Chapter Twenty Three. Hateful guy of sinfulness, fight song. Or other Hellsing ost.

Dio hung upside-down from the tree, thinking to himself. The test of courage was proving boring. He could easily avoid the future heroes of Class 1-B easily, after all, he was in a dense forest. He was alone now, Midoriya was nowhere to be seen. Though that was to his advantage. His presence would just be a hindrance.
And if he was correct, a target. Since the training camps beginning, he had been waiting for the League of Villains attack. But still, two nights after his arrival, it had not come. Perhaps they would strike at night, when the students would be sound asleep. At times, on the rare moments he had seen Midoriya, he had contemplated just ending him then and there.
He could have done it easily, even without The World's diminished one second time stop. It would be simple. Walk up to him, rest a hand on his neck and squeeze. The real problem would be the other students and heroes.
Todoroki's flames being one of the biggest problems. Though he knew that in his proper state, as learned at the Joestar's former mansion, fire couldn't kill him. But in his current diminished state, he wished to play it safe. Aizawa would be able to pen him in for a time, but with enough simultaneous time stops, escape or consecutive kills were possible.
However, Vlad King may prove to be a disadvantage to the heroes. Due to his Quirk being reliant on blood, and since that forced him to carry a fair few litres of it around with him, well Dio could easily replenish his vampiric and Stand powers.
Then came the Wild Wild Pussycats. Ragdoll's Quirk would help them find his weaknesses, though if those included his vampiric and currently diminished Stand weaknesses, he was not sure. Mandalay was also a minor nuisance to him. Her telepathy would keep the Pussycats, and others, better organised. That way they could beat him in a well planned attack.
In conclusion, Dio deemed killing Midoriya to be a task which would prove more trouble than it was worth. And that didn;t even include the investigation into him which the murder would cause. At worst, he would lose his home, the arrow and be imprisoned. At best, he would live the life of a fugitive.
Dio dropped from the tree, landing to see a somewhat visible mist of purple coming towards him. Examining it, he smiled slightly. 'Oh, let tonight be the night.'
He heard a rustling from behind him, then as he turned, he saw a giant.

A few minutes earlier.

Maneater stood at the foot of a hill, his wings folded behind him. He held in his oversized talon-fingers a picture, one of Izuku Midoriya.
He went into the forest, his target's name and face fresh in his mind. He saw the mist of Mustard pooling in his footsteps, forcing him to dawn his mask. As he came to a path, he saw a blonde haired boy before him.

Now, with Dio.

'Lovely night tonight, would you not agree?' said Dio. He examined the giant. He looked like a demon of one of humanity's many religions. His wings were folded behind him, his talons great. 'I can not say that I know you, might you tell me your name?'
The giant brought himself onto the path, revealing an equine face and goat-like legs. 'I am known as Maneater. I know you, Dio Brando, of U.A.'s Class 1-A.'
'I suspect that you are related to the cause of this smoke, am I correct?' The Maneater nodded at him, showing great fanged teeth as it did so. 'Then if I were to guess, you are here to attack me and my fellow classmates.'
'That is correct, Dio.'
Dio thought for a moment. If this person had brought others with him, then they would attack the students of both classes. That meant that there was every chance that Midoriya would die. That was good, very good. That meant that there were multiple killers present. Meaning Dio could fight the Maneater, all the while Midoriya lay dying at the feet of some unnamed villain.
'Then I suppose we will have to fight.'
At this declaration, Dio felt himself being slammed into a tree. His world was spinning before him, an ice cold pain blanketed his chest. He saw the Maneater leering at him, uncurling its giant fist. 'Dio, are we done?'
Hauling himself up, Dio spat a thick wad of blood. 'Oh no, we are only starting.' Dio felt around his chest, taking a moment to check himself over. If he had been mortal, he would have been dead. 'You tried to kill me, I like that.'
He took a faltering step forwards, feeling pain lance through his leg. He looked down, seeing a gash run across it, 'and you hurt my leg.'
'You live? I find this… unusual.' Said the Maneater, curling his fists once more. 'I will fight you, before nights end, I promise you this.'
He stormed on down towards Dio, a towering demon taller than some people's homes. His musculation was so swollen and inhuman, that in places his clothing was torn just by his movements. His ruddy face was covered in scars, discolouring translucent flesh.
'You will regret saying that once I am done with you!' Dio challenged, The World at his side.
Dio pulled out a set of knives, he had smuggled them in with his clothing, keeping them ready just in case he needed them. They were not his favoured throwing knives, no, but these would do for the time being. He raked Maneater's chest with his knives. They had the same effect as keys on a car's paint.
Maneater laughed, slamming his fist into a tree, knocking it aside.
'If you are done, it is my turn!' Dio shouted, looking at his Stand. 'The World, time stops!' The world paused, Maneater's ugly equine face caught between roar and challenge. Allowing his Stand to wonder from him, it flew towards the Maneater. Its first blow seemed to dent his muscular torso, his second tore into him, his third turned that dent into a soon to be blood-soaked wound. The fourth and fifth expanded it, the sixth punched through to the back.
As time resumed, Maneater staggered, clutching his wound. 'What have you done! How did you do this, explain yourself!'
'I do not need to explain myself, not to you.' Bloody spluttered out from Maneaters wound, bathing his chest in a deep crimson. Dio ran forwards, straightening his fingers into a shape perfect for chopping. He slid down and through Maneater's legs with a time stop, chopping his left leg with his hand. Feeling a bone-breaking impact
As the time stopped, Maneater turned to follow him, leaving his severed leg behind. With a roar of shock and fury, Maneater overbalanced and crashed down on his face. 'You think you have bested me, you are wrong!'
He clawed himself forwards, unfolding his wings. His face was a mask of fury, he clawed at Dio with wild abandon. Dio flung himself backwards, almost evading the demon-mans talons. One caught him, slamming him back and against a tree. Maneater was sorely wounded, and without medical attention, he would sorely die.
'I said I would kill you,' Maneater said, crawling forwards. 'I will succeed, even if it kills me.'
Dio gasped, he felt blood fill his lungs. 'S-stingy eye beams!.' A beam of bodily fluids burst out from Dio's eyes, slamming into Maneater before he knew what was happening. He recoiled, the beams passing through his shoulder and back.
'T-tell me, Maneater. Who was your target, surely you had one.' Dio said, dragging himself towards the giant.
'A green-haired boy. I… Izuku Midoriy-a.'
'Y-you know what, Maneater, I now regret fighting you. To show my regret I am going to kill you quickly.' As he finished speaking, The World's fist collide with the equine face of Maneater, ending him.
Dio crawled towards what reamiend of the neck, pressing his hand towards it. 'Find solace in the fact that your blood… Will heal me. And that with it, Izuku Midoriya will die.'

Well, I hope you all enjoyed, take care.
