After another night of getting drunk at Tric, Lucas is asleep in bed. He has spent many nights there since his call with Lindsey telling him that she's seeing another man. He refused to leave his house, other than to go to Tric.

Some little girls are skipping down the street when water balloons hit them all from the roof of Brooke's boutique.

At the hospital, Dan is continuing his visits to the reverend who is still number one for the heart transplant.

Brooke crosses off another day on her calendar, leaving her with eight days until Angie has to go home. Her cell phone rings on the counter and she grabs it, frowning.

At the guys' apartment, Skills peeks out of his bedroom to make sure the coast is clear. Deb then steps out and kisses him on the lips before hurrying out the door before they are caught.

At the news station, Mouth continues to get ignored, receiving disappointing looks from his co-workers due to him not giving them the footage that they needed/wanted from the Ravens' basketball game.

Haley wakes up to find Chester next to her in bed as Nathan continues to train in the high school gym.

Emma stands over the pool that she hasn't been in since her near drowning incident. She looks down into it with an apprehensive expression on her face.

Millicent walks into work as water balloons fall in front and behind her. As she goes into the store, she looks up angrily at the roof, rolling her eyes.

Savannah is standing at her locker, unpacking her bag while Jenna and Jessica are walking down the hallway pointing and whispering as they laugh in her direction. Savannah's bruising has gone down some, but she was still pretty sore from her fall, and she was still pretty angry about everything else. And, just as the girls are passing by, Savannah furrows her brows and slams her locker before she turns and attacks them. Everyone in the hallway disperses to make room as they watch Jessica and Savannah roll around on the ground, hitting one another. Lydia and Jamie then walk in and gasps when they see who is fighting. They run over, squeezing themselves through the crowd in hopes of getting to Savannah before too much damage is done.

Lucas wakes up to his window shades being pulled open and the mother of his child yelling in his face. "Lucas Scott!" Brooke says, furiously. "Wake up!"

Lucas groans, squinting up at her. "Brooke."

"Why aren't you checking your phone!?"

Lucas puts the pillow over his head, hoping to tune her out. "I turned it off. What are you doing here?"

Brooke groans in annoyance. "Well, you would know if you had your phone on. We have to get to the school. Savannah was in a fight."

Lucas quickly sits up. "What?"

"The principal wants to talk to us. We've been holding off talking to her ourselves because of Angie and because of your sulking over Lindsey, but no more!" She exclaims. "Something is wrong with our daughter and we have to get to the bottom of it. Now, get up and take a shower because it seriously smells like ass in here." She grimaces and grabs Angie, who is in her carrier, and walks out.

Lucas groans and drops his head onto the bed.

Savannah is sitting in the school office and is holding ice on her cheek when she hears the sound of her mother's heels coming down the hallway. How could she possibly know it's Brooke? Well, Savannah's heard those frustrated steps many times throughout her life - quick and it almost sounding like she's breaking the cement below her feet.

Savannah closes her eyes when she hears the door open. "Savannah Elizabeth Scott." Brooke exasperates.

Savannah opens her eyes, not only seeing her mom, but she sees her dad by her side, looking down at her with concern. She was actually surprised to see him. They haven't spoken or seen one another in a few days. Well, not with the lack of trying. Despite being drunk most days and depressed about Lindsey, even in his drunken state Lucas managed to send a text to his daughter. But Savannah knew better. She had overheard her Uncle Nathan talking about how Lucas has been spending a lot of his nights at Tric getting wasted. She knew why, and she also knew those texts were only because he couldn't text the one person he wish would really respond - Lindsey. "Miss. Davis? Mr. Scott?" The principal opens the door. "Savannah, you can join us, too."

Savannah sighs heavily and follows her parents into the principal's office.

"One week!" Brooke exclaims as she leads Savannah and Lucas into her house. She places Angie down on the floor before she turns to her daughter who just rolls her eyes. "One week of suspension and you have absolutely nothing to say about it?"

"Whatever." Savannah tries to go to her room, but her arm is suddenly grabbed by Lucas.

She turns and glares up at her dad. "Sit down. We're not done."

Savannah shakes his hand off of her and walks into the living room. She falls onto the couch, crossing her arms defiantly as both parents sit in front of her on the coffee table. "You may not want to tell the principal why you attacked that girl, but you have to tell us."

"I told you!" Savannah argues. "She started it!"

"Okay." Brooke points her finger sternly at her daughter. "First off, do not yell at us. And, second, you have been in a mood since your bike accident. What is going on with you? Why are you so angry at us?"

Savannah just huffs and looks away. "Savannah - " Lucas sighs. " - I know I haven't been around much, but - "

Savannah scoffs. "Try at all."

"But you've been pushing me away." Lucas adds, ignoring her attitude. "Both of us."

"We got a call from Miss. Lauren." Brooke adds, calming down. She didn't understand where all this anger was coming from and it really was starting to worry her. "She said you ran out of class and couldn't finish your presentation. Savannah, you had been working so hard for a month on that paper. What happened?"

"Okay, class, we are going to be finishing up presentations today." Miss. Lauren announces. "So, how about we start with Willow and Savannah?" Everyone turns to the girls as they slowly stand from their seats and walk to the front of the class. Willow hadn't seen or spoken to Savannah since she ran out of her house the other day, so she wasn't even sure if the paper was even finished. "Who would like to start?"

Willow looks over at Savannah expecting her to want to start them off. But, instead, Savannah with shaking hands just looks around the class as they all stare back at her. She was feeling insecure due to her injuries that were obvious on her face. She also barely slept because of her nightmares. So, she was pretty much a walking zombie. "Um, I guess I'll go then." Willow sighs as she grabs the paper from Savannah and begins to read.

"Is she okay?" Madison sits up in her desk, whispering to Jamie.

Jamie and Lydia share a look. They also haven't really spoken to Savannah until today, and she barely said a word to them. They found out that Savannah's cell phone had broke which is why she wasn't returning their calls, but it was still odd that she didn't at least try to see them. "I don't know." Jamie whispers back.

"We actually made a poster board, too, of the events that happened in the war. Savannah?" Willow turns to the girl who gives her no indication of moving.

"What a joke." Jenna whispers, but loud enough for Savannah and the entire class to hear. Some of them begin to laugh. But Jamie, Lydia, and even Willow could see that Savannah was about to lose it. Her hands form a fists as she scowls at the class.

"Enough!" Miss. Lauren exclaims. She reaches over her desk and gently touches Savannah's arm in hopes of getting her attention. "Savannah."

But, unfortunately, it doesn't go as expected. Savannah flinches from her sudden touch and looks around the class, panting heavily. She then runs out of the classroom leaving them all confused. "See." Jessica laughs as Miss. Lauren quickly follows Savannah. "She doesn't belong here."

"Shut up, Jessica!" Willows shouts, surprising everyone, including Jamie and Lydia.

"Are you seriously taking up for her?" Jessica scoffs.

"Yeah, you have a problem with that?"

"You're lucky she isn't giving you an incomplete." Brooke continues when Savannah doesn't say anything. "But because you wrote your half of the paper, Miss. Lauren is giving you the credit. But she said you refused to talk to her." They watch as a lone tear falls from their daughter's eyes as she looks away from them.

