Chapter 20
The Truth
General P.O.V.
When they got back to Treasure Town, the group noticed that the guild members, Sora, Electra and her team were in town square with a Latios, a Latias, an Articuno, a Mew and a Suicune. Jolt recognized the Articuno as Tundra and the Mew as Topaz, but the other legendary pokemon he didn't recognize. He figured that they were Elliot, Karen and Suicune that Palkia mentioned before he left. Jolt also noticed that Kita came up from the beach, something that she didn't do without a good reason since she always moved very slow when on land.
Electra perked up when she noticed Jolt and Lia, but then her eyes opened in surprise when she saw who was with them.
"Grovyle, what are you doing back in this timeline?" Electra asked, running over to the group. "I figured that after we saved time that you wouldn't show up again?"
Grovyle shook his head as the others gathered around them, not noticing the two Lunas on Lia's back just yet. For the moment, he was grateful for that but knew that it wouldn't be too much longer before anyone noticed that.
"Dialga sent a message to his future self to send in some backup for Luna and Jolt," Grovyle answered. "He figured that even with Lia's help that they might need the help since he has a reputation for not playing fair."
At the mention of Luna, everyone looked at the two Lunas and the unconscious Eevee on Lia's back. Everyone but the group, Kita, and the Legendary Pokemon looked surprised at seeing two of them.
"There's two of them?" Chatot shouted, surprised.
Kita sighed, looking over at Lia.
"I guess that they found out the truth, Lia?" Kita asked.
Lia nodded.
"Yes, and they seemed rather surprised," Lia said. "Not that I blame them since she kept that fact from them both."
Kita nodded, seeing everyone shocked at how calm she was.
"Did she use it?" Kita asked.
Lia nodded.
"Yes, but she's been sleeping for almost a full day so she should wake up soon," Lia said. "I figured that she would want to be awake when I wake up Tora, so that she'll be the first he sees when he wakes up."
Kita nodded, seeing the Eevee on her back. He was unconscious, but he wasn't trapped in a nightmare like he was when Darkrai was around. Now, it was just a simple deep sleep. Mana came over and took one of the Lunas and placed her next to Jolt while Lia motioned for the other one to be picked up by Suicune and be placed near them. Once that was done she placed Tora down next to her.
"She'll be waking up soon," Lia said. "I promise once that happens, all will be explained."
Everyone nodded when they heard a slight groan come from the two of them. The both slowly came to and saw everyone gathered around them. One of them noticed that Karen and Elliot were among the ones gathered and visibly cringed, making the others confused but for Lia, Topaz, Tundra, Seren and Suicune to look amused.
"Hey Aunt Karen, Uncle Elliot," The Luna next to Jolt greeted nervously.
The Latias known as Karen narrowed her eyes.
"Don't you "Hey" me, missy!" Karen scolded. "I don't care if you're from a different timeline, you are in so much trouble!"
The other Luna over by Suicune looked equally nervous as Karen turned her attention to her.
"And don't think I forgot about you, either!" Karen said. "You are in twice as much trouble as she is, my little Snowflake!"
The other Luna cringed and looked at Suicune for help, but he just smiled at her in amusement. Giratina, however, looked annoyed at the scolding. He gave Elliot a look, who nodded in understanding. He came over to Giratina, knowing that he couldn't stand his sister's overbearing nature when it came to Luna.
"Your sister is seriously scolding her for beating Darkrai?" Giratina questioned, sounding annoyed. "She does realize that she helped to avert a disaster, doesn't she?"
Elliot sweatdropped at that.
"Well, she may have flew off before Arceus could explain that part," Elliot admitted sheepishly. "She just heard that Luna went off to face Darkrai, and she just freaked out before he could tell her everything else."
Giratina sighed.
"That sounds about right," Giratina said. "I just wish she'd realize that she isn't that little traumatized kid anymore. She's become a confident Pokemon who's not afraid of anything that comes her way."
Elliot nodded.
"Except for others judging her for her heritage," Elliot said. "Though that was something that all of them went through growing up. It's too be expected, really."
