A/N – Thanks for the comments! 1st Guest – If you don't want to read the Sam parts, then just skip them. You don't have to tell me you don't like it. I'm not changing my story because you are bent out of shape over a few chapters. I had to spend days watching videos of this crap and I did condense it. * Mary – Thanks, I think. Lol. Last Guest – Thanks for the comments!
Leasmom – Jason found out Jake was alive in chapter 14&15. Jason has only been home for a couple of days so hasn't talked to a lot of people. Jeez. Neither Sonny nor Carly would even be around Jake to know anything. Let him run into someone who can give him answers. It's not some conspiracy.
Chapter 18
Carly moved in front of Patient 6's cell.
"You need to please temporary insanity."
"No."
"Don't you want to get out of here?"
"Carly…"
"I understand that you hate him, but he isn't an immediate threat. You need to get out of here."
"How is Sam?"
Carly sighed. "I am going to go check on her after I leave."
"I think you should leave her alone. She has enough pressure on her."
"We became more friendly while you were gone. Grief does funny things."
"She loves him."
"She fought for him for several years and he didn't budge until after Alana was born. The reason she was so pigheaded was that she thought he was you."
"He'll fight for her and I don't want to put her through that."
"Let's deal with one thing at a time. Sonny will pay the bail and we'll get you out."
"Thanks."
"I've been shopping for you already."
His eyes grew wide making her chuckle.
"I bought you some new clothes."
He gulped and she cracked up. God, she has missed his expressions.

Johnny's phone buzzed.
"Hello?" He can hear heavy breathing.
"It's Jake."
Johnny sucked in a breath. "What's wrong?" He could hear gunfire. "Where are you?"
"Compound. I'm unarmed and Max pushed me into a room and told me to hide. I'm in the closet." He feels like a coward. "I think they took them."
Johnny cursed under his breath. "Do not move. I'll be right there."
Liz chased after him. "Is it Jake?"
Johnny swung open the door. "Salvatore made his move. Get in the panic room, now!"
Francis swung into action, giving another guard some instructions.
Liz's eyes pricked with tears. "Bring my baby back alive, Johnny."
"I will."
He got in and Francis joined him, leaving a guard name Marcus with her.
"Come with me. Joey is taking Aidan to a safe house."
"Okay."

A guard pushed Klein into a chair.
"What do you think you're doing? I'm a free man."
"I know. Who do you think paid your bail?"
Sonny strolled into the room.
"You're—"
"Sonny Corinthos and you're Dr. Klein." He glanced at the guards standing near the door. "You can go now."
They left and Sonny moved closer.
"I don't want any trouble."
"You already found it when you kept my friend hostage and drugged him to control him."
"It wasn't personal, Mr. Corinthos. I know you are powerful. If you came to me to hold someone hostage that was your enemy and you paid me to keep him alive but sedated, would it be acceptable for me to defy you?"
"You have a point."
Dr. Klein started to stand.
"Sit. We aren't done yet. You didn't let it end there though, did you? You came here and hunted him down."
"I don't care about him, but I was paid to find him."
"So, do you always do what you're told?"
"Yes, just like your men do."
Sonny pointed his finger. "Who gave you the order?"
"I don't know his name. He contacts me when he needs something."
Sonny pulled out Dr. Klein's phone. "Here's what we're going to do. We are going to wait for it to ring and then we'll hear your boss's voice."
Patient 6 moved into the room and Dr. Klein's heart dropped as Jason moved the chair.
"What will it take to let me go?"
"All I want is a name."
Dr. Klein is sweating. "I don't know. If I did, I would tell you."
His phone rings.
"You got arrested?"
"I'm out now."
"How did you make bail?"
"They dropped the charges. We need to meet. How can I find you?"
"You think I believe you?"
"I need your help. I need a face to face."
"You're on your own, Klein."
The call ends.
"What are you going to do with me now?"
"What should we with the guy who held you prisoner and kept you away from your family?"
Patient 6 stared at the doctor.
"I'm going to take this phone to be analyzed. You decide what you want to do," Sonny said before leaving.
"Is there some way you'll let me go?" Dr. Klein asked.
"Maybe…"
"What?"
"The woman who helped me…"
"Ms. Jerome? I couldn't finish because of everything that happened. I wish I could have."
"Then do it." Even though Ava was involved with Morgan's death, he wants his debt paid in full on his terms.
"I can't. It's very specialized and complex. My methods are confidential. I can't just give it away. It's worth too much."
Patient 6 moved closer. "How much is your life worth?"
"If she's willing to go back to Russia, I'll finish the treatment."
"There is no negotiation. You give me the formula and you live."
"Give me a computer."