"Savannah - " Lucas says, softly, placing his hand gently on her knee, only causing her to flinch away from his touch. He and Brooke share a worried look before looking back at their daughter. " - we know we've been busy with some things, but you can always talk to us. We are here for you."

"Now." Savannah spats furiously at them. "You're here now. But what's going to happen when the next baby comes?" She wonders, looking at Brooke before turning to Lucas. "Or when the next woman comes into your life and breaks your heart? Huh? What then?"

"Is that what this is?" Brooke wonders, puzzled. "Do you think we've forgotten about you?"

"We could never forget about you, Savannah." Lucas adds. "We love you. You're the best thing to ever happen to us."

Savannah groans, quickly wiping the tears from her eyes in frustration. "I don't want to talk about this anymore." She tries to stand up and walk away, but Lucas grabs her around the waist. Unfortunately, he doesn't realize that he also touched the bruise that Savannah received when she was pushed into the doorknob inside Willow's bedroom.

"Ow!" Savannah jumps out of his touch, crying painfully.

Lucas furrows his brows, confused. "Savannah, I barely touched you. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Savannah lets out a sob. She tries to turn around, but this time Brooke grabs her arms, stopping her.

"No. I don't think so. Come here." Brooke tries to reach for Savannah's shirt, but she pushes her mom's hands away.

"No, Mom. Please!" She begs. "I'm fine."

"You are not fine, Savannah. Let me see." Brooke demands softly, but sternly.

"No, please." Savannah cries. Brooke manages to pull Savannah's shirt up to reveal the large bruise around her abdomen and both parents gasps only making Savannah cry harder. Seeing the hurt in their eyes, Savannah pulls Brooke's hands away and runs out of the living room and into her room.

"Wait, Savannah!" Lucas yells. He and Brooke hurry to Savannah's room, knocking on the door.

Brooke tries to open it, but it's locked. "Baby, open the door!"

"Just leave me alone!" Savannah shouts.

Lucas sighs, dropping his head against the door. He knew something was wrong with his daughter and he's angry at himself for not pushing her to talk to him sooner. "I don't think we can do that, Sav."

"I want to be alone! Please!"

Brooke and Lucas just share a look, unsure of what to do next.

Meanwhile, up on the store's roof, Haley walks up to find Peyton holding a water balloon with a heartbroken look on her face.

"Hey."

Peyton sighs. "You said it made you feel better." She says, speaking about the balloons.

Haley simply nods and walks over to her friend, giving her a hug. "It's gonna be okay."

Brooke walks out of her bedroom where Lucas is leaning against the wall near Savannah's door.

"I knew I had one." She holds up a set of keys. "There's one for every door."

Lucas nods. "Well, it's been almost an hour." He points out. "Let's hope she hasn't climbed out the window."

Brooke just glares at him as she tries to find the right key. "So - " She exhales, glancing up at Lucas. " - I heard you told Peyton that you hated her."

Lucas closes his eyes, sighing. "Are we really going to talk about Peyton right now?"

"Well, I have five more keys to go through, so, yeah. You're such a jackass sometimes, Luke."

Lucas scoffs. "I was wasted."

"Peyton is in love with you. You broke her heart!"

"Oh, I didn't break her heart." Lucas argues. "Don't be dramatic."

Brooke grins, rolling her eyes. "I'm being dramatic. Right." Thankfully, Brooke's phone rings and they are able to move away from the subject of Peyton. "Oh, that's my phone. Can you grab it for me?"

"Yeah, sure." Lucas walks into the kitchen and grabs her cell phone off the counter before walking back and handing it to her.

"Hello?" Brooke answers. "Yes, this is she." Lucas watches as Brooke's face falls and she glances at Angie, who is sleeping in her carrier. "But there must be some mistake. She has eight days left. But she's recovering from surgery, so - No, I understand. Okay. Bye." Brooke hangs up just as she finds the right key that opens Savannah's door.

"Brooke?" Lucas worries.

Brooke looks up at Lucas with tears in her eyes. "They want Angie to go home today."

Lucas sighs, knowing how hard this is going to be for her. "Brooke, I - "

Brooke shakes her head. "Savannah." She reminds him. Lucas simply nods as they open the door, only to find Savannah huddled in the corner of her room, her back against the wall, and her knees to her chest as she sleeps.

"Let's get her in bed." Lucas walks over and scoops his daughter up in his arms and places her in her bed.

Brooke takes off her shoes and sets them aside. She glances at Lucas then at Savannah, hesitating. "I have to see it again." She whispers. Lucas nods, wanting to see it, too. Brooke reaches over and gently moves Savannah's shirt up to reveal the rather large bruise. "What the hell happened?"

Lucas sighs. "Her bike?" He assumes.

Brooke shakes her head. "This is more than her bike. She was way too upset."

Lucas nods. "I agree." He then grabs his phone. "I have to go check on a few things. Will you call me as soon as she wakes up?"

"Yeah." Brooke nods. "Of course."

Lucas leans down and kisses Savannah softly on her forehead before he walks towards the door, but not before turning back to Brooke. "Hey, Brooke." Brooke turns her head, looking at him. "Angie's going to be fine. And so will you. And so will our daughter." Brooke just forces a small smile and nods before Lucas walks out of the room.

She turns back to her sleeping daughter and caresses her cheek. "What happened to you, little one?"

Haley is still on the roof when Lucas walks out. She is getting out the box she and Lucas put their notes about the future each year from its hiding spot in the brick wall.

"So, I heard there was a water balloon fight going on up here." Haley had texted him about Peyton and asked him to meet her there.

She quickly puts the folded paper into her bag. "It's all clear." She says as Lucas steps out, looking around.

"No Peyton?"

"No. You need to apologize to her."

Lucas sits down on the bench. "Hey, remember all the water balloon battles we used to have up here?"

"Don't change the subject." She glares, playfully. "Actually, now that you mention it, it was junior year, the boy-toy auction. We had that water balloon fight up here and you saw my tattoo of Nathan's jersey number for the first time." She remembers, sitting next to him.

"You mean your slutty little tramp stamp."

"I am so barely your friend right now." She warns him.

"Sorry."

"How is Savannah?"

Lucas shakes his head, dismayed. "Not okay."

Haley nods. "Lydia and Jamie said she was pretty angry."

"Angry enough to break some girl's nose." Lucas tells her. "We don't know, Hales. She won't talk to us. She's hurt and she won't let us help her."

"Sounds like someone else I know." Haley smiles at her best friend. "We're not kids anymore, Luke. You know, it really hurts me to watch what you're doing."

"Lindsey said no, Hales." Lucas reminds her. "I said yes."

"Don't give me that, Luke. I'm being honest with you right now. How do you expect your own daughter to be honest if her dad can't even be honest with himself?" Lucas turns away, knowing she's right. "What do you want? If Lindsey's the girl that you're in love with, great. If it's Peyton, great. If it's Brooke, just please. Stop hiding your heart. I mean it."

"What I want is for my daughter to talk to me."

"Then make her talk. And then, figure out what you want. You can't be her father like this, Luke." Haley stands up and walks away leaving Lucas with his thoughts.