Giratina nodded.
"The rest of them realized that it wasn't anything to worry about," Giratina said. "I'm sure that she'll understand that as well, in time."
Elliot nodded.
"In the meantime, I think I'll save my niece from her overbearing Aunt," Elliot said. "I know it that you hate it when she gets scolded just because she's being overprotective."
Giratina nodded. Him and Karen had gotten into a lot of disagreements about it over the years. Karen thought it was best to shelter her, while Giratina thought it was best to let her be free and let her make her own decisions.
"Karen, maybe you should let them speak before passing judgment," Elliot said, cutting in on her attempt to scold the both of them.
Karen looked at Elliot, looking unsure.
"But...Elliot…" Karen said, trailing off.
Elliot sighed and shook his head.
"They have grown up, Karen," Elliot said. "You've just been so worried about what happened to Tora that you never saw it."
Karen took a look at both of them and saw that he was right. She wasn't that scared little kid that she used to be. Karen sighed, sad that she missed it all these years.
"She really has grown up, hasn't she?" Karen asked.
Elliot nodded.
"Yes, she has, but she had help to get to this point," Elliot said. "She knows that she's not alone, and that she can accept help if she truly needs it. Everyone made sure that she knew it as she grew up, and I think that it made all the difference."
Karen sighed and nodded, realizing that she had been overbearing towards her. The other just simply smiled.
"We can talk later, Aunt Karen," The other Luna said. "For now, I believe we owe everyone an explanation since everyone who went to Dark Crater learned the truth, including the ones sent from the future to help with Darkrai."
Karen sighed and nodded, realizing what that meant. They turned to the others who looked confused.
"An explanation would be nice," Chatot said. "I'm curious on how they're two Lunas here."
"I must admit that I'm curious about that as well," Electra said.
"As far as we know, there is only one Luna," Sora said.
The other Luna simply smirked as she looked at Sora and Electra.
"And here I thought I was going to get a better greeting after not seeing you two for almost two years," The other Luna said. "Some reunion this is."
Electra and Sora's eyes widened in shock.
"Glacia!" Sora and Electra shouted, catching the guild's attention.
They remembered that as the Glaceon who was Dialga's assistant and the one who met Wigglytuff and Chatot years ago. The one who gave Jolt the Relic Fragment and a close friend of the trio of friends. They just never expected her to resemble Luna as closely as she did. If I wasn't for a faint scar near Luna's left eye, they would've been the same.
The other Luna, known as Glacia, simply smiled.
"Did it ever occur to you two why I never visited after time was restored?" The other Glacia questioned. "You know that I would usually never stay away this long without a reason."
Electra sighed.
"I've had my suspicions, but I wasn't too sure," Electra said. "Now that I see you both together, it makes sense to me."
Glacia nodded.
"I figured that it wouldn't take much for you to find out the truth," Glacia said. "You were always the most clever of the three of you."
Electra nodded.
"I think it would be better if everyone learned the truth from you both," Electra said.
Glacia and went to the center with the Luna they knew while everyone gathered in front of them. Grovyle ended up next to Autumn and Alexa, who were next to Seren, Giratina and Jolt. Suicune ended up next to Giratina with Karen and Elliot, who had Tora on his back. Everyone else was gathered around in different places.
Luna sighed but nodded for Glacia to start. She sighed and nodded.
"I guess I should start by telling you who I really am," Glacia said. "Most of you know me as "Glacia of the Freezing Wind", a title given to me upon my induction into the Legendary Circle. However, that is not my true name. It was just simply a codename I gave myself to prevent Darkrai from finding me before I was ready to face him. My true name is Luna Starlight Hikaru."
Everyone but the Legendary Pokemon, Electra, and the group from Dark Crater looked utterly shocked.
"You're Luna," Chatot said, sounding shocked beyond words. "How can that be? The Luna we know from the future said that she was a human."
Glacia sighed as she looked down.
"That's because my father was a human," Glacia revealed, shocking them all. "He was a human who stumbled onto this world and fell in love with an Eevee."