After a few minutes, Dr. Klein put the information on a flash drive.
"Here, any good doctor can figure it out."
Patient 6 folded it up and headed toward the door as Sonny came in.
"Wait, you're just going to leave me with him?"
"He paid your bail, so he gets to decide."
Jason headed to Ava's and left the papers near her door. Kiki retrieved it and Ava read the notes.
"In case you want this. I know what happened with Morgan, we're done. JM." Ava shivered imagining his ire. "Patient 6 must have sent it."
"It's a flash drive. Do you know what's on it?"
"No."
Kiki retrieved the computer and they plugged it in and are stunned to see the notes that will be able to help her finish her treatments.

Sam answered her door to find Patient 6 standing there.
"Can I come in?"
She stared at him as her heart beat faster and he moved past her.
"Is he here?"
"No, but I don't think it's a good idea for you to stay."
The baby starts crying on the monitor.
"That's my daughter, Alana."
Sam goes to retrieve her and comes back down.
"You named her after my father?"
"Yes."
Sam put her in the playpen, but when she starts to fuss again, Patient 6 picked her up while Sam got her bottle.
The door flew open and Jason is livid.
"You need to put my daughter down and leave now."
Sam rushed into the room. "Hey, I was just getting her bottle."
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
Patient 6 put Alana in the crib, but Sam picked the baby up and went upstairs before returning.
Sonny and Carly had arrived.
"You need to leave," Jason said to Patient 6.
"We can't keep doing this," Sam said.
There's another knock and it's Jordan.
"Hi."
"What brings you here?" Jason said.
"We ran our own DNA results and I have them."
Everyone is stunned.
"You already know I'm Jason Morgan. We had the test run years ago."
"We know how tests can be manipulated."
"Enough, commissioner, what are the results?" Sonny said.
She took one of the tests out and faced Patient 6. "This test confirms you are a match for Jason Morgan."
The other Jason frowned as she turned towards him. "And this test confirms that you are also a match. They were both ran separately and double-checked."
"Come on, that can't be right," Carly said.
"I know you don't want to hear this, but they share the same DNA."
Jason and Patient 6 stared at each other.
"They are an exact match."
No one said a word.
"You two seem awfully quiet."
"The only thing I can think of is that we must be identical twins." He stared at Patient 6. "You already knew that, didn't you? That's why you came to town to try; to take over my life."
"Let's take a step back," Jordan said. "Did you know you were a twin?"
Patient 6 nodded. "No."
"We just found out yesterday from Franco that Susan Moore had given birth to identical twins," Sam said.
"Well, we haven't heard a thing. Can you fill us in?" Sonny said.
"A few months ago, Franco found a photograph of him as a child along with another boy that looked like me," Jason said. "After Susan gave birth, one child ended up with Alan and the other with Betsy Frank. There was a death certificate saying he died," he said moving toward Patient 6. "You need to stop messing with my wife's head. We know who you are, so why don't you just admit it, Drew?"
"I'm Jason."
"Look, isn't there another way to prove this?" Sonny asked.
"What about fingerprints?" Carly asked.
"Helena hacked into the database and erased them," Jordan said.
"There has to be a copy of his fingerprints somewhere."
"I'll keep researching and see if we can track down Betsy."
"What do we do in the meantime?" Jason asked.
"Well, if we can't get information from Betsy, then let's go talk to Franco."
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi
Franco and Scott are at his house. There is a knock on the door, and they are surprised to see Jordan, Sam, Jason, Patient 6, Sonny, and Carly.
"Commissioner, what is going on?" Scott asked.
"These two men have some questions for Franco and I just want to make sure things stay civil."
"We're looking into that story about Drew and there's just one problem. The commissioner ran our DNA and we're a match."
Franco doesn't flinch. "That is not possible."
"You need to be quiet," Scott said.
"Is there any part of that story you left out?" Sam asked.
Franco stared at them a moment. "Yes, there is. I suspected there were some holes in the story and maybe one of you could be one of you."
"So, the death certificate was a fake?" Jake asked.
"I couldn't tell."
"Betsy didn't give it to you?" Jordan asked.
"No, it was Dr. Maddox."
Jordan is shocked.
"How is he involved?" Jason asked.
"I was seeing him professionally and I thought it was weird that he gave me that certificate, but he's gone."
"I'll put an APB out on him," Jordan said.
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi
Jason, Sam, and Patient 6 are outside.
"Do we believe any of that?" Sam asked.
"Franco is good at mind games and lies. You know that better than anyone," Patient 6 said.
"Don't talk to my wife like that."
"I'm just stating facts."
"Look, the two of you need to figure out a way to get along because you are brothers and that isn't going to change."