At the news station, Millicent is walking down the hallway to meet up with Mouth who is looking through the recycled tapes.

"Hey!" She greets him happily. "How's your day?"

"Well, I cleaned the bathroom, washed the news van, returned some shoes for the weather lady because apparently the straps cut into her cankles, and they hired a new sports guy, Steve." Mouth explains, disappointed.

"How about I buy you some lunch? Come on."

Back at the hospital, Dan walks into Reverend Carter's room with another vase of flowers for the unconscious man.

"Reverend Howard Carter." He states the reverend's full name. "I did a little research. Man of faith, lived a good life. Tough run, though." Dan sets the flowers next to the other three he has brought by on the dresser. "Diabetes, stroke. You know, it's not exactly benevolent of you to lie there and take a heart that could be put to better use." Dan leans over the man's bed, scowling. "In fact, it's really quite selfish. Don't you agree?"

A nurse then walks in with two sets of pillows. "Morning."

"Good morning." Dan acts as if he is making the man comfortable. "The reverend was looking a little uncomfortable."

"Would you like to give him this pillow?" She offers.

Dan grabs the pillow with a small, menacingly grin. "Actually, I just might."

Emma is still looking down into the pool when Nathan walks out.

"Hey, Princess. What are you doing?" He asks.

Emma hesitates and quickly turns away. "Uh, nothing. I have to go feed Chester!" She runs into the house. Nathan looks towards the pool and frowns when he sees that her small basketball is still floating in the pool from the night she nearly drowned.

Nathan sighs and walks back into the house just in time to see Deb walk in. "Hey, look." He smirks. "It's my mom doing the walk of shame. Maybe we should hire a nanny for you. Out with a guy you met on a porn site?"

"Not porn." Deb glares. "Erotica."

Deb walks away as Nathan scoffs, shaking his head, disgusted. He turns back to the pool and stares at the floating basketball.

Upstairs, Nathan walks into Emma's room where she is feeding Chester his rabbit food.

"Hey, Princess. Thought you might want to go for a swim."

"No, thanks." She kinds declines.

"It's been a while. I don't think I've seen you in the pool since your accident."

"It's okay. I have to feed Chester." Emma tells him.

"Emma, are you afraid?" Nathan asks.

"No." Emma refuses to admits. "I just don't want to."

"Are you sure?" Nathan really wanted Emma to face her fear. "It might be fun."

"No, thank you."

Nathan nods, understanding and deciding to not pressure her into doing something she's not comfortable with yet. But, instead, he places the small basketball onto the bed before walking out. Emma stares at the basketball as the memories of that night flood her little mind.

Brooke is pacing her kitchen, looking sadly at Angie while she is on the phone with Dr. Copeland.

"But are you sure she's well enough?" She asks.

"Brooke, Angie's tough days are over." He assures her. "And she was very brave about them. It's time for you to be brave."

Brooke sighs as she stands over the baby, holding her tiny hand. "But I was supposed to have eight more days with her."

"Well, it's how the program works. They take the first flight available."

"Yeah." Brooke whispers with glistening tears in her eyes.

"Brooke, be proud of this. Okay? You've done a great thing here, Brooke. But it's time for Angie to go home today."

Brooke's doorbell then rings and she is forced to hold back her tears and force herself away from the little baby that stole her heart. "Thank you, Dr. Copeland."

"You're welcome." He smiles through the phone.

Brooke hangs up and walks to the front door, opening it. "Uh, hi." She says, looking confused.

"Hi." Willow stands in front of her with worry in eyes. "I'm Willow. I was Savannah's partner in history."

"Oh, yes." Brooke smiles, trying come back from her phone call with Angie's doctor. "Um. Yeah. Yeah. Come on in."

"Thanks." Willow steps inside and looks around the house. Wow. It definitely wasn't anything like her own house. No. Willow closes her eyes, shaking her head. This isn't about her and her jealousy. She's here for Savannah.

Brooke furrows her brows curiously at the girl. "Shouldn't you be in school?"

Willow sighs, nodding. "Yeah. But I was worried about Savannah." Brooke smiles softly. "She kind of ran out of class during our presentation, and - "

"Yeah. Your teacher called me. What happened, Willow?"

Willow shrugs. "I'm not sure. She just froze. Is she okay?"

Brooke shrugs, unsure. "She's sleeping right now. Have a seat."

Willow nods and sits down on the chair while Brooke sits across from her on the couch. "Miss. Davis - " Willow looks up with tears in her eyes. " - I haven't been very nice to Savannah since she started at Tree Hill." She willfully admits.

Brooke frowns. "What do you mean?" Willow could hear the anger rising in the mother's voice and she hated the fact that she was causing it. "Have you been bullying her?"

Willow sighs. "I just let jealousy get the best of me. My family sucks, and I just saw this new kid who had everything. But I know I was wrong!" She quickly retorts. "If it wasn't for this project, Savannah and I may have never gotten to know each other. And I'm so glad we did because I was so wrong. Savannah is great."

"Yes. She is." Brooke says, firmly. She was upset with this kid for bullying her child, but she was more upset with herself for not seeing it. There were signs, but she clearly ignored them. "What happened today, Willow? Do you know why Savannah attacked that girl in the hallway?"

Willow nods. "Jessica used to be my friend." She admits. "It's not an excuse and I should have never gave in to her but she's the reason I hated Savannah so much in the beginning. She just kept pointing out everything that Savannah has and what I don't. It was frustrating. But I realized that I was taking my anger out on the wrong person." She explains as Brooke listens carefully. Although she wanted to reach over and shake this girl and yell at her for bullying her daughter and allowing others to do it along with her, she knew she needed to listen if it's going to help get to the bottom of her daughter's issues. "The more Savannah and I started to open up more with each other, it seemed the more Jessica wanted to tear her down. She just wouldn't stop today in class. So, I guess Savannah just had enough. I should have stopped it. I should have stepped in. But when I finally did, it was too late. I'm so sorry, Miss. Davis. I didn't mean for this to happen. I'm sorry."

Her little girl has been hurting for so long and Brooke missed it. She didn't see it. Brooke takes a deep breath, holding back her tears. "Willow - " She sighs. " - Um, thank you. Thank for being honest with me. I'm not going to say I'm not upset that you hurt my little girl who deserved none of it - " Willow nods, looking down, ashamed. " - but thank you. Savannah would have never told me the truth. She likes to fight her own battles until she no longer can. And I believe there is another one she is fighting and she is refusing to let me in. So, I need you, if you can, to tell me the truth. Something happened that day she went to your house to finish the paper." Willow looks away and because of this Brooke could instantly see that she knows something. "Something more than just a bike accident. Willow, what happened?"

Willow shrugs. "I really don't know, Miss. Davis. She just ran out of my house crying."

Brooke looks puzzled. "Were you not with her the entire time? That doesn't make sense."

Willow takes a deep breath, hoping she is doing the right thing. But she really didn't want to get further onto Savannah's mom's bad side. "We were looking for the rest of our paper in my bedroom. But when we couldn't find it, I went into another room to rewrite it on the computer. My mom was sleeping because she works all the time, so I didn't want to wake her. So, I told Savannah just to stay in my room until I was finished. I was gone maybe twenty, twenty-five minutes and I heard some loud noises coming from my room. When I walked in, I found Savannah sitting on the floor crying and - and - " Willow closes her eyes as she replays the memory. " - I saw my brother's friend on the floor across the room, too."

