Leia walks the halls of the Senate with threepio at her side.

"Excuse me milady, but I have a most important notification for you."

"To the point, Threepio," says Leia tiredly, looking forward.

"Well… alright. There is someone seeking an audience in the waiting chamber to your office, but your secretary didn't register any check-in for visitors. Most incompetent."

Leia arrives at the door to the waiting chamber to her office. She goes to place her hand on the door controls but stops for a moment. It is as if she could reach out and feel something's out of place.

When she opens the door, she sees a familiar figure. Luke Skywalker in jedi master robes sits on a couch in her waiting room.

"You still have it," he says. "It's never too late to go back. There's still a place for you in the Order."

"I can't, Luke," she says, sitting by his side. "You know I can't."

Luke looks down and scratches his beard, then looks at her again.

"I've heard about Jakku. The Sith have returned."

"Luke…" mutters Leia painfully, "It was Ben. He had a mask on, but I could feel it - my son is still alive."

He looks at his sister, incredulous.

"He was in so much pain… I can't even put it into words," she says cleaning off a tear from her cheek.

"It's not over yet. There's always a way back into the light."

He ponders for a while and then realises the severity of the situation.

"Was Rey there? Did she see him?"

"They fought, but she made it out with a light wound on her shoulder. It wasn't serious," says Leia. "She's on her way to Yavin 4 as we speak."

"Good… good. She's a very talented girl, but her thrill for action concerns me. I… I wish I could be a better teacher for her."

"You are," says Leia. "We do what we can as parents. We'll never be at peace if we don't accept we did our best."

Luke smiles as he looks Leia in the eyes.

"You would've made a grand Jedi Master. Regardless, father would be proud of you."

Luke gets up from his seat.

"Has the senate decided on supporting the Jedi Order's intervention at least?"

"They will discuss it," says Leia with a sigh. "They're not going to reach a decision any time soon. Many people wrongly blame the Jedi for the fall of the Old Republic."

"I see. Well, then, so be it. I hope they will know when the time is right to summon the Jedi."

"I hope so too, Luke. I hope so too."