Inside the house, Franco takes out a piece of paper with the correct identity of the twins and starts to burn it.
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi
Patient 6 is in a room at the Metro Court and is surprised when there is a knock on the door about an hour later. He opened it and Jason brushed by him.
"We need to talk."
Patient 6 figures that Jason got his location from Sonny. He motions towards the couch and Jason sits, so Patient 6 sits across from him.
"This is a mess," Jason said solemnly. "I have my memories back and have settled down here. I'm in love with my wife." He had been taking his anger out on his brother because he was afraid of losing everything, but that needs to change.
Patient 6 cleared his throat. "Did you marry her again?"
"Yes, but it was in the last year. We never divorced but weren't together partly because I didn't remember her for a long time and because I was in love with Elizabeth. I found out that I was Jason Morgan on the day that Liz and I were going to be married."
"Did you ever find her?" She was an important part of his life and he'd like to see her and his son.
"No. I looked for years. I got a note from her shortly after she disappeared saying she'd keep Jake safe like we wanted but she had to leave and wasn't sure if she'd ever come back."
Patient 6 sighed. This man had been with two women who are special to him and it's hard to accept. "So, why exactly did she leave?"
Jason got up and moved toward the window. "After her lie was exposed, Carly, Sam, and Elizabeth got in a huge fight. Sam's part in Jake's kidnapping came out and I was devastated. I told Liz I was disappointed and didn't understand how she could hurt me that way, and then I turned on Sam because of what she did to Jake and Cam. I couldn't believe that I would get back with her after she hated my son."
Pain flicked in Patient 6's eyes.
"It was before I remembered everything. Anyway, I'm not sure how many hours it took for her to pack and leave or who helped her. I thought that maybe Nikolas did, but he would never admit to anything, so I pushed everyone away and drank a lot, and then once my memory returned, I was pretty messed up. I didn't want Sam. Elizabeth—I couldn't get her out of my head and heart. I ended up taking the bike and leaving for a year mainly driving around the country. When I got back, I tried to be a dad to Danny, and about a year in, I got very drunk and didn't remember sleeping with Sam and she got pregnant."
Patient 6's stomach dropped.
"She wanted to name her Emily, but I just couldn't go there. I had always hoped that I'd have a girl with Liz."
Patient 6's eyes close for a minute as he processes everything.
"It took a while, but after Alana's birth, I put finding Elizabeth on hold, and then Sam and I fell in love again. I never thought I'd ever get back with her, but—"
"It just happened, and you went along with it?"
Jason shrugged. "Pretty much… I love her and our life. We need to find out who we are because this is killing me."
"We'll figure it out."
"You're still in love with Sam, aren't you?"
Patient 6 nodded. "It's up to her. If she chooses you, then as long as she's happy, I'll deal." The thought made him feel sick. It was bad enough he had lost so much time, and now he has lost his family too.
"I'm not as noble." He had never thought he'd ever love Sam the way he does, but they are happy, and he won't turn his back on her again.
Patient 6 stood. "I don't want to hate you. It's hard. I know you're scared, but you have everything that was mine." Just looking at him makes him want to punch the man in the face—repeatedly.
"We don't know that you're Jason."
"I think deep down you know and that is why you are so upset."
Jason squeezed his eyes shut. "I'll try to get along with you. It's just going to be an adjustment."
"I agree. What was Jake like? Is he okay?" He's glad he finally has an opportunity to get some details about his son.
"He's a good kid. He was a little messed up when he returned. We're not sure what Helena did to him, but he did have some nightmares and problems socializing. We thought it was due to the fact he was so isolated."
"I'm glad she is dead."
"Me too. He didn't respond to the therapy and wouldn't talk about it. We did the best we could to just love him. Cam was so happy to have him back and Elizabeth—let's just say that was probably one of the best days of her life."
"Thank you. I can't even imagine what he looks like." He doesn't usually have regrets but walking away from his son is one of the hardest things he's ever done especially since apparently, it hadn't mattered, and the damage was done. It had cost them all.
Jason pulled out his phone and then handed it over.
"Wow." Jake's hair is longer than he expected, and he's lean and reminds him of pictures he had seen of Jason Quartermaine.
"He looks a lot like you."
"Yeah." After lingering over the picture, he handed it back.
"I'll send you a copy. I need to get home."
"I might have more questions later."
"You have my number."
Jason left and Patient 6 started to pace. Something had scared Elizabeth away. After everything that happened in the past, she had never left town even when he begged her to. Once they get some answers, he'll have his twin go over every lead he has found and then go from there.
A/N – Next week…Liz's world turns upside down. Jason meets up with some friends from the past. The real Jason is revealed.