Brooke's eyes widen. "Wait. What?"

"Stop." They hear Savannah growl from behind them. They look over and see Savannah staring at them with tears streaming down her eyes. "Stop!"

They both stand, but just as they do, Savannah steps back. "Savannah, I - "

"No! Stop it!" Savannah starts to run towards Willow, but Brooke is quick and steps in front of her daughter, wrapping her arms around her as she fights against her "You have no right!"

Willow gives her a sympathetic look as she walks to the front door. "I'm sorry, Savannah. I had to."

"No!" Savannah cries. "Let me go!" She tries to push Brooke's arm away, but Brooke is stronger and just holds her close. "Let me go!"

Brooke looks up from over Savannah's head and shares a look with Willow who nods sadly as she walks out of the house. "Shh." Brooke tries to calm Savannah down.

"Let me go, Mom!" Savannah sobs into Brooke's chest.

"I am never letting you go." Brooke says firmly in her daughter's ear. "Never."

Savannah just sobs louder, breaking Brooke's heart to pieces. "Mommy."

"I got you." Brooke kneels down on the floor, bringing Savannah down with her. "I got you."

"So, you got something for me, man?" Quentin asks, sounding bored. He is in the gym with Nathan, helping him train.

Nathan is panting at the free throw line, struggling to catch his breath, but refusing to give up. "Just shut up and check the ball, Q."

Quentin smirks, throwing the ball to Nathan. Nathan dribbles the ball trying to make it around Quentin, but Quentin is blocking him. "Crossover's a little rusty, son." He taunts. But Nathan continues to try and dribble around Quentin. "Nathan Scott." Q laughs. "Where's that ACC game at, Nate? Hmm?" Nathan pushes his back against Quentin, trying to make it to the goal, but Quentin isn't letting him in. He just continues to taunt an annoyed Nathan. "First-team all American? NBA lottery? Huh?" Nathan jumps to shoot, but Quentin knocks it from his hand. "Get up out of here, man."

"Dammit!" Nathan shouts, angrily.

"The fade away, Nate? Really? Are you serious? The fade away is weak, man! Weak! Come on, man. Let's go again."

"No, man." Nathan pants. "I'm not feeling today. I'm done."

"Hey, J. Scott." Quentin calls out to Jamie who had been watching from the bleachers. "Why don't you run out in the hallway and gets us some waters?"

"Yeah. Okay." Jamie walks out of the gym.

"What's going on, Nate?" Quentin asks.

"I'm just out of shape." Nathan tells him.

But Quentin doesn't buy it. "No, man. That ain't it. That is not it. Now, every day we do this, and every day you play soft."

"Well, maybe that's because I can't do this anymore."

"Really? Maybe you just scared to, right? Huh? Easier to have your dream taken away than give it a shot and fail, right?"

"I'm not scared."

"Right? You not scared? Well, you playing scared!"

"I'm not scared!"

"You playing scared!"

"I am not scared, man!" Nathan then notices Jamie watching them.

Nathan gets into the car and slams the door, angry at himself.

Jamie looks at his dad, feeling sad for him. "It's okay if you don't play anymore, Dad." He needed to make sure his dad knows that he will be okay if he doesn't play. That the whole family will be okay. They just want him to be happy.

Nathan sighs. "Thanks, son."

Haley walks into Peyton's office. "I'm dying here." She says. But when she doesn't receive a response from Peyton, she gives her a curious look. "You okay?"

"Uh." Peyton grabs a record from her shelf. "Yeah. I just got a weird e-mail from Mia saying she met this guy out on tour that said he knew Ellie. So it just caught me off guard. How come you're dying?" She asks, bringing the subject back on Haley.

"Oh, because I'm having trouble writing lyrics for this melody that you liked." Haley tells her.

Peyton shrugs. "It's okay. What do you got so far?"

"So far I've got nothing."

Peyton laughs. "Alright. How about, 'I hate you, bitch. You ruined my life?' Does that do anything for you?"

Haley chuckles. "You know what, I do have some words for you even though they're not mine. Lucas and I, we used to write our predictions every year before the school year started." Haley pulls out the paper she took from the box when she was on the roof of Brooke's store. "Sort of what we hoped would happen."

"Lame." Peyton teases as they sit on the pool table.

Haley scoffs. "You know you're jealous."

"Kind of." Peyton smirks.

"Anyway, I'm gonna violate my friendship rule here because you're at, like, code red." Haley opens the paper. "'Peyton Sawyer will become Peyton Scott.' That was, like, eighth grade."

Peyton sighs. "Oh, Haley." She wasn't sure she could hear this, only for it to hurt her more.

"He got a little cocky sophomore year." Haley continues, ignoring her. "'Make out with Peyton Sawyer or more.'" Haley grins. "'And this year, I'll talk to Peyton Sawyer.' 'Try again with Brooke - Brooke Davis.'" Peyton laughs. "Well, that - But, you know, this is how much he doesn't hate you." Haley stresses. "It's a whole lifetime's worth."

"I know, I know. That's what he writes. But what he says is a totally different story."

"Sometimes people write the things that they can't say." Haley points out.

Peyton simply nods, sadly, hoping that's true.

At Lucas', he is cleaning up around his room since he was in a drunken stupor the last few days and let everything go to crap. But, as he is doing that, there is a knock on the door.

"Come on in. It's open." The door opens and Lucas turns and is surprised to find Lindsey walking inside.

"Hi."

"Hi." Lucas says back. "What are you doing here?"

"Uh. I needed to talk to you about something, but you wouldn't answer your phone." She tells him.

Lucas takes a moment to look her over. "You look good."

"You look hungover."

Lucas grins. "Yeah, well, there's a girl I almost married that started dating again. My daughter refuses to speak with me, let alone let me near her so - "

Lindsey immediately becomes concerned. "Is Savannah okay?"

Lucas shrugs. "We're figuring it out. But after that, well, things just kind of went dark."

Lindsey opens her bag and takes his book out. "The book's done."

"Oh, come on." Lucas says, not believing that. "I know the ending needs work. I haven't even written a dedication yet."

"You can e-mail the dedication." She walks closer to him. "The book's done, Luke. It's perfect." He reluctantly takes the book from her. "So, I think this is goodbye. And goodbye shouldn't happen over the phone."

Lindsey reaches up and kisses him on the cheek before she walks to the door. "Lindsey - " Lindsey turns to him with tears in her eyes. "Do you ever miss me?"

"I should go." She opens the door, refusing to answer, and walks out.

As Lucas watches her go, his phone begins to ring. He grabs it from his pocket and sees that it's Brooke calling. "Brooke?" He answers.

Lucas practically runs into the house and finds Savannah in Brooke's arms on the couch. He could hear her sobs as she is nestled in the crook of her mom's neck.

"Brooke?"

Brooke looks up showing Lucas her own tears. "Savannah, Dad's here." She whispers.