She sighed before she looked over at Elliot.
"Although, despite that fact, my siblings and I were born without any human heritage," Glacia said. "I had a human form, but it was given to me by Arceus after I was born to fulfill a prophecy that's fifty years in the making."
The others raised their eyebrows.
"A prophecy?" Sora asked.
Glacia nodded.
"Yes, a prophecy referring to Darkrai," Glacia explained. "You see, for over fifty years, Darkrai had let the element he represents to corrupt him. Darkness is a useful tool, when used correctly. It shows our deepest fears and our darkest secrets, but it's true purpose is to help us overcome what we fear most. It was never meant to be used to make others feel utter terror and despair."
Glacia sighed.
"I didn't know about the truth of my human form until about six months ago," Glacia said.
Everyone's eyes widened in shock, especially Jolt.
"That was when we stopped the collapse of time!" Jolt said.
Grovyle looked equally shocked as Jolt. Glacia sighed and nodded.
"Yes, it was," Glacia said. "After you left, Dialga contacted me to tell me that the disaster had been averted. It was while I was at the tower and Dialga told me everything that happened that Arceus paid us a visit and told me the truth. He had given me a human form so that I could use that form as a cost to perform the most powerful and the most dangerous of my temporal powers, the power to free a Pokemon from corruption."
The one that they knew as Luna sighed.
"It's not a power that a normal Pokemon was supposed to have," Luna said, catching their attention. "It's usually only reserved for Dialga and Lia, due to its ties to time and light. The reason it's so dangerous is that a normal pokemon wouldn't be able to withstand the amount of power needed to use this power. Just the amount alone needed would destroy their own body, but a legendary pokemon can handle that kind of power easily."
Electra sighed and looked at Luna.
"Sounds like he gave you that form to save your life," Electra said. "Without it, you would lose your life if you used that power, which I'm guessing you both did."
Both Luna's nodded.
"They freed Darkrai from his corruption, but they are forbidden from using this technique again," Giratina said. "If they ever do this again, then they really will lose their life. The only reason we allowed it was because she needed to come to a decision."
Grovyle narrowed his eyes.
"A decision?" Grovyle asked.
Giratina nodded.
"Yes," Giratina said. "The choice to live as a human, or as a Pokemon. Her father had to make that same choice long ago, which was the whole reason that he had left for the human world so long ago with Luna. To cut his ties to that world and live here as a Pokemon. Just like the choice she made, her father made it with his heart. The fact that she chose to use this power proves that she has chosen this world over the world she spent the first few years of her life."
Luna nodded.
"We both made the choice a long time ago," Luna said. "Despite our time in the human world, we never really felt like we belonged there. However, here, this place felt like home. It wasn't a hard decision to make, but one we never really voiced, because we didn't know that our human form wasn't a part of us but a temporary form given to us."
Luna sighed.
"Besides, we don't really talk about our human heritage," Luna said. "It's not exactly an easy conversation to have with anyone. Mana knew because of her gift with prophecy and our mother made me tell my friend Saki when we got close. As for Drake, Kira, Razor, Fang and Thunder, my father had already told them the truth a long time ago about who he was, so I never had to explain the truth to them."
Grovyle could see the inner conflict she had in her eyes. He noticed Autumn give a nod to Alexa out of the corner of his eyes as Alexa stepped forward.
"It's something that all of us had gone through as we grew up," Alexa said, catching their attention. "What if someone hates me for my mixed heritage? What if they think I'm a freak? These are all questions that all of us had thought until we realized that it didn't matter how we were born. What truly mattered was who we are and not what we are."
Alexa smiled.
"A fact that Luna realized a year after she gave the Relic Fragment to Jolt," Alexa said, looking at the Luna they knew from the future. "I think that you should show them, little sister. The conversation you had with Seren."
Luna sighed and nodded.
"It would be easier to explain why I never told him the truth until now," Luna said, stepping forward. "I had planned to tell Grovyle the truth before this, but that time never came."
Luna then looked at everyone.
