I'm glad you guys like the last chapter, even though the story will have no ships, it will have shipping moments. Now it's time to the P-1 Grand Prix. By the way I plan to do Element Tournaments, but to you want them to be a part of this series, or be their own thing. Basically it is 18 tournaments with each one representing their respective types. If you want them to be a part of these series they I'll divide them between the regions. Let me know what you think, anyway now it's time for Primeape's battle time. Also I'm not letting Ash use Lucario because that would be overkill, but don't worry Lucario will battle in the next chapter. Lucario will only be used every once in a while.
"Alright folks, it's now time for P-1 Grand Prix to start, as you know, only Fighting Type Pokémon are allowed to participate. Only Physical attacks are allowed, and the battle is over when one side's Pokémon is unable to battle." The announcer stated as everyone was current getting to their seats.
Currently as Ash was entering the Grand Prix with his Primeape. A few days after his battle with Erika, Ash and his friends continued their travels and were heading for next gym. When they had arrived in this town the found out that the P-1 Grand Prix, was going to be held here. Deciding to enter, Ash decided to enter with his Primeape, since he wanted Primeape to get the experience. After he entered, Ash had a run in with both Hilda and Herbert who were also entering the tournament with their Pignite and Mienfoo.
Herbert was first to move on to the next round after defeating his opponents Hitmontop. It was a tough battle, with Mienfoo winning with a well-placed High Jump Kick. Hilda was next, and her match was a little more difficult since her opponent was using a Poliwrath. Thankfully Pignite knew both Wild Charge and Poison Jab to help pick up its victory. Now it was Ash time, as his opponent was a guy named Jeff from the Hoenn region, and his partner was a Hitmonlee. Primeape was practically bouncing with excitement, his eyes not leaving his opponent.
"Begin."
"Primeape use Cross Chop."
"Hitmonlee use Rolling Kick."
Charging forward Primeape held his arms in an X formation, while his opponent had leaped forward as he spun around as his foot managed to block the chop. Grinning both continued.
"Mega Kick/Thunder Punch."
With his left fist crackling with electricity, Primeape's fist collided with Hitmonlee's glowing foot. As they once again collided both Pokémon were determined to overpower the other.
"Fire Punch.
Now with Primeape's right fist covered in flames, Primeape broke through the Mega Kick, and delivered a devastating blow.
"Lee!" Hitmonlee groaned as he staggered back. Then growling at Primeape, Hitmonlee caught itself before it hit the post.
"Hitmonlee, use Blaze Kick."
Not even close to giving up, Hitmonlee's foot became incased in flame as it delivered a roundhouse kick. The blow sent Primeape back towards the ropes, seeing Ash quickly countered.
"Primeape bounce off the ropes and use Cross Chop."
Hearing its trainers command Primeape used to ropes to up speed as it launched itself forward with arms crossed.
"Lee!" Hitmonlee cried as it flew back from the impacted.
"Now Primeape use Poison Jab." Ash called wanting to finish the match.
"Hitmonlee use Blaze Kick!" Jeff called for a counter.
The two attacks collided as both Pokémon were forced back, glaring at each other not waiting to give in.
"Hitmonlee use Low Sweep!' Jeff called out.
Hearing its trainer Hitmonlee ran forwards, before sliding low and attempting to hit Primeape's legs. Seeing this Ash was quick to counter, "Jump and use Brick Break."
Leaping into the air, Primeape's right arm glowed bright, as it brought its arm down onto Hitmonlee's gut.
"Lee!" Hitmonlee cried out in pain.
"Finish it with Focus Punch!" Ash called out.
"Primeape!" Primeape howled out, as its right hand glowed before slamming it into Hitmonlee.
"Lee!" Hitmonlee cried out before falling into unconscious.
"Hitmonlee is unable to battle, Primeape wins." The ref called out.
"All right, Primeape you did it." Ash said as he hugged his Pokémon.
"Prime!' Primeape shouted out in glee as it hugged as back.
With the first round over, it was now time for the next round. First a trainer was named David, from the Kalos Region, won his match with a black and white bear-like Pokémon named Pangoro. Next Hilda won her fight with Pignite defeating a Hitmonchan. Next Herbert defeated their opponent's Hitmontop. Now Ash was up again, and his opponent's was a girl named Melina and just like David she was from the Kalos Region. The Pokémon she was using bipedal bird-like Pokémon with green, red, white and orange plumaged, called Hawlucha. This was going to be a difficult battle with Hawlucha being a Flying and Fighting Type.
