And the sound of wood slamming as the door shut in his face.

Now all he saw were faster flashes and heard people's voices ring in his head like alarm bells.

"He keeps his almond cookies on the top shelf."

"Him? He's a panda, you're a panda!"

"It's blank!"

The flashes stopped and he watched as Tigress, Monkey, Crane, Viper and Mantis all bowed respectfully towards him. "Master." They chorused.

Before Po even had time to further visualise his surroundings, he was spinning away from them again.

"This could be the end of Kung Fu." Master Shifu stamped his staff in further emphasis, the wind rustling his fur.

Then it all stopped, the flashes stopped and the voices and he came face to face with a cold, slated floor, his paws spread out and his breaths raspy.

"He was there ok! The peacock was there the last time I saw my parents. The hardcore can't understand." The voice echoed from his mouth as if it was a stranger speaking.

"Tigress no!" Viper's delicate, sweet voice.

And he felt something large, with scratched fur catapult towards him. He didn't prepare himself to fight like he did when it actually occurred because this time, he knew what was happening.

"The hardcore do understand." Tigress leant out of the hug and placed her paw on his shoulder, piercing him with her harsh amber stare. "But I can't watch my friend be killed."

Po kept starring at her amber eyes, even when the room began to vanish into more coloured smog and spin. Keeping his eyes focused on where hers had been moments before.

"Kai, nope never heard of him."

"I'm Li Shan. I lost my son."

"Yes! Finally someone who knows who I am! Thank you, might make me actually think about sparing your life."

The smog filtered into green as he felt himself be immobilised by a Jade body, watching Kai's unnatural green eyes flicker in concentration as he urged the jade to further corrupt his body into a mindless being.

Then he relived the warmth of his family and friends in the panda village saving him as he felt each of their golden paws or wings burn a hole in the jade stone, creating a forcefield of Chi and protecting him from harm.

Then the warmth disappeared, and so did Kai. The colours spun faster and faster around him now and began to slowly fade out as did the voices in his head until he jerked awake with a bump on the stone prison floor.

What? What happened?

Then one last conversation filtered into his head. Two voices. One he recognised as his own and the other as the Soothsayer's."

"Perhaps you do remember."

"Remember what? It's just a stupid nightmare."

"Nightmare? Or memory?"

Hi,

Hope you enjoyed; I know this chapter was a bit chaotic but I wanted you to experience the confusion Po was feeling in his dream too.