"For those of you who aren't used to my temporal powers, don't panic when they are activated," Luna said. "Keep calm and just watch the scene around you, despite any words you may hear without a speaker. That's just my telepathy at work or my own thoughts."
Everyone nodded. Luna nodded and her eyes began to glow gold and the birthmark on her forehead began to glow as well.
"See the day that everything was set in motion," Luna said.
Then a gold light surrounded them and the scene around them changed.
Scene Start
They were in a house that Grovyle recognized as the house that Luna lived in. There were many books that filled the bookshelves. Some were of different languages, and some were of the legends surrounding legendary pokemon. They were also some about time and its purpose, time gears, humans and the human world.
Everyone looked at one of the bookshelves to see a teenage human girl with shoulder length light blonde hair with ice blue bangs and sea green eyes. She wore a light blue halter top with a sea green skirt with black leggings with a white belt above the skirt and purple boots. She had purple elbow length fingerless gloves and a sea green choker with an ice blue diamond shaped gem attached to the choker. There was also an ice blue crescent moon birthmark on her forehead, hidden by her bangs. They realized that this was Luna's human form.
"Why did I have to keep so many books here?" Luna muttered. "It's always a pain trying to keep everything sorted. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother."
Ember would have an easier time trying to sort all these books. Considering that she runs a library, she would know the order to make it easier to find things.
Luna sighed as she put the final book in the bookshelf and wiped her forehead to get rid of the sweat. Then she walked over to her bed that held a book and started writing in it.
How my sister is so short tempered and can be patient enough to run a library is beyond me. Then again, Autumn has an even shorter temper than her sometimes, and Ember is the fire type. Drake knows better than anyone how bad her temper is.
Then she heard a knock on her door and quickly turned back into her Pokemon form. She grabbed her treasure bag and put it on and opened the door to see that it was Seren, making her breath a sigh of relief. She smiled and quickly let her in before she closed the door.
"Nice to see you, Seren," Luna greeted. "What brings you to my home?"
Seren smiled.
"No real reason, particularly," Seren replied. "I just wanted to see my friend and check up on her. I know that you have to be going stir crazy not being able to go to the mainland."
Luna blushed at the truthful remark.
She's so spot on, it's scary sometimes.
"I know I am, Seren," Luna said. "Despite the fact, I'm willing to stay on this island for Dialga's sake. I could easily go through the seal if I used my own temporal powers, but I refuse to do that. It would weaken the seal and let Darkrai through. It's something we don't want to happen."
Seren nodded.
I refuse to give Darkrai a chance to hurt my godfather. Even if it means I may never see Jolt, Electra or Sora again, it's a sacrifice I have to make. I refuse to lose another father figure to him.
"I know, but you need to do something besides reading and hanging out with your boyfriend" Seren scolded. "Speaking of which, when are you going to tell him the truth about your heritage?"
Luna sighed.
I knew that she would ask eventually.
"After this whole mess with Darkrai is over with," Luna answered. "Until then, I think that it's best he be kept in the dark about it. He won't like it that I didn't tell him, but he'll understand why I kept it a secret. He's gained my trust enough for me to tell him the whole truth about myself but I want it to be in a peaceful situation, not one where I'm surrounded by fear of what might happen. Until this situation with Darkrai is resolved I'm afraid that I'll always be fearful of what may happen next."
Seren nodded in understanding. She then noticed a letter near the bed and picked it up. She looked at it for a moment before looking back at Luna.
"What's this letter for?" Seren asked.
Luna took the letter and sighed when she recognized the letter and put it in her bag.
I guess I can trust her with the truth of why I've been spending so much time reading and spending time with Grovyle. Besides, I'll need her help with what I've been planning. My own plan handicaps me, after all.
"It's something I'm going to give to Grovyle if Darkrai manages to find a way to break through the seal," Luna said. "I mentioned to him before that I have a human friend. He was a little surprised since humans are a rare sight in this world and not much is really known about them. I just left out the fact that the friend I mentioned is actually my human form."
I can't exactly do this the way I want to if he knows that it's me.