"Begin!" The ref called out.
"Ladies first, Hawlucha use Wing Attack." Melina started off as it Wings glowing as it charged at Primeape.
Not giving an order right away, Ash waited for Primeape to get closer before calling out, "Primeape, use Thunder Punch."
"Prime!' Primeape cried out as its fist cackled with electricity. The two attacks struck causing a stalemate that sent both Pokémon back.
"Now Primeape use Ice Punch." Ash called pressing forward.
"Hawlucha use Aerial Ace." Melina countered.
Seeing his opponent closing in, Hawlucha disappear for a second, before reappearing ramming into Primeape, however not giving in, Primeape, managed to land a blow onto Hawlucha. Then quickly acting, Primeape grabbing on to Hawlucha for a Seismic Toss. Hawlucha grunted in pain as it was slammed into the mat.
"Hawlucha don't give in Karate Chop!" Melina called out.
Raising its arm Hawlucha brought it down onto Primeape's head causing it to clutch its head in pain. Taking the opportunity Hawlucha smashed into Primeape with an X-Scissor. Primeape was sent back as it landed on the ground with a thud.
"Primeape, no." Ash called out in worry.
"Hawlucha, use Flying Press!" Melina called out with glee.
Jumping onto one of the ring post, Hawlucha jumped into the air as it began diving towards Primeape. However just as it needed Primeape, "Primeape roll out of the way." Ash warned.
Hearing Ash, Primeape quickly rolled on its side as Hawlucha missed and crashed onto the ground with a thud.
"Now Thunder Punch, and Ice Punch." Ash ordered.
Hearing Ash's command, Primeape continuously struck Hawlucha with its fist.
"I wonder, why Ash is relying mainly on Thunder Punch, and Ice Punch?" Misty asked Brock.
"Same I wonder what's his plan." Brock replied.
However, their answer would come soon as Hawlucha managed to knock Primeape off of it with High Jump Kick. However, soon Hawlucha winced as it suddenly felt paralyzed.
"I see, Thunder Punch, and Ice Punch have a chance to either paralyze or freeze the opponent. By attack repeatedly with them, Ash figure he would have a better change to stop Hawlucha." Brock explained.
"That pretty clever." Misty admitted.
"Now Primeape use Poison Jab." Ash called out.
With its fist glowing purple Primeape hit Hawlucha with several jabs before Hawlucha finally fainted.
"Hawlucha is unable to battle Primeape wins." The ref announced.
"All right Primeape keep it up, and you'll win the whole thing." Ash stated.
"Primeape." Primeape cheered in agreement.
It was time for the semifinals as Hilda had defeated Dave, it was a tough battle, but thankfully Pignite evolved into Emboar and won. Now it was Ash's turn and he would be going up against Herbert, and Mienfoo.
"Begin!" The ref stated.
"Primeape use Cross Chop/ Mienfoo use Fake Out."
Before Primeape could move Mienfoo appeared, and brought hands together, in front of Primeape stunning him. Ash then called for Fire Punch, as Primeape threw a punch, Mienfoo blocked it with Brick Break. The two Pokémon struggled to overpower the other, however managed to land a Low Sweep on Mienfoo. Mienfoo fell to one knee as it clenched its leg in pain. As Primeape was about to strike Mienfoo, Herbert ordered Force Palm.
Gather energy in its palm, Mienfoo placed it hand on Primeape, and unleased its energy sending Primeape flying. Slowing Mienfoo managed to get back, though it leg was still a little wobbly.
"Mienfoo charge up a Focus Punch." Herbert ordered. Nodding Mienfoo closed its eyes as it started charging energy in its right hand.
Seeing what Herbert was up to Ash decided to copy Herbert's orders.
"Primeape, you charge up a Focus Punch as well." Hearing Ash, Primeape also began gathering energy in its fist.
"Go!" Both trainers shouted.
"Mienfoo/Primeape!" Both Pokémon shouted as their fist clashed.
