I'm alive! And I do not own anything.

Justus80 – Sorry it took so long. My well of inspiration has been a little low lately. Anyway, I considered making Jazz a villain, but I haven't thought of a good way to do that and have the experience feel real instead of just a desperation play. Just disliking Danny for having powers wasn't enough for me.

TheBigBruteOmega – like I said in the author's note, I was kicking around the idea of Jazz becoming a villain. Unfortunately, I can't think of a reason for that to happen.

Shadowwriter329 – Given how the villain brought on by Tucker was influenced by the cybernetic villain of Code Lyoko, it seemed fitting to give the name of the good cybernetic heroine to his new technology.

The hint about Danny's powers was shown back in the first chapter. It is the main reason he has stayed hidden from paradiso, inferno, and everything in between so far.

Yeah, I figured given how Jazz as so against anything that was ghostly in the first season, that Danny completely undoing her work, in her eyes, anyway, would drive them apart. However, I cannot say that I can think of a way to make her a villain without forcing it, and making it seem unnatural.

ArachnidKing – Glad you liked it.

Gregclancy88 – still working on it.

Devilzxknight86 – Yeah, I can't think of a good way to make Jazz a villain. I think I might just make her antagonistic for a while. You might want to go into a bit more detail with the cable powers.

Zen-Aku the Spirit of the Wolf – glad you respect it.

Link Shadowfox – Unfortunately without a good reason to make her a villain, I don't think it will be shown here.

Richard1081 – Yeah with all the other changes I've made so far, it seemed like a good idea to change up their dynamic.

Guest – Yes everything is fine. Thank you for asking.

Guest – I am fine. Glad you liked the chapter, and I would be open to ideas. Yes.

Chapter 18: Rumble in the Park.

Ever since Danny had come out to his parents about having powers, he had felt that there was a huge weight lifted off his shoulders. He couldn't help but feel happy that his parents accepted him for who he was.

There was of course, the tests but like Maddie has promised, the tests were simple physical tests, mainly seeing if there were things carried over to the ghost form, and if the ghost half was influencing his human half in any way. They did draw some blood from both of his forms, but that was as bad as it got.

Maddie and Jack had been horrified when they saw the impalement scar on Danny's chest and immediately demanded to know who had done that to him. As you can probably guess, Skulker was going to be at the top of their hit list if he ever showed up again.

Sam and Tucker were shocked when they found out the next day, after delivering Danny's homework to him, that he had told them, and they had accepted him. Upon finding out the two were helping Danny fight ghosts, they thanked them for helping their son when they could. They also wanted to examine Tucker's new PDA and computer for information on how it worked. Who knew what they could do with that? However, if Danny knew Tucker, they would have to pry it from him.

Danny had just finished his breakfast and was putting away his used dishes when Jazz entered the room.

"Hey Jazz," Danny said with a smile, "You mind giving me a ride?"

Jazz scoffed and said, "You have your own way of travel, don't you?"

Danny lost his smile. Unfortunately, things had not been completely great since coming out with his powers. Ever since, Jazz has been extremely distant, almost cold. He had thought she would grow out of it, but it had almost been a week.

Grabbing his backpack and placing it in his personal dimension, or PD for short, as he and his parents called it, he transformed and took off for school.

"Bye, I'm off," Danny called out.

Hearing a response from his parents, Danny flew through the ceiling and flew away.

Unknown to him, the van that had been parked outside his car for the past few days, something they all through was a surveillance van looking for Danny's supposed kidnappers, was watching him.

Inside of the van, multiple screen there, showing every room in the house…except for the bathroom and bedrooms. That would be weird. Another screen showed images of Danny, both in human and in ghost form.

The figure watching them said, "Sir, we've been watching the ghost boy and his family for a couple of weeks now. So far, we have no evidence to support any crimes on part of the Fenton's, nor do we have any proof the boy is up to no good with his abilities. Yes, sir. The preparations will be made to establish contact with the new assets."

(Cue Danny Phantom Intro.)

(Title Card: Secrets Out. Tagline: Loose lips…do a lot more damage than you would think. The title shows Danny looking shocked at something while his parents are looking at Danny in horror. While Jazz is covering her mouth in surprise.)

"No way," Tucker said, in shock, "They actually accepted you and your powers? That is awesome dude."

It was lunch period, and Danny had just finished telling Sam and Tucker the story of what happened when his parents found out about his powers.

Sam sighed and said, "I just wish that my parents were as accepting."

Danny said, "I feel like there is a huge weight off my back now. My mom was pretty upset that I didn't tell them, but with the whole, capturing, and dissecting ghosts talk, she understood. There were some experiments though."

Sam blinked and asked, "What kind of experiments?"

Danny noticed this worry, "Mainly to see if I had a heartbeat, or if me being a ghost affected my body in any way, like a physical more than anything else. Though, dad did throw in his own version of experiments."

Tucker asked, "What do you mean?"

Danny snickered as he answered, "Mainly to see if some of the old stuff he read in books actually works. Salt…iron items…basically he wanted to see if there were any items around the house that they might have gotten rid of. We have officially made the guys who wrote "Supernatural" look like fools."

The two humans blinked and imagined someone throwing salt on Danny and him falling to the ground yelling out dramatically. They couldn't help but laugh.