"Anyway, in the letter I'm going to tell him if something happens to me I told her to seek him out and carry out my last wish," Luna said. "That she's someone he can trust and has a unique ability that will prove helpful in restoring what has been lost."
Seren looked surprised before her expression turned serious.
"You have a backup plan if Jolt doesn't come to Temporal Island, don't you?" Seren asked.
Luna nodded.
"I have to be prepared just in case," Luna said. "If it comes close to Temporal Tower's collapse then I'm going to use my temporal powers to reduce the effects for everyone on this island. I would do the mainland as well, but doing so would negatively affect me too much. Even doing that has some consequences. I'm sealing my ability to shift between my human and Pokemon forms as a cost for using this power. Giratina and I talked about this before. To protect others from corruption, an exchange is needed. This is what I can do to help Dialga from most of his corruption but it won't get rid of all of it, but it will at least give him a fighting chance to fight it off as long as he can before it completely overtakes him."
Seren nodded.
"How long do you need to prepare to do this?" Seren asked.
Straight to the point.
"I need at least a week to get everything in place," Luna said. "Once I finish preparations, I only need to activate it to start the process. To those that don't know about my human form, it will seem like I just vanished. In reality, I'm transported to the place I chose for the seal to take me in my human form. I'll leave a message with my temporal powers for Grovyle to see if he ever goes there so he can find out what happened to me, but I think for the most part I'll occupy him with what needs to be done."
Seren gave Luna a look.
"You're planning on making sure he knows the time gear locations and all the languages needed to complete this task, aren't you?" Seren asked.
Luna nodded.
"I'm also making sure he also knows what to expect when going to Uxie, Mespirit and Azelf's lake for their time gears," Luna said. "They're not going to make it easy for him to get the time gear. They'll fight him if they have to if it comes down to it. I already know he can go against those three no problem. Dialga though, he might have some trouble."
Seren had a look of realization cross her face.
"That's what you've been doing when you're spending time with him," Seren said. "You've been training him so that he'll be strong enough to fight the guardians and Dialga when he reaches here."
Luna nodded.
"However, it requires us going into the past to accomplish this," Luna said. "Which is why your help will be necessary. Dialga won't be himself by then and would try to prevent us from doing so. That leaves you as our only option. I can't make Dimensional Holes in my human form. That aspect of my temporal powers is only available in my Pokemon form."
Seren nodded.
"Alright, I'm with you," Seren said. "Are you aware of the consequences of changing the past?"
Luna nodded.
"We can possibly disappear and essentially cease to exist," Luna said. "It's up to Arceus to decide if we do or not though. If it means protecting the light of this world, then I'm willing to do anything."
It seems you may have to use your backup plan then, Luna. It seems that our plan has failed.
Seren and Luna shot up at the voice. A voice that Grovyle and Jolt recognized as Dialga.
What do you mean? Did Darkrai manage to break through?
Yes, Luna. He somehow has some slight temporal powers that he used to pass through the seal and get here to the tower. After that, he attacked me and then after he defeated me he sabotaged the tower.
Luna sighed at the news.
How long do you think the tower will hold until it fully collapses and the damage is irreversible?
At most, I would say a year. After that, the chance of preventing it is slim. Even towards the end of the year most of my reasoning will be gone. It's going to end up being a battle if anyone comes around that time. I suggest you spend this time that's left getting together everything needed before time runs out.
Seren and Luna nodded, feeling Dialga cutting off the connection. Then they turned to each other.
"It looks like the situation is dire," Seren said. "How long do you think it will take for Grovyle's training to be enough to fight Dialga?"
Luna smirked.
"At most, half a year," Luna answered. "The rest of it I'll spend gathering materials for the seal, and I'll give you my scarf and bag to hold onto after I activate the seal. The scarf will give me away to Grovyle so I want you to hold onto it for safekeeping once you find me after the seal is activated. I'll tell you where to go when the time comes. I'll spend the remaining time left after everything is prepared with Grovyle. I want to spend what time I have left in this form with him. I won't have access to this form until I release the seal and I won't do that until time is restored. Can you be ready to meet by that time?"
