"Ororo, Hank, are you two ready?" I asked, standing at the front door as they made their way down stairs.
"We are, and again, thank you for letting us stay here." Hank said, with me seeing the others watching us from the second floor, with Wanda walking back into her room, not liking the idea.
"Mutants and humans like, there's nothing different about us." I said, opening the door for them. "Everyone, please do not use your powers in the house. Oh, and stay out of Wanda's room, she gets upset about unwanted company." I said, stepping outside, with me making my way over to the car.
Later, Washington
Opening the doors for both of them, cameras were pointed at us as I escorted them to the podium. As we walked, they talked amongst them selves about how Mutants were allowed in, unannounced. Reaching the podium, the chairman stood up. "What is the meaning of this, who are you?" He questioned, narrowing his eyes at us.
"We are mutants, and this witch hunt is going to stop, NOW!" Orora said, looking at everyone, then back at the chairman.
"And who are you to escort these mutants in here, you have no authority-"
"My name is Dakota Feichko, an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D." I said, shocking him. "While S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't involved personally, I've known mutants for a long time, I even live with one. Listen to what she has to say, because it is important for not only them, but the rest of the world as well." I said, with him looking over at the others, with them nodding as well.
"Speak." He said, not happy about the decision.
"Thank you." Orora said with a nod of her head. "We mutants have lived among you for years without incident. Why do you persecute us now, we are peaceful!" She said, with the chairman placing his hands on the desk.
"Peaceful?" He questioned, not liking that word. "Or just biding your time?" He asked, pulling out a folder and searching through it. "From what we have discovered from the Xavier Institute, you seem to have been preparing for war!?" He said, showing us an image of a destroyed battle room.
"Really?" I asked Hank, with him looking at me.
"Its a training room, to help the students control their powers." He said, with me narrowing my eyes at him.
"With a room like that, I wouldn't want Wanda going in there." I said, with him nodding as it did look bad.
"The room you see before you is to help the students there learn how to control their powers." Orora said, with the man pulling out a picture of the robot.
"And what of this, were you not the ones who made this and released it on the people?" He questioned, with me stepping up.
"Sir, the robot you see before you is what is known as a Sentinel. A robot made to hunt and destroy mutants, and from what I learned from my contacts, destroy the X-Gene. With something like that, they would eventually attack humans who carry said gene, possibly causing global extinction." I said, shocking him. "As for the one responsible for making the robot, S.H.I.E.L.D. is currently using its resources to hunt them down." I said, with him looking at the robot.
"How can we be sure that you didn't build it?" He asked, with me face palming. "You built it, couldn't control it, endangering innocent lives!" He said, with me getting a call. Walking back, I answered it.
"Do as I say." Fury said, with me standing up straight. "Have them switch their monitor over to the third channel, from there, they will see what we are seeing." He said, with me walking over to one of the guards.
"Switch that monitor over to Channel three, this is evidence that we didn't build the robot." I said, with him walking over to the chairman. After a bit, he nodded and the monitor showed up a group of soldiers moving through a building. They came to a stop, showing multiple scientists working on the robot.
"What is this?" He asked, shocked at what he was seeing.
"This is evidence that the mutants didn't create the robot, but humans did." I said, shocking him further as he turned to us. "They didn't attack first, and right now, I have the call of taking them all out." I said, with the soldiers taking aim at all of them as they worked. "But that's not how I do things." I said, holding my phone up to my ear. "Take them all, question them on the Sentinel program." I said, with us seeing them move in.
We watched as they arrested each and every one of them. Then more soldiers appeared, with the feed getting cut, but we all heard gunfire. After what seemed like an hour of waiting, we watched the feed return, with us seeing them surrounding the ones responsible for the creation of the Sentinel.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. will make sure to get answers, and will face justice, the way it should be." I said, with the chairman cutting the feed.
"So the sentinel wasn't created by mutants, but that still doesn't clear you mutants of not being a danger to the people!" He said, standing up. "We will return to this discussion later, we call for a quick recess!" He said, with us walking off to talk about what was to come.
Later
"Look at the evidence, a wake of destruction, you are to blame!" He said, with Hank stepping up to the podium.