Tucker sighed and said, "At least you don't have to worry about your parents anymore dude. Though, I have to say…was something wrong with Jazz? She seemed a little bit off."

Sam said, "Yeah, normally she's all positive. She looked…kind of angry."

Danny sighed and said, "Ever since she found out about my powers…Jazz has been pretty distant."

Tucker said, "Yeah, I don't think I need to remind you of what happened during your parent's last anniversary and even worse when he remembered her birthday this year."

Sam said, "She goes full basket case every time even the possibility of her being wrong is brought up. Mainly because whenever they can the teachers give her praise because they think she is some sign that they favorites-playing, grossly negligent dolts."

Tucker said, "Just give her some time, dude. I'm sure that she'll be come back down to Earth."

"I hope so," Danny muttered as the bell rang.

Later that day…

Danny, Tucker, and Sam all entered the Fenton home.

"Mom, Dad," Danny called out, "I'm home."

Maddie was heard yelling, "We're in the lab. Come on down. There's some things we want to show you."

Danny and co went downstairs and were surprised when Maddie, suddenly pushed a large weapon at Danny. Danny transformed on instinct, while Sam and Tucker both stood back.

The weapon beeped and then the sound of it powering up died out.

The Fenton matriarch smiled as she put the weapon down.

"You can thank that sample of ecto energy that you gave us," she said with a smile, "We've programmed all our sensors to ignore your particular ecto-energy signature. Now, we don't have to worry about any of our devices activating around you."

Danny smiled and said, "I'm glad you guys did that. It's a huge weight off my shoulders."

Jack suddenly said, "That's not all. Not only have we added that little feature to our weapons. We added some extra security to the ghost portal."

Jack walked over to a console and placed his hand on a scanner, something Danny knew was not there before. There was a beep and the portal opened.

"Seeing as that ghost was able to use our portal with no problem," Jack explained, "I added a biometric scanner as an extra security measure. Only when our data is added, will we be the only ones able to close and open the ghost portal."

Tucker blinked at this and walked over to the portal and pressed his hand against the scanner. It let out a loud buzz, an indication of his handprint being rejected.

"Nice dad," Danny said, "At least no ghost is going through the portal easily. Though, you might want to close the portal."

Jack laughed out loud and said, "Please. What ghost would be arrogant enough or foolish to enter the Fenton home?"

Danny in a blunt tone declared, "How about a ghost shark that was attached to the fishing line you left me when you were fishing for ghosts?"

Jack blinked at this moment and felt his wife glaring at him. Jack chuckled nervously before reaching for the button to close the portal. As he did Danny's ghost sense went off and he could vaguely hear a motor coming from the ghost zone.

Danny shouted, "Wait, Dad, hold on!"

Jack stopped just as two people shot out of the portal. The first thing everyone noticed was a motorcycle, dark grey in color with three headlights, and a black sticker with a bright green thirteen on it on the side.

Then they noticed the people riding it. They both had their eyes shut when they came through, but now they were looked around in surprise.

The person steering was in his late teens and early twenties by this appearance. As opposed to other ghost, he had pale white skin, short, greasy blond hair, and a matching patch of stubble on his chin. He was dressed up like a biker with a long gray jacket with pushed up sleeves, and white shirt, black pants, and gray boots. They could make out two belts on his waist, one normal and the other studded, a green skull necklace, biker gloves, and gold and green ring on his hand.

The passenger was a girl. She had pale-green white skin, another difference from other ghosts, and shaggy green hair, with red eyes. She wore a black cropped tank top, a red biker jacket and skirt with green tights and fishnets, black high-heeled boots, a purple scarf, and a green pendant.

"We made it…we made it!" the girl squealed as she hugged her fellow rider, saying, "I told you we didn't need that stupid bad luck shadow of yours, Johnny."

The now named Johnny laughed and said, "Yeah, lets ride. Date night suckers! Hah!"

The two then peeled out leaving behind the smell of burned rubber, exhaust, and a tire tread on the floor as he shot up the stairs.

There was a deep silence between the group as they saw the biker duo leave. Jack then immediately shut the portal.

Danny let out a sigh and said, "That was close. I do not want to know what would happen if they wound up getting caught up in the portal. Last thing we need is for one of them to get stuck in the unworld."

Maddie blinked in confusion and asked, "The unworld?"

Danny blinked and said, "I never did tell you about that. When I was dragged into the ghost zone by Skulker, I met a ghost named Shattered Blade. He helped me and he told me some interesting stuff. One of which, was the unworld."

Danny proceeded to explain the unworld to the group of humans, earning interested and terrified looks from them all.

"Wow...," Sam said, "If I had known that the portal had the chance to bring you to a place like that, I wouldn't have convinced you to take a look in the portal."

Tucker shuddered and said, "All that…sounds like a fate worse than death."

Danny nodded and said, "That isn't all. He also gave me some information the ghost zone, that I didn't know existed. It is full of all kinds of creatures, and even has distinct areas in it."

Danny then held out his hand and the book that Shattered had given him appeared.

"Still jealous of that," Tucker mumbled, as he gave the book to Maddie, who gasped and then proceeded to open the book and flip through it quickly.

