5 hours later
We're currently on Tracy one and have been in the air for 5 ish hours. Both Grandma and Jax fell asleep not too long ago so they'll most likely be asleep for the majority of the flight. Jax is stretched out on the couch with a blanket over her and Gordans hoodie rolled up under her head. Grandma is curled up on one of the other chairs with her head resting against the window and a blanket over her. John is typing away on his laptop with headphones on. I'm supposed to be getting some sleep so I can take over as pilot soon, but I just can't seem to sleep.
Knowing I wasn't going to get any sleep, I got up and went to the cockpit. As I sat down in the co-pilot seat, dad said
"You should be sleeping"
"I can't seem to relax" he glanced at me briefly before saying
"What's on your mind?"
"Jax"
"What about her?" I felt tears spring to my eyes as I replied
"She could have died, Dad. We were this close to loosing her"
"But we didn't"
"I know and I keep telling myself that, it's just…" I glanced behind and looked at Jax, she was still sound asleep. I then continued
"We lost Mom, we almost lost Gordo to the hydrofoil accident, last year Jax was almost left on her own… I don't know how much more this family can take"

17:00 PM- Jeff P. O. V.
"Hey Dad, we're approaching Tracy Island"
"FAB Scott" mother sat up straighter in her chair and did up her belt. John closed his laptop and sat up in his chair. I then put my book down and went over to the couch. I crouched down next to it before gently shaking Jaxsons shoulder
"Time to wake up, Baby Girl"she mumbled in return
"5 more minutes" I smiled and said
"Sorry sweetie, no can do. We're almost home" she then opened her eyes and said
"How long have I been out?" This time John spoke
"You've been out for most of the flight, how are you feeling?"she sat up and said
"Like crap" I sat next to her and said
"Define, like crap?"
"I'm cold, i'm tired, my head hurts, everything aches"
I then placed my hand on her forehead and said
"You feel a bit warm, it may just be because you're overdue for your meds or something else. We'll get Virgil to check you out when we get home just to be safe" she nodded and yawned before leaning against my side. I then asked
"Where are your meds?"
"Johnny has them" within seconds of saying that, John pulled the pill bottle out of his bag along with a bottle of water. He then handed Jaxson two pills which she took graciously.
10 minutes later Scott effortlessly landed back on the island. He then came out of the cockpit and said
"Well, we're home and it looks like we've got a welcome party" he then took one look at Jax and said
"Hey, is everything okay?" I looked up at him and said
"She's just running a bit of a temperature but it's already coming down since she took her medication. I'm going to ask Virgil to run some tests just to rule any infections out" Jax then sat up and said
"I'm right here, please stop refer to me as she" I gently placed a hand in her hair and said
"Sorry honey. Let's go see your brothers I bet they're dying to see you"
So after a short reunion with my brothers, Virgil took me down to the infirmary. Dad wanted to join but I told him I'd be fine so he checked on reports from the last couple of months. Whilst down in the infirmary Virg took my temp and then began checking over my other healing injuries. Currently, he's holding my hand and said
"So hows your hand feeling, any numbness, itchiness, irritati…" I cut him off and said
"Virgy, itchiness is normal. No irritation"
"Numbness?"
"Doctor Mills said that a couple of the nerves may have permanent damage. She won't know until the cast comes off and I start physio"
"Okay, just let me know if it starts hurting" i gently took my hand back and said
"Virgil look at me" reluctantly he looked up as i continued
"I'm okay. I'll be fine. It's just going to take time. You, Dad, Johnny, Scotty, you just need to take a step back and let me come to terms with what happened. I'm not a kid anymore Virg" he gave me a small smile and said
"Biologically you're not a kid but no matter how old we get, you jaxson Tracy will always, always be little tracy, you will always be my kid sister"
"I love you" he kissed my cheek and pulled me into a hug
"Love you too, kid"
We were then soon called for dinner…
One by one we sat down at the table but Scott didn't budge from his spot staring out the window. He's been there basically since we got back. We just thought he was missing Kat but this is something else. As I took my place, I said
"Hey Scooter, are you going to join us or what?" He didn't even flinch. Dad then said
"Scott come sit down" again no reaction.
"Scott!"
This time Scott did turn around but he had worry written all across his face. He then took a deep breath and said
"Katerina is pregnant" Dad nearly spat out his drink as everyone turned to look at him. He stepped away from the window and said
"And I asked her to marry me. She said yes" Dad then got up and walked out of the room saying
"My office, now!" I've heard that tone before, Scott is about to get the lecture of a lifetime. Scott slowly followed Dad out of the room, I've never seen Scott like this.
With Scott out of ear shot I said
"Is he okay? I've never seen him like that" Gordan then said
"Who? Dad or Scott?"
"Scott. I've been on the receiving end of Dad's anger too many times to know by his tone of voice that Scott is in for the lecture of a lifetime" Virgil then said
"Dad made it very clear to all of us of how we should do stuff. Dating, marriage, then...you know, and then we have a family. Scott and Kat have only been together for what, a month" Alan then took over
"Yeah but they've known each other for ages. They were in the air force together and from what i've seen and heard they were close back then too, like really close" John then said
"He did say she was the one that got away…" he then gripped Connors hand whilst saying
"When you meet that one person who you want to spend the rest of your life with, you just know" Grandma then said
"You are all missing the obvious" we all turned to look at her as she said
"How is Scott going to explain International Rescue to Katerina?" I then muttered
"Damn, I never thought of that"
4 hours later I was sitting in my room catching up with stuff I've missed since I've been away. I caught up with the news whilst we were at grandmas, so now i'm catching up with my social media pages. Neither Dad or Scott have been seen since Dinner, we know that whatever they were talking about was over as Grandma took Dad some food a little while ago. But Scott, no one has seen him.
I'm currently reading through my school social media page, my laptop is in front of me and Shelbey is curled up next to me. There was then a knock at my door. Without looking up I said
"Come in" I then looked up as the door slid open and Dad stepped in. I closed my laptop as he sat down on the edge of my bed, I then said
"Hey, everything okay?" he gave me a small smile before saying
"As good as it can be…" I crossed my legs as he continued
"Can you do me a favour?"
"Yeah"
"Can you go check on Scott? I'd send one of your brothers but I honestly think, right now, they are last people he wants to see" I dropped my eyes and said
"I take it the talk didn't go so well"
"Everything that was needed to say was said"
"I'll go talk to him"
"You're going to have to find him first" I smiled and said
"I know all the good hiding spots on this island"
