BGM: Eclipse of the World (Guitar Version) - Hyrule Warriors
Team RWBY stands in the center of the city square with Aris, all of them facing outward, standing in a circle. They eye up the Grimm with a steely rage.
The Grimm attack. Team RWBY and Aris retaliate.
Ruby drives Crescent Rose into the ground and starts spinning by its grip, kicking down several Beowolves in the process. Aris jumps at a Creep and strikes it with the Master Sword, jumping back high into the air and firing beams from the sword at the Beowolves and Ursai in the immediate area. He's knocked to the ground by a trio of Nevermores.
Blake starts lighting up the Grimm with Gambol Shroud, transforming the weapon into its gun form and pumping the monsters full of bullets. Yang uses her strength to pick up a car and hurl it at some Grimm.
Ruby and Aris face the King Taijitu together. The large snake Grimm screeches at them.
From the distance, a whoop.
Nora Valkyrie is sailing through the air on her hammer, Magnhild. "Nora...SMASH!" she exclaims as she slams the weapon into the King Taijitu's head. She lands on the ground with the rest of team JNPR. "Let's move!" says Pyrrha Nikos.
BGM: You Will Know Our Names - Xenoblade Chronicles
A Beowolf pounces at them, only to be knocked away by a figure dressed in red and blue. Perci Parker has arrived on the scene, swinging from a web and driving her foot into the side of the Beowolf's face.
Using his Persona semblance, Takashi flies into battle and begins lighting up the Creeps and Ursai with Phantom and Royal's shotgun form. Raylo arrives, ignites Skywalker, and throws it, guiding the Dust blade through the air via his levitation Semblance.
Nora smashes an Ursa high into the air with Magnhild, as if the hammer were a golf club. Ren slices up a Creep with his bladed SMG's, named Stormflower.
Jaune is confronted by a massive Ursa Major. "O-Oh?" he says nervously. "Y-You're approaching me?"
Aris and Pyrrha fight together, slamming their respective sword and spear into the bodies of several Creeps. They notice Jaune being approached by the Ursa Major. Aris takes out his bow and loads a Fire Arrow.
Pyrrha holds up an arm. "Hold your fire."
Jaune rears his sword with a battle cry and slashes through the Ursa's body again and again in rapid succession. He stops. The Ursa stands still before falling on its back and fading away.
Pyrrha smiles. Aris redirects his aim on a nearby Beowolf and shoots the Fire Arrow at it, burning the Grimm to ashes.
Two more young men arrive on the scene. It's Sun Wukong and Neptune Vasilias. "Nobody move!" says the monkey Faunus. "Junior detectives!" He holds up a badge.
Neptune raises a badge of his own. "We have these, so you know it's official."
From up above, airships.
BGM: March of the Resistance - Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens
The Atlas air fleet has arrived on the scene, with several smaller airships swarming a much larger one like bees around their hive. The hatches on all of the smaller airships open, and out jumps an army of Atlesian Knight 200's. The white-plated autonomous soldiers begin lighting up the smaller Grimm with their rifles, occasionally getting taken down by a Boarbatusk or something of that nature.
End BGM
Three more Huntsman students arrive: a woman with black hair and a red dress, a girl with dark skin and short green hair, and a young man with spiky gray hair and surprisingly strong legs. The green-haired girl whips out a pair of green guns and pumps several Beowolves full of bullets before turning the guns into sickles and slicing up an Ursa Major.
BGM: "Kickstart My Heart" by Motley Crue
From the rubble of the train collision, a half-destroyed Atlesian Paladin rises, and from behind it jumps a familiar corgi: Zwei. Another airship flies in overhead, and out jump four Beacon students: the second-year team known as CFVY. Coco Adel, Fox Alistar, Velvet Scarlatina, and Yatsuhashi Daichi.
Yatsuhashi drives his massive greatsword into the ground around him, creating a small shockwave that destroys the Ursa Minors that are approaching him. Fox and Velvet fight side by side against a group of Beowolves, using their weapons to destroy the Grimm. Fox impales an Ursa Major with his wrist blades, the ensuing explosion of the Grimm's death causing spines to fly out and impale several Beowolves.
Coco Adel sashays past Fox. "Nice hustle," she says, quickly slapping his rear end. "Good job."
Coco approaches a hulking Alpha Beowolf. She lowers her shades and eyes the Grimm. "Hello. My name is Coco Adel. You destroyed my favorite clothing store. Prepare to die."
Coco whacks away an incoming paw with her handbag before kicking the Alpha Beowolf right between its legs. She follows it up with a powerful slam to the Beowolf's head with her handbag.
Three more Beowolves and a Death Stalker are rushing at Coco. She calmly presses a button on her handbag, which suddenly begins to transform into a large minigun. She readies her firearm and lets loose a hailstorm of bullets, ripping through the Death Stalker and several airborne Nevermores.
End BGM
Professor Port has arrived on the battlefield and stands beside Doctor Oobleck. Port uses his blunderbuss to release a torrent of bullets as Oobleck shoots a myriad of fireballs from his metal bat. The projectiles finish off the rest of the Grimm.
From the skies, a screech.
Aris Atreides looks up to see a shadow looming overhead, and swooping down towards him. He somersaults away just in time. "What?!" Aris exclaims. "What's this thing doing here?!"
Articuno has appeared!