"Wow," Jack said in awe, "son, is there anything else that you haven't told us?"

Maddie then realized, "Wait…how did you come back home? The ghost portal was shorted out."

Danny held out his hand again and the key-like object appeared in his hand.

Danny answered, "I used this. I used this in a door in what I think was my lair and I was walking out of my room."

Maddie blinked and said, "Danny would you be willing to show us this place."

Danny blinked and said, "Sure, but I don't know if you can survive there. Even if it is my lair, I don't know if it is survivable…or at least not going to mutate you."

Tucker and Sam both sigh in annoyance, they wanted to see the ghost zone now that any danger had passed, for now anyway. However, the knowledge that they could be mutated into some form of monster just by being in the ghost zone kept them from doing so.

Maddie then approached Danny with a headset with a camera and microphone.

"It might be best to keep your hands free," Maddie said, before turning to her husband who was now sitting at a console, and asked, "Do we have a feed, Jack?"

Jack said, "In the green, baby."

Danny nodded as he walked to a closet. He then pulled out the key and pushed it into the keyhole, the hole glowing green for a moment. Danny then turned the key like he was unlocking a door and opened it, revealing the same space that he remembered.

"Cool," he said, "instant portal to my lair."

Danny walked in and loudly asked, "Can you guys hear and see everything?"

"Loud and clear dude," Jack's voice came over the headset, "And you don't need to talk loudly, we can hear you just fine."

Danny nodded and said, "Okay."

Tucker said, "Hey, dude, can you check the TV? I want to see what kind of channels you get."

Danny blinked and asked, "Really Tucker?"

The techno-geek said, "What? I want to see this place for myself when it is safe, and with an eighty-inch plasma TV, it would make for some good entertainment. Imagine, you, me, and Sam playing DOOMED on it. KingTech, YoungHunter, and Chaos tearing the game apart."

Danny smiled to himself at the idea. After they learned Sam was Chaos, the top-ranked player in the game, she helped them become the two team. It had been a bit of a shock to learn that Sam was a skilled gamer, and it had hurt Tucker's pride a bit, but they grew to enjoy it. Just one other thing they all did as friends…that their parents couldn't mess with, especially Sam's since they had no proof.

Danny walked over to the TV and found a remote. He sat down on the couch, immediately finding it comfy. He then flipped through several channels and found that he got a lot of different ones, a lot of them you needed a special package to watch. There was even a connection to movie and show streaming networks.

"Dude, you have everything there," Tucker said in awe before asking, "You aren't stealing cable here are you?"

Danny rolled his eyes at his friend's question.

Danny said, "It looks like we won't be able to play DOOMED though. I'm not seeing a computer or a console.

Suddenly, out of the coffee table, rose a game controller and a laptop formed, a copy of Danny's own laptop. The TV then flashed, and it showed the opening screen for a game console, from what Danny could tell, a PS4…or something else.

"Dude…did you just conjure a computer and a game console with your mind?" Tucker's voice asked, over the headset.

Maddie was heard scribbling as she said, "This is extraordinary, this destroys any premonitions we had about a ghost's lair. Danny, I believe this means that if you want it your lair will create it."

Tucker's daze voice then said, "Dude. You had better hope that you don't lose that key, because if I find it, I am never going to leave your lair. Speaking of which, we need to think of a cool name. Like the Phantom Zone."

Danny ignored his friend as he began firing off different names for Danny's lair. He then made his way to the kitchen and opened the cupboards and fridge to find them empty. Danny blinked in realization. And then began to will something into existence.

Meanwhile Tucker was continuing to find a name for it, "Or the Cave of Phantitude, or the…"

The sudden sound of an oven dinging reaching his eyes.

"What was that?"

The group of humans looked at the screen they were crowded around, and saw Danny reaching into the oven and pulling out a hot and fresh pepperoni pizza…and cheese bread.

Danny let out a laugh and then opened the fridge and pulled out a pan of freshly cooled fudge and a large soda.

"Guys," Danny said, "I don't think I'm ever going to leave here. Though, if I do, I'd probably eat myself to death with unlimited pizza."

As Danny pulled out a slice of the pizza, Sam said, "Easy there, big guy. The last thing we need is you resembling your old man. No offense Mr. Fenton."

The man sighed and said, "Several years of ranch dressing, melted cheese, fudge, and the inability to stick with a diet, has left me unable to feel any real offense."

Danny then pulled out a piece of fudge from the pan and asked, "Hey, dad, do you want me to bring this back. It's chocolate with peanut and almond butter."

Jack drooled at the thought of that and almost said yes when Maddie cut him off saying, "No, Danny. Remember this food was made in the ghost zone. We don't know the effect eating it would have on the human body."

Jack grumbled and said, "Darn it. Instant fudge and I can't even enjoy it."

Maddie smooched her husband's cheek and said, "Don't worry sweetie. I'll make us some fudge tonight."

The man immediately brightened up.

Maddie smiled at the smile returning to her husband's face and asked, "Danny could you check out the back room down the hall. I think we've gotten enough information from here."

She then grimaced at a noise and added, "Could you also cover the mic while you chew? We don't need to hear that."