Lucas slowly walks over and sits on the coffee table in front of them. "No." Savannah cries.

Brooke wipes away her own tears before she lifts Savannah up. Lucas covers his mouth, trying his best to hold back his own tears as he looks at his little girl. Brooke gently wipes Savannah's tears away, but they just kept on coming. "You need to talk to us, baby. We need to know what happened that day so that we can help you." Savannah shakes her head. She turns to look at Angie who is still, thankfully, sleeping in her carrier. Brooke gently moves her head back towards her. "Hey." Savannah forces her eyes to look at her mom's. "Let us help you."

Lucas carefully sits down on the other side of Savannah and places his hand on her knee. He feels her flinch under his touch, but she doesn't move much to his relief. "Talk to us, pretty girl."

"You won't love me anymore." Savannah cries.

"Oh, baby." Brooke felt like her heart dropped into her stomach. Not love her anymore? Did Savannah really believe that?

"You couldn't be more wrong, Savannah Scott." Savannah looks at her father who is holding a small grin. "Nothing in this world could ever make us stop loving you. Nothing."

Savannah takes a few deep breaths. "I was so scared." She admits quietly. "The whole time I was thinking how I should have just let you bring me." She glances at Brooke. "I should have listened. I shouldn't have been in a hurry. I could have waited. The stupid paper could have waited."

She was getting angry with herself and Brooke and Lucas could see that. "Hey. Hey." Brooke soothes. "Whatever happened, Savannah, it was not your fault."

Savannah shakes her head. "I should have stopped it. But he was so strong." Lucas furrows his brow in anger. He. Someone. Some guy hurt his little girl. "I couldn't get away."

"Wha - What happened, Savannah?" Lucas manages to stammer out.

"Willow was typing up the rest of the paper in the other room, so she left me alone. She told she'd be back and to not come out because her mom would mad if she found someone else in the house without asking her." Savannah starts to explain. "So, I stayed in her room. But - But then - " Savannah sighs as more tears fall. Brooke quickly brushes them away before leaving her hand on the back of Savannah's head as her other hand holds Savannah's small one. Savannah looks down at her dad's hand that is still on her knee. She then begins to play with the ring on her mom's finger as she replays that day's events. "He - He came in. He said he couldn't stop looking at me when I walked into the house. I tried to be nice and laugh it off. And when I went to leave he followed me to the door, but he wouldn't let me open it. He, um, he pushed me against the door - " Savannah's lip quivers as she thinks about the pain that she felt. Brooke and Lucas share a look. "I - I felt him move his hand up my shirt. And then, he - " Savannah looks down, unable to look her parents in the eyes. " - he said I was still a baby." She lets out a sob. Lucas and Brooke finally realize what happened to their daughter and it made them sick. "He said he loved that. I tried to move away." She looks at her parents begging them with her eyes to believe her. "I tried to run away! I promise! But he just pushed me against the wall again and he - he wouldn't let me go. Daddy, I'm sorry." She cries out. Brooke covers her mouth in shock, finally letting her own tears fall.

"Oh, baby." Lucas exasperates. He leans in and kisses her longing on the forehead. "No. You have nothing to be sorry about! He should have never did that you, okay!? That was not your fault!"

"But that's not it." Savannah cries. "He did more. I'm sorry! I didn't want to him to. He - He put his hand down my jeans." Lucas and Brooke wanted to find this guy and kill him. "He kept laughing in my ear while he was doing it, and I let him. I'm sorry I let him do that to me! I'm sorry! Mommy, I'm sorry Angie has to go back, or else you could start over. I'm sorry I'm so damaged now."

"Oh, no! No, sweetheart. Come here." Brooke grabs Savannah and hugs her close to her chest as they both cry. "You are not damaged! He is! I need you to believe that, okay? I love you so much! We both do! Dad and I love you so much, baby!"

Still wrapped in her mother's arms, Savannah looks at her father. "I wish you were there to save me, Daddy. I'm sorry I pushed you away."

"I'm sorry I let you. Come here." Lucas leans in and brings them both into his arms as they all cry together.

Nathan walks into Jamie's room to find Emma looking at his trophies.

"What you doing, Princess?"

"Looking at Jamie's trophies." Emma tells him.

"You know, someday, you're gonna have your own trophies, just like Jamie and Lydia." Nathan says.

Emma looks at her dad with a smile. "And like you?"

Nathan chuckles. "And like me." He sits down on Jamie's bed and waves her over. "Come here." Emma walks over and sits down next to him. "Don't be afraid to be great, Em. Okay? 'Cause you are. All three of you are, and the world isn't strong enough to beat the Scott kids. I promise." He kisses Emma on her head before he walks out, leaving Emma to turn and look at Jamie's trophies again.

After lunch, Millicent is walking Mouth back to his office when the new guy walks up to introduce himself to her.

"Hi, I'm Steve, the new sports guy."

"Hi, Steve." Millicent smiles and points to Mouth. "That's the better sports guy." Mouth just smiles and lets his girlfriend lead him down the hall.

Emma, now in her swimsuit and her arm floaties, walks up to the pool determined to face her fears while her family watches proudly from behind.

"The truth is, I'm scared, okay?" Dan admits to Reverend Carter. He is leaning over the unconscious man's bed, holding the pager that was given to him by the doctor. "The countdown's on. And I've got to wait for this damn beeper to go off before I can get a heart." Dan says, bitterly. "After you get one. You're the one who's lived a good life. I'm the one who needs time to make amends. So why don't you just take one for the team, huh? And if you do. I'll use my time for redemption. Okay?" Dan continues to hear the beeps of the machines. "You suck, Carter."

Savannah has fallen asleep in Lucas' arms after her emotional meltdown which was way overdue the parents' thought.

"So, what do we do?" Brooke wonders as she looks at her little girl, brushing her hand down her red cheeks.

Lucas sighs into Savannah's hair, closing his eyes as he holds her closer. "We press charges."

"We don't even know who this guy is, Luke. How are we even going to find him?"

"You'll talk to that girl, her history partner, Willow. We'll get a name and we will report him. But I will not let him get away with what he did. He hurt our daughter, Brooke, and she deserves justice.

Brooke nods, fully agreeing. She then turns to Angie. "I have to get her to the airport."

"Do you want me to come with you?" Lucas asks, knowing how hard this is going to be for her.

Brooke smiles softly, shaking her head. "That's okay. You need to be with our girl right now. I can do this."

"Brooke - "

"It's okay." Brooke quickly interrupts. She was afraid if she allowed Lucas to come with her, she wouldn't be able to do it at all. "I'll be back in a bit."

Brooke grabs the diaper bag, Angie, and then she bends down and kisses Savannah on the forehead. Lucas reaches up and takes Angie's hand. "Goodbye, little one."

Brooke lets out a long sigh as Lucas squeezes her hand, hoping to comfort her, too. She kisses Angie on the head as she walks out of the house. Lucas looks back down at his daughter who is sleeping in his arms. He missed this. He missed her. He sighs and presses his lips onto her head. "I love you, pretty girl." He whispers.

