The bridge were still scanning the ship in front of them when Tilly joined them.

Pike looked over to her and smiled at her. Tilly knew she was allowed on the bridge by that. She walked over to where Stamets was. Stamets didn't need to look up to know who it was.

"Tilly."

"What's going on? Everyone's saying that we're on red alert."

"Can't you see the ship in front of us?"

"Yeah but what's so dangerous about it?"

"Well it's not dangerous anymore but we're still on edge."

"Right. What do you want me to do?"

"Scan for any life forms. That's what everyone's doing at the moment."

"Right."

Tilly noticed the security team members around the bridge. She was very confused.

"Why is the security team up here?"

"Burham and Saru were fighting earlier. The captain said they needed to stay so they stayed."

"Oh, what were they fighting about?"

"We don't really know to be honest. Something's bothering them though."

"They're normally really close though."

"You're telling me."

"Anything Stamets?" Pike asked to break up the conversation.

"Not yet sir but there must be someone on it."

"I'm close to sending a boarding party to find him." Pike said to the bridge crew.

"Is that a good idea sir?" Michael asked.

"Why not?"

"There's too much damage and debris to transport anyone safely onto the bridge." Saru backed Michael.

"Can we beam someone aboard?"

"If we find anyone, probably." Michael answered.

"Right. There must be…"

"Sir I've got a life sign." Tilly shouted.

The bridge turned to Tilly in surprise. Tilly wanted to sink into the floor when she saw them all looking at her.

"Where are they Ensign?" Pike asked her.

"They're in engineering sir. It's faint but it's there."

"Right beam them up. I'll be in the transporter room. Tell Pollard to meet me down there."

"Yes sir." The bridge responded.

Pike smiled to himself. Whenever he asked the bridge something, they answered as one which was weird because on the Enterprise only one person answered at a time.

Pike went to the transporter room. Pollard was already there waiting. Pike walked through the door; he knew he was already going to be in trouble as he hadn't seen her today.

"Doc." Pike said.

"Captain." She said.

"Have we locked onto the life form?"

"We have them now sir." Detmers voice came through the communicator.

"Energise." Pike said in response.