Danny quickly apologized before willing a plate to appear and set it down. Danny then made his way across the room and down the long hall and reached the door. Danny then opened it and entered. As he left, he didn't hear his lair's main door opening.

In the room, Danny blinked in confusion. There was nothing here. The only thing that he could find was a floor. He walked across it and the sounds of his footsteps echoing throughout the void.

"Wow," Danny said, "This is a little freaky."

Tucker said, "I'm suddenly getting DBZ flashbacks. It looks like the hyperbolic time chamber or something."

Sam said, "I have no idea what that is."

Maddie and Jack both agreed with her.

Tucker explained, "Long story short, a plot device that could have been used earlier in the story. Essentially, time moved faster there than it did in the world outside. Essentially. One year in there, one day outside. Though…I hope that isn't the case because if Danny is alone in there for a long time, he might go stir crazy."

Danny said, "Okay, there better be something here than just an empty void."

For some reason, the word void echoed more than his other words.

Danny blinked and said, "Void."

Again, the exaggerated echo.

"Okay, I think I'm going to…not use that word while I'm here," Danny said, "this place is creeping me out more than the ghost zone did when I first saw it."

As asked, "What the heck is with that place. When I saw that room, I thought it was going to be like a bedroom or something."

Danny said, "Yeah, honestly I was expecting like a game room with pool and table hockey or something."

As soon as Danny finished that statement, a pool table and a table hockey table appeared in front of him.

"Where did that come from?" Tucker asked, as he saw the objects appear, "It's just like the kitchen."

Danny blinked and then he began to focus on things like random objects. He began to imagine dummies, a bed, a nightstand, a bathtub with a towel rack, and several other random objects. Danny, however, quickly realized that this wasn't like the other room. He tried to imagine up some food and a movie screen, but it didn't happen.

Danny said, "I think I get it. This place provides me with objects. The kitchen given me food, and the living room gives me entertainment, and this room…gives me everything else."

Tucker said, "Wow…wait, can you take things out of the room? Or does it disappear when you leave it?"

Danny blinked at the thought of that. He quickly willed the other stuff away, and then imagined up a box. He then proceeded to walk out the door. He looked down and saw the box was still there.

"Answers that," Danny said, "It looks like I can create what I think up of anything while I am here. Hey mom, I it looks like you might not have to buy me clothes anymore. I can just think them up."

Sam suddenly asked, "You think that might count as counterfeiting?"

Danny smirked as he imagined in an apple. However, nothing happened. He began to focus on other kinds of food, but he couldn't bring them out. Danny thought about a kitchen, but nothing happened.

"I think I get it," Danny said, "Hey guys I think this is a multi-use room. The living room and kitchen give me entertainment and food, this room gives everything else."

To showcase his theory, Danny imagined his room, and the blank room transformed into it an exact copy of his bedroom. Danny then smirked as he imagined it, like the big fancy room that he had stayed in when he had stayed at Vlad's place.

Maddie asked, "Hey, Danny do you think you can bring a sample of something created from your lair back home. I want to have it analyzed."

Danny nodded and formed a simple coffee mug with the words, "Do not use! That means you, Dad," written on it. This earned series of snickers and a set of rolled eyes.

"Oh, ha ha, very funny," Jack mumbled.

Danny walked out of the room, only for the mug to fade out into dust.

"Well, mom," Danny said, "It looks like that you aren't getting that sample without coming here yourself."

Maddie snapped her fingers and said, "Darn it. Well, it looks like we might be focusing more on those new hazmat suits then we originally thought."

Sam then noticed something and said, "Uh, Danny…was that there when you went into the room?"

Danny blinked in confusion and realized what Sam was talking about. Danny saw an object wrapped in cloth with a note on top, and that a slice of his pizza was now missing.

Danny approached the object and picked the note up, seeing it had the picture of a sword broken in two.

"A broken sword?" Tucker asked aloud as he saw the picture, "You think it might be from Shattered Blade?"

Danny blinked and said, "It's possible."

Danny opened the note and ready it aloud.

"Dear Danny, consider this a lair warming gift. I made these using the rods that Skulker used against you. I have a feeling you may need these sooner rather than later. Just make sure that they don't wind up in your back again. From, Shattered Blade. P.S. I helped myself to a slice of pizza, I hope you don't mind. P.S.S. These two are best used together, and if you happen to come across anymore parts of the ghost zone's monstrous mutants, I'd be happy to make you a new toy."

Danny blinked in surprise of learning this.

Maddie suddenly asked, "Danny, what did he mean by that? And maybe you should consider locking your door if anyone in the ghost zone can open it."

Sam simply said, "Shattered Blade. You think he might be a Goth?"

Danny answered, "Sam, he's been around for centuries. I think that he might predate the Goth era."

Danny then reached for the bundle and unwrapped the cloth. Danny blinked in shock at what he saw.

Laying before him, were two short swords. Each measuring about twenty inches in length, blades were smooth and ended in a point. Though they looked about the same size, they were clearly designed differently.

The first sword's blade was black and had a pattern on it like scales, like a snake and there was an amber-colored fang in the center of it. The handle looked like it was formed into a grip, to make it easily grabbable, much like a tactical knife. Decorating the bottom of the handle, was a snake head, a cobra to be precise, which its mouth wide open, yellow fangs gleaming, and red eyes glowing. A small trigger was visible on the weapon where Danny's pointer finger would be.

