"Is it weird that we decide to do this after sharing 'I love you's'?" Elliot asked as Olivia removed the headphones from her ears. He was playing with one of the stress balls he found in her desk, tossing it up and reading through the pages of notes she had written out laid out on the conference room table.

Olivia smirked, writing down the last of her notes. "I don't think so." She pulled her hair back into a ponytail as she gazed down at the pages of transcript she had just written out. After her and Elliot's unconventional breakfast and other exploratory activities, they had stopped by the precinct to get the tape from the restaurant into English. They could have it ready by Monday, and they needed to pick up Noah from his friend's after lunch anyway. "I'll have Kat type this up and print it for reports. We can give the copies to our detectives on Monday when we meet for our weekly rundown."

Elliot nodded. "That sounds like a plan to me." He looked over his shoulder when he saw someone hurry past, smirking when he saw Fin turn to peer in at them. "I think Fin suspects we took the money."

"Why? He hasn't even texted us asking about it." Olivia frowned, messing with the papers to organize them for Kat.

Fin burst into the conference room, letting the door fly shut behind him. "Alright, where's my money? I know you two have it. You guys are the only ones who knew it was in my car last night. I even called Munch and asked him if he came back to get the money. His scrawny ass was half asleep on top of his current wife in progress."

"I don't know why you say it was your money." Olivia retorted before gazing up at him. She leaned back in her chair and raised her feet up onto the table alongside Elliot's. "We make a show of Elliot holding up my bra. Amanda tells you we're sleeping together, and you just believe it." She tossed her pen onto the table. "That money wasn't yours when Munch gave it to you."

"Technically, you didn't win the bet until after we took the money from your car." Elliot grinned, twirling his own pen between his fingers. "We dropped off the money at Liv's bank this morning for deposit, but there's still probably a few hundred dollar bills somewhere in our bedroom. We lost a couple of them when we were having sex on them."

Fin's face twisted up in disgust. "Man, that should be a crime. Imagine the poor teller that had to count that cash. Now, she's got Bensler all over her fingers and doesn't even know it. That's my cash now anyway. You dirtied that girl's fingers for nothing."

"That cash is ours now." Elliot stated promptly.

Olivia nodded. "Consider it an apology for years of encouraging new detectives and other precincts to bet over Elliot's unfaithfulness and my lack of respect for the sanctity of marriage." She jutted her chin towards him. "You won't be the only one who apologizes though. Don't worry. Munch will have his."

"How are you going to pull that off? He bet more money than I did between all the pools he was doing." Fin questioned, glancing between the two.

"Don't worry." Elliot smirked, peering back at Olivia with a matching look on her face. "We'll figure it out."

Fin's eyes darted between the two, waiting for further explanation but quickly realizing it wasn't coming. "Okay, whatever this is, I don't like it. You two conniving together is worse than when you two made googly eyes at each other and seemed to form a game plan without speaking a word. And, that shit was creepy." He pointed his finger at Elliot. "I'm happy for you, but I think I liked you better as a caveman."

"Thanks for your support, Fin." Olivia called out to him as he left the conference room and closed the door behind him. She chuckled when Elliot lowered his feet and rolled his chair closer to hers. "Where do you think you're going?" She giggled when he gave her that shit eating grin that she knew meant no good. "Captain Stabler, do I need to remind you that we're at work?"

"Do I need to remind you, Captain Benson, that we talked about fantasies about the room just a door away, and two doors away if you include the interrogation room?" Elliot patted her thigh before she lowered her own feet to the floor. He gazed back at the pages of transcript. "Did anything stand out to you?"

Olivia shook her head, spreading out the pages. "Not anything obvious. But, something is bugging me." She picked out a particular page and held it up for both of them to look at. "Diamond and this guy were talking business the entire meal, but, when they started to negotiate, Diamond started talking about his daughters and asked the guy if he had a wife and kids." She set the page down and turned her gaze to Elliot, resting his elbows on his thighs and holding the sides of hers. "This guy he met with last night, it almost sounds like he's being forced into this."