Back at the Scott's, Emma takes a step back, looking at the water in front of her. "I'm Emma Quinn Scott!" She exclaims before she jumps into the pool, conquering her fears. Nathan, Haley, Jamie, and Lydia jump up and down, celebrating, before they each one by one jump into the pool after her.

Savannah slowly opens her eyes and looks up to find her dad. "You're still here." She says in awe.

Lucas smiles down at his daughter. "Of course I am."

Savannah smiles softly, looking around the room. "Where's Mom?"

Lucas sighs. "She had to bring Angie to the airport. She left awhile ago."

Savannah sits up, knowing what they have to do. "We should go, Dad." Lucas furrows his brows, confused. "Mom needs us."

At the airport, Brooke walks in carrying Angie close to her, placing gentle kisses to her head.

"I love you, little girl, and I always will, okay?" Brooke says, tearfully. "You're gonna have a great life." Two social workers walk up ready to take Angie away. "Don't forget me, okay?" Brooke passes Angie away as she breaks down in tears. She turns around and is surprised to find Lucas and Savannah standing there waiting for her. "I told you not to come." She says to Lucas.

Lucas nods, placing his arm around their daughter. "We couldn't let you do this alone, Mom."

This just brings Brooke further over the edge. Her daughter had something traumatic happen to her, and the only one she can think of right now is her. Brooke breaks down and Lucas brings them both back into his arms.

The Scott family are playing with one another in the pool, splashing, and dunking each other under the water.

Meanwhile, at the Rivercourt, Peyton is painting on the court as Millicent and Mouth kiss inside his office at the news station.

Dan removes the oxygen mask from Reverend Carter's face as he looks at the card from Emma.

"You did it, princess." Nathan says, proudly, as he holds Emma in his arms in the pool while Jamie, Haley, and Lydia sit off to the side watching with smiles on their faces. "I knew you could. Alright. You ready?"

"Yeah!" Emma shouts.

"One, two, three." Nathan tosses Emma in the air and she splashes into the water while Jamie and Lydia jump in after her. Nathan turns to Haley and they share a smile, both equally happy to have their family again.

Dan grabs a pillow and goes to smother Reverend Carter with it, but Emma's card catches his eye again and, instead, he puts it behind the man's head. "Okay, Carter - " Dan places the oxygen mask back over Carter's face. " - it's up to you. But sometimes a guy just needs a sign there's some hope for him, you know?" He holds up Emma's card. "Hope."

Lucas and Savannah wrap Brooke in their arms as they walk her out of the airport.

"Thanks for lunch and for telling the new sports guy off." Mouth says, appreciatively, from inside his office as he holds Millicent's hand. "But I should probably get back to being shunned." He sighs.

"I'm sorry it's so hard for you now."

"You know something? I stand by what I did." He tells her. "Luke was really hurting and it just felt insidious somehow to broadcast that pain."

Suddenly, his co-worker, Jerry, storms in, panicked. "Mouth, how many men's basketball championships has UCLA - "

But Mouth doesn't even give him time to finish before he answers. "Eleven." Jerry walks out and Mouth turns back to Millicent with uncertainty. "I don't know what to do now."

"Omaha." Millicent grins, knowing exactly what he needs to do.

"Not without you."

"Then I'll go, too."

"Really? You'd go with me?" Mouth smiles.

"Yes." Millicent stands up and sits on his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I'd go anywhere with you, Marvin McFadden."

Brooke is sitting on the couch holding Angie's purple monkey that somehow fell during her trip to the car when Savannah walks up holding her own. Brooke smiles softly and wraps her arm around her daughter, allowing Savannah to cuddle into her side.

"I'm sorry Angie had to go away." Savannah tells her.

Brooke nods. "Yeah. Me too." She sighs, pressing her lips onto her daughter's head. "I'm sorry I was so crazy about wanting to grow our family, that I didn't even consider your feelings."

Savannah looks up at Brooke, perplexed. "Mom, I want us to have a big family, too." She didn't want Brooke to think she was against all of this. "I would love to have more siblings. I'm just sorry I screwed up and - "

"No." Brooke interrupts, firmly. "You did not screw up, Savannah Scott. What happened to you was not your fault and if I have to tell you that every day until you believe it then I will." Immediate tears fill Savannah's eyes. She wasn't sure how much more she could possibly cry out. "And I will also tell you how much I love you and how you're the best thing to ever happen to me, and how I am nothing without you because it's true."

Savannah just nods, sighing. "What are we going to do, Mom?" She whispers.

Brooke squeezes Savannah close. "Right now, we're going to sit on this couch and you are going to let me hold you for awhile. We will figure everything else out later. But, just know, I will never let anything happen to you, ever. I love you, baby."

Savannah closes her eyes, wrapping her arm around Brooke's waist. "I love you, Mom."

Brooke drops her head onto Savannah's and hugs the purple monkey close as she allows her tears to fall for her daughter and for Angie.

At the Rivercourt, Lucas turns on the street light to reveal Peyton's drawing of a massive comet in the middle of the court and the words of a song called 'Love Song' by The Cure.

'Whenever I'm alone with you, You make me feel like I am home again, Whenever I'm alone with you, You make me feel like I am whole again.

'Whenever I'm alone with you, You make me feel like I am young again, Whenever I'm alone with you, You make me feel like I am fun again

'However far away, I will always love you. However long I stay, I will always love you. Whatever words I say, I will always love you. I will always love you.'

At the Scott's, Emma runs into the house from the pool with Deb following behind with a towel.

"Emma, you're tracking water all over the house!" Haley and Nathan are in the living room, chuckling at their daughter. "I can't get her out of the pool now." Deb exclaims as she follows her grand-daughter towards the stairs.

Jamie and Lydia walk in already dry and changed. "Hey, Jimmy Jam, we're going back to the gym." Nathan tells his son.

Jamie appears surprised by this considering how they left earlier. "We are?"

"Scotts never quit." Nathan and Jamie pound fists.

"I'll go grab my jersey." Jamie runs out.

"Hey, Mom?" Haley looks up at Lydia. "Can I show you something?"

"Sure, baby, what is it?" Haley wonders.

"I'll be right back." Lydia runs out, leaving the parents alone.

Haley smiles at Nathan as he stands up, ready to leave. She stands up with him, taking his hand. "You know what? You still make my heart race." Nathan scoffs, amused. "You do. I'm serious." She places his hand on her chest. "Feel this. My heart is so full of pride and love and joy right now because of you." But Haley's cell phone rings interrupting their moment. She grabs her phone and looks at the caller I.D. "It's my other boy."

"Alright." Nathan smiles, kissing her. "I'll see you."

As Nathan walks away, Haley answers her phone. "Hey."

Haley walks onto the Rivercourt to find Lucas sitting in the middle of the court and in the middle of Peyton's drawing. "Wow. Very Peyton." She says, impressed.

"Lindsey stopped by today." Lucas tells her as she sits down next to him.

"She's here?"

"Not anymore. I had to go see Savannah." Lucas turns to Haley with tears in his eyes. "Some guy hurt my daughter, Hales."

Haley furrows her brows. "What? What do you mean?"

Lucas sighs, furiously, wiping away his tears. "Some coward who preys on little girls hurt my daughter and I wasn't there to protect her. I was too busy with my own life and worrying about someone who didn't even want me back when my daughter had been hurting right in front of me."

