It has been over three and a half years since Allura's death and The end of the War. And for Lance… He still missed her, but he had sort of 'Moved on'. He worked with his family on their Small farm in Florida.

Everything on the Atlas seemed perfect… Adam and Shiro had put back together there Relationship, Pidge was doing phenomenal with their Tech and Gender Identity, Coran and Romelle had healed and were now started to work on Rebuilding a Place for the Altean Colony, Hunk and Shay had finally started dating, Matt was working well with his Tech and the Coalition, James and Ryan were going on dates, as was Veronica and Axca, Cosmo was doing great and was a wonderful Companion, Kolivan and Krolia had finally had the time and Break to grieve over there losses, visiting Keith frequently, and then there was Keith…

Keith.

That was quite the odd topic.

Lance didn't know what to think.

During his time of Healing over Allura, Keith had always been there. He never made Lance feel alone, and always had the best thing to say. He had been a shoulder to cry on, and never told anyone about what happened when Lance needed someone to talk to, or just someone…

He had grown to trust Keith a lot, to the point…

Well, let's Face it. His heart refused to leave him alone, so now he Sort of… Liked him?

It was an odd thing to think about. And very Confusing. Very confusing, hold up! Identity Crisis much!

Yeah, that was Lance's head right now.

He didn't know what to think to be honest, and he had Already talked Hunk's ear off about it. And from what Hunk had said, he probably did like him. It was really eerie to think of.

He used to think of Keith as a rival back at the Garrison, but he didn't even know why or when it all began. And now he thought of Mullet's eyes at night. What was that even supposed to mean? Again, he didn't know.

Scratch that, he was Clueless!

But he couldn't stop thinking about it.

Which just made his Anxiety heighten.

He didn't even know if Keith had an Interest in men at all, which wasn't very comforting. Sure, he had never seen Keith take an interest in a Girl, and his Friendship with Pidge was anything but romantic if you knew them, but that didn't mean he liked guys

It felt like when he first met Allura all over again except you added a whole load of more confusion and cut out all his confidence since said person was a Guy, and he didn't know what that meant exactly. So, his next best option?

Veronica.

He knew she had at least thought Keith was cute at one point before she met Axca, and she was his Sister.

Time Skip

Lance knocked on the door of his Sisters bedroom on the Atlas.

"Veronica?"

"Come in."

Lance entered.

"Whats Up?"

Lance walked over and sat down on her bed cheerlessly.

"I…"

Veronica looked worried, her brother was usually Upbeat and Confident, but right now…

"Lance, what's wrong?"

"Well…"

"Is it about Allura..?"

Lance shook his head.

"No, no, not that…"

"Then what is it?"

"Uh…"

Lance blushed.

"I might… sort of… maybe… like Keith a little?"

Veronica smiled mischievously.

"And you confused as shit because this is the first time you've liked a guy, so you came to your sister because she has experience with said guy and liking the same gender~?"

Lance groaned.

"What are you, a second Pidge?"

Veronica laughed.

"Hardly, I'm your sister you big tonto!"

Both laughed lightly.

"So... Gonna tell him~?"

Lance was a similar color to his Frijoles rojos de mamá.

Veronica laughed as her brother tried to push her away, very Fluster.

"How about you tell him to meet you somewhere Tomorrow, and tell him then?"

Lance tapped on his knee, thinking it through for once.

"Yeah, yeah! That could work…"

Veronica smiled.

"Also, you should sleep on it, get all prepared tomorrow, and then do?"

Lance nodded.

"No telling anybody, got it? Not even Axca."

"Deal, but no chickening out Mister!"

"Deal, but where should I?"

"Hmmm..."

"What about in the Astronomy Room, then you get a nice view?"

"Yeah… Yeah, that could work, thanks Veronica!"

Lance rushed out of the room, Veronica smiled. It was nice to see her Brother excited for something.

Time Skip

It was the Next day, and Lance was very nervous. It had been years since he had Confessed a crush, so you can imagine he was quite jittery. He heard footsteps from the hallway Connected to the Astronomy Room, and felt his Heart race.

"Lance?"

Keith peaked in, noticing Lance.

"H-hi."

Lance felt his Face heat up, and all the confidence he had seemed to drip away.

"What's up?"
Keith walked over, dangerously Close in Lance's Opinion, and Looked at Lance with concern. Lance felt his face turn into a color that would most Definitely make the Red Lion's Paint Job look pitiful.

"U-uh…"

"Keith I…"

"Lance?"