The second sword's blade was dark green with a dark purple etching of a peacock feather, though Danny could make out some lines on the blade, like it was segmented. The handle, like the first blade, was formed into a grip. Though, there was no head decorating the bottom of the handle.

Danny examined the weapons moving them slightly with his hands to test their weight.

"Wow…" Danny said as he examined them. The two weapons felt right in his hands.

"Danny," Maddie asked, suddenly, "what did he mean when he said he pulled them out of your back young man?"

Danny blinked trying to come up with an answer, but he was alerted to the sound of someone yelling, "There you are."

Danny sighed and said, "Saved by the sister."

Back in the Fenton lab, the eldest child of the Fenton's walked in and said, "Mom, Dad, we need to talk."

Jack looked at his biological daughter and asked, "What do you need to talk about, Jazzerincess?"

Rolling her eyes at the old nickname he gave her she looked at Tucker and Sam and said, "Can you two leave. This is a private matter?"

Sam scowled at Jazz, her attitude the past couple of days really starting to wear thin on the girl.

The goth crossed her arms and said, "Anything you have to say about Danny ca be said in front of us."

Tucker confirmed with Sam, backing her up.

Jazz just rolled her eyes and said, "Fine."

She then looked at her parents and said, "I want to know when you are going to get rid of Danny's powers."

"What?!" came the shout of everyone in the room.

In his lair, Danny's eyes widened in shock. He continued to listen.

Jazz simply crossed her arms and asked, "Well? When are you going to get rid of his powers so he can stop this superhero nonsense?"

Maddie having finally come down from her shocked stupor asked, "Jazz, we can't do that."

Jazz asked, "Well, why not? You have that ghost catcher thing, don't you? Just toss him through it and blast that ghost half of his molecule by molecule, just like you've always said you'd do? It's just a piece of post-human consciousness."

Maddie and Jack both flinched at what Jazz said. The reminder of how they had acted towards anything that was remotely supernatural, was apparently coming back to bite them. It was only a reminder of what they had acted like, and how they were fearful Danny had been to tell them.

Jack walked up to his daughter and said, "Jazz, you know we can't just separate Danny's human and ghost halves. We have no idea what that would do to him. For all we know, his ghost half could be completely without humanity!"

Jazz simply stated, "Then you can just rip it apart. Maybe with that freak gone, I can finally get back on track."

Sam shouted, "Freak?!"

In his lair, Danny was almost in tears at his sister's words.

Jazz said, "Yeah, freak. It's no wonder you like him so much. He' belongs with you, the opinion-obsessed gothic vegan and the perverted, playboy-wannabe, techno-geek."

Both teens stepped back, insulted, and angry.

"Jasmine!" Maddie shouted to her daughter, who simply scoffed.

"Oh, please," she said, "someone has to the adult around her, and instead of geeking out over Danny's abilities we should be getting rid of them so we don't have to worry about the town turning on us."

Sam blinked and said, "Oh, I get it. You just want Danny to lose his powers so he can be normal. Like you want your family to be."

Jazz said, "Oh, I'm not about to be lectured on something from the girl who tried to make the students eat grass and mud."

Sam said, "Hey, I realize I went way too far with that menu."

Tucker said, "And I should point out, the only reason the teachers even did that was so they could hog all the good food to themselves and feed us slop. Of course, these are the same teachers who make sure that Dash gets keeps out of trouble, so we shouldn't be that surprised."

Jazz said, "Hey, don't lump the teachers in with Dash's crowd."

Tucker cut her off saying, "Why? Because they kiss your butt and made you think you're a prodigy? Jazz, you may be smart, but that doesn't mean that you're infallible."

Jazz scowled at her intelligence and skill being brought into question. Deciding to her psychological skills to use.

The girl scowled and said, "Oh, that is a big word coming from the narcissist, meat obsessed geek overcompensating for a lack of social life by flirting with almost everything with a pair of breasts, and filling the lonely void in his life with technology?"

Tucker flinched at the blow to him. Jazz then turned towards Sam, who no doubt encouraged Danny to go down this path that lead to him getting his powers.

She then turned to Sam and said, "And Don't even think you can defend him. You are a hypocrite, who is so obsessed with being seen as an individual to the point of making up a fake, and pretentious name for being vegan, and then tries to shove those beliefs down everyone's throat, in some poor attempt to make a point, and tried to release a freaking gorilla in the city."

Sam scowled at Jazz brought out two of her biggest mistakes, the latter of which had almost gotten her arrested if it wasn't for her parents.

"Jasmine!" Maddie shouted angrily at her daughter, clearing attempting to be hurtful.

Jazz then turned towards her mother and said, "You know how people react to something unusual. They'll have Danny hauled off to some lab and picked apart like a lab rat, if they found out."

Maddie scowled and said, "Do you know why those little tricks of yours never worked on me young lady?"

Jazz took a step back at her mother's words.

The Fenton matriarch continued, "You aren't the only one in this room who's taken a psychology class. If you think that maternal feelings are going to have any real effect on me, you are wrong. Danny has nothing to fear from the government, as he has really broken any laws…maybe vigilantism with going around and stopping ghosts. And as I've said, we have no idea what separating his human and ghost halves would do."