BGM: Battle! Legendary - Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Let's Go Eevee
Aris reaches behind him and takes out a Great Ball. The Hylian throws the red and blue PokeBall, sending out his Fire type, Rapidash. "You know what to do, girl!"
"Dash!" exclaims the Fire type.
Articuno opens with a powerful Ice-type move: Ice Beam. Strong though it is, Ice Beam does virtually no damage to Rapidash, thanks to the glory of type advantages.
"Rapidash, use Flamethrower!" Aris calls out.
Rapidash lowers its head and shoots a jet of bright orange flames from its horn and in the direction of Articuno. The flames engulf the Legendary Flying/Ice type, doing massive amounts of damage. It's super effective!
Flamethrower ends up doing so much damage, in fact, that Articuno nearly faints immediately. The Legendary drops to the ground, almost looking like it's kneeling and panting. Aris snaps his fingers. "Now's my chance!" He takes a different type of PokeBall from his pocket: a Ball with a black and yellow top half. "Ultra Ball, don't fail me now!"
Aris hurls the Ultra Ball at the now-downed Articuno. The Legendary transforms into pure energy and is absorbed into the open Ultra Ball.
The Ball shakes once. Aris stares intently.
It shakes again. Aris feels sweat dripping down his forehead.
The Ball shakes once more. Aris holds his breath, waiting for it to either click closed or for Articuno to reemerge.
The Ultra Ball clicks shut. Articuno has been caught!
End BGM
Aris picks up the Ultra Ball and pockets it. "Welcome aboard, Articuno. You'll make a fine addition to my collection of Pokedex entries."
Speaking of which, Aris removes his Pokedex from his pocket and looks up Articuno, his newest entry. He finds the entry of his newly caught Legendary and begins to read as his teammates, team RWBY, team JNPR, team CFVY, Sun and Neptune, and the three strangers congregate near an Atlas airship to watch Roman Torchwick's arrest. Glynda Goodwitch has finished patching things up via her telekinesis, and Aris reads his new Pokedex entry aloud to his teammates. "Articuno is a legendary bird Pokemon that can control ice," he reads. "The flapping of its wings chills the air. As a result, it is said that the flight of this Pokemon causes snow to fall."
"That sounds pretty impressive," Perci points out. "Articuno must be pretty powerful."
"Pokedex entries make their Pokemon sound like absolute monsters sometimes," Aris says. "For example, Magcargo's body temperature is apparently eighteen thousand degrees Fahrenheit. Hotter than the surface of the sun!"
"Yikes!" says Takashi.
"You said Articuno is an Ice type, right?" Raylo asks.
Aris nods. "Yes."
Raylo smirks. "Then why not give it to Weiss as a gift? She'd love it, I'm sure."
"I don't see why not." Aris shrugs. "I'll give him to her when we return to Beacon."
"Sounds good."
Later, back at Beacon...
"If we don't get extra credit for that," Weiss says to the rest of team RWBY, "I'm going to be really disappointed."
"Weiss, a two-headed snake crushed a bakery," Yang points out. "I wouldn't count on it."
"We still didn't solve everything," Ruby adds. "A lot of people were hurt, and we still have no clue why they did this, or who that mystery woman at the dance was."
"Not every story has a neat and tidy ending," Weiss says.
Someone clears their throat. Team RWBY looks over their shoulders. Raylo Windrider and Aris Atreides are standing there.
"Good evening, gentlemen," Yang says, mimicking a pompous-sounding accent. "To what do we owe the pleasure of your company?"
Raylo nudges Aris. "My friend here has a gift for Weiss."
Weiss perks up. "For me?"
Aris nods. "Yup!"
The Heiress shoots to her feet and runs up to her boyfriend. Aris puts his hands on her shoulders. "Relax," he says. "I'll give it to you."
Aris removes something from his pocket. Weiss doesn't know it, but it's the Ultra Ball containing Aris's newest Pokemon, and his first Legendary. "Remember that Pokemon I caught right at the end of the fight back in Vale?" Aris says.
Weiss nods. "Yeah," she says. "Why?"
"Well..." Aris throws the Ultra Ball, and out pops Articuno. "Weiss Schnee, I am proud to present to you, your very own Pokemon!"
Weiss gasps. "You're just giving it to me?"
"Yup!" Aris smiles. "Articuno here is a Legendary Pokemon, so he's extremely powerful. I figured since he's an Ice type, you'd like him."
Weiss stares at Articuno in awe. The Legendary eyes her in return, almost looking as if it's...smirking. He raises a wing and pulls Weiss to him, as if to hug her.
Weiss startles a little, but returns Articuno's embrace. Aris places Articuno's Ultra Ball in her hands. "Take care of him," says the Hylian.
Weiss nods, pulling away from her new Pokemon and returning the Ice/Flying type to the Ultra Ball. "I'll do the best I can."
"Good." Aris turns to the Legendary. "Articuno, keep Weiss safe for me, okay?"
Articuno nods.
Aris smiles. "Thanks."
"I should be saying that to you," Weiss says. She grabs Aris and reels him to her, giving him a passionate kiss on his cheek.
Aris blushes. "I-I'm gonna head back in now."
Weiss smiles. "You do that. But, before you go..." She plants a quick, but passionate kiss on Aris's lips. "I love you."
Aris smirks. "And I, you."