"Like, he's a middle man for someone?" Elliot furrowed his brows.

"What if he's working for Diamond, reporting back to him about what's going on?" Olivia asked, leaning her head against her propped arm. "It would make sense for Diamond to distance himself. He could be making the real deal and then just bringing the drugs to the restaurant. Do you know who this guy is?"

Elliot ran a hand down his face. "Reagan got his fingerprint last night and should be at the lab today. If he's not in the system, she'll be doing grunt work to see if he's somewhere else in the file." He shook his head. "If he just brings the drugs to Diamond, Diamond could pin it all on this guy. We wouldn't have him. Nobody would issue an arrest warrant. We would be walking into a trap where we're shot at there or putting targets on our backs for later."

Olivia sighed, rubbing just above her eyebrow with her knuckle. "We need to figure that out. Depending on who this guy is, he might flip on Diamond, but we'll still need more." She swiped her hand across the table, collecting the papers and piling them together. "We need to get Noah."

"Yeah," Elliot nodded, "if you want to grab your stuff, I'll give this to Kat, and we can go."

"Why do we need to get groceries? Can't we just go to McDonald's?" Noah asked as he walked through the market with Elliot and Olivia. He held Olivia's hand as Elliot pushed the cart behind them.

"Because, fast food is not food for a growing boy. It's not healthy." Olivia chuckled as she grabbed a few things off the shelf and set them in the cart. "Besides, we're out of all your favorites."

Elliot caught her attention. "We need to get ice cream and chocolate syrup too."

"Right." Olivia smirked.

Noah frowned. "Mom, we just got ice cream last week. Did you eat all my chocolate chip ice cream already?" He reached onto one of the shelves himself and grabbed a box of crackers. "I didn't even get any this time."

Olivia blushed, as did Elliot, as she walked with him to the next aisle. "That's why we're here. We can get ice cream and have it once we get home." She glanced back at Elliot, giving him a wink. "Any suggestions on flavor?"

"With my new favorite dessert, I think anything will taste delicious with it." Elliot smirked before the reached the freezers. "Oh, they have cookie dough." She raised her eyebrows at him. "Not for that. I do like to eat ice cream while watching movies as well." He stood behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "I'm guessing you want strawberry."

"I want chocolate chip." Noah declared, opening up the freezer and grabbing the tub. He laughed when Elliot picked him up and held him up far enough to grab the strawberry. "I don't have another hand for cookie dough."

Elliot chuckled as he reached in himself. "Good thing I still have a free hand." He turned so they could put the ice cream in the cart. "Alright, little man, I think that's everything. Are you ready to go home?"

"Can we?" Noah asked, clearly ready to be out of the grocery store. They started walking towards the check out lines, Olivia now pushing the cart since he was still in Elliot's arms. "Hey Elliot, are you going to stay with us tonight or are you going home?"

"Do you want me to stay?" Elliot asked.

Noah grinned. "Yeah, I like having you at our house."

"So then, I'll stay." Elliot chuckled as he let Olivia step in front of him for the check out. "Can I tell you a secret?" Noah nodded excitedly. "Did you know that your mommy is home to me?" He frowned. "I love your mommy so much. There's no place or building that makes me feel like I'm home. I feel like I'm home when I'm with your mom."

"Really?" Noah beamed. He looked back at Olivia, seeing she was busy looking at the candy selections. "I have a secret too." He leaned close to Elliot's ear, cupping his hand over his mouth. "I think Mommy really likes you."

Elliot chuckled and kissed his head. "Really? I think so too. I'm going to take her to the prom." He laughed harder at the shocked expression on Noah's face, gaining Olivia's attention. "Liv, did you ever go to prom?"

Olivia shrugged. "Of course. Awkward pictures, slow dances, a possibly spiked punch bowl." She smiled when Elliot stepped around the cart and started helping unload their groceries onto the counter. "Did you?"

