Everyone went back to the motel, preparing for that night. Dean was cleaning all of his guns while Sam was following Emily's suggestion for looking at probable locations. Cas was sitting in a chair next to a window looking out into the sky.

"Hey, Cas," Dean got his attention. "What did Celine give you?"

"A couple of items for protection. It is quite powerful."

"Why would she give you something and not the rest of us?" Sam asked after hearing the response.

"It is not for me," Cas said bluntly.

"But she gave it to you?" Sam asked him with a questioning look on his face.

"It is protection specific to a child. Seeing as I am the one carrying a child, it makes the most sense to give it to me."

"So she knew you were pregnant?" Dean asked incredulously.

"She can see auras. It would not be hard to assume that she could see that I was had two entities inside my vessel," Cas reasoned.

"What did she mean by not wanting you to need it?" Sam asked him.

"I do not know. I just know that she felt uneased after the spellbook arrived. It got worst after you and your father arrived. I tried to respect her privacy and stay out of it."

Sam and Dean looked at each other with worried looks on their face. Dean spoke first.

"You don't think he would try anything do you?"

"He doesn't even know that Cas is pregnant yet," Sam said trying to reason with himself. "It will still be a while until Cas starts showing. We should have enough time to come up with some kind of plan. What are the chances Dad's going to do something without having some kind of plan."

"Slim to none," Dean answered. "But he's still had times when he was along that he could have done anything."

"Then we limit the time he spends along and makes sure not to leave books around. We can't exactly do anything specific if we don't know what he is up to."

After a few moments, a knock was heard on the door. Sam stood up to open it, and Mary quickly made her way into the room while John just meandered in. The tension between the two of them hung in the air. Neither one of them seemed to try to look in the other's direction, avoiding having the other one in their peripheral vision.

"What do we have?" John asked gruffly. "It's almost dark."

"There's a warehouse district that is pretty much in the center of where all of the bodies were found," Sam answered. "There is a very high rate of arrests in the area involving drugs compared to the others, so that's our best bet."

"So, you listened to the little witch-in-training?" John asked with a tone. A small noise was heard from the room coming from Mary, but Sam kept his eyes on John.

"Why wouldn't we have? It was a solid idea unless you want to somehow search the entire town in a single night."

John didn't have a reply so he just leaned back against the wall. The looked around the room, eyes still over Cas for a while before continuing.

"Is everything alright?" Dean asked, looking between John and Mary.

"Everything's fine," Mary bit back, still not looking anywhere near John. "Just differing options and all that. We'll be good soon."

Dean looked between the two of them for another moment before continuing. "It's probably best if we got going then." He awkwardly stood up and made his way over to behind Cas.

Mary quickly stood up and walked outside. The door slammed behind her.

"What did you do?" Sam asked John.

"Nothing," John replied. "We just had different opinions on how we should do things."

"And those opinions were?" Dean asked.

John took a breath before he responded. "I didn't like the way she was just trusting those witches for everything they said. They could have been working for this bitch we're looking for and leading us down the wrong direction. We have no reason what so ever to take what they said at face value."

"Not all witches are evil," Sam tried to explain. "For the most part, they get a bad wrap. Yes, some are evil, and they're a bitch to deal with, but we were with them the entire time they were working. They literally could not have done anything under our noses."

Sam ended with a sigh. He started to pack his computer and the rest of his stuff, so they would be ready to leave early in the morning. "We should leave now. It's going to take a bit to get there."

Sam looked at John motioning for him to leave first. John turned on his heel, before the three in the room left behind him. Mary was leaning against the Impala with her arms crossed in front of her while taking in deep breathes. She looked over at the four men walking toward her. She put a fake smile on her face that everyone says through.

"If we leave now, we'll be able to search all night," she said. She started to rock on the balls of her feet, showing a bit of excitement.

The guys, somewhat agreeing with what she was saying prepared themselves for leaving. Sam and Dean looked in the trunk and made sure that everything was ready after checking that no one else in the parking lot. Once everything was in order, the five of them entered the Impala and headed to their destination.

The sky was pitch black by the time they had arrived. The only light was from the full moon shining from above. The breeze was slowly starting to pick up. People were milling around that area, but none that stood around for too long.

Dean had already popped the trunk and was distributing guns and supplies to everyone. Cas didn't take a gun, but he was adept at using his angel blade. The only difficulty was getting John to take the charm bags. After getting an exasperated look from Mary, he quietly took them anyways.

"How should we split up?" Mary asked.

"Split up?" John asked.

"This area is way too big for us to search every single building one at a time. If we split up on either side of this street, we would still be able to hear each other and be able to search must faster."

"She has a point," Sam noted.

John made a face toward the two of them as Mary and Sam decided how they were going to split up.

"I think it would be better in Dean and Cas split up," Sam said loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Excuse me," Dean turned toward his brother, anger in his eyes.

Sam responded unphased by Dean. "You and Cas have that mental connection thingy, or at least it works better between the two of you than anyone else. If you two are separated, we would have better communication between teams."

Dean went silent for a minute, thinking it over. He knew Sam was right, unfortunately. "Fine. Doesn't mean I have to like it."

"No one asked you to."

"Wouldn't it work if we split up the same way as yesterday?" Mary asked the group. "It worked pretty well. I don't see why it wouldn't tonight."

"It would be faster than figuring out how to separate everyone again," Sam agreed. "You take right while we take left."

Mary nodded in agreement before taking Cas by the arm and practically dragged him away from Dean. Shotgun in hand, she hoped that they deduced the correct part of town and that this would be over soon. The sooner this was over, the more time would have to think about things.