"I…"

"I-I…"

"Lance, spit it out."
"K-Keith, I… L-like…"

Keith started to worry Lance was about to break down.

"I like you!"

Keith was shocked, Speechless. This was something he had hoped for so long ago, yet that same hope had been long forgotten. And yet, here he was, those words echoing in his Mind. It was impossible, infeasible! But Lance McClain, the man he had loved deeply so long ago, the one he had shoved all loving emotion to deep down, the one he had argued over petty things for years for fun, the man he had decided to choose His Happiness Over His Own, had just Confessed. And this all had been thought in his head in a mear Tic.

"Lance…"

"No it's Ok if you don't feel the same, I totally understand I just wanted to let you know and-"

"Lance."

Lance's eyes widened.

"D-do… Do you too...?"

Keith looked away, nodding, hoping Lance wouldn't ask how long.

"..."

"How long have you known…"

Of course he did, what luck did Keith ever Have? He didn't want to lie to Lance, but… He didn't want to tell him the truth exactly either. But he knew it was better to be honest.

"Since… Since that time back in the Cave's…"

At first Lance thought he meant after the Big fight with Shiro, which left him Feeling disappointed in himself for not realizing sooner, but when he saw the Anguished look in Keith's eyes he realized he meant the First time. Now, he was sorrowful at what that meant, and even Angry that Keith had never said anything.

"Who else knew…"

Keith swallowed, looking down at the ground regretfully.

"Shiro, Pidge, Hunk, Krolia, Adam… Maybe Coran, Probably even Allura…"

Lance felt furious, running out of the room, Leaving Keith.

Time Skip

Lance was angry, simple as that. He went to Hunk, all he got was that it was His Choice. Same thing with Adam. Pidge brushed him off, he didn't know how to Contact Krolia, Coran didn't know what he was talking about, which left Shiro. So he called him and told him to meet him in the Space Greenhouse.

"Shiro."
Shiro looked up to see the Red Paladin, seething and Started to worry.

"What's wrong Lance?"

"Why. Did. You. Never. Tell me!"

Shiro was confused and worried.

"What do you mean?"

"With Keith!"

Shiro's eyes widened, and he felt enraged for some reason that Lance would have this Reaction and not think of Keith. He slammed his hands on a table as support due to his unexplainable Rage.

"I'm not here for you…"

Shiro looked him right in the eyes.

"I know my brother like I know my own mind…"

Lance's eyes widened, backing away a Little.

"He thought you would be better this way…"

Lance's lip quivered.

"You will never find Anyone as Selfless or as Kind!"

"You tore him apart!"

Lance felt a tear Begin to leave his eye.

"And he stood by…"

"Do you know why!"

"My brother Loves us more than anything in this life!"

Lance felt the single tear drop.

"He Chooses are Happiness over His every time!"

Lance put a hand over his mouth to hold back the whimper.

"Keith is the best thing in our lives, so never lose sight of the fact you are blessed to be the thing he Loves!"

"Every sacrifice you make is for my Brother!"

"You…"

"You broke his heart…"

"I…"

"You have no right to his heart!"

"Shiro I-"

Shiro managed to control himself, breathing in.

"I never meant to…"

"I know you didn't, but you did."

"Why did he…"

"He decided you were better off Not knowing anything, he Knew you loved Her, and he thought she would fall for you as well, so he kept silent."

Lance felt another tear fall.

Shiro began walking away, although it hurt.

Keith couldn't believe it.

He had the Chance of a Lifetime to finally be Satisfied, but he threw it away.

Purple patches of fur began to materialize in his skin.

He heard rushed footsteps from the Hallway.

"Keith?"
Lance rushed in when he saw him, holding him, although Keith tried to push him away.

"I messed up…"

"No, I did."

"I didn't think of what this meant to you. I was angry that you didn't tell me, and that was wrong of me, I am sorry."

"No I should-"

"No, this is my fault. You made this choice, and I shouldn't have reacted the way I did."

"But-"

"Keith, you didn't do anything wrong. You thought it was for the best… And sadly, it was at the time…"

Keith nodded, blushing. Lance held him tightly.

"Can you forgive me..?"

"Of course you idiot!"

Keith pressed their foreheads together, and Lance laughed, peering into his eyes.

"Keith, will… will you go on a date… with me?"

Keith's eyes widened, and both turned a color darker than the lion they both once Piloted.

"Yes."

Lance smiled, holding him closer to his chest. And for once, Keith felt…

"Satisfied…"