Haley begins to panic. "Did he - "

Lucas quickly shakes his head. "No. No. He didn't do - No. He just - " He sigh heavily at the thought. "She's my little girl, Haley."

Haley sighs. "How is she?"

"She'll be okay physically. Brooke and I brought her to the hospital to get checked out. But, emotionally, I'm not sure she'll be able to come back from that."

"She will." Haley says with certainty. "She's a Scott. And she's Brooke and Lucas' daughter which means she is strong. You are strong, Luke. And you know what's made you and Savannah so strong? Love. And the day you start thinking that love is overrated is the day that you're wrong." Haley wraps her arm around Lucas as they look at Peyton's drawing. "And the only thing wrong with love and faith and belief is not having it.

As Lindsey is walking through the airport, she receives a text. She looks down at her phone to see that it's Lucas sending her his dedication for his book.

'...to all those lost souls who have forgotten to believe in the immensity of love.'

Tears fill her eyes as she dials his number and leaves him a voicemail. "Hi, Luke. Just got your dedication and I guess I'm one of those lost souls because I lied to you. I said I was seeing someone, and I wasn't. The truth is, I was afraid of the immensity of your love, and I thought - " Lindsey sighs, letting her tears fall. "I just wanted you to know. You asked me if I miss you. Of course I miss you. That's all I do."

On the Rivercourt, Lucas is listening to Lindsey's voicemail as he looks around at Peyton's drawing.

Lydia is sitting on her bed with her guitar on her lap when Haley peeks in and knocks lightly on her door.

Lydia looks up and smiles at her mom. "You're back."

"Yeah." Haley smiles back. "I'm sorry I ran off on you like that when you wanted to show me something." She walks in and sits down on Lydia's bed.

"It's okay." Lydia shrugs. "Uncle Lucas needed you."

Haley shakes her head and pats her daughter's cheek lovingly. Always the understanding one. "But I'm here now."

Lydia nods and grabs her notebook from her nightstand. "Well, I know you've been having trouble finding lyrics to that melody you composed."

Haley looks suspiciously at her daughter, wondering where she's going with this. "Yeahhh."

Lydia opens her notebook and hands it to Haley. "Well, I kinda wrote some."

Haley clearly looks surprised. "Wait. What?"

"I mean, not all of it." Lydia shrugs. "Just some that maybe could get you started?"

Haley smiles, widely, as she reads the lyrics. "Lydia..." She looks at her daughter. "...this is good."

Lydia looks unsure, though. "Really? I mean, I was just messing around. You don't have to - "

"How would you like to come to the studio with me and we can try to finish this?"

Lydia perks up. "Really?"

Haley nods. "Really. Grab your guitar, girly, we're going write a song."

Lydia shrieks happily. She grabs her guitar and jumps off the bed and runs out of her room with Haley following.

Brooke is still sitting on the couch, awaiting the phone call from Angie's social worker, with Savannah sleeping against her.

Lucas walks in. "Hi."

"Hi." Brooke says, anxiously. "They're supposed to call me as soon as Angie's home safe."

"Where's Peyton?" Lucas wonders as he sits down on the other side of Savannah.

"I don't know. Probably at work. I didn't tell her Angie was leaving for sure."

"And you told me not to come to the airport. Why?"

Brooke shrugs, holding Savannah closer. "You needed to be here."

"I know I did. But even Savannah knew we needed to be with you. Why didn't you think so?" He asks.

"I don't like you guys to see me like this." Brooke admits. "Vulnerable."

Lucas chuckles. "That's how I always see you, Brooke. But I think it's kind of beautiful. You know, I've been thinking about all the things you've done for our daughter, for Angie, Rachel, and me, and - I mean, all kinds of people. You save people, Brooke Davis. It's what you do."

Brooke looks down sadly at their daughter. "Then why couldn't I save Savannah? Why can't I keep bad things from happening to her?"

"We didn't know, Brooke. We didn't know because Savannah is just like her mother and doesn't want others to see her vulnerable." Brooke looks down, guilty. "But we're going to save her. We'll always be here to save her. And the police are going to find that bastard and make sure he can never hurt anyone else again. I promise."

Brooke nods and looks up at Lucas with tear-filled eyes. "I believe you."

"You'll call me when Angie's home safe?" Brooke nods as Lucas stands up and kisses Savannah, then her, on the head before walking towards the door.

"Hey, Luke." Brooke looks up at the father of her child. "We've been through a lot, me and you. I wouldn't have made it through today, or the last twelve years, without you. So, thanks."

"You're welcome."

Brooke then holds out the purple monkey to him. He looks curiously at it as he takes it from her. "This is for you. You know - " Brooke smirks. " - just in case Savannah ever leaves hers." Lucas chuckles. "I love you, Lucas Scott. You know that?"

"I love you, too, Brooke Davis."

Brooke just smiles as she holds Savannah close in her arms, dropping her head down and looking down at her phone.

"Okay, come on, guys! Let's go! Let's go!" Bill, Mouth's boss, shouts out. They are about to begin the broadcast. "Come on, come on, come on! Rick, where are your pants!?"

"Coffee accident." Rick tells him as he stands in just half his suit and boxers.

"Well, we can get them at the break. Jerry, we're gonna lead with the UCLA signing. Where is it?"

"Right here." Jerry shows him the notes.

"Alright. Let's get it done."

Jerry brings the notes over to the new sports anchor, Steve. "Here you go."

"I'm good." Steven refuses the notes. "I got the prompter."

"Uh, you sure?"

"Watch and be amazed." He says, smugly.

"Okay, guys!" A man call outs. "Countdown begins." Jerry quickly removes the notes and walks away. "In five, four, three, two - cue music. Go camera one." The music begins to play and the camera begins to roll. "Graphic out." Mouth steps into the booth to watch. "And cue anchor."

"Good evening. I'm Rick Hunter. And this is Channel 11 evening news. It's National Letter of Intent Day for big-time college basketball programs." Mouth is watching, glumly, knowing he should be the one up there broadcasting. His boss, Bill, then steps into the room. "And Steven Gold is here with news of a local signing. Steve."

"That's right, Rick, big news out of Masonboro - " Steve begins. " - where local phenom Shane Dorset has committed to play basketball on the west coast at UCLA."

"That could have been you." Bill whispers to Mouth.

"Obviously the local powerhouses are disappointed. But Dorset cited UCLA's once-proud legacy - " Suddenly, the prompter goes out and Steve begins to panic.

"The prompter's down." Jerry tells them from inside the booth.

Everyone begins to panic. "Uh, go to Rick." The control guy tells the cameraman.

But Rick is busy putting his pants back on. "Uh, I don't think you wanna do that." Jerry tells him.

"Uh, have him fill. Steve, fill."

"Um, as many of you know - " Steven continues. " - UCLA's mascot is a bruin. Um, which is kind of a cute bear."

Everyone groans. "Oh, for goodness sake!" The control guy exclaims. "Where's the prompter!?"

"It's not up yet!" Jerry exasperates.

"Should we go to commercial?" Bill asks.

