Hello all!
sorry for the short chapter but i made this one really funny and dare I say cute.
it shows Cami's soft side.
Chapter 18- "for a boy of course."
(Cami perspective)
(After returning from the cove)
I opened the door to the house and walked in alone.
Hiccup decided to go to the forge and put in some work, and Thuggory went to his hut to "think" as he put it. I'm pretty sure he meant grieve.
I stepped through the doorway
"What'd you do?" Bertha asked looking at me
I was confused I was barely in the door and she already knows something happened
"I'm so sorry mom, I didn't mean to, I didn't think it would hurt anyone." I said thinking about Toothless
"What are you babbling about?" she asked laughing
"It was bound to happen at some point!" she said smirking
It took me a second to catch on to what she was talking about then my eyes widened
"Oh Gods no no no no no! It wasn't anything like that!" I said mortified
"Mmmhhhpphhmm." Bertha said like she didn't believe me
"NO! Ok we kissed. That was all!"
"How many times?" Bertha asked slyly
"Twice." I said slowly in embarrassment
"Ok now here's the ringer. How long did the kiss last?" she asked chuckling
My face immediately flushed beat red!
"HAHAHAHA!" Bertha laughed so hard the house started shaking
"MOM! Stop!" I cried out in embarrassment"
"Your face was all the information I needed!" she laughed
But then she suddenly stopped laughing and turned serious
"But. I don't want any grandkids till you're 25." she said firmly
"Mom. please. Stop."
There was an awkward silence between the two of us… awkward for me anyway.
"How did you know something happened?" I asked
"I saw you and Hiccup and Thuggory run off into the forest after each other. I also saw when you came out with a sparkle in your eyes and Hiccup had a goofy grin on his face and Thuggory seemed uncomfortable." Bertha said chuckling
"Not a word to anyone." I threatened
"Oh Tindra already knows." Bertha said smirking
"So you approve?" I asked slowly
The door opened
"Eager are we?" Tindra said stepping inside
"Haha! Gods no, not yet." Bertha said
"No but do you like him?" I asked
"He's great…" Bertha said
Then she grins and continues
"...For a boy of course."
"Mom that's my thing!" I said annoyed
Tindra just starts laughing
multi-meaning title
meaning 1: Cami's original catch phrase from the books
Meaning 2: For Hiccup Cami would do anything.