Sam suddenly said, "Besides you're one to talk about being a freak. You act like ghosts existing is a bad thing, seeing as it means your parents aren't crazy. As for the normal you want it is all bull."

Tucker said, "Sam's parents act like they live in a fantasy world where everything is bright and beautiful and look like they took a DeLorean to the 1950s and brought an entire clothing store. As for my parents, they love meat as much as I do, and they have no problem with my technology. For a supposed smart girl, and the adult in the family. You are acting really immaturely."

Jack said, "I have to agree with them on this one, princess."

Jazz scowled and said, "Oh, I'm being unreasonable. You are the ones clinging to something doesn't even…"

Jazz was cut off from her "Ghosts don't exist, despite the obvious evidence in front of me" tirade, Sam cut her off.

"Oh, will you just stop? I've known you almost as long as Danny has. This isn't you being concerned this is you being wrong. You were wrong about the existence of ghosts. Swallow your pride, see beyond that fat head, and just accept it already."

At having herself being challenged, Jazz finally snapped. The aggression she'd been suppressing over the last few days finally coming out.

"No!" shouted, "I refuse to accept it. I have a future as a surgeon or doctor. I have a life ahead of me and I refuse to be brought down by having their crazy following me! I will not have my future ruined by my crazy mother, my crazy, clumsy doofus of a father, and that…that freakish monster of a bastard child that they found on our doorstep!"

There was a resounding silence as the entire room stepped back from the ranting red head. However, a small gasp and the sound of something being dropped sounded over the monitor.

Maddie and Jack's eyes both widened in horror as they turned towards the monitor, realizing that Danny had likely heard everything…including that last remark.

Sam and Tucker both looked shocked. Danny was adopted by the Fenton's.

It was silent for a few minutes, before the sound of footsteps reached their ears. Danny walked down the stairs. He stood there for a few moments, not looking all there.

"Danny?" Maddie asked, breaking the silence, "Sweetie?"

Danny looked up at his mother…his adopted mother and asked, "Mom…tell me…tell me that this is a lie. Tell me that this is just some twisted idea of a mind game from her."

There was a hint of desperation in Danny's voice that everyone noticed. Something Jazz took a notice of and allowed a cruel smile to spread on her face. The source of her ire was upset, and she was going to capitalize.

"It's true Danny," she said as she approached the boy, "You were found on our doorstep one rainy night. The only thing they left you was a note and some old piece of jewelry."

Maddie shouted, "Jasmine, that's enough."

However, Jasmine continued, "Of course, given you're record I shouldn't be surprised. They might have known what kind of freak you would turn into later in life. That or they just weren't competent enough to be parents."

Tears were beginning to leak out of Danny's eyes as Jazz continued to twist the knife. Jazz was once again using her psychology tactic, using Danny's emotions to make him do what she wanted. Unfortunately, for her, she did not notice that Danny's were starting to clench into fists.

"Though," she said, "if they saw you now, they'd probably react a lot differently than mom and dad. Of course, who would want a…"

Jazz was cut off from her manipulative, cruel rant when something happened. The sound of flesh on flesh contact followed by a ringing in her ears. Her sense of superiority and slightly sadistic glee was replaced with a flaring pain through her face, followed by numbness and a sense of weightlessness. The weightlessness came crashing down as Jazz felt pain flash through her back as she crashed into the wall, a large red mark on her cheek.

Jazz was going in and out of consciousness. She looked up and saw Danny's eye glowing green, his fist raised and extended, and a dark look on his face.

'He…he…hit…me…'

With that last thought. Jazz passed out against the wall. Danny was breathing heavily and growling. He looked at his unconscious sister, a sense of grim satisfaction followed by guilt ran through him. In a flash of light, Danny transformed into his ghost mode and flew out of the ceiling.

"Danny!" Maddie yelled as her son flew away.

Maddie turned and gave Jazz a disappointed and angry look before saying, "Jack, make sure Jazz doesn't have a concussion. I'm going after Danny. Sam, Tucker, do you have any idea where Danny might go?"

Sam said, "Sorry, but I don't know where he would go if he was told some bad news like this. It might be better to track him at this point."

Tucker said, "Yeah. I just hope he doesn't do anything reckless. I mean, yeah, he did punch Jazz, but with what she was saying, I think she had it coming."

As they talked, and Maddie ran out to the FFGAV, Jack was checking his daughter for injuries, other than some soreness in her face and back, she didn't appear to have a concussion or internal bleeding.

'Great,' he thought, picking his daughter gently from the floor, and heading upstairs, 'It looks like history is repeating itself.'

Meanwhile…

Danny flew. He flew and flew fast. He was angry. He was confused. Everything had thought he knew was a lie. Danny finally flew far enough and realized that he was in a part of town he didn't recognize. He let out a breath and flew down to a nearby roof that didn't have an access door on it. A good place to be alone, he hoped. He flew down and transformed back and sat down.

Danny let out a sigh as he tried to get his brain to cool down. Between Jazz's insults and the dropped bomb that was his adoption was currently going wild in his skull. He tried to focus his brain, but all his thoughts were a jumbled mess to the point he didn't realize that he had company.