Seren nodded.
"Of course," Seren answered. "Where do you plan on placing the seal?"
Luna smiled.
"At the Rainbow Stoneship," Luna answered. "That way, he'll see it no matter what happens. Meet me there when it's time to activate the seal and I'll tell you where to go next."
Seren nodded.
"Until then," Seren said.
Then she disappeared from sight. Luna sighed and looked out at the sunlight.
The light of this world must be protected, no matter what. I've seen what awaits our world if it isn't, and it's not a fate I would wish on anyone. That's why if I have to sacrifice myself to ensure that it stays, I'll do it with no regrets.
Scene End
Luna sighed as she looked at everyone after the scene changed back to town square.
"Now you know why I never told you about my heritage," Luna said.
Grovyle sighed. He could never stay mad at her, no matter how much he knew she kept to herself.
"That time we were at Mespirit's lake in the future, she said something," Grovyle said. "That you feel that keeping those close to you in the dark is the only way you can protect them, despite the fact it can do more harm than good sometimes."
Luna sighed.
"She must have said that while I was occupied," Luna said, fondly. "She and her siblings always tried to look out for me since I joined the Legendary Circle."
Then Luna looked over at Giratina.
"You also told me that leaving Jolt in the dark about the danger he was in with Darkrai wasn't a good idea," Luna said.
Giratina nodded.
"You were rather stubborn about it, but that's just how you are," Giratina said.
Grovyle sighed.
"That's for sure," Grovyle said. "I remember what Autumn had said about her before we officially met. Stubborn, but with a gentle heart, and just like the wind."
Luna blushed, making everyone laugh.
"Autumn, seriously!" Luna complained. "Did you have to tell him that!"
Autumn gave her a look.
"It's not like it isn't true," Autumn said. "You're just as bad as Ember is when she gets into one of her adventuring moods."
Luna sighed, not liking being the butt of her joke.
"Honestly, I haven't been able to talk to you in two years, and you start making fun of me," Luna said. "At least Lexi hasn't done that, at least."
Alexa just smirked at her sister.
"Oh please, we all know that you just want to be alone with your boyfriend so you can kiss him," Alexa said, nonchalantly. "You spent two years with him and couldn't do a thing. Talk about the sexual tension."
Both Luna and Grovyle blushed.
"Lexi!" Luna growled. "It's not like that!"
Alexa just shrugged.
"Like you weren't thinking it," Alexa said. "Maybe we should let the lovebirds have some time alone."
Luna and Grovyle were glaring at Alexa while Autumn just gave her sister a dry look. While the couple were busy glaring and arguing with Alexa, Jolt and Electra went over to Autumn.
"Are they like this all the time?" Jolt questioned, softly.
Autumn sighed.
"Only when someone teases them about their relationship," Autumn answered. "They prefer to keep the romance quiet when around others. You only get to see them being romantic when they think they're alone and you're hiding in the bushes."
Jolt and Electra sighed.
"You and your siblings did this all the time, didn't you?" Electra asked.
Autumn smirked in response.
"Any chance we could," Autumn said. "Her friends were no different. We just saw that she finally found someone who was slowly breaking down the walls she built around herself."
Autumn smiled softly.
"Truthfully, I didn't expect it to be a friend of mine," Autumn said. "He had always been a little distant, due to not having anyone growing up. However, there was something that drew them to each other. Honestly, I'm happy for them. Despite everything, they managed to persevere and find each other."
Jolt and Electra smiled. Then Glacia walked over to them with a smile on her face.
"His current self has been like a pillar to me," Glacia said. "When things got tough for me, I had him to lean on for support."
Then Glacia glared slightly at Autumn.
"Though I don't appreciate the fact that my family and friends have been spying on me," Glacia said, slightly annoyed. "Those kind of moments are supposed to be private."
Autumn shrugged.
"Talk to your siblings and friends about it," Autumn said. "I'm just the future self of your sister."
Glacia sighed and looked over at Luna and Grovyle, who had stopped arguing with Alexa at this point, looking annoyed.