Mouth steps in and grabs a set of headphones. "Alright, say exactly what I say." He tells Steven through the mic. "Dorset cited UCLA's legacy." Steve looks confused, though. "Just look into the camera and say, 'Dorset cited UCLA's legacy.'"

"Dorset cited UCLA's legacy." Steve repeats.

"The bruins have eleven men's NCAA basketball championships."

"The bruins have eleven men's NCAA basketball championships." Steven repeats.

"Which is more than any other school."

"Which is more than any other school."

As Mouth is helping Steve, everyone in the control are looking around with smiles on their faces because Mouth saved their broadcast, yet again.

"We'll be back after this. I'm, say your name."

"We'll be back after this. I'm say your name." Steve finishes, butchering the last part.

Mouth takes the headphones off as they end the broadcast. Everyone begins to the applause as Mouth and the others step out of the control room. "Thank you." Mouth tells them. "And for my encore. I quit."

Their faces all fall in dismay as Mouth turns and walks away.

"And it's the same guy that said he knew Ellie." Peyton is on the phone with Mia who is telling her about the guy she met on tour. "Oh, Mia, if you see him tonight can you have him call me?" Peyton looks up and sees Lucas walk in. "Hey, I got to go, okay? Bye." Peyton hangs up.

Lucas looks longingly at Peyton, seeing the hurt he caused her. "I don't hate you. I remember the first time I ever saw you." He recalls as he walks closer. "All skinny arms and tangled mess of hair. It was hard letting you go, Peyton. You know? It was hard losing you." Peyton just listens intently with tears glistening in her eyes. "And it was hard seeing you again. And it's...still...really hard."

"I know." She says barely above a whisper. Peyton then lets out a long sigh. "While I'm asleep, I have this dream where we're back in that hotel room in L.A. and you proposed to me. And every single time, I say yes."

"It's just a dream, right?"

"It's my dream."

Inside his bedroom, Lucas grabs his packed bag and before he walks out of the door, he stops and looks at a picture of himself and Savannah and smiles.

"Dad, I know today has been insane." Savannah is sitting in Lucas' car as they drive to the airport to be with Brooke. Lucas glances at her, curious to where she is going with this, before looking back at the road in front of them. "I know I've been pushing you away."

"It's okay, baby." Lucas assures her. "I understand now. And I promise you that after we speak to the police, this guy will never hurt anyone ever again."

Savannah smiles softly, looking so much like her mom. "I believe you."

Lucas reaches over and squeezes her hand. "Do you think you're going to be okay telling your story again? Because if you - "

"Will you and Mom be with me?" Savannah interrupts, looking hopeful.

"We'll always be with you, Sav."

Savannah nods, grateful. "Dad?"

"Yeah, pretty girl?"

"I think there's also someone else you need to be there for, too." Lucas furrows his brows at his daughter. "Aunt Peyton." Savannah tells him causing him to sigh heavily. "I know things haven't been great between you two. I mean, things haven't been great since that night she said 'no' to your proposal."

"Sav - "

"No, Dad, let me finish. Please." Lucas nods, agreeing. "I know you still love her. And we all know she still loves you. I know you say you love Lindsey and I think you still do. But I don't think you love her like you have loved Aunt Peyton. I also know I really want you to be happy again."

Lucas scoffs. "Savannah, I'm happy. You make me happy."

Savannah smiles softly, nodding. "I know. I know you and Mom have me. But we all know you need more. You need that someone else. And I really hope Mom finds that someone else for herself one day. But you have that now. You have Aunt Peyton. Don't screw it up just because you're sad. I like Lindsey. I do. But she's not who you belong with, Dad, and I think you know that."

Lucas glares teasingly at his daughter. "When did you become so wise?"

Savannah shrugs, sighing. "I have smart parents." She glares back. "When they want to be." She chuckles.

Lucas laughs, squeezing her hand. "I love you, Savannah."

"I love you, too, Daddy."

Lucas smiles and places the picture frame back on his dresser before he opens his door and walks out.

At the studio, Haley is standing behind the microphone, ready to record. She smiles at Lydia who is sitting in the control room watching her mom in awe.

'Ahh-ahh Ahh ahh' Haley begins to sing. 'Ahh-ahh ahh ahh Ahh-ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh Ahh-ahh ahh ahh Ahh-ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh It's gotta be this one. You don't have to fake it. You know I can take it'

Lucas walks through the airport, preparing to leave Tree Hill before he looks back at the doors.

'What if I told you Your tears haven't been ignored And everything that was taken can be restored'

Dan walks into Reverend Carter's room with another vase of flowers only to find the bed empty.

'Feel this, can you feel this? My heart beating out of my chest'

The nurse walks in. "I'm sorry." She apologizes sadly to Dan. "They did all they could."

'Feel this, can you feel this? Salvation under my breath'

Dan smiles, realizing he is now number one on the list. "I'd like to send flowers."

"Well, if you wanna leave your name and number."

'It's gotta be just right. Soul and spirit, A chord and lyric'

Dan looks down at the pager. "My name is Dan Scott. And my number is one."

'What if I told you that innocence is yours'

"Come on, Nate!" Quentin is back in the gym with Nathan, helping him train as Jamie watches from the bleachers. "NBA's a pipe dream, boy. You might as well give it on up."

"Come on, Dad!" Jamie shouts. "You can do it!"

'And the beauty you have now is brighter than before'

Nathan dribbles the ball past Quentin for the first time and dunks the basketball in the goal, shocking them all.

"Whoa!" Jamie exclaims.

'Can you feel this? Can you feel this?'

"What the hell was that?" Quentin asks, stunned.

'My heart beating out of my chest'

Nathan, who is still looking up at what he did, smiles. "I don't know." He laughs. "I just - I can do this." He realizes. Nathan turns to Jamie. "I'm gonna do this. Whoo!" He claps, happily, ready to keep going.

'Feel this. Can you feel this? Salvation under my breath'

Haley waves Lydia into the studio. Lydia smiles excitedly and runs in. Haley stands her on top of a chair so she can reach the mic. Lydia appears surprised by this, but she doesn't dare question her mom.

Dan walks out of the hospital and passes an old man who drops his walking stick. "Oh, I got it." He reaches down and grabs the stick, handing it to the man. "Here you go. Let me give you a hand here." He helps the man safely to the curb. "There you go. You folks be careful." He starts back out into the road as he continues to talk to the older couple. "You could get yourself killed out here."

Suddenly, a car speeds by and hits Dan, knocking him unconscious in the road. And as he lays in the road, his beeper goes off beside him signaling that it's his turn for a heart transplant.

'Let go. Let go and believe' Lydia sings as Haley watches proudly from her side. 'Let go. Let go and believe.'

'Ahh-ahh ahh ahh' Haley sings. 'Ahh-ahh ahh ahh Ahh-ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh'

At the airport, Lucas is sitting by himself contemplating. He picks up his cell phone.

'Let go' Both Haley and Lydia sing together. 'Let go and believe. Let go. Let go and believe. Let go and believe.'

Brooke is still sitting on the couch with Savannah sleeping at her side. She was growing impatient waiting for the phone call from Angie's social worker.

'Let go and believe'

Her cell phone then goes off. "Hello?" She quickly answers.