"You okay down there, kiddo?"

Danny looked up to see Lilith floating above him.

"What are you doing here?" Danny asked, surprised at sight of the woman.

Lilith said, "It was a clear night and I decided to go flying tonight. Nothing like a full moon to get your attention, but I found you here instead. Call it a woman's intuition, but you seem like you are going through some tough stuff right now. What has got you down in the dumps, spooky?"

Danny sighed and said, "You wouldn't understand."

Lilith took a spot on the fountain and look him the eye and declared, "Try me?"

Danny sighed and explained the whole adoption thing. The entire time, Lilith was listening patiently.

"Now…" Danny sighed and said, "I feel like I don't know what to do. I feel like everything I ever knew was a lie. A part of me feels like I'm not even me anymore."

Lilith said, "I can actually understand what you are talking about."

She looked at him for a moment.

"Many years ago. My family I lived in the demon world, Makai. Suddenly, my father, Belial, had to leave home for a while, something about a crisis. Anyway, my big sis was left alone and in charge of the family. Unfortunately, there was a problem. She was way too powerful, so much so that if she were left to her own devices, she would destroy herself. To keep her from destroying her and split some of the power from her."

Danny blinked in confusion, wondering what this had to do with his story.

Lilith continued, "Now, when father died, the power was supposed to return to big sis, but the power began to have a will of its own."

Danny looked confused until he saw the familiarity in her eyes and said, "Wait…you mean…you?"

Lilith nodded and said, "Then some maniac gave me by body in some attempt for salvation. To control me he told me that Morrigan had stolen my rightful place as the head of the family. It turns out he wanted me to kill her. After we fought, Morrigan embraced me and brought me in as her sister, revealing the lies that that bastard Jedah told me."

Danny began to feel bad for the girl. Everything she was told was a lie and she was manipulated by some punk.

Lilith then continued, "After I found out what I was, I was completely lost. I felt like I was just some doll that someone just wanted to throw away and then be picked up by someone worse. However, it turns out Morrigan had a bit of a soft spot. She let me into her home, knowing what I was. She was actually a little excited to become a big sister."

Danny sighed as he realized Lilith had ended her story and said, "I guess you do relate."

Lilith smiled and leaned close smiling as she said, "There's that grin I like to see. All I can tell you about what you're thinking, is that you know who Danny Fenton is…a change in heritage isn't going to change that."

Danny nodded and said, "Yeah, but what about them? Why did they abandon me?"

Lilith said, "I can't say for sure. I'm not them, nor can I see into the past. My only advice for that is that if you find them you confront them. Get the answers right from them."

Danny smiled and said, "I will and thanks."

Lily smiled and said, "No problem. Though, to be honest, I'm kind of disappointed."

Danny blinked in surprise as she said that and asked, "Why?"

Lilith smirked flirtatiously as she said, "I was honestly hoping that I would get to use plan B to cheer you up."

Danny blinked and asked, "What was plan B? Ice cream?"

Lilith smirked before she leaned over towards Danny cupped his cheek with her hand and pulled him in close.

"I was thinking something…sweeter."

With that, Lilith kissed Danny. The boy looked surprised at the sudden lip lock. However, the kiss was only a few seconds long as Lilith quickly broke it.

Danny was blushing furiously as he stuttered, "W-What was that for?"

Lilith said, "Well…who doesn't like a kiss from a beautiful woman? Seemed like a surefire way to break someone out of a case of the grumps."

Danny blushed as she wasn't entirely wrong. The kiss was nice, even if it was out of nowhere.

The girl then spread her wings and flew off saying, "Later, spooky. And for the record…you're a good kisser."

Danny's face flushed even more as she said this. Danny felt a bit better as he then walked to the edge of the building. He looked down and saw the FFGAV driving through the streets, most likely one of his parents, his mother, if the controlled driving was anything to go by. Danny took his ghost form and flew down to the vehicle.

Danny flew in through the roof and landed in the front passenger seat.

Maddie was currently fiddling with the devices on the dashboard muttering, "Why did we have to make Danny invisible to the sensors. It looks like we shouldn't have done that with the FFGAV's radar. Where are you sweetie?"

Danny then suddenly turned visible and said, "Right here!"

Maddie jumped slightly letting out a scream. The woman jumping caused the vehicle swerved earning some honked horns and some colorful shouts from drivers. Luckily, the police weren't around otherwise they would have been pulled over.

Maddie panted getting her heartrate back under control. However, she gave Danny a small glare from his actions.

Danny chuckled lamely and said, "Yeah, that was a bad call wasn't it?"

Maddie simply sighed before giving Danny a one-armed hug and said, "I'm just glad that your safe honey."

Danny sighed and said, "Yeah. I'm just kind of confused. And I have a distinct feeling I might not be able to look Jazz in the eye again. "

A dark look came over Maddie's face as she said, "Oh…she is going to get it when she wakes up."

Danny sighed as he said, "Were you and dad ever going to tell me that I was adopted?"

Maddie sighed and said, "We were. We just didn't know when. Hell, we didn't even know how. How do you drop that kind of bomb on someone? Though you will have to apologize for hitting her. Even if what she said was out of line, you shouldn't have lashed out like that."

