When Renee woke up, she glanced around.

"Violet! Klaus! Sunny!" She shouted,glancing around looking for them.

"Renee!" Violet shouted, clambering up and running to hug her girlfriend.

"Oh baby you're ok," Renee whispered,pressing her forehead against Violets. Violet slipped her arms around Renee's waist.

"I love you," she whispered in her ear.

"I love you too,darling," Renee whispered, kissing her.

"Ugh, give over lovebirds," Klaus muttered, standing up and brushing sand off himself. He picked Sunny up and walked over to the other two.

"What do we do?" Violet whispered, glancing at Olaf.

"Is he dead?" Klaus asked. Violet shrugged. Renee stepped a little closer to him, and knelt down next to him. She went to touch him as his eyes jerked open. She toppled back in shock.

"Ayi!" Sunny giggled.

"She means-" Violet started.

"Sunny! It is not funny I fell!" Renee gasped in mock offence. Sunny and Violet both laughed. Renee scrambled up and walked back to her friends.

"Get me a coffee," Olaf insisted.

"We're in the middle of a fucking island," Renee hissed at him.

"Where the fuck do we find a coffee machine?" She asked.

"Right there,next to the little girl," Olaf said,pointing to a small child around the age of 10. She was quite beautiful, with black skin and dark eyes.

"Hello! I'm Renee, do you live on the island?" Renee asked her. The girls eyes widened and she nodded.

"Could you take us to your people?" She asked calmly. The girl nodded once more and turned around.

When they finally arrived, Violet turned to Renee.

"Are we joining a cult?" She asked.

"No cult is worse than VFD,love," Renee whispered back. Violet laughed. When Renee and Violet finally stopped talking to each other, they looked up to see Olaf getting carried away in a cage. Violet and Renee both exchanged a smirk.

"Cya, Olaf," Renee called.

She smirked at Violet.

"I is very haply to see Olaf carried away,my love," she whispered. Violet giggled.

"You're crazy," she told Renee. Renee nodded.

"I take great pride in my craziness,dear," she said. Violet chuckled. Ishmael gave the four some outfits that matched with the rest of the island and directed them into a tent where they could change. Klaus helped Sunny change in the tent next to Violet and Renee, and Violet and Renee both helped each other tie their robes.

After going back to the other inhabitants of the island, Ishmael gave them some coconut water. They all tried some and made disgusted faces at each other.

"Don't you have anything else?" Violet asked. She turned around to Renee who was sniffing the water.

"What the fuck are you doing?"

"I'm inhaling it with my nose. That way I hydrate but I also do not have to taste it," Renee smirked at Violet.

"That isn't how it works,Renee-" Violet told her. Renee glared at her.

"Oh for fuck sake. Nevermind. You're too dumb," Violet rolled her eyes. Renee laughed.

"Yeah but I'm gay so it's ok!" She told her.

"Yes. Gay. Gay queen. Be gay." Violet told her. Ishmael frowned.

"We've never had a gay on our island before,and I'm not sure I'm comfortable with it," he whispered.

"Go fuck yourself," Renee told him,leaving the tent with fish.

"Where you going?" Violet called.

"To find out stuff. Bribe Olaf " she shouted back. The Baudelaires ran after her.

The next day was a bit awkward. Olaf somehow managed to escape, and everything was a blurr. He impersonated Kit, who washed up on the island, a harpoon gun was shot, and medusoid mycelium was released. The four children tried to convince Ishmael not to leave the island, but he wouldn't listen and left. Violet groaned.

"Adults are morons," Renee whispered. Violet nodded.

"Come on...we need to find a cure," she whispered, trying her best not to cough. The children all ran the length of the island until they found the tree home that used to belong to the parents of the Baudelaires. They eventually found out what the cure was, but collapsed before they could reach it.

"We can't die like this...not when the cure is right above our heads," Violet whispered. The four of them began to feel drowsy. They knew that Renee was in the most danger,due to her breathing issues. Renee opened her eyes and found Sunny standing over her and Violet with an apple. Renee grabbed it and bit into it.

After they all had the apple, they ran to save Kit and Olaf.