"So, I guess that now would be the best time to wake up your father," Luna said.
Then Luna looked over at Lia.
"Would you do the honors?" Luna said. "Grovyle, Autumn, Alexa and I should probably stay back until you explain about the time traveling."
Lia nodded.
"That would probably be for the best," Lia said.
Luna, Grovyle, Alexa and Autumn stayed behind Giratina while Lia went over to Elliot, who had Tora over his back. She touched him and a gentle light shined before she stepped back. Things were silent for a moment, before they heard him begin to stir.
Tora slowly opened his eyes to see that he was on Elliot's back, a sight that he was quite used to over the years. He looked to see Elliot was smiling at him, looking relieved.
"Welcome back, Tora," Elliot said. "It's been fifteen years."
Tora looked confused for a moment before he sighed.
"It's been ten years, then?" Tora asked. "Where's Luna?"
Glacia took this as her cue to walk forwards. She walked towards Elliot with her usual grace, though everyone could see that she was trying to stop herself from running towards him.
"See for yourself," Elliot said, motioning towards Glacia.
Tora looked over and saw Glacia walking towards him, with tears in her eyes that she stubbornly tried to hold back. Tora shakily jumped off Elliot and walked towards her.
"I know those eyes," Tora said. "You've grown, my little snowflake."
Glacia gave up the battle and let her tears fall as she ran up to her father and placed her face in his fur.
"I missed you so much, father," Glacia said. "I'm so sorry it took so long."
Tora only smiled.
"It's alright, Luna," Tora said. "I knew you could do it in the end."
Glacia sighed.
"It wasn't just me that made this possible," Luna said. "We had some help from some Pokemon from the future that may seem familiar, and one that you won't know."
Tora raised an eyebrow.
"Darkrai tried something and they tried to stop it I'm guessing," Tora said.
Glacia nodded.
"Autumn, Alexa, my future self, and someone else are the ones who helped," Glacia said. "My future self is the one who defeated Darkrai, but we both did the one thing that Arceus said we would do. Darkrai is himself again."
Tora's eyes widened in shock before he smiled.
"I'm glad," Tora said. "Now, I think that it's time I meet everyone who helped, don't you?"
Glacia nodded and looked over at Giratina and nodded. Giratina moved so that he could see them. Tora's eyes widened at seeing who were the ones from the future. He wasn't too surprised at seeing Luna, but he wasn't expecting to see his other two youngest daughters.
"Autumn? Alexa?" Tora asked.
They both nodded with soft smiles.
"You don't think we would just let her do this on her own, did you?" Autumn said. "Even if she had her boyfriend to help her."
Grovyle and Luna glared at Autumn, making Tora shake his head.
"As long as he treats her right, I have no issues with it," Tora said, surprising them.
Seeing their surprised looks, he just smiled.
"I've been a captive for ten years," Tora said. "I figured that she would have someone, considering how long it's been. She needed emotional support that you two or Angela wouldn't be able to give her. All I ask, is that he takes care of her, and I don't think he'll have any problems with my future self when you find him."
Luna and Grovyle nodded. Karen moved over to Tora.
"I'm so glad that you're safe, Tora," Karen said. "We've all been worried about you."
Tora smiled.
"I know, Karen," Tora said. "Maybe once everything settles down, we can do that thing we were going to do before I left."
Karen smiled fondly.
"I'll look forward to it," Karen said.
Luna smiled and then looked over to Grovyle.
"I say that I think that I've done all I can in this time," Luna said. "Everything else is in their hands."
Grovyle nodded.
"Now we need to do our own work in our future," Grovyle said.
Jolt's eyes widened.
"You're leaving!" Jolt said, catching everyone's attention.
Luna sighed but smiled softly at Jolt.
"I'm not from this time, Jolt," Luna said. "Grovyle and I came here to put an end to Darkrai's schemes. Now that we have, and now that I'm sure that you can stand on your own, it's time for me to go. I need to find my own father and reunite him with my mother."