Danny said, "Probably with a lot more tact than what Jazz used."

Maddie said, "You know Danny, they didn't just abandon you, you know."

As they drove back, Maddie explained about the letter and how his parents had asked them to look after him due to enemies that they may have had. One that had fueled Jack's belief that they may have been in witness protection. There was also the fact that they made sure that Danny would be looked after due to the short list they mentioned, as well as the cards they sent, both for Danny and their research. She even mentioned how they were threatened by them if they found out that one hair was out of place on Danny's head due to their own actions. It made Danny feel a little better knowing that his parents were at least made sure that he would be cared for.

The rest of the drive was silent, until they arrived at Fenton Works. As soon as they came in the door, Sam, and Tucker both swarmed Danny, asking if he was okay.

"Are you okay, dude?" Tucker asked, "You seemed pretty upset when you flew off."

Sam said, "Yeah, never thought I'd see you lash out like that."

Danny said, "I'm fine really. I just…emotions were running high. I feel better now really."

Jack sighed from his position on the couch and said, "I guess we have a lot of explaining to do, huh?"

Before the conversation could continue, the sound of a knock on the door broke everyone apart.

"Are we expecting anyone?" Danny asked, with a raised eyebrow.

"No," Jack said.

Maddie answered the door and opened it. Instead of someone there, it was a package left on the porch, it was a small one about the size of an iPad and it was marked for Danny.

Jack asked, "Are you expecting a package son?"

Danny blinked and shook his head in the negative. Danny reluctantly and carefully opened the package, tearing away the paper to reveal a sleek looking iPad.

"Tucker," Danny said, "do you think you can scan this?"

Tucker nodded and pulled out Aelita. He pressed a few icons on it.

"When could his PDA do that?" Maddie asked.

Sam explained, "Tucker's PDA upgraded itself when it got exposed a huge amount of ecto-energy from a fight with Technus, that ghost Danny fought. After that it upgraded and even allowed us to take him down."

Jack stared at the enhanced PDA with wide eyes and asked, "Do you think he would let us examine it?"

Tucker looked up from his work and said, "If it involves taking Aelita apart, no chance in hell Mr. Fenton…all due respect."

Aelita beeped and Tucker said, "No explosives and no ecto-energy. This just seems to be a normal iPad. If you don't want it Danny, I'll take it."

Danny said, "Sorry, Tuck. But we don't know what would happen if someone other than me used it."

Danny picked up the device and turned it on, ready to move at a moment's notice if something went wrong. The screen remained blank, but then started to blink in the center. Danny could see faint words on the screen, and he read it aloud.

"Say cheese?"

Suddenly the screen flashed, and a grid appeared on Danny's face.

"Match. Danny Fenton."

Danny let out a surprised yell as he dropped the device. then a small rod rose out of the device and a beam was scanned the entire room.

"Match. Jack Fenton. Madeline Fenton. Tucker Foley. Samantha Manson. Room is secure. Commencing message."

The screen flashed blue and an image of a line appeared, then it began to distort a voice on the other end spoke.

"Mr. and Mrs. Fenton. Young Daniel. Ms. Manson, and Ms. Foley. You do not know me…but I know you. Who am I? For now, you may call me Oz."

Believing the device was not a threat, Danny picked it up.

"I shall get right to brass tacks. We know about your "extracurricular activities" Daniel," the voice said as it showed images of Danny fighting the Lunch Lady, Technus, and the occasional animal ghost.

Oz continued, "Do not worry. We have no reason to attack you as you have stopped multiple threats to human life. The truth, Mr. Fenton, is that there are things that go bump in the night, and they are far worse than simple ghosts. We…bump back."

Jack's eyes widened as he said in awe, "The Guys in White…they really exist?"

Maddie, just as shocked, said, "The secret organization that the government uses to monitor paranormal activity?"

Oz then declared, "For the record, Mr. and Mrs. Fenton, I can hear you. And that is just one of many names that we have taken over the years. The Guys in White, the Men in Black…MERF. We have had a long list of names over the years. We wish to extend to you our help. No doubt you are going to attract a fair bit of attention, especially with your heroics. You may keep this pad if you wish or destroy it. It holds no consequence to us. Have a good night, Mr. Fenton."

With that, the device stopped and showed an image. It was of two axes crossed in an ax shape with a green wreath forming a circle around it. Then it went dead.

The Fenton family and plus two looked at each other in shock. Having trouble wrapping their heads around what had just happened. The world had just gotten a lot bigger.

Cut! Okay here we go. I'm sorry this took so long to get out. As soon as the quarantine went down personal issues got in the way of me writing and the well of inspiration had temporarily gone dry. Honestly, I'm not to happy with this chapter. I feel like I could have done better with Jazz given her change in attitude going to hating Danny after learning of his powers. Jazz was known in the series for using psychology to manipulate her parents, however, this time it severely backfired as having her own method turned on her by Sam and Tucker, and in frustration venting and revealing Danny's adoption. The bit with Lilith was mainly for some bonding between the characters and the kiss was just for fun. As for the last bit, the secret supernatural organization reveals itself…somewhat. However, they are far more competent and less annoying than the other version.

Now, this is considered over, but it is far from done. In typical movie style, here is a bit of a teaser for the next part.