"We are people, Mr. chairman, not monsters." He said, removing his glasses. "Regardless of what we can do or what we may look like-"
"You are atrocities!" the chairman said, with me narrowing my eyes at him as he said that. We took notice to the commotion, with us looking around. "Lets see it!" He said, with us looking at the monitor, with us watching the Juggernaut pick up a tank and toss it aside.
'That's where the professor is.' I thought, narrowing my eyes at the monitor.
"Not monsters, Mr. McCoy?" The chairman asked, looking back at us. "Tell that to the sixty thee thousand innocent people living in the valley of that dame!" He said, pointing at the monitor. Looking over at one of the cameras as it looked my way, I gave a nod to it, letting the X-Men know that it was the perfect opportunity to show the world that mutants were friendly's, knowing that they were watching.
"Sir, I request that we keep watching, just to see how much of a monster you think of them to be." I said, with Orora and Hank looking at me in shock. "Relax, the others are on their way there as we speak." I said, with them nodding and looking at the chairman.
"Granted, from what we see, we will determine the fate of all mutants!" He said, sitting down in the chair and facing the monitor. "May god have mercy on the lives of the people." He said, with us facing the monitor. We watched as the juggernaut made his way to the top of the dame, walking and causing destruction the entire way.
After twenty minutes, he took down a chopper by jumping into it, with it taking him to the top. Seeing him toss the first chopper at the second, I knew that the were safe as there was smoke in the pilot seat and then gone the next. "They are there." I said, with the others looking at me.
"Who is there?" The chairman asked, confused as to what I was talking about.
"The ones who are going to solve the problem." I said, with us seeing Kurt appear on TV, placing the two pilots down and teleporting away. We watched as the other started attacking him, with the chairman standing up.
"The same kids from the sentinel attack, you planed this!?" He said, with me looking at him.
"The release of the classified mutant Juggernaut wasn't apart of the plan, but the kids taking him on to ensure the safety of the people, that is." I said, placing my hands behind my back.
"Release, classified mutant? Are you saying that-"
"That he has been locked away, because he is too dangerous to control. Of course, there are stronger mutants than him that are on the lose. There always is, and that is what the Xavier Institute is there for, to insure that they get the training that they need, to control their powers, not let it control them like the Juggernaut." I said, with him sitting down.
We watched as they had knocked him off the dame, each of them doing their best to remove a latch on his helmet. Seeing it pan to the top, we watched Jean and Bobby freeze the water, preventing it from escaping anymore than it should. Seeing the juggernaut make his way to the top again, we watched as Scott blasted him, knocking his helmet off. I knew it was over from there, because Jean could use her powers to knock him out.
That didn't happen and Scott went power hungry, taking his visor off and blasting him. Seeing Scott get tired, we watched the blast fail as the Juggernaut grabbed him, closing his eyes. The others jumped in and started attacking once more, with him knocking everyone away. Rogue got on him and started taking his powers, with me knowing that the others were confused at what was going on.
Seeing her lift the Juggernaut, she tossed him over the side, with Bobby freezing him, with us watching him fall into the lake below. "Uh... What did they just do?" The chairman asked, looking over at us.
"What they were trained to do." Orora said, gaining everyone's attention. "Used their powers for good." She said, with me turning around as I got another call and made my way out of the room.
"Captain Stone here, we found Charles in him container, we're releasing him from containment!" He said, with me nodding.
"The team will be there shortly, I'm sending them the information as we speak." I said, doing just that.
The next day
"I take it that you're all going back to the institute?" I asked, seeing that the X-Men were packed up.
"Yes, we invited Wanda, but she chose to stay with you." Charles said as he turned his chair to face me.
"I feel it best that I stay here with Wanda, and while we still have one year left of school, its best that we drop out, for her safety, and the peoples." I said, with him nodding. "We will look for Magneto, I give you that, and we will take him down." I said, with him nodding and turning around, taking off with the others.
"When do we leave?" Wanda asked, with me looking at her, seeing her standing at her door.
"We pack our things now." I said, with her nodding and going to do just that.