Jolt sighed but he understood. Glacia was reunited with her family and would bring him back to her family. Now it was time for her to do the same. He couldn't deny her that.
"I'm going to miss having you around," Jolt said, taking off his scarf and giving it back to Luna.
Luna smiled seeing Jolt trying to keep his tears at bay. She was going to miss him.
"You still have my current self, Jolt," Luna said. "Sure, she might not be around as much as I was, but she'll still make an effort for you. She always has, no matter what was going on."
Glacia smiled.
"You could come back with me to Temporal Island?" Glacia suggested. "Come meet the rest of my family and friends. I'll finally be able to introduce you to the Grovyle that lives in this time. He's already aware of everything that's happened. He was a little mad at me for trying to do things on my own, but he understood."
Grovyle smiled.
"I can imagine how much I probably scolded you for that," Grovyle said, amused.
Glacia sighed.
"He definitely set me straight," Glacia said. "I felt bad about keeping things from him, but he still forgave me for it. I actually thought that he would be angrier at me for keeping everything going on a secret."
Grovyle smirked.
"I never could stay mad at you for long, no matter how much you kept to yourself," Grovyle said. "It still doesn't mean I'm not going to scold you for worrying me, isn't that right, Luna?"
Luna flinched slightly, feeling nervous of what waited for her when they were alone. Jolt and Electra looked amused. Judging by Luna's reaction, it wasn't a good experience for her when she got scolded by her boyfriend.
"I'm in trouble when we get back, aren't I?" Luna asked, nervous.
Grovyle smirked, hearing the nervous tone.
"You better believe it," Grovyle said, crossing his arms. "I'm not letting you off that easily."
Luna sighed, not looking forward to the conversation she knew she couldn't avoid. She then looked over at everyone with a soft smile.
"We should probably get going," Luna said. "We've got a lot to do back home, and some time for things to get back to normal."
Wigglytuff nodded.
"We wish you luck with everything," Wigglytuff said.
Luna smiled and looked over at the guild.
"I truly enjoyed the time I spent with all of you," Luna said. "I got to experience just how a guild really worked, something I never had the chance to do because of my duties."
The guild crew just smiled at her. They were glad that she had fun, despite what was going on.
"I will never forget any of you," Luna said. "I only ask that you don't treat my current self any different, and get to know her just as much as you did with me."
Everyone nodded. Luna smiled and looked over at Grovyle.
"I think that we should pay Mesprit a visit when we get back," Luna said.
Grovyle raised an eyebrow.
"Not that I mind, but why do you want to see her?" Grovyle asked.
Luna smiled.
"You'll find out when we get there," Luna said. "This time, this will be a peaceful meeting instead of being part of our mission."
Grovyle nodded. He would get the answer out of her when he was alone, and after he scolded her for keeping him in the dark about everything.
"Well, I guess this is goodbye," Luna said. "I thank everyone for helping me and everyone along the way. I leave it to you to protect the light in this world. Make it last for a long time to come."
Jolt and Electra nodded.
"We will, Luna," Electra said. "You put your life on hold to protect this world. It's time that you start living your own."
Luna smiled and nodded.
"Right," Luna said.
Luna's eyes flashed gold and her birthmark glowed for a brief moment. Then a dimensional hole appeared behind them. Luna sighed and looked at Seren, Autumn, Alexa and Grovyle.
"I've set it up to where we'll end up at my favorite place," Luna said. "The same place I was teleported when I activated the time seal at the Rainbow Stoneship. Is everyone ready?"
Everyone nodded. Luna nodded and looked at Jolt with a soft smile.
"Thank you, Jolt, for everything you've done," Luna said. "Without your help, I don't think that this would've been possible. Now I can finally bring my family together again after ten years."
Jolt smiled.
"I'll miss you, but I understand," Jolt said. "Go live your life. I wish you the best of luck."
Luna smiled softly.
"Yeah, you too," Luna said.
Then Luna nodded and they all jumped through the dimensional hole. The dimensional hole closed behind them and they watched it close, knowing a chapter in their lives has ended and another is just beginning.