Both Pokémon wouldn't give in as the force sent the two crashing into the ring corner. Primeape managed to get first, and charged at Mienfoo with a Poison Jab. As soon as Primeape was close, Mienfoo struck back with a Dual Chop. Primeape was pushed back, but not wanting to give up Primeape countered with another Low Sweep, bring Mienfoo down on its knee again.
"Primeape finish with Outrage." Ash called out.
"Primeape!" Primeape shouted, as its eyes turned red. Primeape then began delivering an all-out assault, with several kicks and punches. Finally, after 2 minutes Mienfoo collapse unable to stand up.
"Mienfoo, is unable to battle. Primeape wins." And just like that battle was over, win Ash moving on to the next round.
After returning Primeape, Ash and Herbert shook hands before talking Primeape to the Pokémon Center in order to be treat it before the final match. Once they returned it was now time for the final match. Primeape's opponent was Hilda's Emboar, Emboar was a large bulky pig-like Pokémon with a beard made of fire. Two Pokémon locked eyes, each wanting to win the covenant P-1X Championship Belt. Now it was time to see who would become champion.
"Begin!' The ref called out.
"Emboar, Arm Thrust!" Hilda called out.
"Primeape, Fury Swipes." Ash countered.
Emboar began thrusting its arms at incredible speeds, while Primeape began quickly swiping away. Neither Pokémon where backing down, as they blocked the other's attack.
"Primeape switch to Thunder Punch." Ash ordered.
"Emboar, Fire Punch." Hilda countered.
The Pokémon continued to exchange blows, and they collided over and over. In the process Emboar switched Fire Punch to Hammer Arm, and began bringing its arms down. Primeape kept jumping out of the way waiting to attack. After Emboar used its fourth Hammer Arm, Ash saw his opportunity.
"Primeape, Cross Chop." Ash called out.
Bringing its arms into an X formation Primeape charged forwards and smashed into Emboar. But Emboar shook off the attack as it slammed into Primeape with Assurance. Growling Primeape wouldn't go down as it pushed Emboar back, using its own Assurance. Emboar let out growl as it struck Primeape back with another Fire Punch.
"Prime!" Primeape cried as it flew back.
"Primeape, quick use the ropes then fight back with another Cross Chop."
Using its move from earlier that day, Primeape launched itself with the ropes and slammed into Emboar. Stumbling back, Emboar shook itself before charging back with another Arm Thrust.
"Dodge Emboar, then Seismic Toss!' Ash said.
Avoiding Emboar's strikes then grabbed one of its arms then jumped into the air spinning in circles then slamming Emboar into the mat.
"Now use Poison Jab."
With laid out on the mat, Primeape hand glowed purple, as it shot its arm forward.
"Emboar, dodge then Heat Crash." Hearing Hilda, stood on one arm as it Primeape smashed its hand on the mat. Then cloaked itself in flames before crashing down on Primeape. Since Emboar was about 5 times heavily Heat Crash dealt a lot of damaged.
"Primeape use Outrage!" Ash called wanting to get Emboar off of Primeape.
Letting lose its power, Primeape managed to force Primeape off then backed it into a corner. Emboar wasn't going to take it, sitting down as it managed to slam into Primeape with a Flame Charge. However once the Outrage Primeape, began moving around due to Outraged after effects of confusion.
"Emboar, kept using Flame Charge."
Emboar continued to slam into Primeape as it continued to raise its speed. Once Primeape snapped out of the confusion, but want panting heavily from all the damage it took. Emboar was also panting from the series of attacks it made. Knowing the two needed to next would win the match both trainers called out their final move.
"Emboar, Flare Blitz!" Hilda shouted.
"Primeape, Close Combat!" Ash yelled out.
Emboar surrounded itself in blue flames as it charged forwards, while Primeape charged forwards to deliver an all-out assault. The force sent the two Pokémon back as they panted glaring at each other. Suddenly Emboar collapsed with swirls in its eyes, which meant one thing.
"Emboar is unable which means Primeape is the winner." The ref announced.
The cowards cheer for the new champion as Ash ran into the ring and hugged Primeape congratulating him. After praising their Pokémon, the two shook hands wishing each luck in future battles. Primeape was had the P-1X belt and began jumping up and down in happiness. With this victory hey Ash was even more motive to win their next badge at the Fuchsia City gym.
Alright chapter done. Next is Ash vs Gary four on four battle, with Lucario making its debut. After that Ash's sixth gym battle.