Elliot nodded. "How do you think I got Maureen?"

"Okay, I call bullshit." Olivia smiled as she walked out of her bathroom.

"Why?" Elliot asked from the bed, waiting for her to join him with the bedside lamp on. "Things could've been totally different."

Olivia laid down on top of him, above the covers, and gazed down at him. "El, you were a jock in high school. I was hardly involved in anything. I was a good looking nerd at best. If we went to high school together, we wouldn't have even been in the same social circles. We probably wouldn't have even known each other."

"Oh, I would've made sure to know you." Elliot grinned, leaning up and pecking her lips. "From the moment we became partners, I spent more time and attention on you. Kathy blamed you for some of our problems. If we had met in high school, I would've been after you."

"After me, huh?" Olivia giggled, smiling as he reached over and turned out the lamp. "What? Would I have been some life mission to conquer for you?"

Elliot turned on his side, letting Olivia rest on hers. They both propped their heads up on their hands, staring at each other. "You've been my life's center for half my life. I'm sure if we had met earlier it would be longer. Life isn't certain, but I know that you are a constant in my life." He kissed her forehead. "I think it would've been fun to know you in high school."

Olivia rolled her eyes. "I was waiting for college in high school. My mother, she was a good mother when she was sober, but we both know her sober days were few and far between." She ran a hand through her hair. "I did everything I could to avoid going home somedays. If I got back late enough, she'd be too drunk to notice I got home. I wouldn't have to endure the verbal abuse. But, she'd call me every name in the book if I didn't time it right. Things got physical a couple times, violent less than a handful." She shook her head. "I would've been under your radar in high school."

"You would've been my top priority on my radar." Elliot corrected her, tucking a few strands of hair behind her ear. "I've been a protector as far back as I can remember. I would've done everything I could've to get you out of that. Being scared to go home isn't a good feeling. I was terrified of my father for some of the things he did." He held her tighter. "I wish I could've protected you."

"Me too." Olivia breathed, knowing they both wished they could protect each other from every pain and trauma in their lives. It was just their nature, but she knew it ran so much deeper between them. "Oh my God! Could you imagine knocking me up at prom?"

Elliot laughed into her shoulder, feeling her own body shake with laughter. "You would've castrated me. Then, you would've castrated my dad for trying to demand a wedding so I could take responsibility." He shook his head, moving his forehead to hers. "Who knows where we would've ended up? I'm happy with where we are now."

Olivia smirked, wrapping her arms around him. "How happy?"

"Ice cream and sex happy." Elliot hummed.

"Wow," Olivia bit her lip, feeling his hands pull her closer to him, "that's pretty happy. I'm not sure how I could top that." She saw the gears working behind Elliot's eyes. "I swear to God, Stabler. If you try to incorporate steak into sex, I will force you to eat salads the rest of the day."

No," Elliot chuckled, "as interesting as that would be, I'll stick to desserts with you." He pecked her lips. "It's just. You don't know, do you?" She frowned. "You don't know how happy you make me. Just being here, just your presence. I love everything about you, and I'm happy with you. It doesn't matter what we're doing or where we are. You just make me happy all the time."

Olivia rolled her eyes but sighed when he squeezed her hip, reassuring her that he was not messing around. "Even when I roll my eyes because I think you're bullshitting me."

"Even when you roll your eyes because compliments make you uncomfortable." Elliot added, cupping the back of her head. "I'm serious, Liv. You can roll your eyes all you want, but I'm going to keep telling you. Because, you deserve to know how much your loved, how happy you make people."

"When did you get so talkative?" Olivia asked, a breath of a chuckle slipping by her lips as she blinked away the extra moisture in her eyes. She held Elliot tighter, nearly melding herself to him. "I used to have to drag this stuff out of you."

Elliot grinned, caressing her cheek with his thumb. "Things change when you find out you love somebody that's been sitting across from you for over a decade. And, you know what they say. Home is where the heart is, and it's good to be home."
